"It's found us. We need to run. Now."

The urgency in Gabriel's voice immediately snaps Harry out of the contented lull he'd been lounging in.

There's a flash of lightning across the sky and the boom of thunder that follows shortly shakes the foundations of the house. It strikes again and again, the time between the flash and the sound decreasing rapidly. The windows are rattling rapidly, panels of glass shaking as gales of wind howl in between the loose shutters and shake off the remaining shingles off the roof with a startling "CRACK!".

"Didn't you hear me? We need to leave! NOW! HARRY, GO!"

It's the pleading tone in Gabriel's voice and the tint of fear that Harry hears that ultimately allows Harry to move through his shock and heave himself into a standing position. The wind howls even stronger, and there's a tearing sound before something rams into the side of the house.

A tree. The entire upper half of a fucking tree upends and is thrust through the walls not ten feet away from Harry. The flashing and booming coming from outside is a confusing mass of light, heat, and sound despite the rain now whipping through the cracked eaves of the roof.

The windows shattering is the only warning before the light, wind and noise rise drastically. A large wrenching sound.

The fucking roof upends with a groan.

Between what remains of the infrastructure, two massive flashing eyes of varying colors of red and purple and white peer in angrily. Harry tries to make a sound but only manages a peep. Gabriel manages a strangled groan in between the sound of frantic snapping of fingers.

Shit.
