A/N: I'm very sorry to those who enjoy the Link x Ruto ship (I would call it Fiancéshipping, but that's already taken by Yu-Gi-Oh! GX) but I find it really possessive and awkward for our friend (or enemy) the Hero of Time. I wrote this little poem-fic about Link's view of their relationship (I know I might lose some followers and maybe get some negative reviews, but as they say: Any Publicity is Good Publicity!) Enjoy this train wreck (Or don't):

When I first met you,

You were not free.

Then when I helped you,

You wanted to marry me.

I lay awake every night in the fields,

Trying to find a way to yield.

You come on to strong, and you may be royalty,

But even Princess Zelda doesn't act this way!

You seem a bit controlling,

But with it I'm kind of rolling.

I can't get you off of my mind,

No matter where in there I'm trying to hide.

You haunt my nightly dreams,

When you say you want to marry me.

I want to run away,

But you'd find me and I'd die.

Will somebody help me somebody please?

Will somebody help keep her away from me?

I want to hide, but I know I can't,

Because as a Sage, she has the chance...

To find and kill me...
