As promised, here is a happy story. Hope you enjoy it.

The stars still glittered over Paris as a certain red head sneaked into her best friend's bakery with a little help from the raven head's parents. Soon after the sun rose, Alya tiptoed up the ladder into Marinette's room and pounced on her friend. "Happy birthday, sleepy head!"

"Ugh... Let me sleep more, Alya..." Marinette ducked her head under her blankets more.

"Nope, we are going to have some fun today. And girl, you will not believe who is downstairs."

"They can wait."

"You won't even get up... for Adrien~" Alya cooed. That got Marinette moving. She bolted upright.

"Wh-what? A-adrien in m-m-m-my house?" Stuttered the poor, blushing, Chinese-French girl.

"Yup. I suggest you get the pictures, and the posters, and the schedule, and the other things associated with Adrien hidden." As Alya said this, Marinette was already rushing around, doing whatever she could to de-Adrienize her room. Alya laughed and helped her. "Girl, I've got this, you get dressed. You can't be seen by your crush in your tank top and shorts."

Mari looked down at her pink and black pajamas and squeaked before bolting to the wardrobe and changing. A few minutes later, her room was completely free of her crush's face and she was properly dressed. Alya then dragged her best friend down the ladder and into her living room, where everyone, but Chloe, from their class had gathered. Even Sabrina had managed to come up with a fake story for Chloe to believe so she could attend. Tears welled in Marinette's eyes. "I didn't tell anyone... How did you guys know?"

Nino swung an arm around the birthday girl's shoulders "That would be my bro, Adrien's doin'."

Mari's face turned a darker shade of crimson. "Wh-what?"

Adrien laughed nervously and put his hand behind his head. "Sorry, Marinette. Nathalie dropped a stack of applications for the design competition, and I helped her pick them up. I saw your application and noticed your birthday. I hope you aren't mad..."

"I'm mad- I mean, I'm not mad." Marinette just gave up trying to form a coherant sentence and looked at Alya, who laughed at her friends crisis.

"Who wants cake?" Tom bellowed.

Every hand shot up. Adrien looked at Marinette and the two shared a small, timid, smile.

I know it's short, but I'm a bit busy. I also have an angsty fanfic that I'm going to put out right after this. So mwahaha. Love you guys. ~Dec.
