The Royal Elite Palace
December 31st, 2018
Dylan Marvil moaned slightly, pushing her wild red hair out of her face and biting her lips through motions. Dylan parted her lips in the moment before hearing a click come from her dressing room door. The Royal Elite Palace was the official host of Merri-Lee Marvil's 2k18 New Years Yves Party and Dylan was this years host - though her attention was fully attending to the girl between her legs and how she was still hiding away from the rest of the world who she really loved. It was almost two thousand and nineteen. She survived the scandal that her former best friend Kristen Gregory created by leaking the proof her intimate lifestyle including her relationship with Layne Abeley and instead of being able to own her sexuality and becoming a gay icon like Lady Gaga, she was saving face to pitch 'Dazzling Dylan' to Bravo TV which included a relationship faker than her older sister Ryan's new set of breast with -
"Kemp!" Layne popped up, shaking her head in disgust as she adjusted the blanket that was barley covering the girls.
"There's nothing in here that I haven't seen before." Kemp Hurley, Dylan's faux-beau spoke in a disinterested tone as he shut the door behind himself. The last month had been a bit more than a drag after his parents handed him over to the Marvil family via contract. The tall male waited on the attention of the girls before he finally spoke. "Some lady named Maeve is waiting for you in your moms room." Kemp stated to Dylan, ignoring Layne's presence.
"Maeve Reilly?" Dylan jumped up, searching the for for her frilly underwear. "My mom got her to style me?"
"Us." Kemp smirked, cutting his eye at Layne who was obviously less than pleased. Their dynamic wasn't quite a triangle, but even though Layne 'had' Dylan, Kemp had something that Layne wanted. The title. Publicly he was praised and allowed to grope Dylan, posing for cameras and showing off what they had. The two were described as 'goals' and even though a contract felt over-rated to Kemp, apparently it got under Layne's skin that she wasn't in his position. "She wants us to be the most fashion forward couple of 2019."
"And she put you in that?" Layne scoffed eyeing the males plaid tie-dye flannel that wasn't exactly New Years Yves attire but it screamed Kemp Hurley.
'Better than the trash bin out back where the Marvil's put you,' was what Kemp so desperately wanted to say. Instead he cleared his throat and looked down at the dark haired girl. "This is getting old Layne." He spoke. "Starting with having to walk in on you two and ending with your smart ass comments."
"Don't you fucking think that I'm over having to sneak around with my girlfriend?"
"Can you two stawp?" Dylan groaned, adjusting her robe and looking at the two of them. Things weren't ideal and she understood it. Kemp and Layne were roped into something that clearly only benefited Dylan and neither of them said it. The girl rubbed her nude lips together and leaned in to kiss Layne before turning to Kemp. "Come on." The girl gestured, taking his hand and leading him through the halls. Their were reporters, workers, stylists, elites and even a few lucky fans that flooded the building beneath her but Dylan Marvil was on the top floor dealing with the problems that plagued her and becoming New York's version of Kylie Jenner. Dylan was on the list of New York's elite girls and Merri-Lee was soaking it all in to seal the deal for 'Dazzling Dylan', inviting girls like Yale Rockefeller, Ariana Biermann and Rose Schlossberg to become her new elite besties and future co-stars. Dylan entered her mothers room, being smacked by the aroma of Carolina Herrera 'Légère'. Dylan preferred 'Good Girl', or even better, 'Kimoji Cherry' though her nose was becoming enamored with Tom Ford's 'Lost Cherry' in attempt to stand alone from Reality TV's #1 family.
"Dylan, finally!" After these few months, Merri-Lee looked at Dylan as if she were the family's prized pig or most honored cow. Dylan loved it. Her green eyes shimmered when her mother smiled and she gave her one of the biggest hugs. "Maeve just left, but she chose to style you over Hailey Beiber. That says something." Merri-Lee communicated with a cheshire grin on her face. It meant that Dylan made it. Or, was close enough to making it that the celebrity inner circle saw it. She wondered what Hailey thought when she was denied her own stylist for Dylan Marvil especially given her history with Justin Beiber - Dylan's former fling and Hailey's current husband. She was one of them.
"What does she have me wearing?" The red head asked, her eyelashes bat as she glanced at the outfit.
"Saint Laurent mini dress , Alberta Ferretti sequin boots, and a $1,700 Prada robe." Ryan, Dylan's oldest sister and the Marvil's former prized pig spoke up. She tried to sound less than interested - the same trick that Massie taught Dylan, but Dylan could hear the hint of jealousy in Ryan's voice almost every time that her sister spoke to her. A few scandals and well lit Instagram pictures triumphed an Ivy League scholarship and Ryan obviously wasn't happy about it. Sure, it wasn't right - Dylan agreed, but it was this current society's climax. The country's president wasn't an Ivy League graduate but he was an interesting person and good at Twitter. Dylan shrugged her sister off, looking at her mother as she took the dress bag, winking at Ryan before exiting to her own room.

The Rivera Estate
December 31st, 2018
Alicia's sleek and curly ponytail bounced as she got ready in the mirror of the Spanish themed foyer of the Riveria family mansion awaiting her ride to Queens, New York and the party of the year, Merri-Lee's New Years Yves party hosted by Alicia's former friend Dylan Marvil. 2018 was a wild ride. One that made Alicia think 2017 was her last time ever being invited to such a coveted event. Each girl in the Pretty Committee had their own set of assets that made them valuable to the bigger picture. Even after all these years Dylan held up her end of the deal. She was their exclusive pass into all things elite. Alicia, Kristen and even Massie were just normal girls but Dylan is a celebrity. Especially after the last few years. Alicia thought she'd attend some other event, or visit her family in Spain at an attempt to pretend she was having a good time with not being involved in the festivities especially since 'this year' Merri-Lee let Dylan take over and the party was a mix of elites and Dalton students -invitation only. And to her surprise, Alicia got one. As Alicia's phone buzzed, Kristen Gregory emerged from the other room. Maybe showing up to a Marvil family event hosted by Dylan, wasn't the best idea if Kristen is on her side. Alicia had been iced out but Kristen was off in a foreign dog house and her invitation must've been a fluke.
"Maybe we should just go to NYU with Cam." Alicia blinked, looking at Kristen who's only concern seemed to be how low cut her Marchesa midi dress was. Kristen seemed to forget the events of this recent October and her optimism on a friendship connecting all six girls in 2019 honestly sent chills down Alicia's spine. It'd be a lie to for the olive toned diva to say she didn't think about a time where they weren't against each-other and the power they had when they were all on the same level but too much changed. With one another, and within themselves. Cam and Alicia still weren't official. Not even X-Mas in the Hamptons could make that happen and Alicia no longer cared one way or another which sucked.
"Why would anyone go to a college party when they have tickets to an A-List event?" Kristen challenged. In 2017, Merri-Lees New Years Yves Party was the most watched television event. There were snakes in cages and Kristen was apart of it. The invitation was an olive branch and Kristen would be an idiot not to accept even after the things she's done. Alicia let out a light breath and nodded in agreement.
"That makes sense on paper." Alicia cut her eye at the blonde. "That's most likely what the other people going are thinking since Dylan opened the pearly gates and brightened the TV lights but we aren't just anyone. We were ... what's the word, oh yeah - exiled."
"Exiled?" Kristen let out a hearty laugh, examining her reflection. She would not walk into this party looking less than a 20. "This isn't fucking Elba." She laughed slightly at her own joke even though she could tell Alicia didn't understand it.
"What?" Alicia blinked. "Don't do the 'smart friend' thing. You wanna make jokes about Elba, you can go hangout with the history geeks." Alicia rolled her eyes. "But if we're gonna fuck with the Eagles, and get our spots back in the herd then we gotta get ready because shit is about to get real." Kristen nodded and rubbed her glossed lips together.
"A group of Eagles is actually a convocation, but I like the pep-talk." Kristen bit her lip.

The Royal Elite Palace
December 31st, 2018
The crystals on the Bavarian chandeliers glimmered against the silver Jil Sander jacket that Chris Plovert was wearing while he walked through the ballroom of the Royal Elite Palace. Merri-Lee's New Years Yves party was the event of all events and even though he wasn't as close to Merri-Lee's middle daughter, Dylan, as he was this time last year he still knew he was in for a good time. He slid is X-R into his pocket and scanned the room for someone he knew. Surprisingly, it was harder than he initially thought it'd be. Word around Dalton was that Dylan was given the reigns to invite their classmates to an elite event. Chris' friends informed him that they were at the bar, however, there were various bars around the venue and like any other elite event, there were no rules if it made interesting press. The boys Balenciaga combat boots lifted as he went to greet his three closest friends in the moment, his smile was bright and before he could part his teeth, he heard the familiar voice of Kemp Hurley.
"Jose, my man!" Kemp grinned at the wild haired bartender, making room within the small circle for Chris Plovert before he continued to speak. "We need another 'Millionaire'." Kemp requested, referring to the cocktail that the rest of his friends were drinking.
"That sounds like a sentence heard in the Marvil residence." Josh let out a laugh as he kept his eyes on his own 'Millionaire'. In all honesty, he knew his friends weren't fans of the Bourbon whiskey, it just happened to be the least cliche and 'manliest' cocktail on the list.
"Usually said before they call me." Kemp smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. Kemp Hurley was an extraordinary specimen. Josh thought about their conversations and memories, imagining that one day they'd have to recite their stories for a Kemp documentary about how wild, amazing and broken he was. Even when they were making good memories, in the pit of his stomach Josh felt sorry for the male who had 'everything'.
"How is that going, by the way?" Josh cut his eye at Kemp. The month of November ended with Kemp in the center of a nude scandal that erupted so big - that his parents decided to pay attention to him. December began with Kemp Hurley signing over three months of his life to Dylan Marvil and the producers over at Bravo TV. Kemp Hurley was now under a microscope and couldn't even enjoy the biggest party of the year in typical 'Kemp Hurley' style because this was a job. He's a celebrity just as Dylan is, but it wasn't exactly by choice.
"Good," Kemp grinned in his usual mannequin stature. Between Kemp Hurley's naturally structured face and his ability to hide how he really felt about things it was an inside joke with the guys when they were younger. It was no longer funny. "I'm always good."
"I'm always good," Derrick repeated as he sipped from his drink, letting out a light chuckle. 2018 was a fucking roller coaster for him and all of his boys but it was finally over.
"No the fuck you aren't." Kemp looked over at Derrick and shoved him with a laugh. "What are you gonna do when you finally see Massie?" All of the boys knew that Massie had been a sensitive subject since they broke up during their not so romantic trip to Lake Placid. No one knew what exactly happened but judging by how they still avoid one another - it had to be intense.
"What should I do?" Derrick scoffed. It was a party. Just like at Dalton, there were ways for Derrick to make sure he didn't see her only the venue was ten times bigger. What could he do, or say? He still loved Massie and absolutely adored her, but he also couldn't look at her. "I'm gonna party and hve fun with you guys."
"Yeah until Liv shows up." Plovert added, letting out a laugh as he referred to Olivia Ryan and their happy as fuck relationship. Who would've thought that Chris Plovert would be the only guy in the group to end the year in an amazing relationship. Josh and Derrik were very single as of December 31st, 2018. Kemp was technically single but he probably had obligations to uphold being Dylan Marvil's fake boyfriend and Cam ... didn't exist to any of them.

Lyons Family Estate
December 31st, 2018
Claire Lyons was getting ready to attend the Merri-Lee New Years Yves party. It wasn't her first time going but every time became more exciting than the last. However, this time was going to be way different than the last. The Pretty Committee evaporated as well as her relationship with Cam Fisher. The party in 2017 was way different. The girls spent the entire day getting ready with the Marvil's GlamSquad and Claire felt like she was having the time of her life. Now she was at the Fisher estate being hounded by her younger brother who was outside her door waiting on her to be his ride. Her friendship with Dylan Marvil was more than intact but Claire didn't know if it were enough to survive the night. She didn't even have anyone to tell her if her Valentino dress went well with her sequin kimonos. She was already mixing metals and she didn't even know if Aimee from Sephora did a good enough job with her smoky eye to compete with the Bravo TV cameras. For gods sake, she didn't even know if she was a smoky eye kind of girl. Claire rolled her eyes at the constant competition she put herself in. It was probably all in her head. Dylan explained to her that the party would be filled with A-Listers and the elites. No one would actually care who she was or what she was wearing. Right?
"Claire, what the fuck? Mom and dad already left!" The blonde scoffed at her brothers anxious tenue, but what could she really expect. It was Todd's first social event since the Winter Gala in November and his expulsion from the Dalton Academy. After Todd was selected as an event coordinator along with the Westchester counsel for their school, he was whisked into honor and popularity until Claire's former friend, Kristen Gregory decided to expose less than decent photographs and videos from Todd's IP address. He was even investigated for distributing child pornography until Dylan pleaded with her mother to abandon the inquest all together. Even though Claire didn't think their parents were convinced of Todd's innocence they recently began going easier on him.
"I'm coming!" She yelled, flinging her bedroom open for her brother to enter as she jumped around the lavish bedroom trying to quickly slip into her Versace embellished thigh high boots."
"Josh was literally here two days ago and you were wearing four day old sweatpants." The boy scoffed watching his sister struggle. Claire winced and nearly broke her thumbnail whilst trying to keep her balance. None of that was Todd's problem. "You don't have to try and get all dolled up for him." He laughed and Claire blushed, rolling her eyes.
"Josh is just a friend." A hot friend. It's true, at times when Claire and Joshua Hotz were alone she swore she felt sparks, or butterflies - or maybe she was just horny. It had been a while since she had a boys attention in the romantic fashion. However, she and Josh were dealing with the same heartbreak that she was dealing with which could bring way more drama than she felt she could handle.
"The only one I like right now." Todd added.
"Yeah, me too." Claire said simply. She mentally vowed that 2019 would be different. She spent way too long caring about people who really didn't care about her. She had been doing it since she got to Westchester and she was tired. She knew who she was deep down and if the people in her life couldn't accept it than why should she try any harder with them?

Massie Block's naturally curly hair bounced as she entered the venue, walking to the tune of Kylie's baby-daddys song, 'Sicko Mode'. Leave it to Massie to walk into an elite event wearing clothing fresh off of the runway, Versace to be specific. Massie Block was also apart of the rare clique of stunners that could pull off Fenty Beauty's 'Trophy Wife' highlighter, and she was proving that as soon as she walked through the door. Massie and Dylan were nawt friends. They hadn't been friends since New Years Yve 2014 even though it took her a while to admit it. Though, Massie wasn't friends with anyone for that matter. She had just went through the most traumatic moment of her entire seventeen years and she did it alone. The way she normally liked it, but it was becoming toxic. After the Lake Placid trip, Massie had given Derrick the cold shoulder until after her procedure, and after her ex-boyfriend made it clear that he didn't approve, he decided that he no longer wanted to be with her. It was almost like Massington had been too good to be true, Massie was sure it was a matter of time before it all blew up in her face. Still, she was Massie Block and 2019 was going to be iconic for her whether or not Derrick Harrington was apart of her year. What's a Queen without a king? What's Beyonce without Jay-Z? The same bad bitch, regardless. Her amber eyes scanned the crowd as the lights bounced off of her Versace embroidered alphabet icon purse. She shifted and made her way to the bar, smirking at the very handsome bartender.
"Versace," The male spoke as if it were Massie's government name, not that she minded. Getting the approval from a fabulously gay male was worth more than the group ratings she recived back in seventh grade.
"All day," The girl bat her eyelashes at the male looking at him happy he noticed.
"What can I get for you tonight?"
"Something that goes cute with my outfit." Massie grinned brightly. Even though Massie felt like an LBR showing up to an elite party, maybe she'd meet some new friends. It was the same party she met Alicia, Kristen and ah-viously Dylan of the Marvil clan, and the girls have had their good times. The male gave her another glance over before he began to do his thing. The girl gripped her iPhone X and slid her chrome covered coffin nail through her phone as she investigated the premises via her instagram location. She knew that the party would have movers and shakers and definitely people of celebrity status' since Merri-Lee's new favorite daughter, Dylan made the guest list. Massie hummed slightly to herself before the bartender got her attention by placing a gorgeous drink infront of her. The girls eyes glimmered, she didn't know if she wanted to drink it, but she instantly took a picture for her instagram story watching the gold flecks swirl in the cocktail glass. "What's this called?"
"Elite Grapetini."
"Elite. Fitting." Massie nodded in approval.
"I couldn't agree more." A blonde haired girl with a sleek ponytail and a colbalt blue plunging mini dress glided into the seat next to Massie with a smirk on her face.
"Why are you speaking to me?" Massie asked, not bothering to look at Skye Hamilton, why the hell should she?
"I can't?" Skye's doe eyes blinked as Massie decided she would give her hell. The younger girl had been trying hard to be a better person. She realized a long time ago that the Westchester elitest lifestyle brought out the worst in her but at this point ... oh well. She tried to ignore Skye's texts and advances in the hallways, she didn't even wear the customized purple Birkin that Skye had gotten her for Christmas. Hand-painted and exclusive only the DSL-Daters got them and Skye declared Massie and honorary member. If Stacy, Derrick Harrington's older sister, hadn't told Massie about the truth in Skye and Derrick's relationship and a 'secret' they had between them that Massie thought should've been disclosed with Massie during their conversations. "Did you love the bag I got you? Or did you love the bag I got you?"
"Cut the shit." Massie said with a straight face. "The only reason I didn't burn that shit on camera is because I'm planning on using it for a Fashion Week give-a-way for my fans." She spoke dryly.
"You're going to regift a Birkin?"
"As if I should be honored you got me something I could've gotten myself." Massie scoffed, swirling the grape bouquet in her drink.
"Greatful." Skye corrected.
"For?"
"A friendship. I can tell you could use one lately." Skye bat her eyelashes. She was doing the thing where she pretended to be sickenly sweet, when in reality she was being condescending and taunting. Reminiscent of the 'Mean Girls' scene where Regina compliments the 'ugliest effing skirt she has ever seen'. Massie could choke Skye in the moment.
"If I have to settle for a bitch like you, I'm okay?"
"A bitch like me? I am that bitch." Skye spoke confidently. "Everyone wants to be me." Skye stood up. "Including you." She challenged. At one point in Massie's life, she unequivocally wanted to be Skye Hamilton. Like everyone else did but this was the point in the conversation where Massie had to put Skye in her place.
"See," Massie narrowed her eyes at the blonde, waving her index finger around. "That's where you're wrong." Massie grinned as Skye as she proceeded to let Skye Hamilton have it. "You've officially reached your peak. I have a spot as press for NYFW and you have ... nothing. I know people at FIT who know that you didn't get in." Massie started. "Not that I'm surprised, or not that you care. You care about Juilliard. Another school you didn't get into because instead of shining at mommy and daddy's dance studio, the only dancing you do is on couches at basement parties after doing lines in the bathroom with your faux-boyfriend who actually did get into NYU." Massie said in disgust. "Why would I ever want to be you? You've proven yourself to be half the woman that I am."
"Well after that procedure, you're half the woman that you are." Skye scoffed smugly, crossing her arms. "That's obviously why Derrick le-" Skye almost went on but Massie had enough. She didn't want to hear what Skye had to say so she lifted her right hand and swung it towards Skye's face to shut her up, drop her smirk and her diamond hoop out of her ear. Skye's entire face fell as red as her right cheek as Massie held her head up and walked away from the blonde.

Josh slid off his Dsquared2 denim jacket as he walked through the party. His time so far had been sprinkled between his guys, and a few beautiful girls that were in attendance. Joshua Hotz was officially single and he briefly entertained the idea of playing the field without taking anyone seriously. In reality, he was hoping to run into Claire Lyons. She had been a friend for years but now he was getting to truly know her. For years, he kept a wall up because she wasn't like the other girls. At one point, he thought he'd be attending her wedding as a groomsman while she married his former best friend and now he found himself crushing on her like an old school Briarwood boy. Josh had been texting Claire through out the day and she 100% said she'd be in attendance. The tanned male sighed slightly smirking at a girl who gave him a wink before noticing another familiar face. Alicia Rivera was the only girl he was ever inlove with. His personaly personification of perfection. However, that was before she cheated on him with his best friend and broke his heart. Shit was hard, especially seeing Alicia and Cam all over one another. When Claire gave Josh the necessity to stop texting Alicia without a response, was when the girl started texting him back. Even a few seductive texts and pictures that put Josh in an awkward position because a part of him really liked Claire, and a part of him was still in love with Alicia. It was too bad he couldn't find Derrick in the crowd because after Derrick Harrington's sudden break up with Massie Block the two promised one another that they'd be eachothers 'love sober' coach. Josh said he'd help Derrick avoid Massie and Derrick was supposed to stop Josh from what he was about to do, "Leesh." The male smiled slightly, Alicia's eyes becoming bright. "I thought you were going to that NYU party that Cam posted about." Josh asked, only to get insight on where exactly Alicia and Cam stood, making it clearer where Alicia and Josh stood.
"No." Alicia shook her head. She and Cam felt more like a phase now that she took her time to be out of it. She thought that her infatuation with Cam was due to how sweet he was with Claire but now she realized, the way Cam was with Claire had been a lie, and it was exclusive to Claire and Cam just like Alicia would only ever feel the way she felt with Josh - with Josh. And she fucked up. Some ration of Alicia's brain knew she fucked up when she saw look on Josh's face when he found out about Cam but she couldn't pretend anymore. "I wanted to see you tonight." The girl admitted in an honest tone. Some things were worth swallowing her pride and Josh was the top of the list. "Midnight kisses on New Years were always so special for us." Because I went out of my way to make them special, Josh thought as Alicia spoke. "I'm not saying we have to just jump into that stuff but I really just miss you." The raven haired girl admitted, inching closer to Josh who habitually, wrapped one of his arms around Alicia's tiny waist. "Even if we're just friends, helping eachother with our Ivy applications and trading stories about our crazy ass Spanish parents." Alicia grinned hopefully, "She missed every single part of her relationship with Josh. Before Josh could part his lips, he heard the voice of reason - Derrick Harrington.
"Come on bro," Derrick spoke to Josh even though he was eyeing Alicia. He never liked her. But he especially disliked her after what she did to their friend group. "I met some Spence girls over by the lounge." The blonde spoke with a light smirk after Alicia's face dropped. Alicia didn't deserve Josh after everything. "I told them about you." Josh cut his eye at Alicia and bit his lip before looking in the direction of four girls that were waving at them. Derrick moved closer to Josh to say something privately- though it was obvious that Alicia could hear him. "I got dibs on the blonde, Ahnna, but all her friends are hot." Derrick grinned.
"Alright man," Josh agreed. He and Derrick had a conversation days ago about how hard it was for Derrick to be around Massie since their breakup. Josh didn't even know why it happened, but he knew it was intense which is how he knew Derrick was definately on the rebound but so was Josh. He knew he was into Claire but he shouldn't go for a girl he could potentially ruin a future with because he was still inlove with his ex. Maybe Derrick was right when he said they both needed meaningless distractions.
Dylan danced seductively for the cameras surrounded by a group of elite girls that Bravo TV placed around her to party. At first, the red haired girl wondered if it was how Kendall met Gigi, but still, she was in the market for a good group of girlfriends, obviously, her last group was fake but atleast this time she knew about it. The girl rose her periwinkle chrome and studded middle fingers to the camera as she lip synced to Ariana Grande's 'Thank You, Next' as her mother and her Housewives of New York 'friends' joined the mix. Dylan and Merri-Lee were mother daughter goals all over the internet since they were photographed at Kris Jenner's XMAS party and Merri-Lee capitalized on everything after Dylan's leak. Their PR team decided that Dylan and Kemp would release a public statement giving the Merri-Lee Marvil 'DailyGrind' the exclusive filled with tears, Dylan's childhood memories and videos ending with her 'boyfriend' at her side whilst they both talked about being sexually fluid and the betrayal they endured by an 'unnamed mutual friend' due to the leak. The media ate up that Dylan was just a regular girl trying to adjust to a life in the spotlight and that sex isn't a 'dirty' thing when it's with someone you love. When Merri-Lee script-idly asked about the person who leaked her videos, Dylan's answer was that she was heartbroken about it and would talk more about it when she was ready. They all knew she'd be 'ready' on the premier of 'Darling Dylan'. Dylan wrapped her arms around her mothers slim figure that was being hugged by a periwinkle Mac Duggal sequined gown. Merri-Lee kicking her leg out of the high slit of her gown as a dance made Dylan laugh so hard her face turned red. When the commercial break started, Merri-Lee grabbed her daughter's arm and smiled at her. "Dylan I'm so proud of the woman you've become." Merri gestured for a walking waitress to give the both of them a cotton candy champagne flute, Dylan's choice for the party. "I mean it Dylan. These last few months you've proven yourself and now you're about to take this empire to the next level. The 'Darling Dylan' segment was my most watched segment ever. It topped the Abby Boyd and Hadley Durk sit down. You're amazing." Dylan siled slightly and bit her lip with a nod.
"I'm happy you're proud."
"I Really am." Merri-Lee hugged the younger girl, before rubbing her arm. "We decided to let you close out the show."
"Me?"
"You," Merri-Lee admitted. "And your friends,"
"My what?" Dylan let out a laugh before 'realizing' her mother must've meant the girls she set her up with.
"Claire's here, Massie's here ... "
"Massie?" Dylan blinked. "She's here?" Dylan checked over her shoulder as if she'd be able to spot her in the crowd.
"After the segment on the Daily Grind, the comments were flooded about those throwback pictures of those adorable little sleep overs you girls used to have. Did you know Massie was a top 10 fashion blogger to watch? She has fans in the UK. Claire is adorable and that Alicia -"
"Alicia's here?" Dylan asked.
"She still looks like a super model." Merri-Lee gushed. "But not like you, you have a star quality none of them have. And plus we thought it was best to put you with ... normal girls, so that you're higher than their level. The other girls are flashy but you can't compete with Yale Rockefeller yet." Merri-Lee explained. "We even have this adorable clip of you when you were younger, all waving at the New Years Yves party in ... I can't even remember what year,"
"2011." Dylan answered. "When I met the girls."
"Exactly eight years!" Merri-Lee grinned. "See, it's perfect. I'll have everyone set up before midnight."
Alicia looked back at Josh hit it off with Derrick and a group of girls one last time before she shoved through the party. She couldn't care less about Kristen's agenda - they couldn't even get close to Dylan if they tried. She was in V.I.P and they obviously would never be on the list. Alicia's chunky heeled Prada boots stomped through the crowd before she noticed Kristen talking with ... Dempsey? What the fuck ever. Alicia didn't have the time to care. "I'm leaving and I'm your ride so you're leaving too." Alicia demanded.
"Come on, Leesh!" Kristen gasped. "We haven't even talked to the girls yet.
"I don't care, I'm ready to go."
"Look, there's Olivia." Kristen smirked at Alicia and darted towards Olivia with a grin on her face. "Liv!" She said excitedly as she approached the blonde. Olivia Ryan, their former friend, was dripped in head to toe Versace.
"Why are you with her?" Olivia cut her eye at Alicia Rivera. Olivia and Kristen's friendship unfortunately fizzled out. After the Gala and Kristen's drunk statements Olivia ghosted her. However, Kristen dm'd the girl an apology and Olivia actually accepted it following with them liking and commenting emojis over eachothers pictures. In this day and age, that meant they were on good enough terms.
"I wanna propose something." Kristen spoke. "To all of the girls." The blonde spoke.
"Okay?"Olivia cut her eye at Alicia again. "And that is?"
"A good, old fashioned sleepover. Not like last time where it was a competition. A genuine, therapeutic one where we clear the air and talk about everything we all did to eachother."
"We all?" Olivia asked. "As in?" Olivia asked, looking between the girls.
"The three of us, Massie, Claire and Dylan."
"Massie would never come to something like that." Olivia waved off. "And Claire wouldn't talk to Alicia ever again and if Dylan talks to you -"
"Dylan invited me." Kristen pointed out. "It's worth a shot."

Massie adjusted her chest in the Versace blazer she was wearing, sipping her cotton candy champagne - a great choice, and making her way to the lounge area. Knowing the Marvils' the even was filled with elites, specifically fashion elites and after Massie's show down with Skye Hamilton she decided to make her rounds and become the bitch she wanted to be in 2019. Her senior year of high school would never-ever be her prime like Skye Hamilton and what she did ... wasn't going to be in vein and for no reason like when Skye did it. She made her decision based on what she wanted the rest of her life to be and she didn't want to be taunted for it. She hated herself enough as it is. The girl made her way to the lounge before realizing it was occupied specifically by Derrick and a very pretty - Skye Hamilton look alike. Looks like her ex-boyfriend was making the most of his night. The girl b-lined in the opposite direction when she was halted by the booth of the psychic Hermia. The womans gray eyes haunted Massie at times when she thought about James and their relationship. As the girl got closer, she realized that Hermia wasn't actually there. The booth had a cardboard cut out of her face and body propped infront of a table with a crystal ball that looked more like a lava lamp. Not like the one she remembered Hermia having. Massie was more spooked now than ever but she still took a seat infront of the desk. The girl took a deep breath and heard iPad infront of her chime. It was mounted at the table and was inscribed at the bottom as 'Property of Hermia's Truth Tarrot Inc.' Massie gulped when she heard a voice referring to her as the 'girl with the power', Massie sat up straight gasped slightly when she saw the woman and her piercing eyes in the flesh. "We have so much to discuss." Hermia extended her small hands across the table to Massie who immediately took the woman's hands, watching the crystal ball. "Your convocation has fallen apart, but you are all about to rise as an odyssey." Hermia held her head up, smirking at the girl who knitted her eyebrows together.
"Wha-?"
"Just remember, five is fine. Six is one too much." Hermia added, not that it made anything easier for Massie to understand.
"Whatever." Massie scoffed. "Let's talk about careers." Massie grinned.
"You wanna talk about love." Hermia knew but Massie stayed still. The womans hands departed and she began to draw cards. Massie's nails lifted to pick one, however instead, Hermia threw the entire deck in the air, managing to grab a card from the air and slamming it to the table. "The Queen of Wands." Massie liked the sound of it. "The Queen of Wands is a lively, passionate, and independent woman. She suggests a person who is career-oriented and successful."
"So I'm the queen?" Massie perked up.
"Essentially." Hermia spoke. "And Daniel will become the most important person in my life."
"Derrick." Massie corrected almost instantly remembering that Hermia did tend to mix names.
"Daniel." Hermia changed. "Who the hell is Daniel?" Massie asked though Hermia studied the crystal ball once again. "Is he hot?" Massie mumbled looking at the crystal ball. "Is that all for love?" She asked, in a hopeful tone.
"The Empress and the World." Hermia started. "There will be an end of a situation that does not satisfy you, to start a new cycle in which you will feel better. It is highly probable that a man you already know will be the main vector of this change. He will act and he will approach you, you won't have to do anything. Your behavior to him will define what happens in the future. It is you who dictates the rules and you are the center of everything. Tell him what you really believe and think about your feelings." Massie nodded and sat in silence for a moment as she tried to think about everything that Hermia told her and how she was less confused than when she first sat down.

Claire pushed her long hair put of her face, as Lady Gaga played in the background. So far, the night felt normal. Or atleast more normal than she expected it to. Most of her time was spent with Layne and a few other girls from school, she even spent a brief moment dancing with her mother and her younger brother Todd until her feet needed a break. She strolled past the Hermia booth and to the lounge, taking a seat at one of the royal blue coaches to slip out of her Versace thigh high boots, a greater ordeal than getting them on when she saw a hand that wasn't her own, placed on his high heel. "Cinderella upgraded to designer thigh highs?" Josh Hotz spoke, making Claire grin.
"Prince Charming upgraded from sweatpants." Claire teased, watching Josh slide her boots off with ease - Josh probably had enough practice with Alicia. Claire rubbed her feet for a moment and smiled slightly at the boy who was now sitting next to her. Her blue eyes wandered to Derrick Harrington and a group of girls who had their eyes on them. "And I think Prince Charmings court is waiting on him. You," Claire gestured.
"Come on," Josh chuckled. "I haven't seen you all night and it's almost eleven." Josh pointed out. Claire didn't know he was hoping on seeing her but after a conversation with Layne, she knew that Josh had been flirting with his ex-Alicia. They weren't together, they weren't even talking about being together but Claire felt herself catching feelings for Josh. Then again, if Cam had showed up, after everything she couldn't say she wouldn't still be reminiscent of their memories and the nostalgia of romance on New Years Yves.
"Well, now you see me." Claire pointed out.
"And now I wanna dance." Josh smiled.
"I just took my shoes off," Claire pointed out.
"These floors are marble and you have on these little stockings," Josh teased.
"Shut up," Claire giggled slightly, putting her arms around Josh's shoulders as Lady Gaga played in the background. "How was your night so far?" She asked, her eyes glimmered. She knew what she wanted to ask, but was it her place.
"I've mostly been doing this," Josh nodded his head towards Derrick who was juggling three girls at the moment. "He's in the same boat as us ... I guess. I don't know what happened with Derrick and Massie but he's going out of his way to avoid her, and make sure he sees her." Claire listened.
"So, you're baby sitting? Pretending to have fun with those girls?"
"I guess you can say that." Josh chuckled. "They aren't that bad, just alittle ... groupish. I don't know how Dylan knows them." Josh spoke with a light laugh on his lips. "All of their names are like, Anna, or Banana or something." He laughed.
"Were you flirting with Fo Fanna?" Claire laughed.
"Nah." Josh laughed at the girl. As they danced he could hear Claire humming along to the song which calmed him in a way. All the nervousness and butterflies. "None of them are my type."
"Really?" Claire sighed in more of a relief but than again, Alicia Rivera was the perfect girl for him, and apparently Cam as well.
"Really," Josh pulled away to talk before he saw Alicia from behind Claire, waving him over. "What?" Josh said more to himself, which got Claire's attention, her face dropped.
"You can go if you want," Claire assured Josh as she watched Alicia. If it wasn't weird enough for her, Olivia came up next to Alicia calling for Claire.
"I think they want you..." Josh said as more of a question.
"Why though?" Claire asked, looking at Josh for a moment.

Dylan smiled as her arms were wrapped around Layne Abeley, her little secret. Sure it was cute and fun when it was their choice but now? She hated it. They were hidden behind the entire party just so that they could have a true moment alone. "And now my mom wants me to ring in the new year with the Pretty Committee." Dylan continued.
"After what Kristen did to you? Is that damage control stunt not enough?" Layne scoffed. Layne had a right to be upset and annoyed but Dylan just wanted to keep her mother proud of her no matter what it cost her right now.
"Not Kristen. But that doesn't mean the other girls will be down." Dylan pouted. "You know I love Claire, but Massie and Alicia? It's been forever since I talked to them, and I'm not about to force Claire to be around Alicia for me."
"You mean like how you force me to be around Kemp?" Layne challenged, which caused her to pull away. "And now I have to hide at my girlfriends big party. And all of your big moments."
"Babe," Dylan bit her lip since she didn't know what to say in the moment. She waited on the words to come to her but she couldn't speak. "I-"
"All the other couples are going to have their moment and what am I gonna be doing, standing off to the side while your with your friends? Or your fake boyfriend?"
"Layne, I know it's a mess right now but I love what we have and I know it's not fair for me to ask this of you." Dylan sighed slightly.
"I can't do this though Dylan. It's not fair at all and you've never asked that of me but yet here I am." Layne pointed out. She was already dealing with it all. "I'm out, I shouldn't have to hide."
Massie made her way into the washroom to check her makeup (and distract herself from staring at Derrick all night) when she noticed Judi Lyons, Claire's mother, powdering her nose. "You look beautiful Mrs. Lyons." Massie said honestly. Judi looked like an average, TV sitcom mom, not like her own mother that looked like a soap opera actress. But the simple royal blue gown that Massie couldn't label pinch looked amazing on the woman and she figured Claire used her Sephora makeover on the woman.
"Massie, you always look amazing." No matter what Massie did, Judi was always in her corner with a forgiving nature. Meanwhile Kendra, Massie's mother wouldn't let her live down the littlest things like a bad joke or wearing Gucci to a Prada party. That's why at times, when things with she and Claire got bad, she constantly worried more about disappointing Claire's family more than her own.
"Thank you." Massie nodded slightly as she glossed her lips. They were silently re-applying before Massie parted her lips.
"Massie, I know it might not be my place, but your mothers been really worried about you." Judi started reluctantly. "And I know you aren't close to Claire anymore."
"My moms worried about me?" Massie scoffed, rolling her eyes. "She told you that when? Over brunch and spiked tea? Because she hasn't told me at all." Massie snapped slightly.
"I know it's always been difficult for you two to communicate." Judi said in a soothing tone. "If you need anyone else to talk to, my door is always open. Despite you and Claire."
"Where should I start?" Massie asked, turning to lean her body on the sink, looking at Mrs. Lyons. "My mother probably told you how excited she is that Derrick and I broke up." Massie had no one to talk to. As if she were an LBR, though she envied how Claire was able to talk to her mother about things.
"She didn't." Judi rubbed Massie's back. "I'm sorry to hear that. Todd said you two were ... goals."
"Well Kendra thought I was goals with this guy named James." Massie talked. It was way too easy for Massie to bottle up how she was feeling and what she was going through. She had to tell someone and even though apart of her felt like Judi wouldn't look at her the same way she had to get it all off of her chest. "He liked to ..." Massie's voice cracked. "Hit me, in the face. Push me down stairs and do cocaine." Massie blurted.
"Massie!" Judi gasped.
"I guess Claire didn't tell you," Massie said with a bitter taste in her mouth.
"Claire knew?"
"Claire even answered my hospital calls but thought Alicia was more important and then decided to turn on me instead of admitting that she turned into a shitty friend so that's what really ended my friendship with your daughter." Massie admitted.
"Your mother ..." Judi asked.
"Loved James and how rich his family was." Massie 'finished' Judi's sentance, shaking her head. "He's an heir to a company he knows nothing about and my mother really liked that for me. She loves to remind me of it." Massie said looking down at her shoes as the stones on her strap began to get blurry due to the fact that she was about to cry. "Derrick, who hosts charity fundraisers and wants to start a culinary empire wasn't goal oriented enough for my mother. He didn't want a suit and tie job so ... She'd be happy if she knew about the abortion I just had."
"Massie, you're going through all of this alone?" Judi wrapped her arms around the girl as she fought back tears. "If your mother knew any of this I'm sure she'd be here for you right now. You have to give her a chance to be there for you especially if you need her this bad."
"I gave Claire a chance." Massie said with a sniffle, looking at herself in the mirror, taking out her mini Laura Mercier powder blotting her under eye area.
Dylan was officially, secretly single. The red head knew that it was too good to be true but she didn't think it would end so soon, like this. She knew that she liked Layne but a part of her felt like it might not last because no love lasted with Dylan Marvil. As Dylan made her way to the V.I.P section - since it was almost twelve, she noticed Massie coming from the wash room and figured that she might as well clear the air since her mother had a master plan involving her childhood friends. Before Dylan could catch up with Massie, she stopped when she saw Massie walking right into Derrick and some blonde haired girl.
"Eh mah gawd! Massie Block!" The blonde yelped and Dylan almost shit herself watching from affar. Dylan had no idea what happened with Massie and Derrick aside from the entire school figuring out that their favorite couple was no longer together. She did know that Derrick didn't bank on his new arm candy being a Massie fan girl. Dylan felt like she was watching a trainwreck. She wanted to help, but she couldn't bring herself to intervene just yet. The blondes eyes glimmered as she grabbed Massie's wrist in excitement.
"You know eachother?" Derrick asked in a dry tone. It was the first time in a while he was having a conversation with Massie, and if it wasn't hard enough there was a girl he barely knew, that he wanted to have 'forgetting Massie Block' sex with at the end of the night all over her.
"No?" Massie said in a stank tone, giving the girl a once over. Her face was gorgeous but her style was horrible. To think Massie spent the entire night half jealous of the girl for having Derrick's attention when Derrick has had better. And even though Massie was trying to herself that she wasn't perfect, she was pretty fucking close.
"Yeah." The girl corrected, making the show for Dylan that much better. "We went to middle school together." She reminded even though Massie looked more confused. Octavian Country Day had a lot of girls there but Massie was sure she knew all of them.
"You went to OCD?"
"No, PMS!" The girl used a hyper tone and Massie froze. "We were best friends at Presbyterian. It's me, Ahnna." Ahnna fucking Pincher was Massie's alpha at PMS. And now she was wearing B-List designers hanging on Derrick's arms and implying that they were ever actually friends. That was nawt the case. Massie was merely surviving fashion genocide at PMS. "The rest of the girls are here and they'd be so excited to see you, we all read your blog all the time." Ahnna was actually fan girling over her? Massie shot Derrick a look and waved the girl off.
"I'm sorry I don't recall -"
"Massie!" Dylan called out to the girl. See, Dylan, dispite everything was actually a true friend to Massie Block. And instead of wondering why Dylan needed to talk to her after months, Massie turned on her designer heels and looked at the girl. Things were complicated between Massie and Dylan but it wasn't at their own hands. Infact, Dylan was the only OG Pretty Committee member she didn't have an issue with. "I need you in my section." Dylan gasped. She was being more dramatic than she usually would be but she was saving her and Massie mentally thanked her. "It's almost midnight, you gotta be up there with me." Dylan smirked and Massie followed her que.
"Amy, we can totally catch up after the YSL drop." Massie bat her mink lashes and waved as Dylan linked their arms together as they walked towards Dylan's section. After they were far enough away from Derrick and Ahnna, the two girls grew quiet and awkward. Dylan didn't know how to talk to Massie after basically years especially to expect her to faux a friendship for Dylan's cameras - which is why she'd just call it a favor.
"Have you been crying, Mass?" Dylan asked honestly and bluntly. She didn't care how long it had been, Massie was one of her oldest friends and she knew how hard it must've been for her to see her fresh-ex with a fake ass Skye Hamilton.
"Hell no." Massie shook her head. She didn't know where Dylan got off after so long but she actually appreciated it. "Well ... thanks D." Massie cracked a smile as she went to turn and walk away until she realized Dylan didn't let her go.
"No girl." Dylan said as if it were obvious that she wasn't going anywhere. "I really do want you in my section, plus you can't get caught by them at 12 not being in my section." Dylan explained which was true. She could catch up with Dylan or catch up with Ahnna and Derrick.
"Thanks." Massie repeated honestly since she truly appreciated not ending her year like a loser. As the two girls made their way to Dylan's section, they noticed a commotion with a group of girls and Dylan's security guard.
"Dylan, there she is!" She saw Claire jumping up and down and as she got a better look at the girls, she saw Olivia, Alicia, and Kristen. Dylan's silk Prada robe fell daintily off of her shoulders as she and Massie walked through the group of girls and to the V.I.P. She than turned to Sergio and smirked slightly. "Come awn, these are my girls, ofcourse they're allowed in my sections, you did check their names right?" Dylan asked as she watched the male. She knew Merri-Lee put the girls on her list even if they didn't. She pointed at Claire and smirked. "Tell him your name sweetheart." Dylan bat her green eyes.
"Claire Lyons."
"She's on," Sergio then gestured for Claire to join Massie and Dylan.
"Now you,"
"Alicia Rivera." Alicia spoke.
"I got Rivers." Sergio looked at Dylan.
"Typo." Dylan smirked and Massie let out a laugh when Alicia rolled her eyes to join them.
"Bitch." Alicia mumbled with a smirk.
"And then there's Kristen Gregory." Dylan said simply watching as Kristen lifted her Nicholas Kirkwood silver sandals to climb the triple staircase before she decided to continue. "That's the pretty blonde with the flame shades." Dylan cut her eye at the 'real' Kristen as she gestured for Olivia Ryan to join the girls in the V.I.P as Kristen's jaw dropped. "Sorry hun, I guess you weren't on the list." Dylan winked at her former friend as the other girls started to get comfortable on the royal blue cushioned seats.
"Alicia!" Kristen gasped at the girl. Sure, she shouldn't have expected much out of coming to Dylan's party. Kristen knew she crossed a line but it was a new year, she thought she was worthy of being heard out - they let Alicia in after all. "You're gonna stay?"
"Ah-viously." Alicia smirked. Sure, the brunette had her own betrayals to answer for and this meant she was being given a chance so if it meant that she had to leave Kristen for the other girls than oh-well.
Dylan let out a slight smirk when she saw the look on Kristen's face when she finally got the girls all together, only - Kristen was completely excluded. It was just in time for Kemp Hurley, the ex that Kristen has been subtweeting, to snake his arms around Dylan's small waist. No one around them knew that she and Kemp were for faux show but at this moment it didn't matter. Just like it didn't matter that she had just gotten dumped by her first girlfriend. Massie, Alicia and Claire were all about to ring in the new year with her. She managed to make her mother proud and her sisters jealous at the same time and then there's Kemp. Who was the closest thing she knew to real love, even though she was faking it. He knew things about her that the girls didn't know. Thoughts she never shared outside of their conversations and she knew the depth in Kemp Hurley beneath the 'playboy' persona. Dylan's eyes glimmered as the crowds attention went towards this years swarovski studded YSL bag. It was navy and silver, at Dylan's request and now, at the beginning of 2019, she was already getting everything she didn't know she wanted.
Let me know who you wanna see more of, or what story-lines you wanna see more explored I am open to a lot but I constantly draw blanks which is why I take so long to update this story.

'Cam and Claire should get back together and Massie and Claire should becone friends again it wasnt like Massie was always a saint to claire'
A: All the answers about what happened with Claire and Massie and why Massie is reluctant to become friends with Claire will be revealed soon. Keep in mind, the things Massie did to Claire (aside from the lunchroom incident) happened when they were 12/13, what Claire did happened only a year ago.
Q: Reader
'This was a good chapter, kinda short but I get it since writers block is a real thing and it sucks ass. Lol. I honestly think Claire has more potential, I wish she'd stand up to Massie like she did in the books instead of just letting Massie walk all over her without any consequences. Maybe you could even bring James or Dempsey into the story since James' character is an open book and Dempsey was mentioned a lot in the later books but hasn't actually be seen in SOTU unless I'm missing something. Keep it up.'
A: The reason Claire hasn't 'stood up' to Massie is her guilt about what happened with them. She agrees with Massie's anger towards her. I tried to convey that there was a point in time where Claire and Massie had a personality swap - more apparent in earlier chapters. She definitely has potential and it will be seen soon. Dempsey has only been referenced mostly in early chapters, as being Kristen's long term BF. She cheated on him with Kemp for a nice chunk of their relationship and ended up losing her V to Kemp even though everyone on the outside (including Dempsey) thought it was him. She texted him and broke up with him. As for James ... we'll see. 😉

'This is so so so good, I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens! Part of me doesn't want Massie to keep the baby, but I know she'd find a way to stay on top if she does. Plus I really like the little details about her being much more chill now, and I hope she reconciles with Olivia!'
A: Hope you liked this chapter 😘

'i really want alicia and josh to get back together. i feel like they had their time apart to heal and grow as people. cam and alicia and josh and claire just feels cringey'
A: TBH I semi-agree. But it's because those couples have been together 5ever. Most people don't wanna let them go. Not exactly how they'd all get through what happened but I have a few showdowns left in me.

'I think your a talented write honestly, but I couldn't finish the chapter. The scene with Massie and Claire got really under my skin. When does Claire stand up to Massie. When does she stop letting Massie walk all over her. You constantly right Massie is better she's different. She's not she's still the same bitch and worst might I add. It's not that she's mean, but the people she's telling off she knows they won't do shit. Because even if Claire plays the victim Massie could either shit or get off the pot. Either she forgives Claire or she doesn't . They don't have to be friends if she forgives her, and they don't have to be enemies if she doesn't forgive her. If Massie has truly matured she'd understand that there are something's you don't waste your breath on. And there's certain people even if your in the right what she's doing is wrong. It shows there's a bias by how many outsiders blow smoke up Massies ass. This isn't to tear down your writing or anything I loved the story. But I read 28 chapters that basically had the same themes and I'm like when's there going to be a change. I think you should take a look at each character and really gut their characteristics. Cause someone needs to stand up to Massie.'
A: They'll have their showdown that clears all of this up. That honest conversation where there's no choice but to be honest instead of beating around what happened and why they are in the spot they're in. It's unclear if Massie truly matured. She stepped away from a toxic environment (her social status) and learned a few things and now she's back and into her old ways. It's pretty natural just like it's natural for the people who are apart of their lifestyle to blow smoke up Massie! It's how they are. It's how things go with them even though it isn't always right. No ones perfect even if they think they are but everyone has their reasons why they don't stand up to Massie as well as their own agendas.

'Honestly just maci and derek lol idk I hope she miscarries or something so she doesn't have to abort it or have it. I love their dynamic. I want to see maci confront Skye on the matter. Also it would be cool is James randomly showed up so derek could be haunted for once. I want maci and Claire to be friends again. And Kristen to be nice again and be with kemp.'
A: In this situation (Massie & Derrick/ a teen pregnancy) no matter which way it goes, things will never be the same. Skye and James will have their day as well as Massie/Claire and Kristen/Kemp.

'claire and josh! love to see more of them'
A: You will!

'I just love Massie and Derrick together! It might be cliche, but I don't see them with anyone else. I also think Josh and Claire are really sweet together.'
A: Very interesting !
