Final Chapter: The Perfect Family
Bavaria winced at the soreness of his ankle. He possibly broke it from the feel of it. He had been daydreaming during his jog and fell down a steep slope. Now his ankle was shooting with pain and swelling like a balloon.
"Oh well it'll heal in a few days no need to make a big deal out of it," he sighed as he made his way home.
As soon as he got home, he went straight to go shower. After doing so when he was making his way to his room, he was pushed to the side playfully making him flinch.
"Move I have to pee," Germany cried then frowned. "You ok? I didn't shove you that hard."
"I'm sore from training is all your big brat," Bavaria smiled fondly and gave him a shove. "Go pee and stop announcing it."
"Then stop getting in my way," he teased walking away from him.
"Never! It bugs you so I like it," he teased back earning Germany sticking his tongue out at him before shutting himself in the bathroom.
Bavaria rolled his eyes amused. Germany was too hyper and playful for his own good. He was like a human wrecking ball. The definition of In my defense I was left unsupervised. Bavaria loved every minute of it though despite how he picked on his baby brother. When he got to his room Prussia was setting up a prank to dump paint on him. Bavaria shoved him into his trip wire when he got done setting up the can of paint. Paint splattered all over Prussia who screeched and whirled around to face him. Bavaria gave him a smug look. Prussia scowled and punched him in the chest making him laugh as he shoved him out of his way so he could go shower.
"I'll get you back," Prussia called over his shoulder.
"We'll see," Bavaria smiled keeping his mask up so Prussia couldn't see the pain he was in.
He was probably the one Germany got his habit of hiding injuries and keeping a mask on from. Bavaria was too stubborn to admit when he wasn't ok and Germany was the same way. Which was why he never hounded Germany too much when he hid things because he knew how he felt. He didn't want to be a bother to anyone or seem weak. Bavaria took some Tylenol and laid in bed hoping the pain would ease up soon.
It didn't go in his favor since it seemed to hurt just the same by the time dinner rolled around and he was forced to keep his mask up at the table as everyone ate and chattered.
"Alright so then it's settled. We'll watch Deadpool 2 after we eat," Saxony's voice rang out bringing him to the present.
"I heard it was pretty sad at some moments. Bet Baby Germ Germ will cry," Prussia teased.
"Will not," Germany protested immediately.
"We'll see," Prussia grinned as the other two snickered at his teasing.
After they ate it was time for the movie. Bavaria was highly amused when yes Germany did indeed cry within the first fifteen minutes of the movie.
"Stop smirking! It's sad," he demanded punching his arm.
"Are you're just a crybaby," Bavaria teased.
Germany launched them both off the couch immediately. Bavaria cackled trying to fend off his attack. Saxony and Hesse laughed at the pair. Prussia decided to join in the battle and help Germany.
"Awwww! Double teaming? Because you know just one of you can't take me alone? How cute," he teased.
"I could beat you easy," Germany cried smacking his face making him laugh again.
'You're digging your own grave here Bavaria," Prussia smirked shifting to get a better position to pin him down.
Bavaria let out a scream when Prussia's foot collided with his ankle. Both little brothers froze immediately. Hesse was on him like a cat trying to figure out what caused him that much pain. Germany and Prussia scrambled off him quickly as possible.
"Just kidding," Bavaria tried to tease.
"Bullshit," Hesse scowled then pointed at his ankle. "When did that happen," he demanded making the others look.
"This morning but it's getting better," he shrugged.
"You mean worse," Saxony cut in.
"It looks pretty bad," Germany added.
"It's fine. Just a sprain," he dismissed.
"We know what a broken ankle looks like Bavaria," Prussia scowled.
"Stop trying to act tough. We know it hurts," Saxony added.
"It'll be healed in a few days. What's the big deal," he groaned.
"You don't know that. It's never a guarantee," Germany said softly.
"You would know Mr. Accident prone," he teased.
"Stop turning it into a joke. Take your injury seriously," Hesse scowled.
"I'm taking it seriously. I'm just not over reacting like you four."
"You're making it out like it's not a big deal. It is," Prussia scolded.
"Why," he snorted.
"Because you're hurt! You're supposed to tell us when you're hurt! Even if you don't care we do! When someone is hurt, we take care of them! That is what family does! No one is more or less important than anyone. Even if you're an ass you're still important and it matters when you're hurt," Germany ranted.
"Alright alright put the puppy eyes away I'm sorry for not mentioning it. I didn't think it was a big deal. I'll even go get it looked at. So, stop looking like a kicked puppy," Bavaria gave in to his sad puppy eyes. "I swear you all are so overprotective. Why does it matter if I'm hurt or not," he rolled his eyes.
"Because you're family," Saxony scowled.
"Because we care about you," Hesse added.
"Because we love you," Prussia scolded.
"Awww how sweet you all are at the moment. I might tear up," he teased.
"Stop making jokes stupid," Germany cried. "Don't make jokes like you aren't important enough to care about. Because you are important enough. We love you. Stop acting like you don't matter," he said tearing up.
"Come here," he said softening immediately and opening his arms. "I'm sorry," he cooed when he sat by him and snuggled into him. "I know you all love me. I'll do better about mentioning when I'm hurt."
"Good. Everyone needs to keep this conversation in mind because this goes for everyone. Don't act like you're not important enough to be cared about. Everyone in this family is loved and cared about dearly. So when there is a problem let someone know. Don't just hurt in silence," Hesse lectured.
"We're family. Closer than any family I know. So no more secrets from anyone," Saxony added.
"We are pretty close, aren't we? Dysfunctional but one of the best families I know. I wouldn't trade it for the world," Prussia hummed.
"Closest and most loving family I know that's for sure," Bavaria smiled.
"Because we're the best," Germany decided.
"Damn straight," the other four chorused.
"Now let's go get that ankle looked at," Saxony said scooping Bavaria up.
"Then get ice-cream after," Germany demanded.
"Ice-cream," Hesse asked amused.
"Ice-cream makes everything better," Prussia teased.
"Actually, chocolate cake does. But ice-cream is Bavaria's favorite so I'll let it go just this once," Germany corrected making them all laugh.
"Don't ever change Germany," Bavaria said fondly as he shook his head in amusement at his chocolate cake obsessed little brother.
"Only if you don't either," Germany challenged.
"Deal," he grinned.
Soon enough he had a caste on his ankle and they were off to get ice-cream. Because that's just what they do. Take care of each other and spoil each other like the perfect family they are.
Thank you so much for everyone's support on this story! You don't know how much all you readers mean to me! I especially appreciate how patient you are with me and how kind you all are! I'm really glad you all enjoyed the story! I had so much fun writing it! It's a bitter sweet feeling with it ending because this was my second story I wrote on this site and I've been adding to if for so long it doesn't feel real that I'm done with it. Make me a little sad because of the memories of writing it but also very happy. I'm proud of my story and I can't wait to add to the others. It did have to come to an end so I could expand my writing but it will always be one of my favorite stories I have written just because of how much time and effort went into it and how I spent three years writing it. It's hard to believe I started it in 2016. It doesn't feel like it's been that long. Time flies when you're busy, I guess. Again, thank you for all the support you gave this story to all my readers! I couldn't have done this without your support and helpful ideas to keep the story flowing! It wasn't just a me effort my readers put effort into it too. Just by reading it you helped the story continue. By leaving sweet comments you kept it going. By offering your ideas on a chapter that I would have never thought of expanded my imagination and gave me the ability to keep the story interesting. So, I really am thankful for all the support you gave me. Thank you! I love you guys! This story may be ending but it's giving my other stories the chance to thrive due to more time to work on them! So, watch out for them! I'll be updating them soon as well! I just really wanted to focus on this story and give it's last few chapters the focus they deserved.
This final chapter was inspired by this review!
Could you possibly make a chapter where Bavaria get's hurt but doesn't tell his brothers (much in the way Germany always does), and while they're 'roughhousing' one of them accidentally makes Bavaria's injury worse? Idk, I really want more brotherly fluff with Bavaria.
Thank you so much for your request! I hope you liked it! It gave me the perfect idea on how I wanted the story to end! Fluff fluff all around for the perfect family!
