Just some good ol' Birdflash to make up for my year and one day absence. Enjoy!

Missions were tiring, that much Robin was sure of. Normally after a mission Batman would make him do more detective work, which was a tiring act in itself. Not that Robin minded, he liked detective work, but he could use a small break every once in a while. Not that he would admit that to anyone, of course.
So, when Batman told him he could go relax for a while after their most recent mission, Robin was taken aback. Who are you and what have you done with Batman. Robin thought, bemused. However, he decided to not push his luck and simply nodded. When Batman went down to the Batcave, Robin took out his phone and looked at his contacts trying to find a specific... someone.
Bats
No.
Alfred
No.
Roy
No.
Wallman
There we go.
He clicked dial and waited. Less than a second later, a cheery voice answered,"Hey Robin! What's up? I thought you were on a mission with Bats."
Robin smiled and closed his eyes. It had been a while since he had last spoken to Wally. "We just got back. Do you think I could come over?" Robin inquired, looking at his watch.
"Totally! I'm at Uncle Barry's right now, though, but he and Iris are out of town for the weekend with my parents, so they just let me stay here, with the condition that I didn't destroy Barry's lab trying to do some experiment. I forgot where they were going..." Wally trailed off, and Robin could tell without even being there that his face was scrunched up in thought.
"I'll be there in a couple minutes." Robin laughed. "See you soon."
"See 'ya!" Wally exclaimed, before he hung up.
Robin stares at his phone, smiling fondly before he turns it off and heads to the nearest Zeta tube. He hardly hears it announce his name before he is taken to Central City. As he steps out of the tube, he takes a moment to take in the fresh air of Central City. He's always liked coming here, if only for the fresh, clear air. Compared to Gotham, at least.
When he arrived at the Allen household, Wally was already waiting for him on the porch. He straightened once he saw Robin approaching, and smiled brightly. Robin smiled back softly, pushing his sunglasses up on his nose. As Robin climbed the steps, his grin only seems to brighten, if that was even possible. Faster than Robin can blink, Wally's arms are around him, pulling him into a tight embrace. Robin could faintly smell chemicals on his shirt, meaning he had been experimenting in his Uncle's lab. Again.
Robin stifled a laugh, and nuzzled his face on the side of Wally's neck. They stood like this for a while, in each others arms, one of the few places they truly felt safe. Finally they pulled back, and Robin felt his glasses lifted off his face. Robin looked Wally in the eyes, which were as green as the grass surrounding them, gleaming with happiness and hidden intelligence. His hands cup your cheeks and he gently sets his lips on Robin's. It's short and brief, but filled with all the things they don't need to say.
I love you. It says. I miss you.
And they understand.
