Clarke was grinning as she shook Alicia shoulder, calling her name softly.

"What?" Alicia demanded, finally giving up trying to ignore her.

"You were right." Clarke laughed, "Your mom is pissed about the three of us leaving the boat last night, I thought you might want to die standing on your feet when she comes in here."

Alicia rolled her eyes, nudging Clarke aside so she could stand up, "She'll see reason eventually, being safe on the boat is a fantastic plan until we all starve to death here."

"I'm not sure Madison sees it that way." Clarke remarked as she trailed after Alicia as she headed to the dining room.

A small smile played across her lips as she saw that Alicia had unconsciously buckled the sword sheath to her belt as she had quickly dressed.

The moment Alicia walked into the dining room she started regretting getting out of bed. Her mom basically had Nick pinned into the corner of the room and was yelling at him as everyone stood on watching.

"And you!" Madison shouted, rounding on Alicia, who stepped back and held her hands up defensively, "I thought you were more sensible, how could you go along with him. It's your new friends influence isn't it?" She demanded, "Well I want her off this boat at the earliest opportunity."

Alicia wasn't sure what exactly came over her, but suddenly she was squaring up to her mother, one hand resting on the hilt of the sword. "We were getting close to starving. You couldn't make the call, I did. But I won't stand here listening to you yell at me for making a decision that you were too scared to do."

In the brief moment between Madison being stunned and restarting her rampage, Alicia turned and stalked off onto the deck, trailed after by both Clarke and Nick, who had decided to make his escape once Alicia had successfully diverted their moms focus.

"I don't know how much longer I can deal with this Nick." Alicia murmured to him as soon as they were out of earshot.

She started pacing the deck impatiently as Clarke and Nick both stood back watching her, "She treats us like children Nick. We did what she couldn't do, and nothing went wrong, and yet she still acts like the expert at surviving an apocalypse."

"You're far more deserving of that title." Clarke murmured under her breath, shrugging off their curious glances when they didn't quite catch what she said.

"Well what do we do Alicia?" Nick asked his sister, keeping one eye on her right hand that kept twitching towards the sword that she was wearing.

Alicia looked at him, her eyes narrowed as she considered the options they had in front of them. "We need to leave."

Nick's eyes snapped up to hers in surprise, "Alicia, I'm not sure that that's the best idea, once we leave we have no way of finding them again."

"Honestly Nick, I'm not sure if I want to."

"Think about what you're saying." Clarke hissed in warning, "This is a decision you can't take back. Sleep on it ok? If you really want to do this still tomorrow then I'll back you. But don't act rashly because you're angry."

Reluctantly, Alicia nodded, "Fine, but I don't think I'll change my mind."

Then she span around and disappeared back inside, presumable to find some space to ignore them all.

"She's not thinking clearly." Nick remarked to Clarke, "Once she calms down then she'll realize that we're not quite ready to be completely alone yet."

"I hope so, I really do."
