So, we got a new laptop! Anyone who is reading "It's Complicated" I was writing that on my work computer, thank whatever higher power is out there that no one ever bothered to open my email and check my draft folder. Everything is being moved over now and I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I'm working from home and please bear with me as I juggle my work life, home life, and my 83-year-old Nana all at once.

Now, generally I hate it when I have to scroll through responses to comment but I figured I owe it to y'all who have stuck around and were kind enough to not call me out on being a grouchy cow with that A/N Chapter.

To QueenStorie: I would love to find my box of flash drives, but I have the sinking suspicion they are in the storage unite I have not visited in two years but keep making payments on /

To LeahMfkn'Clearwater: Thanks for being so understanding and sticking with this one despite everything. I have new chapter notes and everything ready to go, I just need to get it all out of my head and onto the computer LOL.

TL/DR: Thank you to those who have been understanding and stuck around. I got a new laptop and we are stating getting into some new family members for Naruto.

Suffice it to say the Gate Guards of Konoha were not having a fun time of things. Kotetsu was trying not have a fit at the sight of the... shark man? Yeah, shark man, let's go with that! Kotetsu was trying to not have a melt down over the shark man that was standing at the gate claiming to be an Uzumaki and Izumo was just trying to take it all as it came. First the Demon Brothers, then Zabuza and his little shadow Haku now this... guy?

With a forced smile Izumo signaled to the Anbu that were stationed around the gate for this specific reason and said, "Please don't struggle, we have to get you cleared and run DNA tests and everything... just don't fight back and eventually you'll get to your family eventually.

Understanding what this implied Kisame just nodded and allowed the Anbu to take him into custody. He could hear the one guard talking to his comrade, trying to calm him down and couldn't help but asking the Anbu on his right, "So when are they supposed to be getting married?" He had said it just loud enough that the two at the gate heard him and began to freak out as the Anbu started to laugh.

"I can already see a family resemblance to the brat. As for those two, who knows," said the Anbu to his left.

"Huh, well, I kind of want an invitation when they eventually get on with it," Kisame said.

"You and half the shinobi force," replied the same Anbu.

The rest of the walk to TI was done in silence and on arrival Kisame was advised that he would be there for a month for observation, his clan head would be advised and a medic would be by sometime between his interrogations to gather a blood sample for testing. "What kind of test, besides the obvious?" He asked the administrator who was processing him and taking all his worldly possessions that he had brought with him.

"Oh, you know, DNA tests and health stuff," The brunet woman said as she boxed all his stuff and applied a locking seal to the box. Guess that means she wasn't just some civvie that was playing at being a ninja... maybe, it was too soon to say anything about that.

Trying again Kisame asked, "Do you know about how long I'll be here?"

The mousy little administrator shrugged. "That depends, but I wouldn't worry too much. We will alert the Uzumaki Clan Head that you are here and seeking asylum. If you know anyone in the village who could vouch for you that may help but who knows? It might just make things take longer!"

Kisame had to take a moment to try and get his head around that... and ultimately, he determined that Konoha nin, no matter what rank, were good at avoiding the question and making things more difficult. He wondered if his new Clan head was this bad as he was walked to a cell and locked in.

Naruto looked over the file that Hokage-jiji had given her on her newest clansman, Kisame Hoshigaki. "I... Do I want to know how the genetics worked on this? Or should I just chalk it up to Uzumaki being weird?" She asked

"I personally would not ask, Naruto-Chan," The old man responded as he looked back at the mountain of paperwork that was sitting on his desk. Naruto winced at the sheer amount that was there and was immensely grateful that she had the ability to spam Shadow Clones like they were candy at a festival.

"Alrighty then old man, I'll leave you to your hell," The teen said and made her way out of the door, listening to the thump of the old man's head on his desk as she left. She felt absolutely no sympathy as she was fully capable of getting all her work done without distractions. Thank you shadow clones!

As she made her way home, she debated on if she should tell her Zabuza and decided not to, let him have the fun of finding out that his former college was here and was a part of her family. She laughed just a bit and wondered what the shark man would have to say about the whole situation. She giggled maliciously and thought nothing of it as she finally reached home.

"What's so funny?" asked Gozu as he let her through the compound gate.

Naruto shook her head, "Nothing, nothing that won't come out in its own time. I just can't wait to see the reactions that everyone will have to it."

"Someone is getting pranked?" Meizu asked, leaning back against the gate.

Naruto shrugged. "Maybe, I wouldn't tell if that were true or not."

"You are cryptic as fuck, you know, that right?" the brothers asked in tandem.

Naruto just laughed and made her way up t her apartment that she was going to have to start sharing with Zabuza soon. And wasn't that awkward. She wouldn't have to do this if it hadn't been for Sasuke being a stupid moron and trying to force her into things she didn't want to be a part of. Speaking of the emo brat, she had some work to do before she could enact phase one of the many layered and long-lasting prank. It would be something that their great grand children would still be telling stories about!

"I'm better she pranks Zabuza," Gozu said.

"My next pay check says she pranks the Uchiha kid," his brother counter.

"Deal," the shook on it.

Kisame let his head bang against the back of his cell. He had forgotten that there was a clan in this village that could go into people's heads and getting the information that they wanted. Apparently, that was all they really needed to do; they knew about the offences against their village that he had committed in the past, but they were also aware of how Uzumaki functioned. He would be on probation for the next year and then he would be allowed to become a shinobi of the village of he so chose to. Honestly, he was considering just being a civilian at this point, Konoha shinobi were screwed in the head and yeah, he was crazy, but he wasn't on their level of madness. Maybe it was all the fresh air that the trees produced….

Shaking the thought out of his head Kisame fought off the want to bang his head on the wall, he would be stuck in here for another week as they got every last bit of information out of him, especially what he knew about Itachi and Akatsuki. A week more here meant more bad food though, and no he didn't mean rotten or anything, what he meant was that most of what he had been given to eat was fucking rations and no one liked to eat those damn it. Not unless they had no sense of taste that is, but he had only met one person like that before.

The sound of footsteps down the hall let him know that someone was on their way to his cell. When they stopped walking, he righted his head and looked out of the bars to meet with the blue eyes of the mind walker. "You ready for round two?" The blonde man asked.

"As I'll ever be," Kisame said as he stood himself up and waited for the guards to come in and cuff him.

A week, a crap ton of paperwork and some moved furniture later Naruto was standing outside the TI building with Zabuza and Haku, waiting for guards to bring out her newest clansman. She had kept her mouth shut on who it was, just letting everyone know that they had a new member of the family join them. "Are you planning on keeping us in suspense the whole time?" Zabuza asked, shoving his hands into the back pockets of his pants.

"You don't have to wait much longer," Naruto said as she tossed her hair over her shoulder. "I can feel them coming up from the underground."

"Hmph," was the only response her on paper husband gave her. Hmm, that sounded fun, she was going to call him Paper Husband now, whenever he annoyed her.

Before anything else could be said a voice that Zabuza was uncomfortably familiar with proclaimed from the front entrance, "Damn its fucking bright!"

Naruto smirked as the guard asked if being so foul mouthed was an Uzumaki thing. She laughed and looked to Zabuza who had turned very pale. "Oh, you're fucking kidding me," He whined.

He did not go unheard as the blue shark man turned to look them over. "You're not the clan head," Kisame said as he pulled his sword from his back and leveled it at Zabuza, his eyes narrow.

Naruto laughed and waved, "No, that would be me."

Kisame did not move beyond turning to nod respectfully. "Naruto Uzumaki, nice to finally meet you," He said.

With a sharp foxy grin (the guard none to quietly asked if animalistic traits were also an Uzumaki thing and promptly got one of Haku's senbon to knee) Naruto nodded. "Yup, my husband and I wanted to come and welcome you home!"

Kisame's eyes widened for a half moment before they narrowed again. "The kid with the needles?" He asked.

"Nope," Naruto said, playing ditzy blonde as she latched onto Zabuza's arm. "This guy!" Impossibly, zabuza paled further.

"You're a dead man," Kisame snarled.
