All the electronics in the dormitory suddenly down. The light turns green which makes all of the things looked creepier. Water changed its color to red blood. From the windows, I can see a creepy looking full moon on the green night sky.

…No way, I could ever forget this. This is the Dark Hour. A hidden hour between the last hour of the day and the earliest hour of the next day. During this period, all the humans turned into coffins except for Persona users and the ones with potential. In this period of time, Persona users granted increased physical capabilities. [1] Only in this Dark Hour, the creature called Shadows with several types of arcanas wondering around and attacking only the ones who were 'awake'.

But why it is happening again? Dark Hour should have vanished 16 years ago. Even though the shadows never disappeared from this world completely, nothing big happened after that incident. On top of that, this happens soon after I reunited with SEES. Is this just a mere coincidence?

"Fuuka! Can you report the current situation?"

Mitsuru-senpai attempt to understand the situation.

"R-Right!"

She shoved her Evoker on her head and pushed the trigger.

"Persona!"

Fuuka's Persona, Juno materialize in the surrounding.

We wait for a few minutes for Fuuka to scan the surroundings.

"…Various shadows detected in the city and… a massive sized shadow at 2 blocks from us."

"No way! A massive sized Shadow!?"

"Those shadows scattered throughout the city but somehow District 7 has the highest number of them. Weird…"

"Fuuka?"

Yukari looks at Fuuka.

"These shadows are kind of focused at two places?"

"Makoto-kun dormitory and… a Tokiwadai Middle School Dormitory."

"Ah."

"They are probably targeting Natsukawa Harumi and Kamijou Touma."

"If I remember, Kamijou Touma is your classmate, right? Makoto-san."

Usually, Tsuchimikado Maika is sitting on that cleaner robot. Then, what with the coffin that switching with her?

Wait. Replaced… Then! If this is Tsuchimikado's sister… Then, all the people turned into a coffin. What with this phenomenon? It is magic or maybe, esper power?

But I never heard this kind of esper power that can influence a large scale before. Magic, then? That is her specialty. Without her, I cannot be sure.

I looked at my right hand.

Can my right hand dispel the coffin? I reenter the room. I prepare myself before touching the coffin Index.

Then, a cracking-like sound heard. Huh… look like I'm worried about nothing.

My right head ended up on the top of Index's head.

"Hmm? Touma? What with you suddenly? Hmm… This is…"

I explained to Index the general situation.

"...People turned into coffins… A green full moon…"

"So, is this magic?"

"I don't know. Even after I analyzed all of 100,003 grimoires, I can't find a solution or magic similar to this. It might be magic ... or something else entirely."

"What do you mean by that?"

"The energy dispersed in the air is not the usual mana... It kind of similar but a little bit different. But there is something thing that I can say with confidence. It somehow similar to the energy used by Makoto's ability."

"Yuki? B-But he is an esper?"

"He is err... whatever-stone, right? The one that gains power from natural phenomenon."

"It is a Gemstone."

"The esper that created in this city used their research on the Gemstones to create the Gemstone's power artificially. Magic was the same. Magic is based on this Gemstone. Esper powers created from the result of brain manipulation. Magic constructed with a different approach, which is Idol Theory. So, Gemstones basically can fit any category."

"Hmm?"

I sense something moving. I looked at my right. A black creature is rapidly approaching Index.

"Index!"

I pushed her aside and swing my right hand forward toward the creature. The creature broke down and disappeared just like that.

"W-What is that? A monster?"

"My Imagine Breaker reacted to it. I bet it probably connected with this strange phenomenon."

"Touma! There are more of them approaching from the hallway."

"Alright, Index take cover behind me!"

I swing my right hand forward again to another approaching monster. Index frowned.

"Hmm? What wrong, Index?"

"It is weird… when they first came, they seem slowly move around. Then, just after they noticed us, they just approach us with high speed and attacking us. And yet they don't attack the coffins. The coffins are supposed to be the humans, right?"

"Yes, they probably are only attacking the one who is 'awake'…"

What if in someplace, there is someone who 'awake' like us but unable to protect themselves? That thought terrifies me. I try to push that thought in further at the back of my mind.

"Anyway, let leave this place… This place is full of coffins. It is hard to protect ourselves from those creatures in this place. Let go!"

I hold Index's hand.

"R-Right."

We go down to the ground floor by using the stairs. For some reason, the elevator cannot be used. Occasionally, some black creatures are attacking us on the way down. Luckily, I can defeat them with ease.

After a few minutes, we finally arrive. We quickly rush out of the building. I look at the surroundings.

"All the humans are turned into coffins, huh? Those black creatures are anywhere… I hope they don't attack us..."

Just after I said that all the creatures start approaching at a high pace like waiting for me to say that.

"…Touma."

"Argh! I know! It just my misfortune, right!? Such misfortune!"

"Just how we are going to get out from this…?"

Those creatures move closer and closer. I make my decision. I try to cover Index.

"Hnngh. T-Touma!?"

"I will protect you, Index. I won't let them attack you."

"B-But what about you, Touma?"

"Don't mind about me. ...They are coming."

Why did people turn into coffins? And why all electronic appliances can't be used? And why you guys are not affected by this phenomenon?"

"This phenomenon called Dark Hour."

Occasionally, there are a few numbers of people that instead unaffected by this phenomenon. Well, you guys are an exception though. And those Shadows will only attack the one who awoken…"

"And Yuki and you guys are those who are unaffected…"

"Yeah, that's right."

"B-But that's weird. I never experienced this phenomenon before."

I don't know if the past Kamijou Touma had experienced this or not, though.

"Well, of course. This phenomenon should have ended 16 years ago. For some reason, it triggered today. Right now, we are still investigating the reason behind this phenomenon reappearance."

"We are just a group of Persona users."

I check my smartphone. Hmm? It won't start. Why? Did I forget to charge it? I am sure it just fine when I was calling Hana earlier… Well, judging from the duration of the call, I can't sure about that. After all, I talked with Hana for two hours.

…What? It can't be helped! I had such fun talking with her. The one who talked within this city is only occasionally with Shirai-san and Misaka-senpai. Well, if it won't start then it's can be helped. Err… I'm sure that I have torchlight somewhere… I found it! And… Click! Nothing happens….

Whatever… I am sure at least someone will have one outside. I opened the door. Wah! The hallway is sure dark. Anyway, I looked up at the ceiling. Why the emergency lights don't light up? It not supposed broke yet because there barely has an opportunity to use it or it just a decoration? Is that representing its pride that we do not need to rely on this thing?

I walk ahead slowly while suppressing my body from trembling. Then, I saw 'something' moving on further ahead. I slowly turn around. I sense that 'something' is quickly approaching me. I run as fast as I can.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! W-W-W-WHAT IS THAT? G-G-G-GHOST!? D-D-DON'T COME CLOSER!"

At this moment, I only thought about my survival. I continue to run and run and try to go to lower floors by using the emergency staircase. Those creatures continue to pursue me. Somehow, my pursuers increase to 4. After a few minutes, I finally arrived at the basement floor. I take a moment to catch my breath.

A dark mist appears and engulfs those lesser Shadows. After confirming those Shadows' death, I dash toward that big Shadow.

That Shadow has the appearance of a woman with multiple large dark hands. Its Arcana are Magician and Priestess. It has both elements from previous Full Moon Boss of Magician Arcana and Priestess Arcana and stronger than both.

When I arrive exactly in front of that Shadow, I infuse my SP on the katana and use a skill.

"Agi!"

A fire appears from the katana and fused with it. I use the SP that I infused in the katana to launch Agi skill. The result is burning katana. For a limited time, every attack that I make with the katana will have a fire attribute.

I slash with the katana again and again. The Shadow is slowly pushed back a little because of my attack. Then, Shadow uses one of its skills. The skill that calls forth the ice maelstrom. I immediately change my Persona.

All the ice absorbs into my body instead of damaging me, it helps me to recover HP.

Yukari mutters from behind. She readies her bow and prepared three arrows.

Then, she launches her attack that infused with wind attribute. The Shadow loses its balance and collapse.

"Everyone, please!"

"Yeah!"

"Let's go!"

We prepare each of our respective weapons and attack simultaneously. For convenience's sake, let call this All-Out Attack from now on. This attack should deal great damage to the Shadow. Yet, just Shadow stood up again and attacked us with its multiple hands without any signs of it being affected with that earlier attack. We just remained that position and received that attack then a glass breaking sound could be heard. All of its attacks repelled toward itself and deals another greater damage.

"It is hard with only three of us," said Yukari.

"Yeah."

This doesn't mean that we are weak. For me, my level right now is lower than them, but I can use multiple Personas, so that is enough advantage. All the former SEES had fought Shadows by themselves in these 16 years. I don't know how high their level but it must be higher enough but there is a problem. We are as strong as a party. As a party, each party member has specialized roles. For example, Yukari mainly specialized in healing and support, Mitsuru-senpai specialized in skill damage and as a backup healer and so on. For me, I am a jack of all trades because of my ability to use multiple Personas.

The problem right now is that Shadow has resistant to ice. Because of that, Mitsuru-senpai could not act as a magic damage dealer and only could deal damage with a rapier. So, the only reliable damage dealers are only Yukari and me. Fortunately, the boss doesn't have any resistance to the wind but aside from that boss doesn't have any elemental weakness. This information is confirmed by Fuuka's analysis. Because of that, I can't exploit any Shadow weakness and also deal with any damage when I act like a tank.

It might be damaged by using Megidola repeatedly but it probably not the best idea. My SP reserve is quite low right now compared to my past self. So, I can't really use all my SP just like that. Because of that, I am not using the skills directly to save some SP. So, right now, we are stalling the battle as long as possible.

"But honestly, this weapon is amazing…"

I looked at the katana on my hands. This weapon is the reason we can still deal with sufficient damage even with these limitations.

I remember back the conversation when I received that box.

"This is a weapon?"

I said when I received a box from Aigis.

No matter from which angle I look on this box, is this just a box?

First, I must sacrifice one of my Persona to be infused with weapon material. For example, I spent many days with mixing Personas to create a Persona, yet, I just have to sacrifice it like that. Well, I can easily recall that Persona once it recorded at Persona Compendium at Velvet's Room, but it cost a huge amount of money… There is also the case that I forgot to register Persona at Persona Compendium that makes me laugh thinking that I have to spend time doing the same time again…

Second, weapon material is limited. We only can get those in Tartarus on special floors. There are also some compatibility problems. The thunder appeared and deals another considerable damage.

"Reporting! Natsukawa Harumi and Kamijou Touma emm… and a nun called Index confirmed saved. Their arrival at this place estimated to be two minutes left."

Ah, I forgot about Index. Of course, he used the Imagine Breaker to release her, huh…

"Is that so? Then, let hang on until they arrive."

We prepare ourselves to counter another upcoming attack from the Shadow.

Green hair, huh? Maybe she is the one who Junpei-san and Ken-san mentioned earlier.

"Fuuka, what about the latest status?"

Junpei asks Fuuka the latest update on the situation. We look at the sight of the fight that still happening right now.

I can see a familiar blue-haired boy is fighting some kind of black monster with two women.

"Y-Yuki-senpai…"

He is really fighting that monster. That Shadow probably the strongest than anything that I encountered earlier… but…

Fuuka starts to explain the situation.

"That Shadow attacks has ice element. Makoto-kun has served as tank almost all time leaving only Yukari-chan and Mitsuru-senpai to deal damage. Mitsuru-senpai also has ice element skills so, the actual damage dealt is lower. Yukari-chan has wind element, so her dealt damage is only neutral."

"So, the total damage is low, huh... Wait, that's mean…"

Junpei looks at Fuuka.

"Yeah, Junpei-kun, get ready to switch in after another group arrives! Ken-kun remains here and protects Natsukawa-san."

Lightning surrounds his Persona, Caesar. It concentrates the surrounding lightning to one point before releasing it to the Shadow. The Shadow is being pushed backward because of earlier attacks but quickly get up and resuming its attacks.

Junpei prepares his greatsword.

"Agi."

A burst of fire surrounds the blade before infusing into the sword.

Junpei runs with his greatsword and thrust it straight to the Shadow. From inside, he quickly slashes toward the right direction before distancing from the Shadow.

Akihiko-senpai raises his gauntlet.

"Zio."

With the electrical current surround his gauntlet, he quickly dashes towards Shadow and stops exactly in front of the Shadow. He clenches his right fist before starting to punch repeatedly on the Shadow. After dealing 10 hits, he stops before quickly evading its upcoming attack.

"That's close."

He once again summons his Persona.

"Persona!"

Caesar materializes again in the air. Then, Akihiko-senpai shouts the skill's name.

"Sonic Punch."

He quickly increases his distance from the Shadow.

My turn…

I change my Persona and push the trigger of the Evoker.

"Megidola!"

A small dark orb appears on my Persona hands. It shoots the orb straight towards the Shadow and landed perfectly. After a few seconds, a big explosion happens exactly on the spot when the orb landed earlier.

"It really inconvenient that we didn't have any weakness to exploit with this Shadows."

Junpei sighs.

"Void element mostly works but no way I can keep using that attack."

"I guess we have to steadily reduce its HP a little by little."

"That our only option, huh…"

"Fuuka! The Shadow's HP?"

Junpei cast Maragidyne. The balls of fire also appear. The Persona gathers all balls up over its head and shoots the balls toward Shadow like it is raining.

Yukari cast Magarudyne. For obvious reason, no balls of wind can be seen but the change of atmosphere can be sensed. The wind slowly formed a tornado and attack the Shadow.

[Fuuka: The Shadow lost 10% HP. Remaining 5%.]

"Okay, just one more, guys!"

"Yuki-kun, let's attack simultaneously again, this time with four of us."

"That means All-Out Attack, right? Haha. I'm excited!"

"There is still one of those, right? Give that to Makoto-kun. We are here at the very beginning, so our SP reserve is quite low, right now."

"He also can heal, so it more efficient to have more healer, right? I will heal my injuries first."

Of course, I never felt this level of pain before in my life. Or had this level of injuries inflicted on me… For some reason, my back doesn't have any injuries. That power again, probably… Is this Persona's skill or something? But I wish it also triggered on my front. It is totally random.

I look forward. Senpai looks at me worried. I try to stand up to assure him of my safety, but I noticed something critical. That Shadow is ready to attack Senpai and his party!

This is just a guess. I think Senpai used a skill that can reflect the damage inflicted literally like a mirror.

That is a really powerful skill but it must cost a lot of SP. So, if this situation continues like this, Senpai will use up all of his SP in a matter of minutes. When that happens, he longer has any means to defends. His SP already low, to begin with, because of the earlier fight.

He cannot resort to attacking. If he abandons defense, his remaining party members that still paralyzed will undefended against that Shadow attacks.

Kamijou-senpai still on the ground. He already tries to get up but he still far away from them.

What to do? How I can save them? What I can do?

I look at the thing beside me at the ground.

I pick up the silver thing with my hands. It is the Evoker that Kirijo-san gave to me earlier. If I use this, I can unlock my full potential as a Persona user.

I gulp at that idea.

I raise the Evoker and press the muzzle on my right temple. I place my finger on the trigger.

There were various reasons for my inactivity, but it has been a long time that those excuses probably won't work right now.

Okay, this chapter is so long. Probably, the longest chapter that I had written. I actually planned to finish the arc with this chapter, but it looks like I cannot do that yet. No matter how I do, I could not cut the huge amount of words.

Also sorry for poor action scenes. I probably had the trouble of writing these scenes for a long time.

I actually started to write this chapter 2 years ago and after several rewrites, recheck, rearrange and so on, I just finished it yesterday. (2/8/19) The starting part and ending part actually finished a long time ago. There are various parts that I had written first without caring about the orders.

To be honest, I probably the happiest person when I finished the chapter. Finally, I can get out of this curse. After reading the same chapter for a long time, I had gotten sick of it. Hahaha… I should improve my writing skills.

…Let's talk about the chapter.

The first time, I wrote this chapter, I don't give that much screen time at Touma and Harumi despite including them in the chapter. I have rewritten this to include Touma and Harumi's scenes into the story. Especially Harumi, this is chapter is supposed to be her awakening, so it will be weird that she isn't in the focus.

About Box. The box can turn into a weapon. I include this in the story to represent progression. I meant no way SEES stuck doing nothing in 16 years, right? And also, about the girl that makes a weapon… I probably won't introduce her to the story. To be honest, I don't want to create anymore character at least right now. It might change in the future but who knows?

About Yuki. The reason he is different from the game because he also 'progressed'. The original had lost parents at an early age and keep switching homes and schools. Because of that, he doesn't know of friendship and familial love. And he doesn't afraid of death.

This time, his family is still alive, he already experienced friendship in the previous life and do not have problems like in past life. So, in 16 years, he experienced growth… That's my excuse.

Anyway, I modeled him after Movie version, which means yes, Movie Yuki Makoto plus 16 years of different environment growth. I just used the name Arisato Minato. I don't familiar with the Manga version. About 'eat lots', I just inserted that for fun.

About Natsukawa Harumi. I modeled her based on the female protagonist. (only intended) I don't that much about a female protagonist. So, when the story gradually progressed, she became her own character. The only remaining is the fact she uses Naginata. I forgot to include about Naginata in her Between The Lines. So, is the female protagonist is going to appear in the story? According to my original plan, yes. How? It will depend on the element that I will introduce into the next chapter.

When I wrote the end part, I realized that it did not that long Yuki meets Natsukawa. So, I already know what to write next Between The Line chapter.

About Sisters Arc, I probably will not focus too much on it. I will limit Yuki's participation in this arc and mixed new original arc into this arc to keep him busy. I can't just ignore Sisters Arc as I did with Deep Blood Arc because this arc introduces many new characters that vital to the story like Accelerator and Sisters.

Anyway, I don't know when I will finish writing the next chapter. I just hope it will not take too much time… I hope we will meet again.
