Some time during their nap, their lips find each other.

They kiss softly, bodies moving instinctively closer.

In a dream-like state, they roll on the bed, kissing and feeling each other.

Clothes are quickly discarded.

Their kisses turn passionate and their hands become urgent.

He stares into her eyes as he enters her slowly.

Bonnie gasps as he buries himself to the hilt.

Klaus captures her mouth with a hungry kiss as he begins to move in and out of her.

Bonnie moans against his lips, enjoying the feel of him inside her. She wraps her arms around him, shivering as her breasts brush against his chest while she meets each of his thrusts.

The only sounds filling the room are their moans and grunts as they move together.

Klaus nips her neck, scratching the sensitive flesh before his mouth moves down to her chest.

Bite me, Bonnie thinks as he buries his head between her breasts and feasts on her hard nipples, he sucks hard, so much so that his fangs descend and press against her skin. "Yes," Bonnie cries out. Bite me, please. It's at the tip of her tongue to voice her desires out loud but Klaus slips up her body and claims her mouth once more. He sucks on her bottom lip and raises her arms above her head, pinning them with one hand.

Fire pools low in her stomach. She breaks free from his grip and lets her hands explore his back and sides; fingers grabbing his ass until she leaves red marks. She urges him to move faster and harder, a command that Klaus happily obliges to.

They reach their climax at the same time.

It's an earth-shattering experience for both of them.

Afterwards, Bonnie lays on his chest, basking in the afterglow of their love making.

Klaus caresses her back and shoulders and Bonnie smiles contently, feeling absolutely adored and safe.

The car ride back to the safe house is quiet.

Elijah keeps one hand on the steering wheel, lips tightly pressed together. He's deep in thought. The names on the lists jogged his memories; throughout the centuries Elijah has collected plenty of lores about demons. He's trying to recall all those stories as he drives.

Elena keeps reading through Sister Angelique (Diana Bennett's) writings. They succeeded in taking the box with her belongs with them. Sister Margaret made no complains as the two left the convent with Diana Bennett's things. She's hoping to find more information, particularly regarding the list of names Diana left behind, it was one of the most important things they were able to uncover. "There has to be a clue in here as to which of these names is the darkness," Elena comments softly.

Elijah doesn't reply.

"Elijah?" Elena turns to look at him. "Earth to Elijah," she says playfully.

"Forgive me," Elijah glances at her, a soft smile on his face. "I was just trying to recall some of the demon lore I know."

"It'll come to you when you least expect it," Elena tells him with a smile.

"Probably."

A loud thud hits the side of the car.

"What the hell?" Elena turns to Elijah. "What was that?"

"I'm not sure." Elijah keeps a hand on the steering wheel while glancing at the rearview mirror. There are no cars behind them, and no obstacles in their way either. There is not even the slightest hint of wind.

Another thud hits the side of the car, hard enough to push them to the side.

"Elijah!" Elena grabs his arm.

The car swirls from side to side.

"Fuck." Elijah does his best to try and control the car but he can't. He tries to push the breaks but it's useless, the car continues to swirl from one side to the other.

"Stop the car!" Elena screams.

"I can't!" Elijah no longer has control. Each time the car is pushed to the side, he tries desperately to push the car back on the road. It's the least he can do since he can't make the car stop. He has to rely on his vampiric strength to try and control the car.

A strange force lifts the car in the air.

Elena-still holding on to Elijah's arm-screams at the top of her lungs.

The car slams down hard before it proceeds to roll down a small hill.

It hits a tree, the branches impaling both vampires.

Once Bonnie and Klaus manage to get out of bed (after a nice hot shower and a light snack) they decide to search the city for any magic shops.

"How about this one?" Bonnie picks up a small journal from the shelf. This magic shop is not as big as the previous ones but Bonnie still has hope that they will find something useful.

Klaus takes it from her and flips the pages, reading at inhuman speed. "Useless." He throws it over his shoulder.

"This one," she grabs another item from the shelf and unrolls it. "It looks like a manuscript. What does it say?"

"Gibberish."

"Really?" Bonnie's face falls. "I thought it was in some ancient language or something." She rolls up the parchment and puts it back where she found it.

Klaus laughs. "It's just a bunch of letters and symbols arranged in a particular way to make it seem like it's some type of enchantment."

"This sucks," she mutters.

"I couldn't agree more." Klaus moves down the aisle, picking up different books and discarding them just as quickly. "Fucking hell," he growls. "These grimoires are all fake."

"You said the same thing about the grimoires we found at the other magic shops."

"I've lived long enough to know a real witch's grimoire from a fake one."

"So much for finding information about demons," Bonnie mutters. "At least we got plenty of candles and salt and even some sage."

"There is that I suppose." He picks up a small vile filled with a pinkish liquid. "Love potion," he read the label and grins playfully at her. "Want to try it?"

"Nah, I'll pass." She makes a face. "It's probably poison."

Klaus chuckles and opens the small vial.

"No, don't!" Bonnie warns.

Klaus brings it up to his nose. "Water with some food coloring." He throws it to the side and sighs. "This was a waste of time."

Bonnie steps closer and wraps her arms around him. "You look cute when you're grumpy."

"I'm not grumpy."

Bonnie gets on her tip toes and brushes her lips against him. She pulls back just as he tries to deepen the kiss. "You look a bit grumpy to me."

"I was hoping we would find real grimoires."

"Me too."

Klaus caresses her face with one hand while with the other, he holds her hip in a possessive grip. "We should have known it wasn't going to be that easy."

"I guess we'll just have to contact Loretta and hope Elijah and Elena can find some useful information on the demon in the real world." She stares into his eyes. "We're going to have to create our own spell in order to get in touch with her."

"With my knowledge of magic and your power, I'm sure we will manage," Klaus brushes his lips against her.

"We do make an awesome team, don't we?" Bonnie bumps her nose against his chin.

Klaus grins and pulls her into a heated kiss.

Elijah wakes up with a loud gasp, eyes wide as he takes inventory of his surroundings. He groans loudly, feeling an intense pain in his shoulder. Looking down he can see the tree branch piercing his right side, right beneath his shoulder. He hears a whimper next to him and turns to his side. "Elena…" he whispers hoarsely.

Elena's head is bent down, long dark hair covering her face. The branch struck her right in the stomach. She lets out another painful whimper.

Elijah shifts his body, raising a shaky left arm. He holds on to the branch, suppressing a yelp of pain and pulls hard. His superior strength allows him to rip the branch off him. He groans as he pulls it out completely. His long dark coat and suit are soaked with blood but he can feel his flesh repairing itself.

His head falls back and he takes unnecessary deep breaths.

He gets out and speeds towards the passenger side, ripping the door apart. "Elena…" he gently pulls her head back, a shadow crossing his face when he sees the blood on her nose and mouth.

Elena blinks groggily.

"You're going to be okay," Elijah promises as he traces her bruised cheek with infinite tenderness. While Elena is a vampire, her healing abilities don't work as fast as his, much less when there is a branch stuck in her stomach. He glances down at said branch before staring back into her pale face, she's barely conscious and he's not sure if she can understand what he's saying. "I'm going to pull the branch off you," he says in a soft voice. "It's going to hurt a lot but I promise, once I take it out, your healing abilities will kick in and you will be okay."

Elena moans, head falling to the side.

Elijah holds her shoulder with one hand while he grabs the branch with the other. He pulls the tree branch out of her in one swift move.

Elena cries out in pain, a river of blood coming out of her mouth and nearly choking her.

Elijah holds her down with one arm. "It's alright, darling. You're okay." He tries his best to soothe her.

Once she has calm down and her healing abilities have started working, he bites his wrist and places it over her lips; he wants to help her heal faster.

Elena's face shifts as she sucks the blood greedily.

Elijah closes his eyes and presses his lips together. He can't help but moan when Elena sinks her fangs into his wrist.

Later that day, after trying different version of the spell, Bonnie arranges seven white candles around a large circle of salt. She takes a deep breath before stepping inside and sitting on the floor. "I don't know how long it will take me to get to Loretta."

"You're going through time and space, it will sure take a while," Klaus comments.

"Which is why I'm going to need a donation from you." She wiggles her eyebrows and summons a small bowl from the kitchen with her magic.

"My blood?"

Bonnie nods. "We don't have a full moon or doppelganger blood to anchor the spell but we have something even better." She hands him a knife. "You're a vampire-werewolf hybrid whose mother was a witch. Your blood combined with mine will be the perfect trifecta of power. It will give the spell the necessary kick to work."

"Very well," Klaus ignores the knife and bites his hand. He crouches down in front of her.

Bonnie holds the bowl while Klaus squeezes his hand over it, blood pouring freely from the wound. "Your turn."

"Want to do the honors?" Bonnie offers her wrist to him.

Desire flashes across his eyes even if he tries to hide it, he is sorely tempted. "Don't play games with me," his voice is low and he licks his lips with anticipation.

"I'm not playing."

"Bonnie."

"You need to feed."

"Now is not the time-"

"It's a good time as any," she snaps.

Klaus glares at her. "I already told you, I can last months without feeding."

"This is different from last time," Bonnie tells him. "You're not hurt, you are not going to lose control if that is what you are worried about." She knows he wants to drink her blood. The times they have been intimate in particular have shown her just how much he desires it. Klaus is good at holding back though, even in their most passionate moments he has never given into his hunger.

Klaus looks away jaw clenching.

Bonnie touches his face, pulling his chin back so he can face her once more. "I trust you," her voice is sincere and her eyes plead with him to accept her offer. "I trust you with my body, I trust you with my life." After all they have been through, after all the times he has protected her and comforted her, how could she not trust him with her life essence? "I can use the knife to cut my wrist or you can bite me and drink some of my blood in the process. The choice is yours, Klaus."

He stares into her eyes for the longest time.

Bonnie is almost sure he is going to turn her down but to her surprise he grabs her arm. He's still staring into her eyes when his thumb caresses the skin of her wrist. Her pulse quickens in response. She's been bitten before and didn't enjoy it at all-except when he did it. That time he was burned and she fed him, there was some pain yes, but there had also been a heated pleasure that invaded her completely. The memory of that time surfaces and she closes her eyes, a wave of heat warming her all the way down to her toes.

Klaus brings her wrist to his lips.

Bonnie holds her breath in tense anticipation.

He licks her skin once, twice, letting his tongue prepare the area before he bites.

Bonnie suppresses a groan.

Klaus kisses the now tender spot and bites down gently.

Bonnie cries out as she feels his fangs pierce her skin.

There is no pain at all, only pleasure.

Klaus closes his eyes as well as he takes a mouthful of her blood. He shivers as the delicious elixir rushes down his throat.

Bonnie moans each time he sucks on her wrist and rubs her thighs together.

He pulls away suddenly.

Bonnie groans at the loss of his mouth. Her cheeks are flushed, her eyes are glassy, and her underwear is damp. She wishes he had taken more of her blood.

Klaus smirks, yellow eyes dark with lust. He guides her wrist towards the bowl, letting some of her blood fall down and mix with his.

There is a spark of power in the air.

Bonnie's heart pounds loudly.

Klaus brings her bloody wrist to his mouth and licks her clean, closing the wound.

The only evidence of what transpired between them are the two red dots on Bonnie's skin. She stares at the bite marks and feels pleased. He finally fed from her. Her wrist tingles as her magic heals the marks, leaving her skin as smooth and soft as a baby's. She shares a smile with Klaus whose cheeks have a hint of color on them for the first time in a very long time. "See that wasn't so hard," she teases him.

Klaus doesn't respond but his lips curl into a soft smile. He tips her chin up with his hand and gives her a sweet kiss on the lips. "Thank-you," he murmurs.

Bonnie smiles.

"Are you ready?" he stands up.

She nods.

Klaus steps away. "If at any point something doesn't feel right end the spell." He feels confident in their spell work but still, it's best not to take any chances.

"Okay." Bonnie places the bowl inside the circle of candles and begins chanting.

"What was that?" Elena asks once she is feeling better.

"I'm not sure." Elijah helps her to her feet.

Elena looks at their surroundings. The car is a total wreck, the papers she had been reading are discarded all over the accident scene. She waits for him to say more but when he doesn't, Elena uses her vampire speed and begins collecting the discarded documents. She's honestly grateful that she's a vampire because otherwise she would have died from the crash.

Elijah's eyes scan the woods. They ended at the bottom of a small hill and are currently surrounded by tall colorful trees. In the distance, he can hear cars passing by which means they are not too far from the road. He can also hear the rush of water from the opposite side, there must be a small creek nearby. It's the strange odor in the air that catches his full attention however.

Elena has collected most of the papers and put them back inside the box. "You think we'll be okay now or should I expect another attack?"

Elijah does not respond; he's still surveying the trees around them. He could swear that on the way to the convent the road didn't have these many trees and that peculiar odor continues to annoy him. "Do you smell that?"

"Smells like burning rubber," Elena looks at the car. She thinks it's pretty obvious where the smell is coming from. "The accident no doubt."

"I'm not talking about that smell," Elijah tells her. "There is another faint smell in the air, not from the car or nature-" he looks around once more. "-but something else…"

Elena sniffs the air trying to detect any scent out of the ordinary.

Elijah watches her.

"I don't smell anything weird."

"It's faint but it's still there," Elijah tells her. He looks at the trees once more. "We didn't pass these woods on the way to the convent."

Elena frowns and stares at the trees. Okay, she doesn't recall a big wooded area on their way to the convent either. "I thought you took a different road on our way back."

"I didn't."

"Shit." She's not liking this at all.

"We should get out of here." Elijah pulls his phone out of his pocket and tries to call for a tow truck. "No signal," he looks at her.

"Try mine," she hands him her phone. "Passcode is my birth year."

Elijah tries but there is no signal either. He hands Elena her phone and mutters a curse under his breath.

"We'll probably have reception once we get near the road," Elena says feeling optimistic. She tells herself that she needs to think positive. There is no reason to freak out, not yet.

"One can only hope." Elijah's senses are telling him that this is not right. The strange force that made them crash, the woods surrounding them, that odd smell, and the fact that their phones are not working. Something is at work, here. Something not in their favor. "Come on." He takes the box from her and leads the way. He'll make arrangements for the car later. "Stay close to me," he instructs her. "Pay close attention to everything, even the smallest of noises." Since they don't exactly know what they are dealing with, they need to be extra careful.

Elena nods, deciding to hold on to his arm as they slowly begin to walk up the hill. He's clearly unsettled and even though she doesn't smell anything weird or find the woods that strange, she trusts Elijah. She knows Elijah's senses are sharper than hers; if he feels something is wrong, then something is very wrong.

Safe house

"Elijah dear, when you see my name flashing across your phone screen you need to pick up," Rebekah mutters as she leaves another voicemail for her brother. "It's important, please call me back."

"Any luck?" Kol asks coming down the stairs.

"Nothing."

"You worry too much."

Rebekah glares at him. "They've been gone for hours." It's almost midnight and they haven't heard anything from Elijah and Elena and that troubles her deeply.

"Maybe Elijah finally decided to stop pinning and made a move on Elena."

"Don't be ridiculous."

"Come on, Becks! We both know he has a thing for her."

Yes, Rebekah is well aware of that but she doubts that Elijah would disappear with the doppelganger while they're supposed to be at the convent. "What if something happened to them?" Elijah always answers her calls, no matter how busy he is.

"Like what?"

"I don't know Kol, it's not like Elijah to disappear without a word. We need to talk to him about Loretta. She acted really strange."

"I think you're exaggerating."

"Perhaps," Rebekah replies. "But I don't want to take any chances." She looks up, brows furrowing. "What is she burning in there? It stinks."

Kol shrugs. "Probably doing a spell or something."

"Something is not right with her, Kol." While some people might not think her as clever as her brothers, Rebekah is pretty observant. What she witnessed from Loretta is troublesome and no one is going to change her mind about it. "Ever since she did the spell to communicate with Nik, she's been acting odd."

The lights inside the house turn off.

With eyes that can adjust easily in the sudden darkness, brother and sister look at each other.

"You think this is her doing?" Kol wonders sounding far more serious than before.

Foot steps are heard walking on the second floor.

The temperature inside the safe house drops considerably.

"Yes," Rebekah murmurs. She has no doubt that this is Loretta's doing. For what purpose, she's not entirely sure.

A horrid smell invades the entire first floor of the house.

Rebekah covers her mouth and nose with one hand while Kol makes a disgusted face.

Someone bangs on the door.

Both originals feel on edge at the sudden turn of events.

There is another bang, followed closely by what sounds like scratching.

The door is about to give in.

"Rebekah," Kol's vampire face surfaces as he stares at the front door. "Get behind me."

While Rebekah appreciates Kol's gesture, she chooses to stand next to him. Whatever is coming for them, they shall face it together.

Bonnie doesn't know how long it takes her but finally, her spirit separates from her physical body.

The circle of candles and salt will keep her body protected while her combined blood with Klaus's will serve as the anchor to the spell and guide her back once she is finished.

The hybrid watches over her, hand tightly clasps around the ascendant.

The candles flicker as Bonnie's spirits travels through time and space.

When her eyes snap open she's no longer in the living room of their apartment in Boston but inside a medium size room. She sees a queen size bed, a dresser, and a floor length mirror.

Did it work?

The room is cold.

Bonnie is surprised by that. She didn't think she could feel the change in temperature in her astral form.

The only source of light inside the room comes from a tall silver candelabra resting atop the dresser.

Dark shadows dance across the walls.

A feeling of dread invades the pit of her stomach. "Loretta?" she calls to the witch.

The room seems empty but there are two doors, one that probably leads to the hall, the other to the bathroom.

"Loretta, are you here? Can you hear me?" Bonnie moves closer to one of the doors and touches the doorknob but her hand goes through it. She giggles, feeling like a ghost. The amusing moment doesn't last long. She hasn't come here to play but to find Loretta. She stares at the doorknob and concentrates hard. It twists slowly. Bonnie grins as the door opens.

She can hear voices as she steps out of the room.

The hallway is dark and cold; much colder than inside the bedroom.

"Loretta?" Bonnie calls again but there is no response. When she peers down from the second-floor landing, all she sees is darkness. The feeling of dread intensifies. She's not sure what to do, should she head downstairs or go back inside the room she appeared in?

Once again, she can hear voices from the first floor. She doesn't understand what they are saying though.

When Bonnie tries to walk down the steps, she feels a strong pull. Her wrist throbs; an invisible link pulling her back. She should not venture too far from the room; it could put a strain on the spell and leave her trap in limbo. She retreats quickly.

The light from the candelabra guides her back inside the bedroom.

Bonnie gasps when she sees a young, dark-haired witch standing naked in front of the mirror. She wasn't there before.

There is something very familiar about the witch. She feels sure she has seen her before, but from where?

"Do you find me beautiful?" the smiling witch asks to the air. She moves her hand down the valley between her full breasts. "Touch me," she whispers, throwing her head back and closing her eyes.

Bonnie looks around the room, feeling confused by what she just walked into.

The shadows grow, covering the walls with darkness.

"What?" the witch says. "Who is here?" She turns around, eyes darting about the room.

Bonnie freezes.

"Where?" the witch asks her imaginary friend.

Bonnie's heart drops to her stomach. She doesn't dare to move or say a word.

"Are you sure?" the witch hisses. "I can't sense her." She puts on her robe and walks directly towards Bonnie who feels a knot rising in her throat. "Show yourself," the witch commands as she comes to stand inches away from Bonnie's face.

The eyes, the cheekbones, the shape of the nose, Bonnie has seen those features before. "Loretta!" She exclaims suddenly. In front of her stands a younger and much sensual version of Loretta. Bonnie's mouth actually drops open from the shock she feels. This is not what she expected when she set out to communicate with the other witch.

Loretta's eyes seem to glow.

Bonnie's spine tingles in warning.

Loretta reaches out and grabs Bonnie by the arms. "I can see you now," she hisses.

The room vibrates.

The candles blow off.

Bonnie screams as the entire house shakes. She tries to pull her arms away but Loretta's grip is painful. How is she able to touch me? She wonders as she desperate tries to break free. She's in her astral form, Loretta should not be able to touch her. What the hell?

"Oh yes, dearie. I can touch you." her long nails dig painfully into Bonnie's flesh, causing her to bleed.

Your blood is the key

Whispering voices

Haunting laughs

Bonnie screams again.

"You came to us," Loretta sounds delirious. "I didn't even have to lift a finger." She laughs then; a shrill sound that sets Bonnie's nerves on edge.

"Let me go!"

The shadows are swirling all around the room now, forming a dark net around the two witches.

"What is wrong with you?" Bonnie tries to pull away from Loretta but to her surprise the witch keeps holding her arms. This is definitely not the same Loretta she met before, something has changed and not just her physical appearance. "Get your hands off me!" Her magic pulses angrily. She finally pushes Loretta away from her.

"Bitch!" the witch screams when she sees her burned fingertips.

Bonnie, a male voice whispers then.

Bonnie's blood turns to ice. Moloch, she thinks fearfully. She can't see him but she knows he is there.

"My love, she's here." Loretta says. "I got her."

Bonnie realizes what is wrong then, Moloch is controlling Loretta.

You came to me, Bonnie.

"No, I didn't!" Bonnie yells as she stares at the growing shadows around them. "You fucking bastard. What have you done to her?"

Moloch laughs.

Loretta tries to grab Bonnie again but Bonnie is ready this time, with a flick of her wrist she sends the witch flying back until she hits the wall. "You can fight him Loretta, don't let him control you."

Loretta groans and stands up on shaky legs, a furious look on her face.

"Loretta, he's only using you," Bonnie tries to reason with her.

Don't listen to her my love, Moloch whispers seductively.

Loretta's eyes grow dark, she raises her left hand.

The shadows circling around Bonnie suddenly swarm towards her.

"Vi luminis!" Bonnie raises her hand and uses her magic to call upon a force of light.

The shadows hiss as a barrier forms around her. Each time they try to reach for Bonnie, the light protecting her, burns them.

With a growl of fury, Loretta opens both arms and begins chanting.

Bonnie chants as well, trying to end her own spell and return to Klaus.

The house shakes.

Every window shatters.

Light and dark clash together.

The explosion of power blinds both witches.

A wormhole opens up on the floor pulling everything inside.

Back in the apartment, when Bonnie's body begins convulsing and blood runs down her nose, Klaus knows something has gone horribly wrong with the spell.

He jumps inside the circle of candles. "Bonnie!" He holds her in his arms, trying desperately to wake her up. "Come sweetheart, end the spell."

The handles flicker constantly.

Bonnie continues to shake and more blood comes out of her nose.

"Come on," Klaus pleads but there is no response from her.

In a desperate move, Klaus places the ascendant over her chest, putting her right hand on top of it. "Help her." He places his hand on top of hers, hoping that the ascendant will understand.

A blast of white light repels him.

When Klaus opens his eyes, Bonnie and the ascendant are gone.
