Erza POV

It was a cold December night, and for some reason we decided it was the perfect night to go camping. By we I'm referring to Shou, Millianna, Jellal, Simon, and I. Master figured that we all needed some alone time together, so of course why not go camping! *That was sarcasm*

"Are you sure you know where you're going Jellal? It seems like we've been walking for hours." Simon complained. Simon is one of my very close friends, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he might have a little crush on me. "Calm down, I know exactly where I'm going," Jellal stated.

While Simon may be a very close friend, Jellal is my best friend. We do everything together and go everywhere with each other. Truth be told the longest we've ever been apart is a few hours. If we were in a crowd you could spot him easily. He has bright blue hair and a intricate red tattoo that covers a portion of the right side of his face.

2 hours later...

"Not that I'm doubting your skills, but I think we may be lost big brother." Millianna spoke up. I had to agree with Millianna, it was cold and dark outside. Millianna is like a the little sister I never had. She is very sweet and resembles a cat with her attachable ears, whiskers, and tail. Silently walking beside her was Shou.

Shou was the youngest of all of us. Even though none of us are biologically related he calls me sister and Jellal and Simon big brother.

Suddenly, a flash of lightning came and was followed by the sound of loud rolling thunder. Shou and Millianna clung onto me like their lives depended on it. "Jellal, I think we should make camp here." I said.

"But Scarlet, so much more adventure lies ahead of us, and we're almost there!" he whined. He's called me Scarlet so many times that sometimes I forget that my real name is Erza.

We stared blankly at each other until Jellal sighed and reluctantly agreed.

"Since we only have two tents Millianna and I will share while you three will share a tent." I declared. We started to walk off to our tent when I felt someone holding onto my wrist.

"Sister, please take me with you," Shou begged as tears pricked in his eyes. "Of course."

How could resist that face?

After we left, Jellal and Simon stood there looking at each other. Simon started walking towards the tent and Jellal muttered something like great under his breath.

Simon and Jellal laid in their sleeping bags to an awkward silence, well, until Simon broke it.

"So Jellal..." he started.

"So Simon..." Jellal countered.

"We need to talk." Jellal arched his blue eyebrows.

"It's about Erza."

"What's wrong with Scarlet?"

"Ugh, why do you call her Scarlet all the time?" Simon grumbled. "Well, it's the color of her hair." he replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Simon decided to not go further into the matter because there was only one important question at the moment.

"Do you like Erza?" He blurted out. Jellal felt his face burning as Simon asked the question. He was so happy it was very dark outside and Simon didn't know he was a horrible liar. "N-No, why do you ask?" he said as steadily as he could.

"Oh, my friend has a huge crush on her." Simon replied unconvincingly. Jellal knew that was a lie because Simon has no male friends besides Shou, and he only thought of her as a big sister. They sat in silence until Simon fell asleep. Then Jellal heard screaming.

I was fast asleep until I was awoken by screaming. I looked over and saw that it was Millianna.

She must be having a nightmare.

I was about to go comfort her, but then I heard footsteps approaching the tent. When I looked up I was greeted with a familiar pair of warm hazel eyes. At that moment my heart skipped a beat.

"What wrong?" he asked with a concerned voice.

"Millianna's having nightmares." I said as I walked over and started holding the girl. Jellal waked across the ground and sat down. After a few minutes I finally managed to rock her to sleep.

"What do you think she was dreaming about?" Jellal asked. I don't know why he asked when he already knew the answer.

"The tower," I said weakly.

We sat in silence but it was comfortable silence. He got up to leave but I grabbed his arm. "Please, stay with me." I said while looking at the ground. The blue haired boy simply replied,"Okay."

As we finished crawling into the sleeping bag, I felt his warm arms wrap around me. My face was the color of my hair. He then whispered in my ear:

"Goodnight Scarlet."

Age: 13

The first thing I saw when I woke up was Jellal trying to shove a strawberry cake in my face. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" he practically screamed at the top of his lungs. I swear the surprise almost gave me a heart attack. Behind him and on the sides of my bed were Cana, Millianna, Natsu, Simon, Shou, Gray, Lisanna, Elfman, andher.

"Happy Birthday!" Everyone said in unison instead of screaming like Jellal.

"Looks like your a teenager now red," Mirajane said as she took the cake out of Jellal's hand and smashed it in my face. Everyone looked at me in shock expecting me to challenge her, but I would not let that tramp ruin my birthday. So I simply I got up and went to the bathroom to wash my face. I put a little of the cake on my finger and tasted it. Then I discovered it was not strawberry cake, it was just flower and water with strawberry decorations on top. He is a sneaky one.

When I finished cleaning up I walked back outside. Surprisingly, everyone was still there except Mirajane and Elfman.

"I had a feeling something like this might happen," Jellal said as he pulled a real strawberry cake from beneath him. "So, I made two cakes!"

Every one cheered in excitement. Natsu looked like he was ready to dig in to the cake, but Lisanna stopped him and said, "Birthday girl first silly."

Jellal placed the cake in my lap and nodded for me to eat it. Simon handed me a fork and I sunk it into the cake. "The chef is yours, truly." The blue haired teen said pointing to himself with a big grin on his face. As I lifted the fork to my mouth it smelled like it would taste delicious.

I was dreadfully wrong.

Wow. I did not know cake could taste this horrible. Well, I don't wanna hurt his feelings.

So, being the great best friend I am, I reluctantly ate the whole slice of cake. Not wanting to eat to eat anymore I said, "I'm stuffed I'll finish this later."

"Maybe we should move outside guys, I'm feeling kinda stuffy." Millianna stated fanning herself with her hand. I wanted to get out of bed, but unfortunately both of my legs fell asleep. Also, to my luck, almost every one was outside. The last people making their way out the door were Jellal and Simon. I tried to whisper yell to Jellal, but apparently he didn't hear me.

"Simon, Simon," I whispered yelled to the tall teen. He turned around and started walking towards me. "My legs have fallen asleep and I can't walk. Could you carry me outside." I say as my face starts heating up. I swear I saw his eyes light up. After getting over the initial shock he agrees and starts to lift me up.

"What's taking Scarlet so long?" I hear my best friend ask Shou. "Over there," he replies pointing in our direction. I suddenly feel everyone's eyes looking towards us. I start heavily blushing, and I'm pretty sure Simon was doing the same thing to.

Gray walked over to Jellal and whispered something. To my surprise Jellal's face was the color of my hair. To make it worse when our eyes met for a split second, his face went a deeper shade of red.

"PRESENT TIME!" Millianna yelled out breaking the tension.

Five presents in total were brought up. A big blue wrapped present from Gray and Lisanna. A piece of paper from Natsu. A book and and 2 boxes from Millianna and Shou. A red rectangular gift from Simon. A small box from Jellal.

Gray and Lisanna started walking to bring me their present, but of course Natsu pushed them out of the way and put his on my lap. "Here Erza," the pink haired dragon slayer said with his signature grin on his face. I read the slip of paper and was surprised to see it written in neat cursive. "Good for one free fight. In parenthesis fight me Erza!" I read aloud. I looked up and saw Natsu was about to punch me. I just smiled as I caught his fist, twisted his arm, and kicked him across the field.

Seeing that Natsu was now out of the way Gray and Lisanna came back and handed me the huge box. I carefully unwrapped it and found a gigantic teddy bear in the box. "Thanks." I say confused as to why they would give me the teddy bear. "Now when you get scared at night, Jellal doesn't have to cuddle you to sleep." The white haired girl whispered in my ear. I immediately felt my face burning. 'This girl will be the death of me.' I thought as I scooped her and Gray into a hug.

Next was Simon. I opened the rectangular box and inside was a hair brush. "I thought you would like a hair brush, because whenever I'm in your room I notice that you don't have one." He said as he started to blush. The reason I don't have a hair brush is because my hair is always braided. My hair is always braided because loose hair gets in the way of missions. Regardless it was a thoughtful gift. Simon looked like he was expecting a hug. I internally shrug my shoulders.

What the heck.

I felt a familiar pair of eyes burning into the back of my head. Millianna and Shou pushed Jellal forward. "Sorry brother, we gotta save the best for last." the blonde haired boy said.

He gave me the small box that resembled a ring box. Inside was was a necklace. At first I thought it was a best friend necklace, but then I noticed my best friend wasn't wearing one. It was a simple necklace with a red s attached to the bottom. I assumed it stood for Scarlet. I tried to put it on myself, but ultimately failed. Jellal must have seen me struggling, because he took the necklace out of my hands and went to stand behind me. He pushed my hair out the way and clasped the necklace. His warm fingers sent tingles through my body.

"Thank you."

"No problem."

Finally, Millianna and Shou stepped forward. Millianna shoved the two boxes into my hands. Inside each box was a cat ear. They were fuzzy and purple. When I finished placing them in my hair she smiled in delight. Then, Shou, brought me the book. "It's a coupon book for unlimited free hugs and cuddles. We even wrote it ourselves." He stated proudly. I ripped one out and said, "What better time to use one then now." They both ran up to me and hugged my waist, I bent down and returned the love.

When they let go I saw a nearby tree stump and stood on top of it. "I just wanted to thank you all for your wonderful presents... well almost all of you." I said and every one started laughing. "No, but seriously guys. This has been the best birthday ever and I'm so glad I got to celebrate it with you all." I choked out on the verge of tears.

"GROUP HUG!" Shou yelled, but it turned into a dog pile with me on the bottom. Everyone joined in except Simon.

That's probably what broke me as I started laughing and crying at the same time. As everyone made their way back to the guild I went to my secret spot in the forest for some alone time. It was my secret spot because no one knew about it. Not even Jellal.

I started to recall today's events and started crying out of my one eye. This truly was the best birthday ever.

"Why are you crying?" A familiar voice asked.

"Jellal? What are you doing here?" I countered avoiding the question and quickly wiping my tears.

"I followed you." He said nonchalantly.

"I don't know why I'm crying. I'm just so happy." I said explaining the best I could.

"Was my cake really that bad?" He asked jokingly. I was shocked at how he just randomly changed the subject. Also how did he know I hated... no hate is not a strong enough word.

"What are you talking about? I loved your cake." I exclaimed lying through my teeth.

"No you didn't. Normally when you eat strawberry cake you get that glint in your eye. Plus, when you smiled at me it was forced. Your natural smile is more relaxed." Jellal explained. For the second time in 5 minutes I was shocked. "I'm on the verge of deciding if that was either really creepy or... no just really creepy." I told him. We burst out laughing.

"You know you never did give me a hug." Jellal said mischievously. I fake groaned and walked over towards Jellal and gave him a hug. As we were hugging I noticed Jellal was rocking me towards the lake. Before I could question him he threw me into the lake.

"That was for lying. See ya later Scarlet." he said as he started to run away.

"JELLAL!" I yelled after my best friend.

18 months later...

"WHERE IS MY NECKLACE!" I yelled. I woke up this morning only to find my necklace has been stolen. How do I know it was stolen? Well, I shower with it, sleep with it, and I fight with it. In other words I never take it off. Anyway, back to the present.

I was storming through the guild searching every nook and cranny. Asking every suspicious character. "Sister, maybe you should go check your room." Shou suggested in a somewhat scared tone. "When did you first notice it was missing ?" Millianna asked me.

"Um, about five days ago." I replied sheepishly.

"Five days ago?! Why didn't you say anything back then?!" Gray shouted.

"Because Jellal was here and I didn't want him to know I lost it." I replied whiningly.

"Or you just waited for him to leave so he wouldn't see the she demon side of you." The ice mage stated. Well, I guess both reasons factor. One more than the other.

I was finally about to calm down when I saw Natsu in the corner with something in his hands. The dragon slayer must of heard me because he started running for his life. "NATSU!" I yelled as I chased after the pink haired idiot. When I finally caught up to him I tackled him and snatched the necklace out of his hands.

"Erza, I can ex-" but before he finished his sentence I punched him in the gut knocking him out cold. I threw him over my shoulder and started walking towards the center of the guild. I gently set Natsu on a table and stood on top of a chair.

"Let this be a lesson to all of you who ever get the idea to do something this incredibly foolish. DON'T, touch my necklace unless you want to end up like him." I declared pointing towards Natsu. I hopped off the chair and left.

Mirajane who was watching the whole thing came out of the shadows. "Thank you Natsu, you've done well. Maybe I won't tell Lisanna, maybe I will." She said to herself smiling evilly.

Age: 15

It was finally that time of year. The S class promotion trials. Everyone in the guild was busy taking jobs trying to suck up to the master. No, that is not how you gain one's respect. I see Jellal sitting at a table so I walk over to him and sit down.

"Why aren't you going on a job?" I asked him.

"I don't see the point, I'm just going to treat today like it was any other day." he responded taking a drink of his water. We sat in silence, but it was a comfortable silence. We saw master come out of his office and walk onto the stage. "I guess we better go." I suggested.

Master tapped the microphone to check to see if it was working. After it seeing it successfully made a sound he started to speak into it. "As you all know this time of year is the S class promotion trials." He started. Everyone started cheering. "Now, I have thought long and hard about the participants who will be competing. So, what you've all been waiting for... Cana Alberona, Simon Mikazuchi, Laxus Dreyar, Erza Scarlet, Mirajane Strauss, Alzack Connell, Warren Rocko, and Evergreen!" The old man shouted so every one could hear him.

The guild erupted in cheers and whines. As soon as master called my name I grabbed Jellal and hugged him as tight as I could. He smiled at me and hugged back. Once everyone quieted down the master spoke again. "Remember you have one day to choose a partner and meet me on the boating dock." I already knew who my partner was going to be.

"You ready to do this Scarlet?" he asked me even though he already knew the answer.

"Yeah let's go kick some butt." I happily replied. After we partnered up Shou came running over here yelling my name. "Sister! Sister! Can I be your partner?" He nearly screamed.

"Sorry Shou, you're to young and Jellal is already my partner." I said bending down to his level. "Jellal this, Jellal that, geez why don't you go and marry him." he said annoyed.

My face was now heating up. It was a good thing my back was turned towards Jellal. "You know Simon still needs a partner." I told him. His face lit up happily as he ran towards him.

"What was that about?" Jellal asked me. "Oh, he wanted to be my partner, but I told him I already have one," I replied remembering the conversation. I hope I'm not blushing.

"It's okay Scarlet, I can go get Shou and ask Simon if I can be his partner." The blue haired teen said jokingly.

"No way! Your not getting rid of me that easily." I said and latched onto his arm. It felt muscular. "Oh, are you working out now Jellal." I said teasingly.

"Every now and then." He replied smoothly. "You trying to impress a special lady I don't know about." I said while smiling.

"Oh yeah. She's no one." He responded...dreamily? I nodded deciding not to press the matter any further.

I decided to change the topic. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Shoot."

"Why didn't Master pick you for the S class? I mean your young, strong, and intelligent. It just doesn't add up." I say.

Jellal sighed. "The reason I didn't get picked is, because I asked him not to pick me. You might be thinking Jellal you idiot this is a great opportunity. Well, I wanted to help my best friend instead of going against her. Besides, I can try again next year." He said looking into my eyes.

I was speechless. I can't believe he did something so sweet...and idiotic! How could he do something like that! Well, this is Jellal. I must of been spacing out to long because Jellal was waving his hand in front of my face.

"What are you thinking about in Erza land?" he asked. "Nothing."

"Let's leave it's getting late." I said while yawning. We both got up and headed toward my apartment. "See you tomorrow Scarlet." he said as he left. I sleepily murmured good bye. I walked into my room and laid on my bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was in dreamland.

The next morning...

Even though I slept great last night, I was very tired because Master told us to meet him at the docks at five in the morning. I looked around to see who was partnered with who. Simon and Shou, Mirajane and Elfman, Laxus and Freed, Evergreen and Bickslow, Warren and Macao, Alzack and Bisca, and Cana and Gray.

I straightened up as I finally saw the master walk up to the dock. Surprisingly, he says nothing and we all just stand in silence waiting for the boat to come. "Sit tight brats, it's going to be a long trip." He shouted.

When we got on the boat I sat on the bench next to Jellal. He seemed kind of distanced, so I scooted right next to him and rested my head on his shoulder. I fell asleep in a matter of seconds.

As I woke up I felt an arm wrapped around my shoulder and a head resting on top of mine. Jellal must have also fallen asleep as well. I glance up and take in his sleeping face.

He'so cute when he's sleeping.

"Erza don't think like that! He's your best friend for crying out loud!" I mentally scolded myself.

I kept staring at him until he suddenly woke up. His face turned a dark crimson and so did mine. I quickly looked away before I could embarrass myself any further. The boat came to a stop and master got up to explain the rules. "...And good luck to you all." he finishes cuing for us to leave.

Before I could react Jellal grabbed my hand and cast his meteor spell. We zoomed our way onto Tenrou Island and began the trials.

The next day

"I would like to announce our newest and youngest S class mage...Erza Scarlet!" Markarov yelled as he motioned for me to come on stage. I had mentally prepared a speech, but I immediately forgot it after I looked into the crowd. "I would just like to the master for choosing me even though I'm so young. It really is an honor to be up here and to be given the title of S class. But, I really wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my best friend Jellal Fernandes. He's always there and he is very loyal, so thank you. I would also like to thank Natsu Dragneel for his persistence to fight. Before I forget I would also like to thank all of the member of Fairy Tail. You guys are the best guild, and the best family I could ever ask for. We really are number one." I finished holding my finger up.

Almost everyone's finger shot up after I finished my speech. Master came back up with a medal a placed it over my head. "I now pronounce you, Erza Scarlet, a S class wizard." he announced loudly. The guild erupted in cheers and laughter.

"Now for the feast." The old man declared.

We partied and drank (non alcoholic beverages of course) all night long. I saw Shou and Millianna fast asleep on the floor so I decided to grab the some blankets and pillows. They looked so adorable sleeping on the floor. Moments like these made me wish we were a real family, but I wouldn't trade moments like these for the world.

"Penny for your thoughts?" A familiar voice asked me.

"Nah, you don't wanna waste your money." I replied. We both looked at each other for a moment then started laughing.

"Thank you, Jellal." I said sincerely as I wrapped him in a tight embrace.

"Too what do I owe the pleasure?" he asked with a smirk on his face. "Shut up," I said as I lightly punched him on the shoulder.

We continued "hugging" each other longer than what was socially acceptable for "friends". I wish we could stay like this forever.

Age: 17

It was a nice day outside today, very bright and sunny. The air smelled like fresh strawberries.

"Ooh, strawberries, I wonder if they are selling strawberry cake?!" I thought hungrily to myself. I kept following the scent and I was led to a bakery called Magnolia Sweets.

I walked up to the counter and placed my order. "I'll have 2 slices of strawberry cake." I waited a couple minutes, then the baker handed me my cake. I thanked him and went on my way.

As I was walking to the guild I was enjoying my delicious strawberry cake. It was so bright and moist. Like a little piece of heaven on my tongue. When I first walked into the guild I was knocked off my feet by Millianna. "NOOOO! My strawberry cake!" I yelled as it was flying through the air.

"ERZIE! WILL YOU GO ON A JOB WITH ME!" she shouted at the top of her lungs. I was speechless. At that point everyone in the guild was staring at us. I tried speaking but no words were coming out of my mouth. I was still thinking about my strawberry cake.

"She would love to." a voice replied. I looked over and saw my best friend standing with a slice of strawberry cake in his hands. At the moment I was to relieved to notice that I walked into the guild with one and a half slices. Meaning he ate my strawberry cake.

Getting back to the topic at hand. "What is the job?" I asked her. "We are going to put on a play for the little kids in a guild in a town not to far over. The reward is 10000 jewel." This job is going to go great I love the arts.

"Are you coming Jellal?" I asked him as we made our way to the train station. He nodded his head yes.

I never thought Jellal would be an actor. Well, I guess you learn something new every day.

As we boarded the train I noticed the train car looked very up class.

"Millianna, how much did you pay for this car?" Jellal asked as if reading my mind. Before the cat like girl could speak a new voice spoke up. "Actually, Jellal, I paid for the car and I got a discount because I'm friends with the conductor."

"Simon?! What are you doing here?!" I yelled in surprise.

"I invited him Erzie." Millianna said happily. "Anyway, let me tell you all your parts. I will be the princess' cat. Simon will be the prince. Jellal will be the villain. And Erzie will be the princess!"

"WHAT?!" Jellal, Simon, and I shouted in unison. Although, Simon kind of looked ecstatic, Jellal, on the other hand looked ready to murder someone.

"Here is the script. I made it myself. Don't forget we have an hour till showtime." All three of us shared the same shocked expression on our faces.

"An hour?! Millianna, how could we possible learn our lines in a hour?!" My best friend shouted. "Duh, your going to improvise. The only things you guys need to do and defeat the villain." she said.

"Who's kissing who?" I asked starting to get flustered. "The prince and the princess of course. Like every fairy tale." She said in a no duh tone. My face was as red as my scarlet hair, and so was Simon's! I didn't dare turn to see what Jellal looked like right now.

"Well, I guess we have to Erza. Don't forget, it's for the kids and we don't want to disappoint them." Simon said giving into Millianna's devious scheme. "Y-Yeah for t-t-the kids." I stuttered out hesitantly.

"What do you think Jellal?" Simon asked with a smirk on his face.

"Yeah. Whatever." he responded quietly. Once again I was shocked. How could Jellal just agree to something like. I mean we're not a couple so he's not subjected to deny the decision. But still. "I'm gonna go take a quick nap." Jellal suddenly announced. With that he left the train car. "Yeah, maybe I should rest up to." Millianna agreed.

Thanks guys, as if this situation wasn't awkward enough. "So are you ready for this?" Simon asked breaking the awkward tension between us. Not really wanting to talk, I just simply nodded my head. Now, the silence had returned. "I'm going to start practicing my lines." I said starting to leave the car.

"Ditto."

Who even says that anymore?

I knocked on the door of the car Jellal was "sleeping" in. He didn't answer so I just walked in. The first sign I saw that he wasn't sleeping is that he was laying on his side. Jellal always sleeps on his back. The second sign was he was completely quiet. He always lightly snores or quietly mumbles in his sleep. I know this because I've observed his sleeping habits over the years. We don't sleep together. Of course not! Just whenever he crashes on my couch after a mission.

"Jellal, I know your not really sleeping." I say confronting him. Still he did not move. I walked over to the bed and started tickling him. His one weakness, unless he's sleeping. Jellal's breathing got faster as he was stifling in his laughter. Seeing this was going nowhere, I flipped him over on his side. His face was red from all the laughing, and when he looked up at me he immediately stopped smiling.

"Oh, hey Scarlet," Jellal says flatly.

"Jellal, why were you ignoring me?" I question him. I know he's about to lie because he's not looking me in the eye. "I was sleeping." he says looking at window.

I smile and say, "You're a horrible liar." He doesn't say anything and we sit in a comfortable silence. "You know you can tell me anything. That what friends are for. No, that's what best friends are for." I say looking him in the eyes. Is he turning red?

"I-It's just that I don't want Simon taking advantage of you." he lied through his teeth.

"Really?" I ask raising an eyebrow. He nods his head vigorously. "You know he's had a huge crush on you since we were kids." Jellal states.

"I know." I respond looking at my feet blushing heavily.

"But this is Simon. We have known him since we were kids, and we both know he wouldn't hurt a fly." I state matter-o-factly. He grunted out a whatever. I felt the train come to a stop. "Looks like we're here." I point out. He let out a sigh and we both walked out of the car.

Once we got of the train we started walking to a guild called Lizard Eye. It was a guild form beginner mages under the age of 18. It was a short walk to the guild. So when we got inside we used the twenty minutes we had to do our make up and get dressed.

I went to my dressing room and sat at the make up desk. The room was small and had plain white walls. The make up desk and the couch against the wall were the only items in the room. I undid my braid at started straightening my hair. Once I was satisfied with my end product, I carefully combed through my long scarlet hair. It feels good to wear my hair loose. The last time I had it like this was before I grew it out. So that was 7-8 years ago!

I quickly glanced at the clock over on the wall.

Okay, ten minutes.

I have decided that I will do my make up next. To be honest, I have never really down make up before.

Maybe, I should ask Millianna for help. She does this all the time! No, you are a strong young woman and will conquer this foe on your own.

I internally argued with myself. I glanced over at the make up palate. You can do this.

Still having no clue what to do, I applied a large a large amount of red blush to my face. I put it on my nose, forehead, cheeks, and chin. Next, I decided to put on mascara. I made sure that I would get a lot of the mascara from the bottle on my eyelashes. I batted them a few more times for testing. Perfect! Finally, I applied my eye shadow.

Okay, since the dress is blue, then my eyes should be blue as well.

When I finished putting it on I made sure it went up to my eyebrows. I tilted the mirror towards me so I could see my face.

I looked like a clown. I was about to start balling my eyes out when a heard a knock on the door. "Five minutes!" the voice announced.

"Millianna!" I exclaimed getting up and running towards the door. "Please. You have to help me." I begged the girl. She stepped inside my room and took a look at my face. Horror filled her eyes as she sweatdropped.

"No problem Erzie. I will fix you up." she said as she motioned for me to sit down. As she was wiping all the make up off my face I thanked her generously.

5 minutes later...

"Your a miracle worker." I say appreciatively as I look at myself in the mirror. I was about to walk outside when a hand stopped me. "Where are you going? You still have to put on your costume." she stated as she handed me my dress and shoes. The dress was royal blue and went along perfectly with the color of my hair. It was so long that it went to the floor. A thin silver chain wrapped around the waist of the dress like a belt. It was a high neckline dress so when I put it on I felt a breeze on my shoulders.

Millianna handed me the sparkly silver shoes and the fit like a glove. "You look beautiful." she said.

"Thank you." I replied thinking about my before picture.

"And I bet a certain some one will think that too." she said smirking.

"We better go, I think the play is about to start." I say changing the subject. We walk the door and meet up with Jellal and Simon.

What ever conversation they were having immediately stopped as they looked our direction. Their jaws dropped as they took in my appearance. I started blushing because of all the attention."Clothes your mouths boys, you'll catch flies." Millianna says slyly as she stifles in her laughter. All three of our faces have gone red with embarrassment now. Jellal clears his throat and says,

"Wow, Scarlet-."

"Erza, you truly look beautiful right now." Simon says interrupting him.

"Thank you," I say quietly looking at my feet. The guild master signals for us to get on stage and start the play. "Break a leg." Millianna whispers as I exit toward the stage.

I walked onto the stage with confidence and was about to speak until I froze.

"Erza, what are you doing?! Stop this nonsense!" I inwardly cursed at myself right now. Okay think. WWJD? I looked off stage over at Jellal. When his gaze met mine he gave me a small thumbs up and I smiled.

"Hello, my name is Erza Scarlet and I'm the princess of a land called Fiore. Right now I am on my way to prince Simon's castle for the ball. We may not know each other very well but we will get married one day." I say as dreamily as I possibly could. I took a quick glance over to our audience, and they looked so bored.

Curtain Pull

"They sure loved me." I said sarcastically. Jellal rolled his eyes and winked at me.

Curtain Rise

"Hello Simon." I greet him as I curtsy.

"I'm so glad you could come to the ball."

"Anything for you Simon." I reply.

"You look parched. Waiter! Get me and the lady some water." Simon demanded. Jellal came on stage in a waiter costume carrying two empty classes. "Here sir," he says emotionless as he hands us the cups. We both "drink" the water at the same time.

We both set our glasses down as Jellal starts laughing evilly. "What is the meaning of this Jellal," Simon asks angrily.

"Well, you see I have poisoned the princess' drink here. She will go into eternal slumber until given an antidote. I will give it to you when you hand over your kingdom and her hand in marriage." he demanded.

"I would never agree to such conditions." Simon argued. Too bad Jellal wasn't listening. "It should be taking effect right...now." The waiter shouted as he dramatically pointed at me.

I fell out of my seat and onto the floor.

Curtain Pull

I felt a pair of hands picking me up. "I can walk you know." I tell him.

"You could, but then you would ruin the essence of the scene." Jellal says carrying me bridal style to the sleeping coffin. "You're such a dork." I chuckle at him.

"I'm your dork. Sweet dreams Scarlet." he says placing me in the coffin

I start blushing as I close my eyes.

Curtain Rise

"Erza, my love." Simon shouted. "This isn't fair."

"Your absolutely right. Since I believe in giving people chances I'll strike you a deal. We shall have a battle to the death. If you win I will give you the antidote, but if I win I will take your kingdom and Scarlet's hand in marriage." Jellal offered.

I felt my face heating up. Even though we were onstage performing he stilled called me by my nickname.

"I accept your challenge, battle to the death!" Simon declared.

Curtain Pull

I felt someone hovering over my casket so I identified him. "I can't believe you called me Scarlet." I addressed Jellal.

"How did you know it was me?"

"Best friend intuition. No, I've known you since I was nine, I think I would recognize the sound of your voice by now. Anyway, ready to battle to the death?" I ask him doing jazz hands.

"Honestly, I don't know if your worth all this trouble Scarlet." he says. "Shut up."

Curtain Rise

I wish I could see the fight, because I hear a lot of grunting and groaning. I think they are fighting with sword props, because I also hear a lot of metal clashing. The crowd is chanting Simon over and over again so I hope Jellal will take a hint and lose. After what feels like an eternity the fight is over. Our audience is cheering so I take it Simon won.

"The antidote is in my pocket." Jellal says weakly. I hear foot steps approach me and open my mouth slightly. Simon comes up to me and puts the empty bottle it against me lips. I open my eyes slowly and glance up at Simon. "You have saved me my prince." I say sounding trying to sound appreciative. This is weird, I always thought you know who would be my first kiss. Simon puts his hand on my cheek and looks me in the eyes. We lean in closer and closer until we are centimeters apart...

Whack!

I watch as Jellal's fist connects with Simon's face. "Looks like I have won the fight!" Jellal declares victoriously to the audience. I was shocked. Everyone, including me did not see this coming. Talk about situational irony.

"Don't worry he should only be out for five minutes." he tells me.

Millianna is going to be so mad at us. Well, I guess we can still do the kiss...No Erza, he's your best friend.

I try reasoning with myself, but all reasoning goes out the door when I see him smile at me.

Jellal, Simon, same thing.

"I like your hair." he whispers to me as he leans in closer. Thinking its either now or never, I close the gap in between our lips. Before Jellal can react he is shot down to the ground by...Millianna?! When he tries to stand back up, let's just say, he might now be able to have babies in the future. Ouch.

The crowd gasped in surprise. Jellal winning was a shock, but Millianna, the cat, kicking him in the balls, was the unthinkable. "I have saved you, my master." She says proudly after meowing.

Curtain Pull

I jumped out of my casket and ran to the bathroom to get cold water for Simon and a bag of ice for Jellal. I splashed it on Simon's face and he woke up.

"Where are we?" he asked confused. Once he saw we at the stage he sighed in relief. I gave the ice to the groaning Jellal and he seemed to get better by tenfold.

"Was that really necessary?" I asked Millianna.

"What happened?" he asked curiously. Millianna and I looked at each other before answering. "Well, I kinda sorta kicked Jellal in... some places for kissing Erza." she said...proudly? I felt myself blushing upon remembering the situation.

He sighed in relief. "Good," I arched my eyebrow.. "Since he punched me," he said hurriedly.

"What are gonna do about Jellal?" Millianna spoke up.

"I can stand on my own," he offered. When he tried to stand he fell right back down. I looked to Simon and nodded. We both took hold of Jellal and put his arms around our shoulders for support.

Curtain Rise

We all walked onto stage and bowed. The guild master also came on stage and announced the parts.

"Erza Scarlet as...Erza Scarlet!"

"Jellal Fernandes as... Jellal!"

"Simon Mikazuchi as... Simon!"

"Millianna as...the cat!"

The crowd erupted into cheers as we took the final bow.

Age: 19

"Okay guys, lets get this party started." Lucy announced to her party guests even though it was 3 in the morning. She invited Cana, Jellal, Natsu, Simon, Gray, Juvia, Levy, Gajeel, Lisanna, and I. All of the girls including myself were staying for a sleepover while the guys had to leave when everyone started to fall asleep...whenever that was.

"Juvia thinks we should play a game," Juvia suggested.

"Yeah like never have I have I ever." Cana piped up as she started to grab cups for the shots. We all gathered around in a circle while Cana started explaining the rules. "The rules are simple. The person who is going will say never have I ever blah blah blah. If you have done it you must take a shot. I'll go first. Never have I ever had a crush."

Everyone except Gray took a shot. Juvia paled at the sight.

"Never have I ever been kissed." Gajeel states. This time Lucy, Jellal, and I take a shot.

"Really Erza, who was the brave guy." Natsu asks. Jellal and I both look down and start blushing.

Lucy sighed. "It's who is the brave guy Natsu, not was."

Gray snickered. "Not after Erza was done with him"

"Shut up," I shout angrily smacking them both on the back of their heads.

"Come on guys, let's get on with the alcohol." Cana said.

"Never have I ever dated someone." Simon says looking around the circle. Only Gajeel and Lisanna took a shot. I looked over at Natsu as his jaw dropped in disbelief. Was it really that hard to believe that I've had a boyfriend before?

"Never have I ever broken a bone." Lucy states proudly. Every one took a drink except Juvia and Cana of course.

"Never have I ever called someone by a nickname." I said smirking at Jellal. He groaned as he took a shot along with Gray and Natsu.

Several never have I evers later...

"Since I'm the least drunk person here I will pick the last never have I ever," Cana announced. "Since it's a big one we will turn the lights off so we won't see the people taking their shots. Never have I ever been in love with my best friend." She said as she flipped the lights off.

When I was grabbing my shot I felt a familiar hand accidentally brush up against mine.

Jellal?

When Cana flipped the switch five cups were missing. Every one was looking around at each other trying to figure out who got what. Lisanna obviously grabbed one because her feelings for Natsu are as clear as day. Juvia's best friend is Gajeel, but she loves Gray. Gray doesn't have a best friend. Gajeel likes Levy but their not best friends. Same for Levy. Cana and Lucy said they haven't had crushes on their friends before. That leaves me, Jellal, Simon, and Natsu. Natsu and Lisanna are best friends and they both took shots. I saw that one coming from a mile away.

The last three people are Jellal, Simon, and myself. Well Jellal and I are best friends and we both took shots... Jellal must have figured it out too because at the same time we both went up to each other and said, "I love you." After confessing we both started to kiss each other passionately, completely forgetting our audience.

"It's about time." Gray shouted to us. Everyone agreed with him.

"Upon this new found couple we shall drink and be merry. Today is the birth of Jerza." Cana announced. "To Jerza." I say lifting up my glass.

"To Jerza." Every one reciprocated. The rest of that night was a blur, but I'm pretty sure Cana will tell us what happened.

The next morning...

I awoke with a pair of arms wrapped around my body. I looked up and saw Jellal smiling down on me. "Good morning Scarlet," he said quietly while smiling. "Good morning," I whispered back before he gave me a chaste kiss. I jumped out of bed and started walking to the kitchen when I realized I was butt naked.

I started screaming at the top of my lungs. "Shh, your going to wake the whole house." Jellal said with the smile never leaving his lips.

"Why am I naked?!" I quietly exclaimed. All he did was look at me and wiggle his eyebrows. My face felt like it was on fire. Before Jellal could speak the door opened and Natsu came in. "Erza are you-" but he didn't finish his sentence because he also started screaming.

"What's going on flame brain?" Gray asked as he stepped into the room. He looked at me and they both started screaming, "My eyes!"

"GET OUT!" Jellal and I both yelled attempting to get them out. Natsu rolled into a ball hugging his knees whispering why me over and over again. Jellal managed to put some underwear on while I stood there as naked as the day I was born.

"Erza what's happening?" Simon asks concerned stepping into the room. He froze when he saw me and immediately started blushing hard. Jellal must have had enough of or was jealous three people have seen me, because he grabbed a bat and knocked all three of them out. Why does Lucy have a bat in her guest bedroom? "Was that necessary?" I asked still flustered.

"Yep, because only these eyes can see you." he said pointing to his eyes.

"Where are my clothes?" I asked looking around the bedroom. Instantly, I knew the culprit. "CANA!" I yelled loudly. I put on my bra and underwear because those were the only clothing garments I had.

"Here you can wear my shirt." Jellal tossed it at me as he started to put on his pants. I put it on and it kind of looked like a dress on me.

"I guess this will work for now." I state as we leave to go to the kitchen.

I felt my face heat up as every one was staring at me. "I'll take a slice of strawberry cake." I told Lisanna. After I placed my order Jellal came in shirtless dragging in Natsu, Gray, and Simon. I saw Lucy staring at his abs and asked, "What are you looking at Lucy."

She sweat dropped, "Nothing Erza! Nothing at all! I swear! I glared at her as Lisanna handed me my precious strawberry cake.

"Erza you naughty girl! Looks like your not afraid to show off." Cana exclaimed gesturing to Jellal's shirt. I glared at her knowing she was behind it.

"What happened last night?" I asked then groaned in pain. My hungover from last night just hit me hard.

"Well you and Jellal got really drunk and started to make out in front of everyone. You were practically about to do the nasty right then and there when Gajeel said get a room. So you guys went into the room and the rest is history." she said smirking. I swear today is the reddest I've been in my entire life.

"When you did get a room you guys were so loud. Erza you were like oh Jellal. We all regret not buying ear plugs." I hid my face behind my hands as the girls started laughing.

"So, what happened to those three?" Levy asked pointing towards Natsu, Gray, and Simon. "Jellal knocked the out with a baseball bat." I said nonchalantly. Juvia's jaw dropped looking in Gray's direction.

"A story for another time," I say chuckling.

Age: 29

I watched as my two children ripped open their present hungrily. I smile at them, when I feel an arm snake around my waist. "Mistletoe," he says holdinga little green plant above my head. We both kiss and hear are children yell gross. I can feel his smile against my lips.

"Merry Christmas, Scarlet."

"Merry Christmas."
