[Author note added after the story is completed] I'm sorry if some of the rivals aren't into their personalities because I wrote this story BEFORE the game is completed and the rivals introduction video is uploaded by YandereDev, so I didn't know all the rivals yet.

[Author note added on July 24th 2017] All the chapters were updated on the same mentioned day. This is my most viewed story, yet there are a lot of errors, so I want to fix them all. And I also fixed the parts that made the characters OOC, but only the ones that wouldn't affect the plot too much.

Chapter 1: Thoughts I

It was a beautiful day in Akademi High. The sunlight shone brightly down the ground below it, birds were chirping and the beautiful cherry blossom were blooming… It was such a nice day to have a walk around the school, talk with friends, have fun with them…

Somewhere near the cherry blossom, on a bench, there sat a school girl. Her black hair swayed slightly as the wind came by, along with the pretty pink petals. Her dark grey eyes were half-lidded and filled with sadness. She was all alone. No friends, no joy… just herself and the cherry trees.

Her name was Ayano Aishi, but she called herself "Yandere-chan" as a nickname. A long time ago, she thought she could feel no emotion, no love at all… until she met him, her Senpai, Taro Yamada. When she first saw him, her heart beat fast so suddenly. That was when she could feel love… for the first time of her life. She cannot understand why she had so strong feelings for him. Why him? Why not someone else? It was just so strange… But no matter what, she knew she only had him, she couldn't lose him! She was just too shy to confess to him.

That's why she had to do everything to claim him as her own, even that meant hurting and killing others, her rivals, even her friends… But she didn't care, all she want was her Senpai, her only love.

"How selfish was I back then…" She mumbled to herself as she looked down, watching the petals fall on the ground.

She had killed so many people that her uniform was stained with blood. She had gotten away many murders, even the police couldn't find out who was the murderer. She had used so many tricks: writing a message to meet at the rooftop, then pushed them until they fell off and pretended that they ended their own life; wearing an artist's smock to make the other students ignored the "red paint" on her; taking panties shots, placed answer sheets in their desk, placing ring and cigarette in their bags to blame them for stealing and smoking, spread rumors until they got expelled… She had done many awful things with no regret. She even succeeded in helping Kokona, one of her rivals, and convincing her to give up on Senpai.

With those things, she could have won his heart, but she couldn't. Was it because she failed to stop her rivals from confessing to her Senpai?

The answer is… no.

No one got in her way.

She gave up by herself.

"How silly was I, trying so hard for nothing..."

She remembered the day she finally made that decision.

Flashback…

Yandere-chan was hiding behind the cherry tree, watching Osana-chan as she was having a conversation with her Senpai.

"So… have any news today?". Senpai said. His voice was just like music to her.

"Nothing new…" Osana-chan said, flipping her hair. Yandere-chan hated it when she did that.

"Say… remember when we used to play chase under the cherry trees when we were little?" He looked up as the wind slightly blew the petals.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever... Taro-kun." She hated Osana-chan for calling her Senpai "Taro-kun". Only her could call him that. She know they were close because they were childhood friens, but she can't bear the thought that she was left out.

"Hey Taro-kun, my friends think that you are cute, handsome and attractive, but honestly... I don't see anything like that in you."

Senpai just chuckled.

Yandere-chan can feel anger built up in her. She hated when she saw her spending times with him. She forbad her to. With her blood-stained knife in her hand, she could stabbed Osana-chan immediately, but with her Senpai there, all she could do was stand there.

"Hey, wanna have lunch together on the rooftop at lunchtime?" Senpai asked when the school bell rang.

"Alright, you better not come late, got it?"

"Okay, I promise not to be late, Osana-chan."

As both of them separated, Yandere-chan secretly watched Senpai walking to his classroom, then left for her class afterward. Her next period was Chemistry, so she could learn to poison student's food and lunch.

To be continued…
