I close my eyes tight,
So now the vision of you near makes me feel alright.

Fleur closed her eyes, desperately willing the incessant beating of her heart to calm. The images of two familiar redheads were burned on the inside of her eyelids. There was no escaping them—she had them on her mind.

She had made her eternal vows to Bill Weasley, but her heart wasn't in it. Of course, she had loved Bill back then, but now she wasn't so sure. Everything she had been taught wasn't true. Love wasn't eternal and ever-lasting; it was fleeting. Passing in the blink of an eye, so easily missed that you had to keep a firm grip on it.

Fleur hadn't kept her grip. She had been too easily lulled by another Weasley—Bill's brother, Charlie. She hated herself for allowing her heart to be so easily swung, but there was nothing she could do about it now. For a few weeks, she felt as though her heart was a pendulum, swinging from Bill to Charlie. A silent inner war waged within her, until her cursed heart finally settled on the wrong Weasley.

And now she had to make a decision. Would she stay with the man who had professed his undying love through marital vows, who could give her everything—or would she go with the man who made her heart flutter and her stomach melt into a puddle?

Either one would be an earth-shattering choice.
