"Nico-" Will ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "Nico, stop-no, you're gonna cut off her circulation!"

Nico growled. "Well excuse me for not being efficiently practiced in nursing techniques! Besides, the tighter it is, the more support it'll provide, right?"

Will sighed again. "That's not how it works, Nico..." He grabbed Nico's hands and pulled them off of the girl's poor arm, proceeding to carefully unwrap the bandage that the son of Hades had so carelessly bound around the patient's elbow. "This is just for joint support. The only time you need pressure is when things are bleeding. Do you understand that?"

"Whatever."

Will rolled his eyes and gently reapplied the ace bandage. "Sorry about that," he smiled sheepishly at the girl; a daughter of Hecate, he was pretty sure. "It's a miracle I even got him to try just that alone, though now I'm thinking maybe I should've let him practice on me first."

Will heard Nico huff behind him, and could just picture how he must have been crossing his arms over his chest, looking to the side with that annoyed expression that Will had gotten to know very well recently.

After the girl told Will that it was no big deal and left the infirmary, Will turned around, ready to lecture Nico on the art of bandage application. He wasn't surprised, however, to see that the boy was no longer there. Will groaned. "For the love of my own father, Nico, you don't have to run away every single time you fail at sticking a band aid on someone."

"Yes I do, because you lecture me every time I don't."

Will, not expecting a reply, jumped a 180 and yelped. "Nico! Don't do that!"

...

"Uh, Nico?"

"What?"

"Where the Hades are you? This is creeping me out."

"Can't you follow the sound of my voice? Or does using that super sonic whistle of yours gradually damage your hearing?"

"I-" Suddenly something hit Will's head. "What the...a paper clip?" He knelt down to pick up the small metal object and tilted his head towards the ceiling in hopes of discovering the source of the assault. And for the second time that day, Will yelped. "NICO! WHAT IN THE GODS' NAMES ARE YOU DOING IN THE CEILING?! AND WHERE DID YOU GET A FREAKING PAPER CLIP!?"

One of the ceiling tiles had been very quietly removed, and in its place was the shockingly unamused son of Hades 's face, long black hair hanging about his head.

"To answer your first question, I shadow traveled to the attic. To answer your second question, my pocket. Do you have a problem with paper clips?"

"I, uh.." Will found himself at a loss for words. Nico was staring down at him, from the freaking ceiling, and apparently had a stash of paper clips in his pockets.

"See you later, Will." And with that Nico retreated, shadow traveling to what Will assumed was cabin 13.

The son of Apollo buried his face in his hands.

"I have the strangest friends."

"That's a very rude thing to say."

This time, Will's yelp was heard about halfway across the camp.
