Hajime Hinata, was suspicious.

Nagito Komaeda and Mikan Tsumiki, two of his classmates and close friends, had just gotten into a relationship. At first he had been really happy for them, those two would be great for each other. Thier mutual self loathing can be repaired by their mutual love for each other. Great!

But now it's been two weeks since they had gotten together, and Nagito has been acting strange towards Mikan.

Every day, after class ends. The couple would walk out of the classroom together, and into the hallway were they would talk for a few minutes.

This was completely normal. All couples talk, it was just the places that change. Hajime had nothing to worry about.

Until one day, he overheard one of their conversations.

He had been walking back to his dorm, but remembered that he left one of his textbooks in the classroom. So naturally, he went back to go get it. But as he was approaching the classroom, he heard something odd. A question.

"You want to draw on me?"

He peeked around the corner, and saw the two. They were standing close together, as couples do. He knew he shouldn't be eavesdropping, but something about this didn't seem right. That was a question Mikan always asks her bullies. Hajime awaited Nagito's answer and was surprised to hear it was,

"Yes."

What was going on? Was Nagito taking advantage of her? Is that it? No, he'd have more respect for the ultimates than that right? He knew Nagito could be pretty twisted sometimes, but… it wasn't this bad was it?

He watched curiously as Mikan handed him a black permanent marker. Nagito then took her arm and began writing something. Once he was finished, he gave Mikan a smile, and then walked away.

This had been happening for the past eight days now. He hated spying on his friends, but if Nagito was hurting her, he had to step in.

So one day, after Nagito and Mikan had done their little routine, Hajime casually walked around the corner and conveniently noticed something funny on Mikan's arm.

"Hey Mikan!" He stated excitedly.

"Hello." The nurse returned.

"Oh, is there something written on your arm?"

A faint blush washed over her cheeks.

"Yeah…" She mumbled.

"Can I see it?" He asked.

For a moment, she looked uncertain. As if showing him was a bad thing. This all but confirmed it. Nagito wasn't helping her. He was just using her like the rest.

"You can trust me Mikan." He tried to say reassuringly.

The nurse looked back and forth down the hallway, as if Nagito might just jump out of nowhere. He has been known to do that.

Mikan slowly raised her arm and turned it slightly so he could see whatever was inked onto her arm.

Hajime nearly slapped himself in the face.

Written on her arm was the words, "I love you."

Mikan quickly covered her arm again and smiled with a now full blown blush.

"Nagito has been writing a letter each day everyday for the past eight days. I didn't know what he was doing until the third day. I just thought he was messing with me, but… instead I got this."

A bright smile decorated her face as she looked off into the distance, probably thinking about her Nagito.

"How, sweet of him… well I have to go now. Bye Mikan."

"Oh, bye Hajime."

He walked away and went straight to his dorm room. Hajime Hinata was never suspicious again.
