Chapter 1, Sonic the…. Charizard?

On Mobius, the world has been in a constant war between the Freedom Fighters and the Egg-Man empire. Though the mad scientist has only come slightly close to achieving is goal thanks to the world's savior and some call Symbol of Peace, Sonic the Hedgehog. And has been beating the giant talking egg for 6 years much to Egg-Man's annoyance especially since the blue blur started at the age of 12. The blue blur was in his bed looking at the ceiling thinking. For the past months, he has been reflecting on his time as the hero of Mobius and what might be after he finally put an end to Egg-Man's evil plans permanently. His thoughts line up with the idea that his life would get boring fast, especially since he at this point seen 91% of Mobius at this point. And without Egg-Man he has no challenge he has to overcome,

"Man I remember the only worry I had was avoiding Amy from hugging me to death," Sonic said he finally got out of bed and put on his classic gloves and shoes. And he looks in the mirror to check he looked good and he did as always, the same blue hedgehog that at peak human physicality but still skinny due to not being a muscle-bound meathead. He woke out of the room and saw Tails the fox Sonic sees as a younger brother who he met when the kid was 8 and was the first person to be nice to him and in fact gave him the name Tails. Tails was fixing his robot pet T-Pup on the kitchen table. Sonic could not help but feel proud of how much his little body grew. He was now as tall if not slightly smaller than himself but had a belt and wore Aviator goggles on his head which had different vision types if needed,

"Hey, buddy any call for action?" Sonic said as he walks to the fridge to get something to eat and drink to fuel his day, "No., in fact, it a pretty calm down. Antonie and Bunnie are on a mission together. Rotor is working on repair defenses of the base and Sally doing a meeting at this point or was it later?" not sure on that one as he saw Sonic eat an apple clean and throwing what's left in the trash and now chugging down some milk. He put the milk away and was about to head out when a projector shows Nichole the A.I. of the Freedom Fighters. Her avatar was based on a lynx fitting with her full name Nichole the Holo-Lynx. She had green eyes with a purple white coat with it being black inside the coat. Had black pants with white and black shoes and gloves with purple rings on her wrists,

"Hello, Sonic The Hedgehog. Sally Acorn has a base she like you to check out." Sonic was happy to actually have something to do, "Okay, where is it?" Nichole informs him of the directions to the base. But Tails had a bad feeling, "Sonic are you sure you want to go alone?" Sonic turns his buddy and patted his head, "I'll be fine bud. I will be back before you know it." Sonic walks out of the house and ran top speed outside the base he was inside and head to the destination Nichole gave him from Sally herself.

It took Sonic five minutes to arrive due to his incredible speed. The base in question looks abandon with nature taken over some of the base and will cover more of the base as time passes by. Sonic heads in but fail to notice that all the alarms were rigged and destroyed beyond repair to do their function. Sonic look around and saw some familiar old Badniks and some damage Egg Mobiles in a corner. Sonic had a feeling that he should get the hell out of there, but he needs to know what's giving him this gut feeling He soon enter the room that looks over the core which powers the base and saw it going out of control pulsing with energy!?

"WHAT THE!" Sonic shouted as he examined the screen and some read, quantum core overloading and about to explode in 5 seconds. Sonic eyes widen as he turns and starts to run at top speed out but it was too late and was caught in the explosion and was in the radius causing damage to himself seriously wounding him before he felt his body turn into something not physical. He then when he opened his eyes he saw he was in a tunnel of multiple colors and his mind could not fully get what's going on outside of flashes of images like these strangely different color crystals reminding him of the Chaos Emeralds. One was a yellow/gold color crystal flew away and turn into a horse-like creature before a light blinded Sonic as his body morph into a blue sphere of energy and pick up the pace to his destination.

In the world of Pokemon in a small town called Pallet Town and the home of the most important person in the study of Pokemon in the modern age, Professor Oak. and at his lab/house's backyard, he had many Pokemon left theirs by trainers namely Ash Ketchum the kid since he was ten been on a never-ending journey to become a Pokemon Master. One of theses Pokemon was a Charizard resting on a rock that it usually laid on if Snorlax is being a fucking hog with the best tree for sleeping under. Charizard opens its eyes which were not blue anymore but in fact emerald green. The lizard yawns smacking its lips checking what's going?

"Hmm, it seems Oak's lab is as boring as usual as of late- wait? How do I know that? In fact, where am I?" he got up and looked around an Oak's garden was both familiar and not at the same time which made Sonic more confuse though he was not enough to punch himself in the face. Sonic thinks wonder first why was he here? "That generator was quantum energy core? Did not Egg-Man monologue that energy can create portals to other worlds along with traveling through time." Sonic was in thought and fail to notice someone coming to him.

"Charizard are you okay?" said a younger voice that reminds Sonic of Tails. Sonic turn behind him where the voice came from and came from this small Otter like creature that had a white head with dark blue ears, brownish nose with black eyes, this creature had a cyan color body with a seashell on its chest with white arms and dark blue flipper feet and platypus/beaver-like tail. Sonic was not sure if its friend or foe and who this Charizard he thinks Sonic is.

"I'm doing alright kid," Sonic said deciding not to make a scene and walk away, "What's happening to me? I don't remember how I got from Mobius to Oak's Lab? But given the core-"

Sonic stops so he can process what he just said. Oak's lab? Who is Oak? How the hell did he know a guy he does not even know? He got up and did not have trouble getting up and start walking around and look around to see he can fine if there is a way back home. But the younger lad did notice the change in tone and way of speak, also not saying his race name which was Oshawott. The Unova aquatic starter heads to Bulbasaur the most trustworthy Pokemon Oshawott knew at Oak's lab. Sonic looked around and saw more familiar Pokemon but at the same time not familiar for the former Hedgehog.

Meanwhile, with Oak, he was studying some new research from Sycamore on his thought on what's the connection between the keystone and the ite to the respected Pokemon. He has been on this for a solid week but no results since he does not have an ite or a Pokemon with a known ite to exist. So he can only study the energy it pulses which is not like anything on this planet. Then he heard someone enter his room and Oak knew it had to be only 2 people/Pokemon that enter those being Muk the hug demon, or Tracey and guessing by the footsteps it's Tracey.

"Professor we got a problem on our hands." Oak decided he needs a break from what he was working on and turned to Tracey, "What is it, Tracey?" "Charizard he seems to be acting weird." Oak was confused, "Weird how?" "Weird in he not talking the same and actually speaking English." This got Oak's attention but before he joins Tracey who went back outside, he decides to call Miss Delia to inform Ash what's going on.

Meanwhile, at the Ketchum Household Ash was resting on his back taking over the entire living room couch. He was looking at the ceiling was inside of his mind thinking and reflecting on his battle in the Unova league namely against Cameron. He was back in the stadium doing the match over and it was about to begin,

"Alright, ready Ash." Cameron said to Ash who only smirks confidently, "Don't worry I make your defeat swift and painless as possible." Cameron did not react since it was a dream and in his dream, Ash was king of the world. They start with their first Pokemon. For Cameron, it was simply Hydreigon but for Ash, he decides to rock Cameron's world with Charizard. His fire starter from Kanto appears and roar knocking Hydreigon back from its roar alone. Cameron was terrified, "Wow that Pokemon is out of my league. But I won't give up." Ash smirk,

"Your Funeral Cameron. You may go first. Right referee?" the referee said of course lord Ketchum. So Cameron started with Hydreigon to use Tri Attack but Ash told Charizard to counter with Flamethrower. The Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Ice Beam from Hydreigon fire out from its three heads while Charizard fire a powerful stream of fire which overpowers the three-beam attack and hits Hydreigon head-on, "Hydreigon don't give up use Dragon Rush!" "Counter with Dragon Claw Charizard!" Ash command to Charizard who flew up towards with both claws covers in purple energy claws almost bigger than his wings as he flies up to the diving Hydreigon who was covered in a giant multi-color but mostly purple energy dragon. As the two got close and clash and the explosion happened. This hard for people to see except for mister Ketchum since he was best like no one ever was,

"Charizard uses Seismic Toss." Cameron gasp, "What but how my Hyreigon should have overpowered your Charizard." Ash only chuckle and pointed up to where Cameron should look to get the answer to the question he asked. Cameron looked up and gasp as the smoke clear showing Charizard holding onto both Hydreigon's arm heads still using Dragon Claw meaning it was hurting Hydreigon as he holds him. Charizard starts to fly down spinning at top speed and smash into the ground hard creating an explosion from the force of the impact. While dust and dirt was flying in around the impact area but it was clear Charizard was fine when it flew out the dust and dirt roaring to should its dominance over the defeated Hydreigon.

Cameron recalled the knocked out Hydreigon back and call out his Swanna which was a good match against Charizard, or so Cameron thought. Cameron told Swanna to use Scald on Charizard. So from its peak came a stream of hot water that flew through the air towards Charizard. The starter from Kant moved his head out of the way and fire a stream of purple flames which was his Dragon Breath attack. Swanna was scorch by the draconic flames from the attack and was seriously hurt from just one not super effective move,

"Swanna attack back with Steel Wing!" Swanna's wings got coated in silver energy as it flew towards Charizard. Charizard smirk especially after told to use Thunder Punch and punch Swanna down to the ground knocking it out cold with the shocking punch. Cameron returns Swanna and called on Samurott to end this Charizard's streak. Samurrot was told to use Hydro Pump. so from its open mouth came a powerful stream of water towards Charizard who side step and as it stomps towards Samurott it was told by Ash to use Dragon Breath. Samurrot took the purple flames to the face as he tries to reach for the blade on one of its front legs.

It drew its sword slashing the flames away but it was surprising to see Charizard right in his face as it blocks Samurott from using drawn sword to attack Charizard as it uses Crunch and bit on Samurott's neck and slam Samurott on its back and stomp hard on its face cracking the ground around the impact. When Charizard move its foot from Samurott's face and was unable to battle. Everyone was cheering for Charizard and Ash, in fact, Iris was praising Ash for being a genius and true Pokemon master and she was a kid for thinking she was smarter than him. Ash smile at this as see Cameron call on his next Pokemon to be destroyed by Charizard which was his Watchdog that Cameron forgot to bring in the real fight but in this dream, it only delay his defeat. Cameron was at the end of his rope and his Rilou could tell but try to cheer up his trainer and keep his spirits up,

"Watchdog attack using Aqua Tail." Watchdog's tail got cover in a whirlpool of water as it comes down on Charizard if it did not dodge the attack. Once the attack was over, Charizard uses Thunder Punch to electrocute the water shocking Watchdog, "Watchdog use your own Thunder Punch." Watchdog charge with an electrified paw. Charizard stomps towards the charging Watchdog and had its claw coated in blue energy since he was using Brick Break. As the two got close Watchdog's punch miss but Charizard's Brick Break did not miss as it launches Watchdog back and was out cold.

"Unbelievable this Charizard is making swiss cheese out of Cameron's Pokemon what will be his second to the last Pokemon?" Cameron 's next Pokemon he called was Ferrothorn hoping he can do something before his last Pokemon Riolu steps up to bat. The thorn pod Pokemon appear and then got scared shitless at the sight of Charizard. Charizard felt ending this Pokemon quick with a simple Flame Burst Attack. Charizard fire a large fireball that hit Ferrothorn and knocked it out. Cameron expected that to happen, so he sends Riolu who looked ready to fight but was scared inside but tried to ignore it and not show it to his foe,

"Riolu show him all you got with your Vaccum Wave attack!" so Riolut got covered in a tornado of fighting energy before launch an energy slash which did not phase Charizard as Ash says to him, "Use Shadow Claw." his claws got coated in black and dark purple energy claws and he slashes through the attack and upper slashes Riolu. Cameron smirk he was happy Charizard will get close, "Use Force Palm!" Riolu aims its paw at Charizard face at close range an explosion of blue energy from its paw. But it did not phase Charizard as it grabs one of Riolu's leg and tosses him hard into the ground. Charizard was about to fire Flamethrower when he saw Riolu glowing blue being coated in it as its body start to change!

Riolu was evolving into Lucario. Lucario was more confident in facing Charizard as it got in position to use Aura Sphere on Charizard. Both their attack and Charizard's attack overpowered Aura Sphere and hit Lucario. Lucario tries to get up but it was being hard due to all the pain it was in. Ash smirk at Cameron, "This is checkmate Cameron, Charizard use Flare Blitz." Charizard got coated in very hot flames and charge full speed at Lucario. It could not avoid the attack as it hit him causing a huge explosion even causing a small earthquake from the force of the impact. Once the dust is clear they saw Charizard standing tall roaring as red lightning pulsing around him from the recoil of the last attack he did. At his feet was the knocked Lucario. Ash won but before he could imagine his match with Vergil,

"Dear sandwiches are done." said his mom snapping him out of his daydreaming. He got up and stretch. Ash was only wearing a gray shirt and jeans with black shoes. Ash turn to the kitchen and saw his mom Delia was feeding both Mimey her mister Mime and Pikachu who was licking he shit out of a bottle of Ketchup since Ketchup is its first love and true love next to Dawn's Bunerary.

Ash walks to the kitchen and took a seat as his sweet mom puts a plate of pancakes for him. Delia smiled at her son with her brown hair and eyes with a ponytail on the back of her head along with wearing her usual attire. Ash digs in but not at his insane speed of consuming food.

"Hey, sweety are you okay?" Ash look at his mom who had a concerned look on her pretty face. Ash look away not wanting to talk about but also knew his mom would not leave him alone if he did not say anything, "I'm still hurt by horrible performance in Unova." Delia knew that been eating away at her son from within. She thought about what to do or say to bring the spirit that he shared with his now likely dead father. Delia then got an idea of what to do, "Ash would you like to know more about your dad?" this caught Ash attention, "Of course but I know its a touchy subject for-" "Nonsense dear I just- don't really like reflecting on this bleaker times of my life." Ash and Pikachu look notice her saddened face. Clearly, it was indeed a dark time for her. Delia sigh and decide to share some but not all the details,

"When I was around your age when you start your journey I ran away from home to be both a model and a Pokemon Master, but I was not bit a thieving person back in those days. I remember scamming your Dad for his money and when he forced me to give it back I stole his badges." She laughs at the last part since it was hilarious his reaction which was like her son which made it funnier in her eyes. Ash was surprised, "Wow I did not know that mom. But how and why did Dad get over that and you two be a thing?" Delia smile sadly, "He saves me from a bad group of birds since I have ornithophobia and still kind of do but it takes way more to get it to kick in, anyway he save me and ask if I wanted to join him and I said yes. And the rest was history." "Mom. thank you. It made me feel better a little." Ash said to his mom which made her smile at least it was some improvement. Then the phone was ringing and she picked it up.

Ash focuses on eating but he was unsure what to do next? Should he just go to Kalos as he did like the last few times when he failed to beat a league? It has improved his skills along with his Pokemons in the span of 2 years. But his train of thought was interrupted when his mom said, "Hey Sweety Oak says Charizard is acting up so best head over." this caught both Ash's and Pikachu's attention. Ash finishes the rest on his plate and once Pikachu was on his shoulder he makes a run to Oak's Lab to see what's going on.

Meanwhile, with Sonic, he was wandering around trying to find about this world and only saw more strange creatures that are clearly not Mobian but similar animal-like beings. As he walks around he starts to have memories of stuff that never happened to him. Like being beaten by some Pokemon these creatures are called, told to sit on a rock even as it rains the most dangerous weather to be in for a young weak Charmander. There it is again of him thinking he was a Charmander and is now a Charizard? What are they anyway? Sonic senses something coming towards his head, so he moves his head out of the way and saw it was a Razor Leaf.

Sonic turns to who dare attack him? He saw it was Bayleaf which was a yellow four-legged dinosaur with leaves around its neck and one big one on the back of its head acting like some kind of ponytail for her. She was stopped from attacking more by Bulbasaur, "Hey Bayleaf Stop we don't have to resort to violence." said Bulbasaur then a grass lizard with legs and arms walks next to him and said, "But we don't know what happens to change his attitude and voice." Sonic was more confused but he could see them encircling and the ones doing it was Floatzel who he heard evolve when it mastered Ice Punch. Also, Totodille the little guy had a heart of gold. Sonic was not scared of them but had no interest in fighting them.

"Hey, can you just inform me how I can no longer be this "Charizard" you speak off?" this confuses all of them. Totodille said the most oblivious one among them, "Weren't you always a Charizard?" Sonic was annoyed and for palm his head wanting to smack hand against a wall, but he only felt three-finger/claws on his face which is not the same as his normal human-like hands which had five fingers. He looks at his claw and saw the orange arm with three claws for fingers. What was he a lizard-like creature? Sonic looks for some way to see what he looks right now. Sonic saw a lake and stomp over pushing Pokemon out of the way, he needed to see what he looks like. And what he saw gave him many feelings rolled into one nice and likely delicious Burrito.

He looks like a dragon- correction he was not really a dragon but might as well be his body was a red-orange body with a cream underside from his chest to the tip of his tail which had a flame on the end of it. This form had a long neck with a rectangle like head with two horns on the back of the head with the tip not sharp. He also had bat/dragon-like wings with spikes on top of them with the center of the wings being dark blue. His eyes were still emerald green though but it was clear as day he was not a Hedgehog and was a Charizard?

At the same time Ash and Pikachu arrived at the scene and look around to what's going and soon saw all the Pokemon in a fighting stance at Sonic who was looking at the lake which confuses Ash even more. He walks to Tracey who was also watching this from a safe distance,

"Tracey, what's going on?" Tracey looks at Ash and responds to Ash's question, "Not sure. All I know for sure Charizard is acting up." Ash walks towards Charizard with Pikachu in toe ready to defend Ash if Charizard tries to attack Ash. When Ash got close he saw Sonic had a look of shock, confusion, and realization rolled into some kind of Burrito, now thinking that Ash felt hungry but he ignores it, "Charizard what's wrong?" Sonic snaps out and look at Ash he knew this kid but also don't at the same time, this hurt his head thinking about how it makes sense if it does or not. But one he knew for a fact this was his trainer which means he was forced to do what this kid says. Sonic rather die than do that as he grabs Ash by his throat with one of his claws and lifts him up he stands up,

"Now listen here you little shit I'm not your Pokemon or Charizard or anything. I'm my own person." Ash tries to get free from Charizard's grasp, "Charizard where is this coming from?" Ash was worried it might be happening due to him not being the best trainer he could be which he could not blame him in that case since he could have done leagues better in the Vertress Conference. All Ash's Pokemon prepares to attack but wanted a clean shot so as not to hurt Ash in the process. Then a black and purple sphere flew and hit Sonic knocking him out and into sleep letting of Ash in the process. Sonic was about to fall into the lake but Ash stops him from doing that and causes him to fall on his side. What of his Pokemon did that? If it was one of his Pokemon. Ash looked up and saw the one that attacked Charizard was, in fact, a Darkrai which only means,

"Hello Ash, long time no see." said the winner of Lilly of the Valley Conference, Tobias the trainer with Legendary Pokemon. Ash wonders why he was here, "Why are you here? Tobias returns to his Darkrai and answers Ash's question, "I saw your performance in the Vertress Conference. I wanted to see if your match against me while back was a fluke." Ash could not blame him for thinking that, "I assure you it wasn't and I can prove it." Ash said determine but the confidence in what he said was a 7/10 at best. Ash grabs Charizard's Poke Ball and returns him to it before tossing it to Tracey who already knew what to do with it as he ran back to bring it to Oak. Ash had a fight with Tobias and a chance to prove his victory over his Darkrai was not unearned.
