To answer a couple of questions I've received.

There is a part of me that wants to have Cardin more involved with the story. But the problem is that I don't know enough about him to justify something like that. I can make as many character changes as I can. But I want to try to stay as consistent to canon as I possibly can. Despite the changes I'll make to the characters and the lore.

I am in full support of a series that works to redeem/reform a bully. The best example I can think of is Cobra Kai. So it is possible for Cardin to get that treatment. But Cardin's own personal story has to be expanded further within RWBY canon. So I can know what I'm working with. Though if RWBY canon messes things up with Cardin then I can pick it up from there and divert further.

It is possible for Cardin to appear in future chapters. But I can't promise anything.

Chapter 56 What to do now?

(Vale Hospital)

It has been a few days since the day that many people are calling the Fall of Beacon. Even though the situation is under control for the most part. The situation is still less than idea and everything is still a mess. For starters, the Communications Tower is down and as a result. Vale has lost contact with the other Kingdoms. Another thing that's adding to the problem is that despite the Grimm Wyvern being frozen at the top of the tower. It is still attracting the Grimm making things harder for everyone.

After doing everything he can, Jin has found himself spending a good deal of time at the Hospital that is still functioning after everything that happened. Though Jin himself isn't injured. He is still distraught at the state his family is in. Thanks to Amane, Celica was able to be admitted into the Hospital along with those that are in dire need of treatment. Though making things unpleasant is that Celica hasn't woken up for the few days. Aside from the weak heartbeat that she has, there is very little indication that she's still alive. Saya hasn't stopped crying for the past few days either. Though the young girl is happy that her brother Jin is still alive. Celica's condition hasn't improved at all. After a few hours, Saya ended up falling asleep and is sleeping comfortably, despite spending many hours crying.

As Jin was in the Hospital room with his sister and mother figure. Aside from the worry of whether or not Celica would wake up. A single question has continued to plague his mind. That question is, "How and why did this all happen?". Jin knew that the power of the Maidens is the reason for all of this destruction. But like many truths to the world, there was a lot more to it. Could there be more to the Maidens than just an exceptional boost in power. Or is there some hidden truth to it that only Ozpin and those within his inner circle knows about. Until Jin could get all the information from those within Ozpin's inner circle. The only thing Jin could do was speculate.

For the term of why did things go wrong, Jin has a few ideas that's less vague. Jin suspected that there was something strange going on since he came to Beacon. But he couldn't figure out the specifics since he didn't know anything. There was one thing that was clear and its that there was a connection between Cinder and the White Fang. On the part of the White Fang, a part of him was suspicious of Blake due to her hiding her connection to the White Fang. Yet another part of him places some fault to team RWBY for failing to stop the Grimm Breach and making things easier for Cinder and her allies.

Yet from what Jin knows and believes, team RWBY is not to blame for things going wrong the way they did. Everything that happened took a lot of time and planning. Making allies of Roman and his criminal connections, as well as the White Fang. None of this happened overnight. Everything that occurred, Cinder was prepared for and there is still a significant chance that she could have more allies that they don't know about.

Though for his family getting hurt the way they did, Jin has an idea of who to blame for that ordeal. Jin is angry at Jaune for failing to help his family and at Nora for her statement. But the more Jin thought about it, they weren't to blame for any of it. Nora was right in her statement. The students were determined to fight against the Grimm and White Fang that were attacking the school. So it wasn't entirely fair for Jin to add more to their responsibilities.

For Jaune, Jin can't really get angry at him. Because he knows that Jaune did the best he could. But it was always in Celica's nature to help people whenever she could. Jin figured that it would take a lot of people to stop Celica from doing what she wanted. Though the good-natured woman knew the risks, she went through with it proudly.

Seeing Celica in her coma and Saya cry her eyes out for her. Had required Jin to put things in perspectives. A chance to be adopted by a noble family of Atlus and go further with his life was a splendid opportunity that he was happy to accept. But it also made Jin wonder what more he could have done to stay in touch with them. Jin was the one to keep contact in a bare minimum. Though he was busy with his studies, he could have easily multitasked or make time for his family. But as things are, Jin may never get the chance to make things right.

Yet for all of his thoughts for his regrets, he also has a growing anger for his brother. Ragna was the one who provoked Cinder into going after their family. He was also the one to have that power that killed many people. Jin is fully aware of the fact that Ragna came to him for help. But he is aware that Ragna came to him for help only after the threat was made. While Jin thought more about the situation, it felt like Ragna coming to him for help felt more like an after-thought. The more Jin thought about it, the more he blames his brother Ragna for Celica being in this state. As Jin was in thought about the current situation, a familiar individual walked in the hospital room. When Jin looked to see who entered, it was Weiss.

"Jin." Weiss said as she was hugging her boyfriend

"I'm so glad that your OK." Weiss said before she sat down besides him

"Thank you Weiss, but the truth is . . . . I'm not. Especially after seeing Sister Celica like this. The truth is, I share some of the fault for all of this." Jin told Weiss in a slightly distraught tone

"Jin, you can't say that, none of this is . . ." Weiss said before Jin interrupted by speaking up

"I can Weiss, I should have been more attentive to what's going on in the Kingdom. If I'd have paid more attention or at the very least stood by my family. Then they wouldn't have been hurt like this. It wasn't right or fair for me to trust other people to protect my family when I should have done it myself." Jin told Weiss with anger and distraught in his voice

"Jin, this isn't your fault and we both know it. When everything started to go wrong you fought like the rest of us. You did the best you could for Vale and Beacon and nobody is faulting you for that. Besides, if anyone has to hare the blame in all of this its Ragna." Weiss said getting Jin's attention

"What do you mean Weiss?" Jin asked in a curious tone at Weiss statement

"While me and Yang were fighting the Grimm. We ended up going within Beacon and saw Ragna with Cinder and Nu. When we were about to confront Cinder, she showed us a video and told us that Ragna knew about Cinder for months. She escaped but we confronted Ragna about it. He didn't lie, he told us that what Cinder said is true." Weiss said while trying to contain her anger at what happened that day

"I see." Jin said before Weiss continued

"There's more to it, me and Yang gave Ragna a chance to bring in Nu and make things right with us but he refused. His reason is that he doesn't trust the General and he chose to fight us. As we were fighting, Nu attacked and cut off Yang's arm. Ragna just left, but not before I told him that he didn't belong at Beacon." Weiss said while Jin listened intensely

"Ragna should have turned her in. The girl was a threat and knew about Cinder as well as her potential allies. He had a golden opportunity to make things easier for us and he just threw it away. I can't believe that idiot." Jin said with frustration

"Jin, I'm sorry. When you asked me if you should trust Ragna I told you yes. But if I'd have known that he would have done this. I would have told you not to do it. Especially knowing how he hurt you so much." Weiss said which got more of Jin's attention

"What do you mean Weiss?" Jin asked in a curious tone

"Yang told me about Ragna putting you in danger when you two were kids. Then Ragna told us that he kept secrets from you also. Despite you wanting to try and make things between you two. You trusted him, gave him a chance and he lied to you. Like he lied to all of us." Weiss briefly explained to Jin

"I see, so that's what he told you." Jin said as he realized what Ragna said in an effort to shield Jin from the blame for getting him involved

"I spoke to Yang for a bit before she went home. Her and Ragna were close friends and with everything that's happened she's taking it really hard. How is sister Celica and Saya doing?" Weiss asked in a concerned tone

"She has a heartbeat and she's breathing but its all faint. There's nothing more the doctors can do for her. Saya just cried for a while hoping that she'll wake up." Jin answered while having thoughtful look on his face

"I'm so sorry Jin." Weiss said in a sympathetic tone, as the two were in the room together. A male has entered the room and when the two looked to see who entered, they saw an older man with white hair and a moustache. When Weiss took at the man, she had a brief look of anger on her face but quickly maintained a neutral look.

"Hello father." Weiss said to her father Jacques Schnee

"Weiss my dear, I'm glad to see you're here safe and sound." Weiss said before he turned to look at Jin

"Young Kisaragi, its been too long since we last saw each other. I'm confident when I say that we're all glad to see your safe as well as my daughter." Jacques told Jin causing him to look at the older man as well

"Would you care to tell us what your doing here?" Jin asked knowing that Jacques likely has an ulterior motive for being there

"Very well, I'll get straight to the point. I saw what happened and I'm bring you two back to Atlus." Jacques said which surprised the two students

"But father, we're needed here so we can help the people recovering." Weiss said before her father cut her off

"I saw the broadcast of the Atlus mech soldiers attacking the people and the students. As well as that beast killing a lot of people. It is clear to me that Vale has become too dangerous with the Grimm and you must be brought back. Well both you, Jin and the others to be precise." Jacques said which surprised Weiss even further

"What do you mean father?" Weiss asked in a curious tone before Jacques turned to Jin

"I'm not here alone, the head of the Yayoi household has come with me and brought back Tsubaki. Before I left, your family has made it clear that they want you to come back to Atlus." Jacques briefly explained

"Was it really necessary for them to ask you to bring me back?" Jin asked in a frustrated tone

"With the Fall of Beacon shocking so many people to its core. The people of Atlus who sent their children to Beacon would naturally want their children to return home. After all, no parents in their right minds would send their own family into danger so carelessly. Which reminds me, I would like to congratulate you on your title of being the Hero of Vale." Jacques said which angered Jin

"You know the state Beacon is in. Do you really think it's a good idea to call me that knowing how I failed?" Jin said angrily to the older man

"Jin, you must not start to second guess yourself and question your worth. Before coming here, I spoke to some influential people of Atlus and your name naturally came up. Rest assured, nobody blames you for what happened. If anything, we should be thanking you for stopping that Beast and preventing a situation from becoming worst. Though it did surprise some of us that the Beast of Remnant is your brother. It can merely be chalked up as propaganda to bring down your good name since it can't be proven." Jacques said angering both Jin and Weiss

"Father, this isn't the time to be worrying about titles and faults. We need to . . . ." Weiss said before Jin cut her off by speaking up

"Mr. Schnee, do you know if General Ironwood is still nearby?" Jin asked with a bold gaze

"I believe I saw him near the docks, but I don't know how much longer she'll still be here in Vale. With everything that's going on, I suspect he'll want to return to Atlus as soon as possible." Jacques answered Jin

"Then there before I speak to him, there is something I need you to do for me." Jin said before he brought out a piece of paper

"I know that bringing me back will earn you some favors with my family. But there is something I need to do. But for now, you need to take my little sister in my stead. My family occasionally contacts sister Celica, so they should be aware of the fact that I have a sister. If you can assure me that you will bring Saya to my family as a personal favor for me. Then there is no doubt that this will please them." Jin said causing Jacques to think for a moment

"Well, I supposed if that is what you truly want. Then I will do as you ask, which is as you say a personal favor to you. Your family will be very disappointed in this decision, I hope you have a good explanation for them." Jacques told Jin calmly

"The letter will explain everything to them sir. Just bring Saya to my adopted family and give them the letter." Jin told the older man with a strong gaze

"I understand, your old enough to make your own decisions and I will respect your wishes and do as you say." Jacques said before he turned to Weiss

"But you don't have such options Weiss. I must insist that you come back home in Atlus." Jacques said causing Weiss to think for a second.

"Father, I'll return home but I need to speak with Jin first. Our talk won't be too long." Weiss said causing Jacques to think for a second before speaking

"Very well Weiss, see to it that it doesn't take too long." Jacques said before he left the room

"Jin, why aren't you coming back to Atlus? Do you even have a plan for what to do now?" Weiss asked in a concerned tone

"The broadcast said that they came from Mistral. It's not much but something I can work with in terms of an investigation." Jin answered to a surprised Weiss

"You can't go after the people that did this. Their able to cause the fall of Beacon, which means that their very dangerous. This isn't a mission from school you can get killed." Weiss told Jin in a concerned tone

"They are still out there, I can't allow them to do as they please knowing the things I know." Jin said but quickly realize his slipup

"Jin what do you mean by that?" Weiss asked Jin causing him to think for a moment

"Weiss, there are a few things I've learned recently. One of the things I've learned is that with the Fall of Beacon. The other four Kingdoms are in more danger than anyone realize. I don't know the full extent but I have to do something." Jin told Weiss with his mind made up on what to do

"Jin, I don't want anything to happen to you. Things are already bad enough and me having to go back to my father is infuriating and depressing. But the thought of losing you is . . . please come back with me." Weiss told Jin in a pleading tone

"I'm sorry Weiss, but if you know that the world is suffering. Would you stand by and do nothing? I have to take a stand against the evils of the world." Jin told Weiss with a strong sense of resolve

"Then, be safe Jin. But stay alive so you can come back. I'll also make sure your sister Saya will make it to your family safely. But what about sister Celica?" Weiss asked Jin

"I have a plan for her, but I have to get to the General before he leaves." Jin said before him and Weiss kissed each other. Before Jin went too far, he thought for a moment and decided to speak further to Weiss

"Weiss, there's something I have to tell you. I know why Ragna lied to everyone and it involves our family, including me." Jin said before he started to tell Weiss everything

(Ruby's Home)

After having such an intense ordeal, it would be understandable for Ruby to be very tired. Once Ruby's uncle and father made sure that she was settled. Her father Taiyang stood by her side making sure that she was safe. After a good deal of time has passed, Ruby was able to wake up exhausted and weakened. Fortunately, Taiyang was able to notice Ruby waking up and is glad about it.

"Ruby." Taiyang said excitedly

"Dad, what happened and how long was I out?" Ruby asked weakly

"Your uncle Qrow found you, its been a few days but I'm glad your OK." Taiyang said in a happy tone causing Ruby to have a sudden realization

"Yang, is she OK?" Ruby asked in a panicked tone before her father calmed her down

"Yang is . . . . fine, but its going to take her some time for her to adjust to things. Your friend, I think her name is Makoto. She's been staying with us for a few days and stood by Yang's side since she was brought back. Yang too strong for this to keep her down. But I'm grateful for Makoto being here, Yang really needs a friend right about now." Taiyang told Ruby causing her to have a crestfallen look on her face

"I remember what happened at the tower. Dad, I know what happened to mom. It was Terumi, he was the one who killed her." Ruby said before she started to cry

"I'm so sorry, just get some rest. We can talk about that later, but I'm glad that my girls are back home." Taiyang said before she wiped his eyes

"What happened to Ragna, he was at the top of the tower with me. The school and Vale, were they able to clear out the Grimm?" Ruby asked in a worried tone

"Qrow only told me that he brought you back while you were unconscious. As for the Vale, everything is under control for the most part. But the school is a much more complicated situation. You did a number on that Grimm but its not dead, its just frozen. But its still attracting the Grimm and a lot of people are worried about that Beast that killed so many people. Before the broadcast ended, we all saw who the beast is." Taiyang told Ruby

"Dad, what do you mean I did a number on that Grimm?" Ruby asked in a confused tone

"I . . . . look that Grimm, the situation with the school and Ragna. That's not important right now. What is important is you resting up and healing. Things are kind of a mess right now." Taiyang told Ruby

"That's kind of an understatement. Mind if we have a minute?" Qrow asked getting the attention of Ruby and Taiyang

"What, I can't be here with my own daughter?" Taiyang asked in a frustrated tone

"Tai, I know how you feel but please." Qrow said causing Taiyang to breath in reluctance

"I'm glad your OK Ruby, I'll go make us some tea." Taiyang said before he left after giving Qrow a brief stare. After Taiyang left, Qrow pulled up a chair and sat near Ruby

"I heard what you told Tai, did Terumi really kill Summer?" Qrow asked in a worried tone

He said it himself, if it wasn't for the fact that we were in danger I would have . . . ." Ruby said before she started to cry at the news that Terumi killed her mother

"Take it easy kiddo, I hate to say it. But that sounds just like how Jubei described him." Qrow said getting Ruby's attention

"What do you mean uncle Qrow?" Ruby asked

"While I was rescuing you, Jubei was the one who rescued Ragna. On our way to the tower, Jubei told me that Terumi is a sadistic monster who loves bringing people despair. His semblance which is called Negativity doesn't help things either. That day was just full of surprises, first everyone is calling Ragna the Black Beast reborn or the Beast of Remnant. Then you used your special power to deal with that Grimm." Qrow said which confused Ruby further

"You and dad said that I did something but I don't even know what I did." Ruby said to Qrow causing the older man to lean closer to Ruby

"When you first met Ozpin, what was the first thing he said to you?" Qrow asked in a more serious tone

"I barely remember, I think he said something about my . . . ." Ruby said before Qrow interrupted her

"Your silver eyes, that's an extremely rare trait Ruby. Remnant is full of stories of legend, some true, many are exaggerated. There is a story about silver eyes that Ozpin told me a long time ago. The gist of it is that those who have silver eyes are destined to live the life of a warrior. The creatures of Grimm, the deadliest creatures of the world are afraid of the silver-eyes warriors. The very same eyes that your mother has." Qrow told Ruby explaining his knowledge of the silver eyes

"Back at the arena, I remember using my silver eyes against Ragna when he used that power. Do you think that it could do anything against the Black Beast?" Ruby asked in a curious tone

"I don't know Ruby, but its safe to say that it doesn't from the look of things. Something's been set in motion. With Ozpin missing, I have to pick up where he left off. All those missions I've been on has been for him." Qrow briefly explained to Ruby

"What can I do to help, if something's been set in motion than I want to help as much as I can." Ruby told Qrow

"If you want to help, get some rest. You're in no condition to go anywhere right now. Besides, the trail leads all the way back to Mistral and I doubt a pipsqueak like you could make the trip." Qrow said before he left Ruby's room

(Moments Later)

After speaking with Ruby, Qrow had to walk outside to get a drink and reflect on a few things. Dropping that hint about Mistral was necessary, because he knows she'll make her way their once she's fully recovered. Qrow was able to process everything he learned after being part of Ozpin's inner circle. But the things he's learned in the span of a few hours the day Beacon fell was something else entirely. For starters, the Aura Beast that has almost destroyed Remnant. It was a major surprise that the beast's real name is the Black Beast. Adding to the realization of the Black is Ragna. The power that was displayed surpassed anything Qrow has seen before, even compared to a fully skilled Maiden. The more Qrow thought about it. The more he suspects that maybe Ragna does have the power of the Black Beast.

"Her pawn being the new fall Maiden. Ragna having the power of the Black Beast. Looks like I earned my drink today." Qrow said before he took a drink from his flask

"It's not often someone can keep a level head after drinking as much as you do. Especially when their a Huntsman. But technically your off the clock, so I can't give you grief over what you do." A gruff voice said which surprised Qrow. When he looked to see who spoke, he saw that it was Jubei

"Not often someone can sneak up on me. But given that your one of the six heroes. I supposed its to be expected. Now what are you doing here?" Qrow asked before he put his flask away

"I did tell you that I would tell you everything I know about what's going on. I keep my word and with everything going on the time for secrets is over." Jubei told Qrow

"You did say that, so what shall we start with?" Qrow asked Jubei

"How about we talk about where there's no one around to eavesdrop." Jubei said before he looked at the Raven that was nearby. With Qrow doing the same thing and saw the Raven as well. After the both of them saw the Raven, they were enveloped in a shroud of darkness and a whirlwind of roses

(Rose Garden)

After a brief second have passed, both Qrow and Jubei appeared among the Rose Garden. Qrow was surprised at what happened and spent some time observing the area and noticed that he is in a very unfamiliar location. He sees a gate and a large castle which is something out of a story. When he looked further, he saw a young girl drinking tea at a table with a large can and a red bat. They were accompanied by an old man and they barely noticed Qrow and Jubei

"Where am I?" Qrow asked as he grabbed his weapon Harbinger

"Where in a location that's not exactly part of Remnant Qrow. You could say that the girl over there is technically my benefactor." Jubei told Qrow in a calm tone

"It seems that the standards for being a Huntsman is dropping at an alarming rate Valkenhayn. Especially if there willing to let those who reek of alcohol carry such an burden." Rachel said as she was sipping her tea which Qrow heard

"Look brat, if you have something to say. Then have the backbone to say it to my face. Besides, I don't have to take that from a disrespectful brat like you." Qrow said as he started to approach Rachel

"Princess, his breath reeks of so much alcohol I can smell it from here." Gii said after Qrow spoke

"The smell of alcohol is strong, but I can't deny those rugged good looks." Nago said which creeped out Qrow for a bit

"My apologies milady, I should have informed Jubei to make sure his friend learned some manners." Valkenhayn said in an apologetic tone which annoyed Qrow

"Hey, don't talk as if I'm not here. Now tell me what this is all about or stop wasting my time." Qrow said before the handle on Rachel's teacup broke.

"Oh dear, it seems Valkenhayn has allowed you to use a broken teacup." Nago said in a teasing tone

"Valkenhayn is not to blame for this. The fault lies solely in Jubei's alcoholic guest. His semblance is bad luck and it doesn't discriminate between friend and foe. Though I myself am protected by it. The materials I use is a different story. Though maybe if he worked on his semblance as he does drink, he might have found a better way to control it." Rachel said which angered Qrow

"You know what you little brat . . . ." Qrow said before he started to approach Rachel, only to be stopped by Jubei

"Qrow, this is how she always is. So don't let her get to you, it doesn't look like it but she's a lot stronger than she looks. She makes the maidens look like amateurs by comparison. Besides, if you get any closer, I doubt Valkenhayn would let you walk out of here alive." Jubei told Qrow before he turned to Rachel

"Rachel, I know that talking down on people is one of your worst habits. But this one time, can you at least watch yourself. You know what happened to Vale and Qrow is a part of Ozpin's inner circle. We need to tell him everything, the stuff we told Ozpin and the stuff he doesn't know. From what we saw, its clear that Terumi is working with Salem." Jubei said which caused Qrow to have a focused look on his face

"Very well, given that the drunkard had a few stressful days recently. It's only appropriate that he is brought up to speed about certain aspects of Remnant." Rachel said before she turned to Qrow

"My name is Rachel Alucard, these are my familiars Nago ad Gii. My trusted butler is Valkenhayn R. Hellsing. One of the Six Heroes of legend." Rachel said giving the introductions

"As much as I want to enjoy this meet n greet. I still need to know what's going on here. So how about we cut the small talk and get to the point. For starters, how is it that you know about Ozpin's inner war involving Salem." Qrow said in a demanding tone

"I'll field that one Qrow, I had a run-in with one of her followers and learned a few things. Rachel told me about Ozpin and I worked my way from there. Initially, I thought that Terumi and Salem were doing their own thing separately from each other. So we agreed to keep each other informed if we learned something that could affect the other. But little did I realize, they were working together and that put a wrench on a few things." Jubei explained to Qrow while the veteran Huntsman paid attention before speaking

"Then what about that broadcast the day Ragna went berserk. Was what that announcer said about the Beast is true?" Qrow asked Jubei causing him to have a guilty look

"It's true Qrow, the Aura Beast's real name is the Black Beast. Also the Aura Weapons real name is the Nox Nyctores. The kingdoms saw to that themselves. But since it'll prevent people from trying to replicate the creation of the weapons. We decided it was best to let them have the name change. Besides, we were focused on trying to stay alive." Jubei explained to Qrow

"Then why did the announcer say that Ragna has the power of the Black Beast?" Qrow asked mentally prepared for anything that Jubei will say

"That's a bit of a long story that requires a lot of details to go over. But we'll start things off with simple details. For starters, what if I was to tell you that, the Black Beast is still technically alive?" Jubei asked causing Qrow to stumble for a bit

"Then I would realize that we have much bigger problems than I thought." Qrow responded before he took a drink of his flask

"There's a lot of things I have to tell you Qrow. The story of the Black Beast is one of them. I also have to tell you about several interesting topics. I have to tell you about the Black Beast, Terumi, the Murakumo Labs, and last but most certainly not least. You have to know about the three Azures." Jubei said before he started to explain things to Qrow

(Yang's Room)

So much has happened to Yang in such a short amount of time. Her humiliation during the tournament was already bad enough. But the events that soon followed has changed everything. Yang has fought valiantly against both the Grimm and the White Fang that attacked the school. But despite as such, a different situation occurred that surprised Yang greatly and it involves Ragna.

Ever since Yang arrived at Beacon, she found herself being fast friends with Ragna. As the two spent more time together, they started to trust each other more and more. Which includes confiding with each other their biggest regrets from their past. But the realization that Ragna has lied to her was painful in many ways. Making things worse is that Yang gave Ragna the chance to make things right by turning in the girl that's connected to the Fall of Beacon. But by choosing to protect Nu, Ragna has abandoned her and made his choice against her.

To add insult to injury, the very girl that Ragna has fought both her and Weiss to protect. Was the one to cut her arm off and escaped after doing so. But what made that moment stand out even further is that before Nu made her attack. Yang moved Ragna out of the way to save him and took the full attack. The attack not only cost Yang her arm, but she also lost consciousness. Once Yang woke up, she was brought up to speed about everything by both her father and Makoto. After she was informed, Makoto stood by her side while Yang was in deep thought about everything that happened.

"You've been strangely quiet for the past few days Yang. Are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" Makoto asked in a concerned tone

"I'm sure Makoto, it's just going to take some time to adjust." Yang told Makoto while looking at her now lost arm. While thinking about the cause of it

"Yang, Makoto." Ruby said once she took a look inside Yang's room

"I'll give you two some privacy." Makoto said before she left Yang's side. Once she got closer to Ruby, she whispered in her ear

"We'll talk later Ruby." Makoto told Ruby in a low tone before she left.

"Yang, I'm so glad your OK." Ruby said as she gave Yang a hug

"I'm glad you're here, but I'm not OK." Yang said before both her and Ruby looked at the missing arm with a shared crestfallen look

"It's all gone, the school, Penny, Pyrrha. So many people died and there's nothing we can do about it." Yang said in a depressed tone

"Do you know what happened to Weiss and Blake?" Ruby asked

"The only thing I know is that Weiss was taken to the hospital in Vale. So many families are coming to bring the students back home. The last thing the world saw was the Atlus soldiers attacking so many people. I wouldn't be surprised if Weiss's family come and bring her back." Yang explained to Ruby

"What about Blake?" Ruby asked

"She just left, I heard that she did what she does best and just ran. Nobody knows who to trust and instead of standing by us, she just ran like she always does." Yang said in a tone that's mixed with anger and sadness

"I heard from Weiss that someone Ragna tried to help was the one who cut your arm off. Please, tell me what happened." Ruby said causing Yang to think for a second before her eyes turned red from rage

"Ruby, I don't ever want to hear that name again for as long as I live." Yang said with a lot of anger in her voice

"But, what could have possibly happened for . . ." Ruby said before Yang cut her off

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT RUBY! That bastard made his choice helping that monster and look what she did to me. He should have been on our side, or at least told me the truth. But he just lied and did whatever he wanted." Yang said voicing her anger at Ragna

"So what happens now?" Ruby asked in a worried tone

"Do what you want, I'm just going to lie down here. Just leave me alone." Yang said causing Ruby to leave before turning to her sister

"I love you." Ruby said before she left Yang alone

(The Living Room)

After Ruby left, she decided to take a brief walk to think about a few things. Once she's been brought up to speed about everything that happened. She fully understood how much of a mess everything is. Losing Beacon, her friends, also learning about how The Kingdoms were against the Six Heroes and didn't care about the lives of the people. Not to mention that many parts of history has been a lie. A lot of this was so much for Ruby to take in and she needed time to process this. Including the fact that one of the Six Heroes, Yuuki Terumi. Was the one who killed her mother and is responsible for breaking apart her family. Ruby knew that she needed to spend time to process everything. So she decided to go and get a snack to help her think. As she was going to the kitchen, she came across Makoto drinking some tea.

Hey Makoto." Ruby told Makoto getting her attention

"Hi Ruby, I'm glad to see that your up and about. But not as glad your father when he realized your still alive." Makoto said as Ruby was sitting on the chair near her

"So, things are pretty bad huh?" Ruby asked knowing Makoto's likely response

"Failing our tests is bad, this is worse by far. I don't even know how we can recover from this." Makoto said as she drank more tea and thought about everything that happened.

"I don't know everything that happened. But surely you must know something. The only thing I know is that Ragna had something to do with ang losing her arm. Please tell me something that you might know." Ruby said in a pleading tone causing Makoto to sigh in defeat

"Alright, I'll tell you everything that I know. Before coming here to Patch Island, I ran into Yang at the hospital. Weiss was visiting her and she told me everything that happened. I stayed with Yang as she was being brought back and Yang told me what happened too and confirmed everything." Makoto briefly explained before drinking more tea and started to talk further

"Ragna was suspicious of Cinder for several months as far as before the Grimm breach happened. Cinder has a video confirming it and Ragna eventually confessed. Yang gave Ragna a chance to turn in Nu but he fought both her and Weiss in order to prevent them from bringing Nu to Ironwood." Makoto explained to Ruby

"No, but how can . . . . I mean why would he . . ." Ruby said before Makoto spoke further

"There's more, while Ragna was fighting Yang and Weiss, Nu woke up and suddenly attacked. Yang moved Ragna out the way but Nu ended up cutting off her arm in the process before escaping. To say that Yang is hurt and angry at Ragna would be a bit of an understatement." Makoto told Ruby finishing the explanation of what happened

"Makoto how do you feel about what happened?" Ruby asked in a worried tone

"To be honest, I know how Yang feels and understand perfectly. To trust someone emotionally and not get it back in turn is just painful. But at the same time, all we know is that Ragna fought to protect Nu. We don't even know his side of the story and from what we do know of Ragna. There's no way he would do something like this without a good reason. Even if it did mean fighting against his friends." Makoto said as she was drinking her tea

"Makoto, there's something I have to tell you about Ragna it's that . . . ." Ruby said before she thought about telling Makoto what she knew about Ragna being related to Nu. Thought Ruby knows that telling Makoto and Yang would make things easier for Ragna in terms of mending the relationships. But the problem is that Ragna still did what he did likely before learning that truth. Besides, Ruby felt it wasn't her secret to tell and for all she knew, Terumi could be lying just to get in Ragna's head.

"Ragna was at the top of the tower with me. If it wasn't for him, Cinder and Terumi would have killed me." Ruby said causing Makoto to think for a second.

"That must have been hard for you. I'm going to go and be with Yang for a while until I figure out what to do from here." Makoto said before she left after drinking her tea. Before she went too far, Ruby called out to her

"Makoto, thank you for standing by Yang. With everything that's happened, I sure she'll be happy to be with a friend right now." Ruby said in a grateful tone

"At this point, you guys are like family to me. So no thanks are needed Ruby." Makoto responded as she was leaving. But before she went too far, Makoto spoke further

"Ruby, I get the feeling that you don't hate Ragna as much as Yang does. In fact, I suspect that you'll want to try to mend things. So here's a tip from me if that's what you plan on doing. Ragna may have his reason for lying and fighting his friends. But the bottom line is that he still hurt the people who trusted him. It's easy to break trust, but its hard to build it back up. So if you want to help Ragna rebuild the trust that's been broken. Then understand that he has a lot of work to do and some people are less forgiving than others. He'll need all the help, and all the friends he can get." Makoto said before she went back to Yang

"Friends, hmm." Ruby thought to herself

(Yang's Room)

Once Makoto got back to Yang's room, the two were still together as much as possible. Makoto did the best she could to brighten Yang's spirit. But she knows that with everything that happened. Yang is not in the best of moods or doesn't have it in her to do anything. There is a part of Makoto that wants to tell Yang to not be so hard on Ragna. But personally, she knows that what Ragna did is something that can't be easily excused and knows that Ragna messed up severely.

"Yang, I'm glad to see that your feeling better. I know that it's been tough these past couple of days. But it's good to see that your hanging in there." Makoto said as she was stretching which caught Yang's attention

"Well with your sister awake and your dad in better spirits. I think its time for me to go, there's nothing more for me to do here and I don't want to risk being a burden to you guys with everything going on." Makoto said while Yang gave her a surprised look before Makoto spoke up again

"Now don't give me that look Yang. I know the communication system is still down. But I'll still find a way to visit you. It's not like I'll disappear forever and we're still friends." Makoto told Yang. As she was making a motion to leave, Yang grabbed Makoto's arm and held a firm grip

"Please Makoto, don't leave me." Yang said as she was struggling to hold back tears

"Yang I . . . ." Makoto said before Yang spoke up

"Please, I lost my friends, Ragna betrayed me. Before Beacon fell the world thought of me as nothing but a thug. You're the only person who stood by my side when everything was going wrong and still supported me. I'll think of something to tell my dad, so please just stay." Yang pleaded as she was crying.

After hearing Yang's plea, Makoto stopped for a few seconds to think. After a few moments have passed, Makoto started to approach Yang and got closer to her. While the two girls were close to each other. They stared intensely into each other's eyes and there were many thoughts and emotions behind each of their gaze. The seconds felt like hours and before any of them realized it. They both proceeded to lean towards each other. Once the two got close, both Makoto and Yang started to kiss each other passionately. The kiss lasted a few seconds until they both stopped and looked at each other. Makoto proceeded to touch Yang's head with hers and the two shared a smile.

"Alright Yang, I'll stay here for you." Makoto said with Yang smiling in response

"Thank you, Makoto." Yang responded before the two kissed each other again. Unknown to the both of them, Taiyang was standing outside the door near the frame. As he heard everything that happened between Yang and Makoto. Taiyang did nothing but smiled at the moment and decided to sneak away quietly to make sure he doesn't unintentionally ruin it.

"Thank you for standing by her side Makoto. She really needs someone right now." Taiyang thought to himself as he was sneaking away

(Several Hours Later)

Even though Ruby had recovered and it is very late outside, she is having trouble sleeping. Part of it is because she felt that she slept for too long after the Fall of Beacon. Another part of it is because she is still thinking about what happened. Everything that happened to her friends. The massive fallout between Ragna and Yang. The CCT falling and the Grimm that are still coming to the school. Not to mention the fact that Ruby learned a lot from Terumi. Including but not limited to learning more details of the past regarding the Kingdoms being against the Six Heroes. But also that she was face to face with her mother's killer and was unable to fight him. Ruby was unable to sleep after experiencing so much and its easy to understand as much.

"Mom, I'm sorry." Ruby said to herself as she was laying down on her bed. As Ruby was in deep thought, a knock came on the window that got Ruby's attention. When Ruby looked at the window, she noticed that the only thing that was there was a note. Upon closer inspection, the note only had a simple message.

"Come outside." The note said before Ruby decided to do as it said while prepared for anything.

(Outside the House)

Ruby did as the note said and came outside prepared for anything. Once she was outside, she looked around looking for the person that left the note on her room window. She didn't know who to expect, but she was prepared for a fight. Thanks to her idea of bringing Crescent Rose in case they were thieves looking to rob them. After looking around for a few seconds, a short figured jumped in front of her which surprised her. But when Ruby looked further, she saw that it was Jubei. An individual that is a welcomed sight.

"I know that knocking on your door is an option. But I suspected that given everything that happened during the Fall of Beacon. My presence wouldn't exactly be with opened arms." Jubei told Ruby in a calm tone

"What are you ding here?" Ruby asked in a curious and concerned tone

"Well, there was something I needed to talk to you about. I wanted to wait till you were outside and alone. But thanks to my sense of hearing, I knew you were awake and decided to send the note. This works out better for us, since our conversation is more likely to be private. Don't get the wrong idea, I wasn't doing anything indecent like spying or peeping. My wife would kill me from beyond the grave if I try anything like that." Jubei briefly explained to Ruby

"So, why would you want to talk to me?" Ruby asked maintaining her tone from before

"Because you were at the top of the tower with Ragna. He told me everything that Terumi said to the both of you. So I figured that I owe you an explanation to a few things given the circumstances. Ragna himself insisted on it." Jubei told Ruby answering her question

"So what Terumi said about the Kingdoms being against all of you. Even the part about him killing my mom. Is any part of that true?" Ruby asked as she braced herself for the response

"To say that Terumi is a monster would be an understatement even compared to the Grimm. But the most ironic part about him is that he doesn't lie. He'll leave out certain details, but he won't lie. Especially if it's a chance to bring down people's spirits. The way he told you that he killed you mother. He made a similar boast to me when he killed my wife. I'm sorry to say it Ruby, but everything Terumi said is true. Even the facts about the Black Beast and the Nox Nyctores." Jubei told Ruby causing the young girl to have a sad look on her face at what she's learned

"Then about Nu being Ragna's sister?" Ruby asked causing Jubei to take a deep breath

"I've seen those labs several times in person. When Ragna told me that Terumi mentioned that detail. I decided to look into it for a while. I can confirm it myself thanks to my benefactor, Nu is Ragna's sister." Jubei confirmed causing Ruby to have a shocked look on her face at the confirmation of what she's learned. Before she steeled herself for more

"Jubei, that power Ragna used during the tournament. The same power that killed a lot of people. Even my friend Penny, do you know anything about it?" Ruby asked with a concerned look

"I know a few things about it Ruby. But I'm sorry to say but I can't tell you about that yet. Once I tell Ragna, I'll be more than happy to tell you as well. Ragna doesn't even know and he was less than thrilled about not knowing everything about what's going on. The only thing I can tell you about that power. Is that it is very dangerous and what you guys saw is a fraction of what its fully capable of." Jubei explained causing the young girl to have a worried look on her face at the revelation. So many students and teachers were barely able to survive the initial encounter against Beast-Ragna. Yet he was able to kill and attack so many people. If that power was any stronger, then the world would be in more danger than Ruby could have thought possible.

"Jubei, why are you here?" Ruby asked in a curious tone wondering about why the legendary warrior has come to her

"I just came with a simple request, nothing more than that." Jubeo said before he took a deep breath before speaking further

"I want you to forgive Ragna, I know it's a lot to ask given everything that happened. But Ragna shouldn't be hated for everything that he's done. If you want to hate anyone, then hate me all you want Ruby. It's only fair, I deserve it after all. If I were more vigilant, then Terumi would have never caused as much destruction and harm as he did. Ragna, along with the rest of the world is paying the price for my failings. Ragna did the things he did because he believed that he was doing the right thing. But he is still paying the price for my failings and its not fair that he should shoulder the hate of so many people. Because of something that was beyond his control. You have a right to be angry at Ragna for his decisions. But none of it would have happened if it wasn't for my lack of vigilance." Jubei explained to Ruby causing the young girl to approach him. The short Faunus was prepared to be yelled at. But what Ruby did surprised him. Ruby leaned down and gave Jubei a hug, while shedding tears of her own.

"It's not your fault Jubei, and I know that its not Ragna's fault either. I could never hate you two and I'm grateful that you've been working hard to protect the world. Despite everything you've lost and enured. Terumi turned out to be a monster. But heroes like you are the reason that I wanted to be a Huntress." Ruby told Jubei tearfully while hugging him

"Are you kidding me!?" An angry voice yelled getting Ruby's and Jubei's attention. When they looked to see who yelled. They both saw an angry Yang.

"Yang, I . . . ." Ruby said before Yang cut her off

"Do you think that its supposed to be this easy? That a few words of how sorry you are is enough to make the pain go away!?" Yang yelled causing Ruby to speak up

"But Yang, none of that was Ragna's fault. If you could let Jubei explain, you'll see that . ." Ruby said before Yang angrily cut her off again

"I heard the whole thing Ruby, even the part about how Nu is that bastard's sister! Ragna being related to that monster doesn't change damn a thing. I still lost an arm because of her, and Ragna still lied and abandoned me!" Yang yelled further but with red eyes this time

"But Yang . . . ." Ruby said before Jubei put his hand on her shoulder

"Let her speak Yang, I deserve this and then some." Jubei said listening to everything that Yang said calmly

"Ragna was your apprentice, so you knew about that power he had that killed so many people. But as if that wasn't bad enough, one of your own allies. Is responsible for breaking apart my family. THE SIX HEROES ARE NOTHING BUT A JOKE!" Yang yelled angrily at Jubei which surprised Ruby but the short Faunus took everything calmly, understanding her rage.

"Leave, don't ever come back." Yang said in a much lower volume this time

"Alright, if that's what you want." Jubei said calmly before he disappeared into the night. After Jubei left, Yang walked angrily back into the house. While Ruby looked on sadly before going inside after Yang

(Moments later)

Even though it hasn't been too long since the sisters went back inside the house. The air was tense between the two of them. Ruby is worried about everything that just happened. But Yang on the other hand was filled with anger. Yang overheard Ruby going outside and decided to stand nearby in case her sister needed help. It surprised Yang when it was Jubei that explained things to Ruby. But after hearing the explanation and his request to forgive Ragna. That is what set Yang's anger over the edge.

To Yang, it felt like Ruby and to a different extent Yang. Was being asked to let go of what Ragna has done. But the pain that Yang felt at both being lied to. As well as having to fight the guy who she once trusted with her life. The memory, pain, and anger is still fresh on her mind and she has no intention of letting it go. But for Ruby to be willing to forgive Ragna so easily. That made Yang much angrier and felt like an major insult to the injury.

"What is wrong with you Ruby? It's bad enough you listened to him, but your willing to let go of Ragna did to all of us. What he did to me!?" Yang yelled angrily at Ruby

"Yang, I know that Ragna has lied and fought you and Weiss. I'm also angry at him for lying to us the way he did and for hurting you. But that doesn't mean I have to hate him. Especially when we don't know his side of the story." Ruby told Yang in a pleading tone

"What does it matter to what his side of the story is? He knew that Cinder was up to something and lied to us about her. I trusted him, even defended him when people talked about him. Even after he went berserk and killed several people. But he couldn't even trust me of all people. Trusting him was the biggest mistake of my life." Yang stated to Ruby angrily

"Who are we to judge Ragna for his mistakes, Because don't forget that we've made mistakes too. When we went to do our investigation a few months ago. We caused a lot of collateral damage and almost died. When we went to Mountain Glenn, we failed to stop the Grimm Breach. Those mistakes are on us, but we need to learn from them and get better. Ragna messed up, but he deserves a chance to redeem himself." Ruby explained to Yang causing the older sister to get angry

"Why should I forgive Ragna when he did the one thing that he wasn't supposed to do. Why should I forgive that bastard, for causing me so much pain!?" Yang yelled angrily at Ruby

"BECAUSE HE'S OUR FRIEND! You've taught me that we never give up on our friends. I'm angry at Ragna too, but I don't hate him, and I'm not giving up on him." Ruby said causing the sisters to breath for a moment

"He can be your friend Ruby, but he's dead to me. If I ever see him again, I'll make sure he knows true pain." Yang said before she started to go back to her room

"I'm sorry Yang." Ruby said as she brought out her Scroll and looked at it before she started to make some calls. Hoping that the people she intends to contact is still in the Kingdom

(A month Later)

A great deal of time has passed by in what felt like an instant. Ruby spent some time not only recovering. But also getting as much training as she can for her intended mission. Ruby knows that if she decides to go through with it, then there is no turning back. Yet the young girl decided to proceed with her plans anyways. Knowing the danger that she'll be certain to face during her journey. After leaving her home, uncertain on when she'll return. She saw a familiar face waiting for her.

"Hi Ren." Ruby said in a happy tone

"It's good to see you Ruby. Are you certain that you want to do this?" Ren asked in a concerned tone

"Yeah, I'm certain that I want to do this. Thank you again for coming, both you and Nora." Ruby said in a grateful tone

"What are friends for Ruby, I know that we're up for whatever is waiting for us. But does he have to come with us?" Nora said as she was pointing at an individual who was standing nearby. When they all looked to see who was with them. They saw Jin, standing nearby waiting for them.

"Jin is an exceptionally skilled individual. I have no doubt that he will be of great help to us for our journey." Ren briefly explained to Nora

"Thank you for coming with us. I know Jaune asked you to come with us. But I appreciate your help all the same. I know things are a mess, but I still consider you the Hero of Vale." Ruby told Jin, happy to have his help

"I intended to go to Mistral anyways, when I heard of your expedition. I figured that this will make things easier in terms of navigation. While also make sure that neither of you do anything stupid." Jin said in a blunt tone

"Oh great, I'm looking forward to traveling with the icy swordsman already." Nora said with a great deal of sarcasm

"I'm sure you two will find a way to get along." Ren said with some optimism

"Haven's a long way to go." Ruby told everyone

"True, but it's the best lead we have. All paths lead somewhere and we should be able to learn something." Jin said with everyone agreeing with him

"Then let's get going." Ruby said before she started the long journey to Haven while traveling with Ren, Nora, and Jin.

(Ronin-Gai)

Ragna spent more time than he wanted to, healing up within Ronin-Gai while hiding from many people. Due to what happened with his power at the tournament Which also includes getting used to his new arm. Jubei brought him up to speed on what's going on. But didn't tell him anything further. Despite Ragna telling Jubei everything that happened at the top of the tower. Ragna was initially angry that he didn't know everything that was going on. But he decided to focus his energy on two things. They are both healing and getting revenge. Ragna is grateful that Celica and Saya are still alive. But the fact that Celica is in a coma and Saya is likely traumatized angered him greatly.

He knows that Terumi is the one who not only caused his power to go berserk the way it did. But he is also responsible for hurting his family and ripping out his arm. Every time Ragna thought about Terumi, his blood boils with rage and knew that for him to get his revenge. Then Ragna himself must heal and get stronger. So that when he inevitably crosses Terumi's path again. Then Terumi will take his last breath knowing that Ragna killed him. As for Cinder, if by some odd chance that she is still alive, then she must also suffer for setting things up that put his family in danger. As Ragna was deep in thought, Tenjo herself arrived.

"So, what brings you here?" Ragna asked in an impatient tone

"I know that your itching for something to do. Which is why I've arrived, come with me. There's a few things we need to talk about." Tenjo said before she left with Ragna following her

(Training Field)

It didn't take too long for Tenjo and Ragna to arrive at a deserted field. When Ragna looked around, he saw several familiar faces. The faces he saw were Bang, Bullet, and Jaune. A part of Ragna was surprised to see them in Ronin-Gai with them. But another part of him was happy to see friendly faces. Knowing what happened between him and Yang.

"Hey Ragna, I'm glad to see your OK. Well as OK as can be expected." Jaune said in a somber tone

"I can't complain too much, at least I have a nice new arm. It's going to suck that the world will see me as a dangerous monster. But they drew their own conclusion and I can't do anything about that." Ragna said as he was stretching his newly regenerated arm

"Ragna, I know you don't want to hear this. But the people are just afraid because of what happened. It's a natural response due to what happened. So I ask that you be a bit patient with everyone." Bang told Ragna in a concerned tone

"I know Bang, it's just frustrating that's all." Ragna told Bang

"Are you going to be filled with self-pity again. I can punch you like Sol did if it helps you stay focused." Bullet said with a serious tone

"Don't even think about it, I still remember Sol's sucker punch and last I checked. It still hurts." Sol said while rubbing the side of his face.

"Now that all of you are recovered and well rested. I can start to explain why I've gathered you all here." Tenjo said getting everyone's attention before she continued to speak further

"I'm not going to beat around the bush. I know that you all are anxious to take action from here on out. Which is why I've decided to look after each of your training. Until your ready to venture out to Haven. But understand that this is a choice that is not to be made lightly. If you wish to stay, I will understand completely and will bare no judgment. But if you go, I can do nothing to help you. The choice is each of your own and you all must travel with Ragna. Please tell me your decision for what you will do." Tenjo explained to each of them calmly

"The people that did what they did to Beacon. That killed Pyrrha and hurt Noel. I can't let them get away with it. I'll go with Ragna, I know that Ren and Nora are doing the same thing." Jaune said in a confident and focused tone

"I got nothing better to do, so I'll come along. Besides, it'll make for some good experience." Bullet said clearly

"Bang, what about you?" Tenjo asked in a concerned tone

"I swore to be a protector of love and justice. You guys are people I would trust with my life. So as a protector, I cannot allow you all to put yourselves in danger without my aid. Rest assured, I shall come along as well and watch your backs. Besides, helping all of you can help Ronin-Gai and Phoenix Rettenjo can disable aura. It might be able to prevent Ragna from going berserk if it happens again." Bang explained making his choice

"Everyone, I can't stress enough that being near me is already a big risk. I'm prepared to go it alone. But Beacon has taught me that there's no shame in having someone watch my back. Besides, Terumi and that bitch Cinder didn't do it alone. So why should I do it, I learned the hard way that I'm not invincible. So what I'm trying to say is thanks for watching my back." Ragna told everyone. After Ragna's brief speech, Baiken appeared alongside a cloaked girl which got everyone's attention

"Now then, since all of you agreed to travel together. I shall explain what we'll do from this point on. For a couple of months, all of you are going to go through intense training. Once your training has progressed significantly, you shall begin your journey to Haven. It's a long journey, so the training is highly recommended." Tenjo said before she turned to look at Ragna

"Ragna, your master told me of your situation and your going to require special attention from me. So I'm going to help you make sure you have better control your power with a new seal." Tenjo briefly explained to Ragna

"Is there anything else, alside from the fact that we'll all be getting intense training to prepare us?" Ragna asked in a slightly impatient tone

"As all of are training. I will use Ronin-Gai's resources to give each of your weapons significant upgrades. Ragna, your weapon is a special case. So Bloodedge's upgrade will take a bit longer. But it will be finished before you all leave. Oh and one last thing." Tenjo said before a young girl appeared. When Ragna saw her along with everyone else. The young girl reminds him of Nu. But the difference is that she doesn't have an eyepatch and has blonde hair instead.

"Due to some, special circumstances. It was decided that when the time for all of you to go to Haven comes. This young girl will be traveling with all of you. Her name is Lambda and I can assure you all. She is a lot stronger than she looks." Tenjo explained introducing Lamda to everyone who will be their future travel companion. The announcement surprised everyone, but Ragna's thoughts found themselves lingering about Nu.

The revelation that Nu is Ragna's sister still hasn't fully sunk in yet. Ragna regrets lying to Yang the way he did. But fighting her and Weiss in order to protect her from Ironwood. He doesn't regret it, yet he wished that he didn't have to fight them. He already made up his mind on saving Nu. But now that the two are related to each other, Ragna is more determined to save her. Ragna knows that its only going to get harder from this point on. Because as of now, everything changes.

(?)

A single image has plagued Cinder's mind as she was in a deep sleep. Everything was going exactly as she had planned. She became the new Fall Maiden, killed Ozpin, and destroyed Beacon Tower. Yet there were a couple of miscalculations that Cinder has made that hurt her pride greatly. The first miscalculation involves Ruby and the power she used. When Ruby used her power, Cinder felt an immense pain throughout her body. If it wasn't for Terumi's assistance. Then the light blast from Ruby would have no doubt hurt Cinder immensely. Yet the second and much more severe miscalculation, came in the form of Ragna the Bloodedge. Seeing herself in such a severely injured state, made her realize that she has repeatedly underestimated Ragna.

When he displayed that immense power during the tournament and when he went berserk. She knew that he would be a major threat to her. But figured that once she becomes the new Fall Maiden. Then Ragna would be easy to deal with, despite the power he has. Yet, when he unleashed his power and attacked Cinder, she realized how wrong she was. Every second that Cinder remembers Ragna attacking her. Fills her with a great deal of anger at both the injury and the humiliation.

Once Cinder opened her eye, she immediately noticed that something was off. For starters, she can only look out of one eye. Adding to this is that when she looked at herself further. She found herself injured all over her body and noticed that she doesn't have an arm. When she tried to speak, she had a hard time doing so. The words that she is barely able to make. Were both raspy and slow to come out of her mouth. Yet as she tried, anger started to boil within her body. Cinder knows why she has her anger and the more she thought about it. The angrier she got at the source of her rage. Who is the reason that she's in her current condition.

"Da . . . mn . . . . you." Cinder struggled to say before she started to remember the night on Beacons Tower. Cinder remembered vividly the individual who withstood her flames and relentlessly attacked her. The individual was enveloped in energy and attacked her and before it all went dark. She was attacked by a single and power strike. This memory enraged Cinder further and her remaining eye started to glow, indicating the use of her Maiden powers. As she used her power, she was able to muster up enough strength. For a single action

"DAMN YOU RAGNA!" Cinder yelled releasing a good portion of her power in the process.

"I see that your awake Cinder." A female voice said getting Cinder's attention. When Cinder looked to see who spoke. She saw the pale woman look at her with her red eyes.

"Ma'am." Cinder struggled to say to Salem before she lost her voice again

"We have much to discuss, during your recovery." Salem told Cinder

(General Ironwood's Office)

General Ironwood has spent a good deal of his time in many meetings regarding what happened at Beacon. It was bad enough that everyone outside of Vale saw the Atlus mech soldiers attack a lot of people. But now, a lot of people are angry as they are afraid which is making things a lot harder for people. The General has spent a lot of time trying to figure out how someone was able to take control as easily as they did. But now, he's working hard to make sure that it doesn't happen again. While also taking measures for a counterattack, since he knows that Salem is behind this. As the General was thinking about this, an individual has arrived. Someone that the General wanted to see who will tend to another matter that occupies General Ironwood's mind.

"Sir, I've arrived." The female said as she entered the office

"Thank you for coming Winter. I know that this is an inconvenience to you. But I wouldn't call you here if it wasn't anything less than important." General Ironwood told Winter

"I understand sir, I know that you have been busy with everything related to the Fall of Beacon. But I can assure you sir, I know that you did everything you could do." Winter told the General

"Thank you Winter, the reason I've called you here is because I have a special mission for you. Right now, I need people I can trust and this is something that is crucial to the security of the world." General Ironwood told Winter before he continued speaking

"There are forces out there that threatens the peace we've all worked hard to maintain. But I'm afraid that there is an unseen threat out there that's lurking in the shadows outside of our notice. A certain event during the last match of the tournament springs to mind." General Ironwood said as he brought up an image that's infamously known to the world.

"The Beast of Remnant, or as he's more commonly known as Ragna the Bloodedge." Winter said as she was looking at the picture

"I know it's a bit farfetched, but I believe what happened with Ragna is related to the unseen forces that's escaped our notice. All of Remnant is now cautious of him, yet there has been no official word regarding him. Not from the council, or the other Huntsman and Huntresses. I'm worried about this of course, but due to the circumstances. I want to keep it that way for as long as possible." General Ironwood explained to Winter

"Does what happened at the tournament make him a wanted criminal sir?" Winter asked the General

"No, there's too much we don't know regarding what happened or that abnormal power. Especially if anything that broadcast says is the truth. Regarding the Black Beast and portions of history being a lie. But I do know this, Ragna has a connection to these unseen threats and this cannot go ignored. Especially since that broadcast made it clear, that Ragna has the power of the Black Beast. If Ragna joins up with those who are against the Kingdoms. Then many of us won't stand a chance, especially since Ragna was able to decimate so many people." General Ironwood explained before he continued further

"Winter, I need you to find Ragna and bring him here to Atlus. It is not an arrest, but he is a person of interest. This is to be strictly between us. Your free to use your best judgement for how you proceed in this mission. But understand that this is a top priority and he must be brought back here alive." General Ironwood told Winter

"I understand, I accept the mission to detain Ragna the Bloodedge." Winter said prepared to take on the mission to bring Ragna to Atlus

With Jin telling Weiss everything, it will go a lot better this time. Since Jin is being honest and compared to Yang, Weiss is a lot more levelheaded. It will be confirmed in a future chapter, but Jin was able to convince Ironwood to have the medics in Atlus care for Celica. While Saya will be living with Jin's adopted family in Atlus.

At this point in the story, Jubei and Rachel told Qrow everything. Including the stuff that Ozpin doesn't know. Which involves the three Azures. The details of what the three Azures are will be revealed in the volume 4 portion of this story. Along with the full details of what the Murakumo labs are.

To describe Nu's experience regarding the Murakumo labs. If any of you heard of a game called Skullgirls. Then there is a character in the game name Painwheel. If you know her experience in the Anti-Skullgirl Labs. Then you have a good idea of what Nu and Lambda went through in the Murakumo labs. In terms of this story, there are several people who experienced monstrous things in the Murakumo labs. Nu and Lambda are some of them.

For the kiss between Yang and Makoto, I'm confirming the paring. I've seen many RWBY fanfics of Yang meeting a cool guy who ends up being paired with her. I wanted to try something different and since her and Makoto got along so well. I figured that they would make a good pairing. This wasn't easy to decide, since I've seen so many requests for Ragna to be paired with Ragna. But I think this pairing works a bit better.

As of now, Yang is furious with Ragna given everything that happened between them recently. Ragna lied and the girl he helped had cut off her arm. So to say Yang hates Ragna's guts would be an understatement. I've seen several online comments talking about how Yang easily forgive Blake for running away. It is clear that a lot of people have problems with that and I understand a lot of those points. Especially since it was stated that Yang has abandonment issues. So in this story, Yang will not easily forgive Ragna. He does have good reason for lying. But Ragna still hurt Yang and he has to deal with those consequences. Trust is hard to build once broken, and Ragna is going to have to work hard to build it back up. Yang does now know that Nu is Ragna's sister. But it still doesn't change a thing for how she feels.

The reason Ruby isn't as angry is because she knows that Ragna wouldn't have done what he did if it wasn't for a good reason. Don't get the wrong idea, Ruby IS NOT choosing Ragna over Yang. But her experience at Beacon taught her that there's two sides to every story and wants Ragna to make things right with Yang. Jubei knows that Celica and Saya were threatened thanks to Ragna telling him before his talk with Ruby. He was about to tell Ruby, but he didn't get the chance. Weiss will know, due to Jin's explanation and they are still a couple.

The characters that will be traveling with Ruby is Ren, Nora, and Jin. I chose this set up because I want to do something different from canon and decided to change things up. I will also change things up from the volume 4 canon as well

In the volume 4 portion of this story. Ragna will be traveling with Bang, Bullet, Jaune, and Lambda. Celica and Saya being alive and the stuff Beacon taught Ragna. Prevented him from going lone wolf on his journey to Have. Besides, he knows that Terumi and Cinder didn't do ruin his life alone and Ragna knows that he can't do everything alone.

So read and review
