Hey everyone! Happy thanksgiving! I'm sorry I've been gone so long off and on. I'm a bit busy with school right now. Anyway, here's a thanksgiving poem as proof I'm still alive.

I'm thankful for the meals I eat

I'm thankful for the friends I've had the chance to meet

And for the family game night where boasting rights were our prize

For the vacation three years ago by the lake watching the sun rise

And for days playing outside in the dirt

For having a mother who comforted me when I fell off my bike and got hurt

And for every day I've had swim team

For bonfires where we'd look up and watch the stars gleam

And for days at the beach racing across the shore

And camping trip roughing it in the woods that are anything but a bore.

For parents who taught me God always came first

For friends who'd never share that they've seen me at my worst

For daddy daughter dates with just me and Dad

For a father who will speak up if I ever have a boyfriend who's bad

For a mom who always read me stories before bed

And who tells jokes great enough to make me laugh off my head

For little Jack who I've always kept floss

And for Joey who isn't entirely gross

For summers in the pool with my brothers playing Marco polo

And nights cuddled up on the couch together watching Ninjago

For Margo and all the support my sister brings

For nights on the phone with her talking about every little thing

For Ben and the love and joy he brings to Margo

For the baby I found out they're having five days ago

I'm thankful for autumns where we'd jump in the leaves

And going to the orchard to pick Apple's from the trees

I'm thankful for every hug I gave to my grandma before she died

And for the days I still have with my grandma who's still alive

For trips to see my cousins who live far away

and every time my family holds hands to pray

I'm thankful for playing with sparklers on the fourth of July

And the freedom I'm reminded of when I watch the fireworks fly

For Decembers out in the cold sledding

For cold winter nights where I'm warm in my flannel bedding

For the trips out of state we take on spring break

And the pictures attached with the memories that we make

I'm thankful for the warm water whenever I take a shower

And of course the phones, tablets, tv's, computers, and the power

For car rides where my dad would blast ccm on the radios

For rainy April days for lunch eating spaghetti o's

But I'm most thankful that Jesus paid the price

That if we believe in him, we can have eternal life

That Jesus gave me a brand new heart

And every time we mess up we get a brand new start

Well, I hope you all enjoyed. That was a very condensed list of everything I'm thankful for. I could've gone on if I had more time. So, what are you thankful for? It really hit me earlier today that we don't really talk about that anymore. Everything seems to be about black Friday shopping now. Don't get me wrong, my grandma, mom, Margo, and I all go every year and have a ton of fun together, but I think black Friday deals starting Thursday are a little ridiculous and take away from the actual holiday. Also, what did you do for thanksgiving? My family went to my great, great uncle's. God bless, and see ya!
