LET THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT RING

Dean stood back, admiring his handiwork. Everything looked perfect. The tree stood tall and proud, sparkling with an abundance of twinkling lights and silver tinsel. Beneath the tree were a number of brightly wrapped packages. Nodding in satisfaction, he rubbed his hands together. Time to brew another pot of coffee and start his Christmas breakfast.

The coffee pot just finished its last gurgle when Sam wandered into the kitchen, a look of confusion and wonder on his face. "Dean?" He pointed toward the other room. "What's' going on? I mean, there's a tree..."

Dean turned from the stove. "Yep, a Christmas tree. And the presents underneath are yours. Well, there's one for Cas...but the rest are yours."

"I...I...wow. I didn't we were..."

"Here, sit down and eat. Eggnog French Toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and just for you, a fruit cup."

Sam sipped from his now full mug of coffee. "Yeah, okay...I'll be right back." He turned and left the kitchen.

"Hey, no peeking!"

Sam grabbed the presents he'd wrapped for Dean and placed them under the tree. Stepping back, he paused and took in the decorated tree. It was Christmas—one filled with happiness rather than sorrow.
