The epilogue

The fireplace lit up green, and Draco stepped through. He waved to his frazzled cousin, before moving to pick up the baby that was fussing in his highchair. "What's wrong, Dolf? Mummy not paying enough attention to you? That's ok, you're coming home with Uncle Draco tonight, and you can have all the attention you want. Grammy Cissa can't wait to see you," he cooed at the boy.

Hermione shook her head, "you spoil him, Draco." Drying her hands, she walked over and smoothed the boys chocolate brown curls and kissed the top of his head. "And, no Mummy was paying him all the attention he wanted, he just didn't want to be confined while I cleaned the kitchen."

"Can't say I blame him," he bounced the now giggling child on his hip. "I imagine the only thing worse than watching you clean is cleaning myself. As far as spoiling him, I have to make sure one of my godchildren loves me above everyone else, and I am not above bribery. Your other child is broken."

She laughed, "speaking of, where in Merlin's name is she?" Hermione walked to her front door and pulled it open, "Calia Hope Lupin, get your butt in here. I told you that you needed to be ready when Draco got here."

A moment later a small girl with unruly sandy brown curls and sea green eyes walked into the hut, followed closely by Fenrir. "I'm sorry Mummy, but I had to tell Pappy about all of the fun things I am going to do with Uncle Harry, and he took me to see Auntie Dolphi and Mia."

Draco frowned, "what am I? Chopped liver?"

She smiled sweetly at him and shook her head, "no, but Uncle Harry is my favourite."

"Figures, St Potter is someone's favourite," he grumbled. "That's fine; I'll keep that in mind when you ask me to take you to see Teddy this weekend." He smirked when her face fell.

"Uncle Harry is my favourite, but you have better hair," she quickly amended. "Will you please take me to see Teddy this week?"

At that Fenrir let out a barking laugh, "she knows her audience, doesn't she?'

"Yes, I'll take you to Teddy's tomorrow." He looked thoughtful for a moment, "perhaps he can stay the night too. I'll floo Tonks and Charlie to ask tonight."

"Did you tell Pappy what you decided about Teddy?" Hermione raised an eyebrow at her daughter as she made to exit the room to find the kids' bags.

The little girl grinned at Fenrir, "Teddy is my boyfriend. We're going to be bonded one day when we get bigger."

"Oh?" he bit back a laugh, "and how old is this Teddy character?"

"He's six already," she looked at him seriously, "he's two months older than me, so it's ok."

"Ah, and what if Teddy decides he doesn't want to be bonded with you when you're both older?"

Her eyebrows drew together like this was the first time this thought had crossed her mind. "Umm. I will-" she bit her lip, "I will throw a book at him." she finished confidently.

"Well, that worked for your Mummy," Remus commented as he entered the hut.

"Papa!," she ran and jumped into his arms.

"Hey there, Cali. Are you ready to go spend some time with Uncle Draco and Uncle Harry?"

She nodded, "I'm going to go help Mummy with our bags." The second he put her down she ran from the room.

"Good afternoon Fenrir, Draco," he nodded to the two men in the room before taking the squirming boy from the blond man's arms. "Hey there, Leidolf, were you good for Mummy today?" The little boy just blew bubbles in response. "Thank you for keeping them this week, Draco. I know it means a lot to Hermione."

"Yeah," she added as she entered the room with Calia close behind, "the last time we left them with someone, a certain little girl came back with the bad habit of saying a few four-letter words." When she stared pointedly at Fenrir, he raised his hands in surrender.

"I'm not allowed to say 'fuck' anymore," the small girl smiled at Draco. He had to fight back the smile that threatened to overtake his face.

"Calia Hope!" Hermione scolded.

"Sorry, Mumma," she looked anything but sorry when she turned to grin at Fenrir.

Seeing him wink at his granddaughter caused Hermione to let out an exasperated sigh. "You are a terrible influence," she shook her head.

"That's the fun of being a grandparent," he grinned before kissing her on the cheek. "I'd better head home. You guys all have fun, and you" he pointed to Calia, "cause some trouble for Grammy Cissa, yeah?"

She giggled, "yes, Pappy." He quickly hugged her and nodded to the men in the room before leaving.

Once Draco was loaded down with both bags, Leidolph was securely in his arms, and he had Calia's hand in his, goodbyes were said. He led the kids through the fireplace and back to his house.

When it was only the two of them left Remus pulled Hermione into his arms. "Liam has things handled, so we have a couple of hours until we leave for the hunt. Care to join me for a quick nap, mate?" He leaned in as if to kiss her, but instead just nipped at her bottom lip.

A wide grin spread across her face, and she nodded. "I'd love to, Mr Lupin."

"Then lead the way, Mrs Lupin."
