Author's note: I decided to upload the next chapter to this series. I do have to admit, the track that the story was going when I was writing it over two and a half years ago was taking an extremely dark turn that I was extremely uncomfortable with. I hope you like the update. Please note that I do have a super busy schedule, but If I get enough people responding to this story, it will encourage me to continue on.

Please favorite this story and write a review!

Thanks everyone!

Chapter 6

Bright and early, the sun peaked through the windows of the temple causing two young women to stir from their slumber. The brunette groaned as she slowly awakened rubbing her throbbing forehead and sore eyes. It felt like she had not slept in ages and needed to rest further.

"Is that you? Nariko?" whispered a high-pitched voice of a girl who had long been a best friend.

The brunette turned to the blonde. "Yes, it's me Yua." Her emerald eyes struggled to focus. What had happened?

"Nariko? Where are we?" Yua asked softly.

"I don't know."

A shiver went down the blonde's spine. "Please don't tell me 'they' took us away from the others."

"I-" the future Sailor Jupiter gulped soundly trying not to let tears prick her eyes. Her She tried to keep the fear at bay having seen what they did to two of her friends. "I-I don't know… I don't remember anything, Yua."

The blonde senshi of Venus began to hug her knees. The clothes she wore were ratted and dirty though the linens that were her blankets were clean. She had an uneasy feeling about all this. "Perhaps—perhaps they took us to a prison? You remember how they kept talking about a c-collection?"

"Yeah," sighed Nariko, forcing tears from forming in her eyes, "maybe we can plan an escape. Or—"

They jumped the door beside them slid open. They were dead silent when no one other than Hotaru and Chibi Usa entered the room, both young women peering into the room. Both sets of girls locked eyes on one another.

Screams echoed in the room before a few crashes were heard and the young Sailor Venus and young Sailor Jupiter dashed out of the room from an adjacent door. Their bare feet padded loudly in the quiet temple.

"This way!" shouted Yua with a quickly following brunette who was trying her best not to start crying harder. The last time they saw Saturn and Chibi Moon was at the battle which she and Yua were captured and forced to sleep. The Senshi of Silence had fallen into the arms of death during that battle with Chibi Moon disappearing without a trace. The young women's fear radiated strongly seeing the two alive and well. Perhaps they were part of the reanimated corpse army created by that the sick-minded being from another solar system.

The two young women slid open a door to their right and slid it closed. They breathed deeply as they leaned against it carefully listening to see if they truly lost the two supposed enemies. Yua turned to Nariko seeing her shedding silent tears. Her hands shook as she tried covering her face. As much as she desired to comfort her friend, she heard feet running down the hall. Her breath hitched as she heard the feet past the door they hid behind and away from their current position. It was then that the blonde turned to her friend and held her tightly with open arms allowing her to cry in her shirt.

"Are you okay?"

"No…" she tried hard to muffle the sobs, "Don't let that senshi man get me—"

Another jolt was noticed as the two young women turned and saw no one other than Usagi and Mamoru sitting up from their provided futon in the room.

In horror, the two young women remained speechless as Usagi sat up a little straighter with a large yawn, "Are you both okay? Is there a youma outside?"

They had heard stories as young girls. Their parents shared of the adventures completed when they kindled the fire of love between their soulmates. Such love stories were shared by both their mothers and their fathers as if it were a lovely fairytale. The Stories of their reintroduction before becoming couples and fighting for truth and justice with their fearless leader, Sailor Moon, had been reduced to an awe-inspiring bedtime story.

"Are your names Yua and Nariko?" softly asked Usagi as she adjusted the covers that kept her warm in the chilly fall weather—soon to be winter once more.

Both girls immediately broke into tears before running to their future Queen. They bowed low to her and hid their faces. Usagi and Mamoru, still half asleep, immediately woke and got out of their futon, both in their night clothes. "Please, you don't have to bow!" insisted Usagi. She soothingly rubbed their shoulders as would a mother trying to soothe their sorrowful teen after a horrible day at school.

With snot rolling down her nose, Nariko quickly tried wiping it away along with her flowing tears; Yua couldn't stop sobbing either keeping her face low to the ground. In their hysterics, the young girls missed the sound of the door they entered where Mamoru ushered in Minako and Kendal. The young bride immediately felt her heart break seeing her future child in hysterics on the ground before her queen. She quickly went over to the blonde and spoke her name.

Yua's head jolted up, her eyes red and puffy. She gasped loudly before launching herself into Minako's arms. "MOM!" she shouted holding tightly to her waist. Her body wracked into sobs that shook not only her but the older blonde woman. Minako's husband came over slowly looking between his wife and future daughter. His stomach dropped to the floor in hearing the wailing and anguish and his anger grew astronomically towards the unseen enemy who did this to his own flesh and blood.

Minako's eyes widened when she saw her husband turn around in rage and begin storming out of the room. "Kendal!" she called, worry and concern etched in the tone.

The lead General turned around only for a brief few seconds addressing his wife with the iciest words he had ever uttered to her. "I swear I am going to kill whoever did this to our children, to our family, and to the kingdom."

Nathan barely missed having his body pushed over by a raging leader who was leaving the area he was entering. His gaze turned to his king. "Did I miss something?"

"D-Dad?"

Nathan heard the soft whisper of a voice. That's when he saw her, the young girl that was clearly Makoto's double. She ran up to him, and buried her face in his clothing. He slightly winced as the spot she buried her head was still slightly tender from the youma attack back in the summer, yet it was mostly healed. He held his future daughter silently wishing he could take all her pain and silent horrors away.

And the two girls were held for quite some time.

The antics of the two young senshi had woken the entire house hold. Though the children were asked to give space to the teens, upon their presence being seen, Yua and Nariko became all smiles and laughter as they hugged the children. The eldest daughter of Venus and Kunzite tightly held her two younger siblings, Adonis and Chibi Mina, her joy returning and beginning to over flow. Indeed, Minako felt her heart swell at the affection showed by the eldest sibling with her two younger siblings.

Trauma. How these children endured such hardships. How these children who endured the worst were now smiles and joy. Indeed, this was a moment in which the team who slowly trickled in the room desired to see recreated time and time again with the freedom and protection provided to the young children that were captured and enslaved by the enemy.

"What do we do?" asked Minako softly as the Senshi and Shittenou met away from the young, sensitive and impressionable children.

"What else?" asked Rei, "We protect them at all costs."

"Who in their sick mind would do all this?" huffed Makoto, her anger rising at the hysterics she helped calm from the horror's unseen.

"Someone demented," uttered Jay. "Someone possibly bent on revenge."

"Why revenge?" uttered Ami, bottle feeding her baby. "We have defeated and dusted all past threats. This must be someone new."

"No necessarily," answered Mamoru. This silenced everyone. His cobalt eyes narrowed in recollection of past conversations. "The girls said something earlier that I found odd. A senshi man."

"Men aren't senshi though," answered Makoto. "It's women who wear the uniform."

"Wait..." spoke up Minako, "perhaps… perhaps she wouldn't be speaking of the Sailor Starlights, would she?"

"The who?" Zoisite questioned, unsure of how to react to new, unknown information.

"That was a few years ago," dismissed Usagi, "They went off back to their universe after finding Princess Kakyuu."

"What if…" started Ami hesitantly, "What if something happened in the future in their Universe, and the Starlights became the first victims? Maybe this might be another Galaxy challenge but over many dimensions- "

"Let's see if we can summon the Startlights," suggested Michiru, "Perhaps in this time period they can help us solve this situation."

"They were great allies to have," agreed Minako.

"I second that," Makoto replied.

Usagi nodded her head. "I will invite them to come. Perhaps we can get some reinforcements."

Jay turned to look at his wife who sat silently in the group having not spoke a single word. He gently nudged her. Her eyes seemed to snap out of a trance she was in. She turned her attention to her husband. "Yes?"

"What did you see?" he silently asked her.

She shook her head, "Just darkness with people held as prisoners… and puppets."

"What do you think?"

"Of?" she inquired.

"Of what the group is talking about? Inviting the Starlights, whoever that is, to Earth?" shrugged the blond man.

A chill creeped down Rei's spine. Immediately, Jay noticed her discomfort. "What's wrong?"

Rei hesitated for a long while before leaning in and whispering, "I don't know. Something is putting me ill at ease."

"You don't know what it is?" he asked her.

She shook her head. "Not yet. I will need to meditate."

He nodded his head while reaching out and grabbing her hand. She grasped it firmly with a smile beginning to cross her lips. He gave her a lop-sided grin and a nod.

As the morning turned to noon, the group at the temple slowly began starting their day very aware of the threat at hand, but also forging a new plan to counter an unknown enemy.
