FOR A THOUSAND YEARS I LAY DORMANT! WHO DARES TO AWAKEN ME!

Helloooo, my friends, I am back with another chapter of Black Roses. Cheeztiz Christ, almost three months since my last update geez. I am really sorry about that everyone, I honestly tried to get this chapter up during the February but kept running into writer's block, then March came in and well shit went down the drain with the whole COVID-19. My in-person classes for college got switched online ones which wasn't that big of a deal if it weren't for the fact that my little sisters' classes also got switched to online as well and since we only have one laptop which is mines, you can probably guess the situation I was in.

Yea, it was pretty annoying for me. The only time I had time to work on this chapter was during the night. But finally, after a month and a half of doing that, a friend of mines heard about my situation and gave me not a very old but not a new laptop of his, to my sisters. So now I'm back to using my laptop for my use only.

Now, I think I talked long enough, let's get on with this chapter, shall we?

Adam was sleeping peacefully in one of the rooms within the warehouse the White Fang was occupying. Being a leader of a branch of the White Fang, he wouldn't normally get this kind of rest, but after a long and exhausting day, he had yesterday with having to deal with Roman. He needed it and it was thanks to his lieutenant that he was able to get some. He offered to watch over the operations of the White Fang and Roman's while he was rested.

He just wished he could've chosen a better sleeping area than the Warehouse. A loud crash caused him to grudgingly wake from his slumber. His fire-colored eyes glaring at the dark ceiling cursing to whoever caused that loud noise.

Forcing himself up from a small bed he was sleeping on, he felt the cool air touch his skin. Looking down at himself he saw that he wasn't wearing his shirt. Looking towards the bed, he spotted it laying on the floor. As he was going to pick it up, the door to the room opened. "I thought I said I didn't want anyone entering this room." Adam said out loud.

"I know, your lieutenant told me, but I chose to ignore him." Adam recognized the voice, looking over his shoulder, he glared at Black who was standing by the doorway with his arms crossed. Adam grumbled something under his breath as picked up his shirt.

From the doorway, Black stared at Adam, his eyes mainly focused on what was covering his back. Adam finished placing his shirt on before reaching towards his sword. "I heard that you've been trying to meet me for quite some time."

"I have, but you seemed to be always busy." Adam retorted

"Well as you can see, I am not anymore." Black said back.

Adam took a moment to collect his thoughts, wondering if he should inform Black about the visions he and Raven have been getting, as well as the Grimm-like door he found. One part of him was telling him not to tell Black while the other the opposite. After some debate, he came to a conclusion, "…My men and I found something in a cave near Mistral."

"Oh?" Black said with uninterest, but that soon changed with the next set of words that came from Adam's mouth. "There were corpses of Grimm slowly disintegrating." Adam turned his body to face his ex-partner. "As well as a large door with Grimm markings of different species all over it. Ones that I have never seen before, except for that one Grimm we fought a couple of weeks ago."

Black tilted his head, his interest now captured. "The door was emanating a pressure of power that I've never felt before. As well as many strong negative emotions."

"Are you suggesting that this door you found leads to other Grimm that utilizes Ki?" Black questioned, to which the answer he received was a shrug of Adam's shoulders. "I don't know, maybe. I haven't exactly looked to see what's on the other side."

"Oh, I would have expected your curiosity to get the better of you." Black taunted.

Adam glared at his ex-partner. "It's because I would rather not face something that I wasn't sure I could beat on my own." He admitted. After the battle with the large freakish Grimm, Adam became more cautious towards opponents he wasn't familiar with. "Anyways, that's all I really wanted to talk to you about." He said, as he walked past him, Adam took notice of the brown fuzzy tail wrapped around Black's waist. "What is that?"

"Hm?" Black glanced down, "It's my tail." He said, unwrapping and letting it show off behind him.

Adam's eyes widen, "You're a Faunus?"

"I am…" Black took notice of the surprised look on Adam's face. "There's a lot you don't know about me Adam and a lot of which you will never know about." Adam narrowed his eyes, pulling out his scroll, he pressed a button on the touch screen. Soon after Black's scroll vibrated. "Follow the coordinates I sent. After that, just walk till you reach the end of the cave, you'll find it there." He said before walking off.

Black's eyes followed him for a moment before moving to his scroll. Pulling up the map on his scroll he checked the coordinates. It was only a couple of miles away from Mistral. "Hm," Black raised his eyes, gazing into the direction where Adam left off to. Placing the scroll away, he was about to walk away as well till someone caught his attention. "Huh, well would you look at that, you really do have a tail."

Black sighed before turning to face Roman who was approaching him with Neo right next to him. "I thought Neo was yanking my chain when she told me you had a tail. I guess she wasn't." Roman leaned against a crate. "How come you never told us about your tail?"

"Because I chose not to." Black countered.

"After all we've been through together, you don't trust us enough to keep your secret? Ouch, you do know how to break an old man's heart." Roman rested his head back while he gave a mockingly hurt pose. Roman chuckled when he took notice of Black and Neo unamused expressions. "Say, have you had a chance to pick out your tux yet?" Roman asked, lighting a cigar.

"My what?"

"Your tuxedo, for the dance? You do remember your school has a dance tomorrow night, right?" Roman crossed his arms, cigar in mouth, and waited for an answer. Neo used sign language to answer. "He's not going."

"Not going. Why not?

"Because it's pointless and a waste of time. That 'dance' holds no purpose for me to attend." Black stated.

"Really, no purpose. Well from what I hear, Red is going to be there." Roman said with a smug grin. Black narrowed his eyes. "What, did you think I wouldn't know. Neo here has been telling me all about how close you two have been getting lately." Neo held up her scroll, showing off a picture of Black and Ruby. She swiped to other photos while smiling smugly at him. Roman grabbed the scroll and swiped through the pictures. "To be honest, I'm quite surprised. Out of all the girls in Beacon, Red here was the one to catch your eye."

With a tilted head and crossed arms, Black confusingly stared at the older human. Roman took notice of this, "Don't know what I'm talking about. Well, that's not very surprising considering your character."

Black silently growled. "Tell me Black, have you ever had moments where you just unconsciously stare at Red or get a weird feeling in your chest whenever you're with her?" Black's eyes slightly widen. "Hit the nail on that one, did I?" Neo nodded her head.

"Well, my young protegee. That feeling you're getting is what many people get when they're with their special someone. If you go to that party, I'm pretty sure you'll discover the meaning behind what you're feeling. My advice, be completely honest with yourself and with Red."

"Be honest with myself?"

"Yup. The most likely scenario is she'll be the first to open up, then it'll be all up to you to decide what happens next." Black stared at the criminal mastermind, trying to understand his words. Roman turned to walk away but spun back around, "Oh, before I forget, here" Handing him a card with an address."

"What is this?"

"It's the address of to a guy I know that makes Tuxedos, he's also the one that made your Dark Saiyaman outfit." Black growled at the mention of his villain name. "He'll be expecting you." With that said Roman turned to walk away, but not before shouting out. "Remember, it's a dance party, not a standing one!"

Black's eyes moved from Roman and Neo to the card in his hand. His eyes narrowing at the card. Letting out a sigh he walked out the warehouse with Roman's words repeating in his head.

Following Roman to his office, Neo asked a question to her partner. "You're not bothered by Black having feelings for Red."

"Eh," Roman gave a so-so gesture with his hand. "Kinda wished he would've gone for a girl whose team hasn't caused us trouble twice already. But hey, can't get everything we want, right." Roman shrugged, before taking one last look at the picture of Black, Ruby, and some other little Faunus girl. "Besides, do you know anyone else who can get him to smile like that?" He questioned, pointing at the small smile on Black's smile in the photo.

Back in Beacon, the halls of the school were practically empty due to many students leaving for the city to buy their dresses and tuxedos. Those who were still present in the school were either finishing up school work or helping transport chairs and tables to the party room. The excited looks could clearly be seen from the students of the four academies.

Unfortunately, not everyone was as excited about tonight. Ruby flopped onto her chair and dropped her head onto the table with a loud bang echoing the half-empty ballroom. A gloomy aura emanating from her. Ruby wasn't tired, no, the redhead was quite depressed. Reason one was Blake. Her teammate has become very obsessed with the investigation of the White Fang and Roman that she has become very sleep deprived this whole week, not to mention she also been skipping a lot of her meals. Of course, Ruby and the rest of her team noticed this very early on and decided to leave her be in hopes that she would realize that what she was doing to herself was unhealthy. But it only got worse, it was only when Sun had tried to ask her out and reacted quite rudely towards him is when they knew they had to confront her about this but when they did, it didn't turn out the way they had hoped. Blake ended up leaving, annoyed at them for not taking the whole investigation seriously. Right now, Blake was in the Library. Her guess is that she's been there since last night.

And then there was Black. Ruby couldn't get an opportunity to be alone with the older teen since their candy/pastry eating spree. Thus, her not being able to ask him out. Not only that but she found out an hour ago by Allison that Black didn't even want to go to the party. In other words, she would have failed either way in the end.

Ruby let out a groan, her sulking was interrupted by Weiss slamming two pieces of cloths on to the table. "I need you to choose a tablecloth." Weiss said with a smile. Ruby looked at both pieces of cloth but saw absolutely no difference between them. "Uh, aren't they both the same?" Ruby replied with a raised brow.

Weiss's huffed and hung her head. "Why did I even ask." Was all she said before walking away. Yang walked up beside Ruby and placed down a large speaker on the next. "So, have you pick out a dress yet?"

"No," Ruby depressingly replied.

"Why not?" Yang questioned, resting her fists on her hips.

Ruby sighed and sank back down to the table. "Because there's no point in going much less getting a dress if Blake isn't going to be there. Or Black." Mentally saying that last part.

"Oh, don't worry. She's going." Yang reassured, with a smirk.

The doors to the party opened, walking in was Allison who was carrying a box. She carried the box over to Weiss and placed it onto one of the tables. "Yo, I got brought that box you needed."

Weiss opened the box and took out one of the doilies. "Thank you, Allison. I appreciate your—"

"Weiss! I thought we agreed, no doilies!" Yang shouted from across the party room.

Weiss pointed a finger at the brawler. "If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines."

The doors to the party room opened again, this time Sun and Neptune walked in. "Your party is going to have fog machines?" Neptune asked out aloud.

Seeing the handsome student from Haven academy, Weiss immediately changed her attitude and tone. "We were thinking about it" She answered with a smile.

Neptune returned the smile. "That's pretty cool."

"Don't get your hopes up blue boy. We're not getting them." Allison stated from a table she was sitting on and opening a bag of chips.

Weiss looked behind her, "No, we said we were going to thinking about it." She corrected, glaring at the double personality Faunus girl. Allison lifts her hands up in a calming manner.

"So, you girls excited to play dress up?" Sun jumped in.

Ruby scoffed, "Yea, right." She really hated wearing dresses.

Yang crossed her arms and put on a confident smile, "Laugh all you want. I'll be turning heads tomorrow night, one head in particular." She finished with a smirk. Weiss rolled her eyes, knowing who this particular person is. While Ruby was confused by what Yang meant.

"So, what will you two be wearing?" Weiss asked.

"Uh, this?" Sun pointed to the clothes he was already wearing.

Neptune immediately interjected. "Ignore him, for he does not know what he says."

Sun jumped back in. "Hey, I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. Not really a shirt and tie kind of place." All the girls gave a deadpan stare. "Yea, we've noticed." Yang commented.

"So, uh…what does Blake think about all this? She still being all ya know…'Blakey'?" Sun awkwardly asked.

"Maybe you should turn around and ask her." Allison suggested. Sun's eyes widen and immediately spun around only to find no one there. A second later Allison burst out in a fit of laughter. "You actually looked! Hahaha!" Everyone frowned at the Faunus girl. Using her Glyph, Weiss cut one off the back legs of the table causing Allison to fall backwards and hit her head. "Ow! Damn you Ice Queen!" She shouted from the floor.

Ignoring all that, Ruby lifted her head up from the table and sighed, "I don't know what to do. I can't think of anything that will change her mind. Some team leader I am."

Yang stood tall in front of her friends. "Guys trust me. Blake will be at the dance tomorrow." She reassured.

Just then a sound of commotion came from behind the door, a second later a metal flatbed cart carrying two large speakers burst through the doors coming towards them at full speed. "Too fast! Too fast! Too fast!" Lewis who was behind the cart, yelled.

"Watch out!" Sun yelled moving out of the way along with everyone else.

Ruby being quick on her feet stood up, kicked the chair she was sitting on behind her, took a step back, and lifted the table out of the way with one hand. Letting the cart crash into the wall. "What are you doing?!" Weiss shouted at the teen.

From the small rubble of broken speakers, Lewis sat up. "Ow…" From the broken doors, Ren and Nora came running in. "Looks like we were too late." Ren said.

Nora scratched the back of her head. "Sorry about that guys, I kinda pushed him a bit too hard."

Weiss rubbed the bridge of her nose and sighed in frustration. "I'll go ask Ms. Glynda if any more speakers. Neptune would like to accompany me?"

The light blue-haired teen smiled. "Sure." The two walking out together.

"You got a strong arm huh." Sun commented gaining everyone's attention. His comment directed to Ruby who was casually holding the table. Realizing that she was still holding up the table above her, "Uh…yea," She quickly but softly placed it back down. "You tend to develop one when you're using a large heavy weapon, like a Scythe."

"Or a Sledgehammer." Nora throwing in her two cents in.

Sun understandingly shook his head. "Okay, I get what you mean." Meanwhile Ruby mentally sighed in relief. She should really be more careful when using her new strength.

In another part of the School, Gohan was walking through the halls with his scroll. Reading the 10th message Penny had sent him, telling him how excited she for the Beacon dance He can't really blame her for being so excited about the party. Their father and General Ironwood were pretty strict about Penny's freedom. Speaking of which, he was looking forward to talking to the General again. They were pretty good friends back when he lived in Atlas.

As he was recalling the good times he had in Atlas, Gohan failed to notice someone coming towards him which caused them to bump each other's shoulders. Due to his strong physique, he barely felt it and would have kept walking if it weren't for the sound of some angrily saying 'hey'.

Looking down to his left he saw that the person he had bumped into was Blake, who annoying glared at him. He also saw several printed out copies of paper all over the floor. Realizing he had caused her to drop her work, Gohan was quick to apologize. "Oh Blake, sorry I was kinda lost in space."

Seeing that it was her friend and not some stranger, Blake soften her gaze. "It…it's fine." She crouched down and began picking up her papers. Gohan crouched down to help. As he was picking up the papers, he couldn't help but read the contents on them. "The White Fang and Roman Torchwick? You haven't stopped investigating them, have you?" Asking her directly.

"…No, I haven't." Blake answers, not lifting her gaze from the papers on the floor. Gohan sensed her energy being lower than normal. Taking a moment, his eyes scanned her face and body. The dark circles under her eye were a dead give away that she has not been getting any sleep. She seemed a bit skinnier than normal which meant she hasn't been eating properly as well and the way her body was shaking from just crouching indicated that this has been going for some time.

He remembered Yang and Ruby mention that Blake has been obsessing over the investigation. He didn't know it was this bad. "I heard from Yang and the others that you've been too focused on this matter that you haven't been taking proper care of yourself." Blake's gaze became sterner quickening the pace in collecting the papers. "I know how much this investigation matters to you, but you should really ease up a bit. It's unhealthy for you to keep doing this."

Blake continued to pick up her papers. "…Those are my people out there being misled to do unspeakable things, things that endanger innocent lives. But you wouldn't understand Gohan." Blake finished sorting her papers back into her hand and stood up along with Gohan. She saw that he had some of her papers in his hand, taking them from his hand she turned to walk away but not before saying a few words. "Also, that's a pretty hypocritical thing to say, seeing as what you do practically every night." Gohan's eyes widen, he was about to ask her what she meant about that, but she was already far away. Did she figure it out? No, that's not possible, he always had his disguise on. Except for that one time when his helmet fell off, but he was a Super Saiyan during that time, there's no way she could tell, could she?

Blake spent practically the whole day on the Library computer, searching the web for anything that could help with the investigation. Her vision becoming blurry from all screen time she's been spending on the computer. Her heavy eyes slowly shut themselves as her head lowered down a bit. She jolted straight up in her seat, rubbing the sleepiness from her eyes and went back to her search. As she was typing some keys in a red dot appeared in the middle. She was a bit surprised by the red dot and wondered if it was due to her vision that she was now seeing things or a glitch in the computer. The red dot disappeared from the screen. Blake shook her head and went back to her research.

A couple of seconds in and the red dot appeared again this time it moved all over the screen then to her hand before disappearing again. Now knowing this was someone's doing Blake frowned and looked behind her. Her eyes searching for whoever that using the laser pointer. When she couldn't single the culprit out, she went back to her work. Only for the red dot to appear in the middle of her screen again. She tried her best to ignore it but an unnerving instinct to grab it was taking hold of her.

Getting really annoyed now, Blake growled and slammed her fist on the desk. Getting up from her seat she looked behind her in search of whoever was doing this. Her eyes were led to the floor where the red dot was. She proceeded to follow the red dot, trying to step on it. After following it halfway across the Library Blake came to an abrupt stop when she came face to face with Yang, who was happily grinning. "Helloooo!"

"Wha-what are you-?!"

"We need to talk." Yang said before pulling her out of the Library.

The blond brawler dragged her partner through the halls of Beacon until they reached an empty classroom. Yang sat on top of the teacher's desk while Blake walked back and forth with her arms crossed, annoyed that she was pulled from her investigation. "Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath."

"I don't want you to stop. I want you to slow down." Yang said.

"We don't have the luxury to slow down." Blake replied.

"It's not a luxury, it's a necessity." Yang says back, eyes following Blake.

Blake stopped and turned to face her with a stern look, "The necessity is stopping Torchwick."

"And we will," Yang reassured, "But first, I want you to sit down and hear what I have to say." Yang patted on the spot in front of her. Blake eyed her for a second before complying. "Ruby and I grew in Patch. It's an island off the coast of Vale, pretty nice and peaceful compared to the Kingdoms. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our Dad taught at Signal and our mom would take missions from all over the Kingdom, sometimes from other Kingdoms too. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was, like super-mom." Yang said with a small smirk. "Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. But then, one day she left for a mission and never came back." Blake could see the sadness in her partner's eyes. "I was really torn about it and Ruby…well, people thought since she was little that she wouldn't understand what was going on, but she took it really hard. Maybe more than I did." Yang's eyes remained planted on the desk she was sitting on.

"It got to a point where she was angry at everyone, and I mean everyone. Including our mom. You can say it was because she didn't really know how to cope with the loss of our mom. And our dad…he just shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost, but the second. The first was my mom." The revelation shocking Blake a bit. "He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two had been on a team with Summer and our uncle Qrow. And that she'd left me with him just after I was born. No one has seen her since…"

Blake saw an opportunity to ask her something. "Why did she leave you?"

Yang let out a sigh, "That question. Why? I've asked myself that question more times than I could ever count." Yang got off the desk and walked up to the blackboard. "But I was still determined to find out. I would ask anybody if they knew anything about her." She picked up a chalk stick and began drawing something. "Then one day, I found a photo of her and my dad standing in front of a shed of some sort. You could imagine the excitement I felt in finding the first real clue to some questions or the answer that could lead me to my mother. I so excited that I waited till my dad left the house to go and follow this clue, I wanted to take Ruby with me, but she was still dealing with the loss of Summer, so I left her." Yang paused in her drawing. "Heh, can you believe that? Me, her big sister just up and left her alone, just so I can pursue a clue that might or might not even lead to my mom." Blake could hear the anger in her partner's voice. She must really hate herself for doing that.

"I don't know how long I walked, I had cuts and bruises, my feet hurt to the point that I thought they were bleeding, I was so exhausted that I nearly pass out several times. But with the thought of finally meeting my mother, I ignored my pain and exhaustion and kept pressing forward."

"When I finally got there, I could barely stand. But I didn't care, I had made it and that's all I cared about. Then, I saw them. Those burning red eyes. There I was, a stupid eight-year-old who was too tired to even cry out for help. I might as well been served on a silver platter, but just luck would have it, my uncle showed up just in time." She finished her drawing, which was a symbol of some sort. Blake's guess was that the symbol represented her uncle. "My stubbornness should've gotten me killed that night." Yang hung her head in shame.

"Yang…I'm sorry that happened to you and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different! I'm not some child, and this isn't just a search for some answers, I can't just-."

"I TOLD you, I'm not telling you to stop." Yang cut her off. "I haven't, to this day I still want to know what happened to my mother, and why she left me. But I will never let that search control me again. We're going to find the answers we're looking for Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process then what good are we?" Yang said.

Yang's words irritated Blake, "You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this! Blake shouted.

Yang gritted her teeth and punched the blackboard creating cracks in it before turning around, her eyes glowing red. "NO, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?!

"I'd fight him!" Blake argued.

"He'd kill you!" Yang argued back, shoving Blake back.

"No, I can stop him!" Blake gave a pathetic attempt to shove her back.

"Have you even looked at yourself?! You're weak and tired, you can't even do a simple, shove!" Yang used a bit more strength in her last shove which made Blake nearly fall. The cat Faunus leveled eyes with the brawler, some anger in them. Yang took a moment exhaled, calming herself. She approached the cat Faunus and hugged her, which surprised her. "You're not alone in this, you have your team and your friends, so please stop thinking you have to carry all burden by yourself and get some rest. Not just for yourself, but for the people you care about." After everything she wanted to say was said, Yang released Blake from her hug and walked away. Blake's eyes following her up the stairs where she stopped and turned toward her. "And if you feel like coming out tomorrow. I'll save you dance." She says with a wink at the end.

Blake was then left alone in the empty classroom along with the words of her partner left her.

In the city Black was sitting on a beach by a park, watching the children of the orphanage run around with laughter with Ms. Cassidy watching over them. His eyes moved from the children to an old couple who were casually taking a stroll down the park. Then they moved to another couple, a young one who were enjoying a cup of ice cream together. "My advice be completely honest with yourself and with red." Black irritable scratched his head and sighed. What did he mean by that?

"Mister Black, are you okay?" Eby asked.

The ex-kaioshin opened his eyes and faced. He had forgotten that Eby was sitting next to him. Yes, he had asked the little wolf Faunus if she would like for him to accompany during her recess time in hopes that it would help get rid of Roman's words. Sadly, he just kept thinking about it more, and Ruby. "…Yes, I'm fine." He answered.

"…Are you thinking about miss Rose?" If it weren't for the fact that Black was a master at keeping his composer, he would've fallen off his seat.

He turned his head to face her. "What makes you say that?"

"Well," Eby looked up in thought, "Sometimes when someone stares at other couples it usually means they're jealous, sad, or thinking about someone." She faced him with a smile when saying those last couple of words.

Black turned his head away from the Faunus girl, "You're quite the observer for someone your age."

Eby awkwardly smiled, "Well, when you draw as much as me, you tend to develop an extra set of skills." A moment of silence befell the two before it was broken by Eby. "So, is miss Rose busy? Is that why she's not here?"

"Hm…she and her team are setting a party that will be held tomorrow night." Black explained.

"A party? What kind of party?" She asked.

"A dance."

"Oh, are you going with miss Rose?"

"…No." Why did he just hesitate to answer right now?

"No? Why not?" Eby says, returning back to her drawing she was working on.

"I…I don't know." He doesn't know? Just this morning he made it clear why he wasn't going, so why is he all of a sudden not sure?

"I think you should go. It would make miss Rose really happy if you went." Black stared at her, not really sure why his presence at the party would make Ruby happy.

"Why do you say that?"

"Well, people are often happy when they get to spend a special day with someone they care." Eby answered. "Don't you feel the same way?"

Black's eyes slightly widened for a moment before dropping them to the floor. Remembering the strange but nice feelings he would get in his chest. Did he feel happy whenever he was with her? No, that can't be right. Why would he, Black, a man who's killed millions upon millions of people out of disgust and hatred, suddenly feeling happy being with someone other than himself. He's a god for crying out loud!

Black thought process stopped for a moment. God…why…why did that sound alien to him now? "Mister Black?" Eby's voice of worry brought him back to reality. "Mister Black are you okay? I hope I didn't anger you with my question."

Seeing the worried look on the girl's face brought a small wave of guilt wash on him. "No, you didn't. I was just…taken aback by your question." Eby let a breath out, glad that she didn't accidentally anger him. Black calmed himself as well, his thoughts soon returning to Ruby. No, matter what he tried doing she just kept on appearing in his head and the more he did think about her, the more this feeling grew in his chest.

"…I don't like the feeling I get when I'm with her, because it's alien to me." He finally expressed himself. "But I also like it because it's a nice and warm feeling."

"You don't know if you should alienate it or embrace it?" Black's silence was all she needed for her answer. "Well…I think you should try embracing it." Black lifted his head to meet her smile.

"Kids. It's time to go." Ms. Cassidy said out loud.

Eby got up from her seat. "I have to go mister Black, good luck with your mission." She teased at the end. He watched her leave until she was no longer in sight, getting up from the bench he headed back to his dorm to get some sleep but this time with the thought of going to the dance tomorrow now set.

The next day…

It was only two hours till the Beacon dance, and one would think that everyone would be preoccupied with preparing themselves for the dance. Well, not in this case

Adam had not the slightest idea of what he did to piss off the gods to put him in this position. "I mean the two of us study together, we walk together, and we flirt with one another, he even bought me flowers once. One could clearly see that he's interested in me but when I asked him to go with me to the dance, he rejected me!" Weiss exclaimed before chugging down a cup of warm coffee, after she was done chugging the warm drink she continued her rant, "Now I don't know if he was just another guy trying to play me or if I did something to cause this rejection." Weiss took a deep breath before exhaling. "So there, what do you think?"

"What do I think? I'm thinking of calling the police and informing them that I'm about to cause a massive crime right now just so the Atlas forces can come and take me away from this conversation." Adam bluntly said.

Weiss frowned, "You could at least try you to give me an answer instead of being a jerk."

"Forgive me princess," He mockingly says, "But I'm a jerk to anyone who disrupts my peace and quiet with their annoying life problem" Adam glanced away. He came to this café to escape Roman's tiresome stories of his "famous" robberies only to run into the Schnee here, again. "Don't you have a team you can pester instead?"

"I'm not pestering. But I do have friends I could talk to about this." Adam gestured with his hand. "And?"

"They're unavailable right now."

Adam rolled his eyes and took a sip of his coffee. "Of course they are." After putting his cup down he spoke again. "Why are you even talking to me about this? There are others here you can speak to." Motioning to all the people within the café.

"People get slightly intimidated when speaking to someone like me and end up agreeing with me on anything I say and not give an actual opinion." She explained.

Running a hand through his hair, Adam let out a sigh. "So?" Weiss's voice causing him to level his eyes. "So what?" He said back.

"Ugh! Have you not been listening to anything I've said?!" Weiss mildly shouted.

"I try to ignore everything you say, but your loud voice makes it hard too." Adam calmly said. Weiss's eye twitched a bit. "If it bothers you so much that you got rejected by a guy why don't I go with you to the dance to make him feel jealous." Adam's suggestion took the Schnee by surprise.

"You would actually go to the dance with me?" She questioned.

Adam scoffed, "God no, I was only joking." A vein almost visible popped from Weiss's temple as her face turned red with anger. But before any blood could be shed a blond hair girl stepped in. "Weiss!" Yang called out.

The Schnee's body stiffened as she heard her teammate's voice and let out a groan when she approached the two of them. Adam glanced at the new individual, recognizing her as the same girl the Schnee wanted to hide from a couple of days ago. As the girl got closer, he could clearly confirm something, "She definitely looks like Raven. Her daughter perhaps?"

"Wow, Weiss, never took you to be the type of girl to two time." Yang teased.

"I am not two timing! I'm merely having a decent conversation with a fellow citizen of Vale." Weiss corrected.

"Right…" Yang smirked, she turned to Adam and held out a hand. "I'm Yang."

"And I'm just leaving." Adam said, getting up from his seat he headed to the door but stopped for a second to say something. "Guys like the one you talked about usually have a secret or two they're embarrassed of being found out." Having finally answered her question he left the café.

Weiss was left sitting there, not expecting Adam to actually give her advice. Yang leaned in, "So…"

"We're just friends." Weiss coldly stated.

The rest of the day flew by real quick and before anyone knew it, it was only an hour till the dance began. Many of the students were in their dorms, dressed and ready for when the party begins. Unfortunately, not everyone was dressed and ready. Gohan walked out from a tuxedo store with a disappointed look. "Darn, no luck again." He said to himself.

He's gone to practically every tuxedo store and rental shop there was in Vale, but each one was either out of stock or did not have one for his size. He let out a sigh, this was his fault, he got completely sidetracked with homework and sparring with Yang that he forgot to preorder a tuxedo for himself days before.

Now here he was scouring the city for one. Gohan took a glance at his scroll, "Only an hour before the dance begins. Man, what am I gonna do?" he expressed out loud, hunching over. Then right out the corner of his eye, he saw someone he didn't expect to run into. It was Black.

"Hey Black," The half-breed called out, gaining his team leader's attention.

"Gohan?" Black says, somewhat surprised to see the teen.

"I thought you were going to sleep through the rest of the day. What are you doing here?" Gohan asked.

Black said nothing for a moment before raising a card to the half-breed. "I'm going to this address to pick up a tuxedo that an acquaintance of mines ordered for me."

"Oh, does that mean you're going?" A mere nod from the false Saiyan was his answer, "Great! Hey, do you think I could tag along."

"Hm?"

Gohan rubbed the back of his head. "You see, I'm kinda searching for a store that has tuxedo of my size available and I haven't had any luck with the past couple stores."

"Mm, very well, you may follow." Black replied, walking into the direction of the store with Gohan following behind.

As they were making their way to the store Black eyed the other teen from the corner his eyes. It's been a couple of months since he found out the boy was a Saiyan, and during that time he expected to greatly despise Gohan but couldn't find himself to truly feel that way towards him. He still detested the conclusion that Gohan was a Sayian this entire time but that was it. All that hatred he had towards the Saiyans especially those three just wasn't sticking on Gohan the same way.

Maybe it was due to the months of friendliness he's received from the Saiyan that's making his hatred towards Gohan feel less than to the others. Which raises a question. Does Gohan deserve to be treated the same way just because he's the same race as those bastards? It's not like he's related to any of them.

Black gave one last glance to the Saiyan. "Right?"

After a short while, the two warriors arrived at their destination. The store looked nice compared to what the street looked like. Upon entering Black nearly tripped over when he saw the shopkeeper. "Hello! Welcome to Wick's Tuxedos." Roman greeted, dressed in completely different attire. A formal business suit and white gloves. The eyeliner and hat were gone, his green eyes were replaced by deep blue contacts, and his hair was nicely combed back.

"I-Is that Roman?" Gohan was completely stupefied to see the notorious crime master working in a place like this.

"How may I help you gentlemen?" Roman asked with a bow.

Black quickly collected himself and spared a glance in Gohan's direction. Seeing that the Saiyan was still stunned by Roman's revelation as the shopkeeper of this tailor, he quickly answered the question. "I…I'm here to pick up my order." Black's voice pulled Gohan back to reality.

"Ah yes," Roman walked into the back for a moment, "I believe this is it." He said, handing Black the tuxedo. "And what about you my muscular fellow?"

"Me? I…Uh…" Gohan wasn't sure what to do. Should he excuse himself, comeback as Saiyaman and arrested him. But then, he remembered why he was here in the first place. Taking a look around he noticed some tuxedos that might be for his size.

Roman followed Gohan's eyes, "Ah, looking for a tuxedo, are you?"

The half-breed eyes immediately returned back to Roman, "For a dance? Well, if you like, you may try some of them on and if they do not fit, we can make slight adjustments for you." Roman offered.

Still unable to come to terms at what was happing right now, Gohan turned his head to Black who was wearing his usual expression. He checked his scroll and saw that the party was going to start very soon. With a deep sigh, Gohan made up his mind. "Y-Yea, that would be great, thank you."

"Very well, come this way and we will see which is for you." Before the two walked away, Roman said one last thing to Black, "Oh sir, if you would like, there is a changing room right over there." Pointing over to the left side of the tailor.

"Thanks…" Black said. When both Roman and Gohan were a good distance away. Black sighed and rubbed his temples. "God damnit, Roman."

Dance Time…

"He-hello, welcome to the Beacon D-Dance." Alli nervously greeted the new guests entering the ballroom. The new guests waved their hellos before proceeding into the ballroom. Alli sighed in relief having managed to successfully greet another pair of guests. Some of the guests made comments on how cute Alli looked. She was wearing an adorable navy blue dress with some cute red and pink flower designs and blue pumps.

"You doing good over here Alli?" Yang asked.

"No, this is very difficult for me Yang. Can you please take over." Alli pleaded.

"What? You're doing great. Plus, you're the one that wanted to give it a try." Yang stated hands on her hips.

"H-Huh? When did I s-say that?" Alli questioned.

"This morning when you were telling me about the drinks you were planning on sneaking in…Oh shit was that Allison then?" Yang quietly asked herself with a mid-serious expression.

"Allison? Who's that?"

Yang waved her hands in front of her with a smile, "Oh it's no one. Alright, if this is really making you uncomfortable then I'll finish the rest of this shift before Weiss takes over."

Alli exhaled, "Thank you, Yang."

"Hey, no problem." Just then the doors to the ballroom opened and Yang's eyes widen with joy, "Oh my Oum, you look beautiful!" Yang said upon seeing her little sister.

Ruby stumbled inside the ballroom now wearing a short sleeveless red dress with a black sash wrapped around her waist and black trims at the bottom. A light color of black leggings and black pumps. "Ugh, can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these." Pointing to the pumps she was now wearing.

Yang laughed at how hard Ruby tried tp carefully balance herself towards her and Alli. "You'll get used to it."

Alli offered herself for Ruby to support on. "It's best if you walk heel to toe and lean back a bit."

"Thanks, at least someone is helping." Ruby gave a light glare towards her sister which caused Yang to giggle some more. With Alli's advice, Ruby was able to walk a bit better than before. They headed to the table where the rest of the gang was currently hanging at. They were all laughing at Jaune and Lewis who were wearing pumps and trying their best not to fall. Weiss tried to hide her face from the embarrassing scene her friends were displaying.

"What's going on over here?" Yang asked.

"Lewis was curious as to why so many girls were complaining their feet hurt from wearing high heels and pumps. So, he asked Nora if he could borrow hers for a bit." Weiss explained.

"And Jaune?" Ruby questioned.

"He was also curious." Ren answered this time. Ruby noticed that the pumps Jaune was wearing belonged to Pyrrha.

"Hey, I think I got the hang on thi-AH!" Jaune fell onto the table causing the entire table to collapse. Nora and Yang burst with laughter, Ren let out a chuckle. Lewis also laughing at Jaune but due to that, he missed stepped and fell as well causing Nora and Yang to laugh at him now. Pyrrha giggled, walking over to help her partner up from the floor. "Is your curiosity satisfied?"

"Yea." Getting back up he handed Pyrrha's pumps back.

From the corner of Ruby's eyes, she noticed a familiar pair of yellow eyes. "Blake! You're here!" Ruby exclaimed gaining the attention of the group.

Blake along with Sun made their way to them. "Hey guys," Blake said, giving a small wave to her friends.

Yang smirked, "Looks like you took my advice."

"Yea, thank you." Blake faced the rest of her friends. "I'm sorry for my behavior these past couple of days."

Ruby placed a hand on her shoulder and gave a comforting smile. "Don't worry about it. All that matters is that you're here." Blake returning the smile. Yang held out her hand to the Faunas girl, "So, you ready for that dance."

With a nod from Blake, the two partners made their way to the dance floor. The rest of the gang were happy to see their Faunas friend enjoying herself. "How did you guys manage to convince her to come?" Sun asks Ruby and Weiss.

"We didn't. Yang did, not sure how she did it but that doesn't matter. She's here now." Weiss responded, before pointing a finger at him. "So you better treat her well tonight." Sun held up his hands defensively and backed away from the heiress.

"Come on guys, this is dance party not and standing around one. Let have some fun!" Nora said, pulling Ren away. "Yea!" Lewis following close behind.

They all sweatdropped at the two hyper genetic teens. "I'm gonna make sure they don't break anything." Jaune said.

"I'll come with." Pyrrha said as well, leaving Ruby, Weiss, Sun, and Alli.

The monkey Faunas turned his head to face the heiress. "So, where's Neptune? I kinda expected you both to go to the dance together…" His voice died down when he noticed Weiss's expression turn sour. "He turned you down didn't he?" Sun scratched his head and sighed. "Well, that doesn't really surprise me."

"What do you mean by that?" Ruby asks.

"Well, you see Neptune has a sort of dumb secret he doesn't want anyone knowing, especially girls." The three girls leaned in, "He doesn't know how to dance."

"…"

"Are you serious!" Weiss shouted causing both Sun and Alli to wince in pain.

"Wow, even I don't know how to dance but I'm not that embarrassed about admitting it." Ruby said.

Weiss rubbed her temples, "I don't know whether to feel happy that he didn't turn me down because he didn't like me anymore or angry that he chose to keep his secret over trusting me."

Alli attempted to cheer up the white haired teen by rubbing a hand down her back. "M-Maybe you should go talk to him. He might be feeling guilty about his choice." Weiss's glanced at blue haired teen who seemed to be telling jokes to his other two teammates and a couple of girls. "Doesn't look like it to me." What did she expect, while he looked like a nice and kind gentlemen, he also looked like the type of guy who looks at different options. Best choice would be to just leave it as it is. Then again, the thought of him not being able to pursue a proper relationship because of this ridiculous reason did make her feel bad for him. Maybe she should help him, after all, isn't that what it means to be a Huntress, to help people. "Very well, I'll go talk to him." Weiss said.

"Remember not to bring out your Ice Queen side." Ruby reminded.

"Quiet you." Weiss snapped which earned her a giggle from the Scythe wielder and a chuckle from Sun. Alli watched her friend walk to the blue haired member of team SSSN. "Will she be okay?" Her voice holding some concern.

"She'll be fine. Not sure about Neptune though." Sun said. A whistle from the dance floor grabbed the attention of the three. Yang motioned him to come.

"Whelp, my turn to shine. Take care losers."

"Have fun Sun." Ruby waved. Yang walked up to stand with Ruby and Alli. "Where's Weiss?" Ruby and Alli took the time to explain what happened while she was dancing with Blake. "Oh, well then we can call all this a mission accomplished with an added bonus."

"So, what do we do now?" Ruby asked. "Go join the others?"

"You guys go on ahead, I'm going to stay here for a bit." Yang says as she pulls out her scroll.

Ruby leaned over to see Yang was checking her messages. "Are you waiting for someone?"

"Yea, I'm waiting for Gohan."

"Isn't he late? It's not like him to be late to anything." Alli said, seeing the time on her scroll.

"Yea, that's why I've been sending him a couple of messages even before the dance started, but he hasn't responded to any of them." She was about to send another message but then heard some commotion coming from the front entrance. The trio wondered what was going on, as they took a closer look, they all saw there was a small group of girls with smiles on their faces and in the center of all the commotion was Gohan. The tuxedo he was wearing wasn't anything special, but it did look really good on him along with his hair nicely combed back.

Gohan having noticed his friends waved at them, "Hey guys." He excused himself from all the girls surrounding him and made his way to his friends.

"Hi Gohan," Ruby greeted, "What took you so long?"

"Yea, making a girl wait like that is pretty rude." Yang jokingly said with a grin.

The half-breed scratched the back of his head, "Sorry, most of the stores were all sold out of tuxes, and searching one that had my size was pretty hard. Luckily, I had some help with finding one." Gohan explained. "You look good."

"Thanks, so do you. Holy crap, he looks handsome." She knew he would look good in a tux, but this was beyond what she expected.

Ruby gave Gohan a one over, the tuxedo looked good on him, not that was surprising or anything. He did look like the type of guy that would good in absolutely anything.

The half-breed turned to Ruby and Alli, seeing their dresses he also commented on their appearance. "You guys look good too."

Alli turned red and tried to hide her presence a bit having not being used to receiving compliments such as that. Ruby on the other gave an awkward smile, "Thanks, though I kinda wish I was wearing my cloak right now."

"I'm pretty sure that's against the Dance's dress code," Ruby's eyes widen recognizing the voice coming behind her. Quickly turning, a small blush covered cheeks. "Then again, I've never been to an event such as this so I could be wrong." Approaching her was Black hands in pocket in a slim style tuxedo. While she did admit that Gohan looked good, Black, on the other hand, was just jaw-dropping, and apparently, she wasn't the only one who thought that. Black was receiving stares and blush from other girls in the ballroom even some who were already with a partner.

Black paid no mind to the stares as his eyes were only on Ruby at the moment. Seeing her in that dress just brought a new side to her that he just seemingly could not take his eyes off. If he could describe her in one word it would be, breathtaking.

He came to stop due to Ruby's next few words, "You look beautiful…" Her voice sounding mesmerized. Black's eyes widen by the unorthodox compliment. It took Ruby only a couple seconds to realize what she said before turning completely red and flailing her arms in front of her. "ImeanyoulookhandsomeImeanyoudon'tlookhandsomeImeanyoudolookhandsomeIjustdidn'tmeanitinaflirtywayImeanIdidbutnotinwaythatwouldmakeyouuncomfortableI just…" Ruby looked down at her feet in an attempt to hide her red face, "You…look nice."

Black blinked and shook the initial surprise he received from the first compliment. A faint red blush formed across his cheeks, "Thanks…You look nice too." He managed to say before slowly averting his eyes away from the girl.

Yang looked between the two, "I didn't think you'd actually come." Yang says, eyes moving to ex-kaioshin.

Black quickly gathered himself, "I wasn't planning to, but I ended up being persuaded to."

"Well, that's good. With you here, we got the whole gang now." Yang said before grabbing Gohan's arm. "Hey, you ready for those dance lessons I promised to give you." She asked with a flirtatious smirk.

"Uh, sure," Gohan replied with a nervous smile which made Yang's smirk widen. The brawler turned her head to Ruby and Black. "I'll catch you guys later." But before she left, she eyed both Ruby and Black one last time.

As they were walking to the dance floor, Gohan spotted Penny standing alone, dancing in place with two soldiers by her side. "Hey Yang, do you think I could get Penny to join us?" The brawler looked over to where Penny was standing and saw how she was enjoying the music. She kinda hoped tonight would just be the two of them but having a third and someone from your crush's family, isn't a bad move. "Sure, why not."

As they were approaching the ginger haired android, the two soldiers by her stepped forward. "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you both to step away." The first soldier's voice sounding serious. His expression changed when he took another look at Gohan. "Oh, Gohan sir, Apologies, we didn't recognize you for a second."

The half breed offered the bodyguards a forgiving smile, "It's alright."

"Is there something you and your partner need?" The second soldier asked, all the while Penny listened intently.

"Yea, I was actually wondering if Penny could join us."

"I'm sorry, but we can't let Penny leave our side for anyone, that includes you, Mr. Gohan." The first soldier replied.

"Mr. Gohan?" Yang questioned causing the Saiyan half-breed to let out an awkward chuckle.

While he understood that they were just following orders it was still let down that he won't be able to dance with his sister. Penny feeling the same. "That's quite alright." They all turned to the new voice.

The two soldiers saluted, "General Ironwood." Yes, before them was the General of Atlas military, James Ironwood.

Ironwood merely waved a hand, "At ease." He approached the soldiers. "Is there seem to be a problem here?"

"No sir," The first soldier replied.

"We were just informing Mr. Gohan that we have orders not to have people get to close or have Penny leave our sight." The second soldier finished.

"I see," Ironwood moved his gaze to Gohan then to Yang who smiled and waved at him. "Well then, I'm sure Gohan and his companion here will be extra vigilant over Penny over the course of tonight. Besides, this is a dance, should she not be able to have fun with her brother?" When he received no argument, he leveled his eyes with Penny. "Go on Penny, have fun with your brother."

Delighted to hear that she's being given permission to go and enjoy the dance with her friends, Penny bowed to the General. "Thank you, General Ironwood."

"You two go on, I'll catch up in a bit." Gohan said to Yang and Penny.

"Alright. So, Penny, wanna learn some sick dance moves?" Yang's question and Penny's reply faded as they went further away.

Gohan turning back to the general who was just finishing dismissing his two soldiers, offered a hand and smile to the teen. "It's very good to see you again, Gohan."

Accepting the gesture, Gohan smiled back, "It's good to see you too, General Ironwood."

"Please, you know you can call me James."

"Heh, sorry, I've called you general so many times it just sticks with me now."

"It's quite alright," The two walked together, heading to the balcony. "I have to say; I'm quite disappointed it took you this long to greet me, especially with the display of my arrival not long ago."

Gohan scratched the back of his head and looked at the floor with an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I've been pretty caught up with classes, and training with my team and friends that I kinda forgot about going to greet you." As well as patrolling at night as Saiyaman.

Ironwood chuckled at how Gohan thought he was being serious, "I was merely joking Gohan. I can see your lack of recognizing a joke is still present."

Gohan's face turned slightly red with embarrassment. "Heh, yea," Can't really blame him, can you. Practically his whole life was filled with fighting and training with some occasional jokes here and there, but after the androids attacked his life was filled with darkness. He can't really remember any fond memories during those days except for Trunks, the last hope of earth. He really hoped he managed to defeat those androids.

Gohan was brought back to reality when Ironwood spoke again, "I was pretty sad to hear when you chose Beacon over Atlas, you would've made a great operative over in Atlas." Ironwood took notice of Gohan's body shifted when he said those words. "But it's good to hear that your trying to adjust yourself in this school life. Robin Hill was also glad to hear when you chose to go to Beacon, saying Beacon is the perfect school for someone of your warrior spirit."

Gohan smiled at the remembrance of the seasoned huntress, "How is Ms. Robin doing?"

"She's doing well, still clashing with me and the council though." Ironwood says, bringing a chuckle from the Saiyan half-breed.

A moment went by as Gohan was contemplating his next few words. "General Ironwood, can I ask you something?" The Atliesan General nodded his head. "Why did you bring so many troops to Vale? It doesn't seem like the regular addition security Atlas provides during the Vytal Festival."

Ironwood sighed deeply, "…Gohan, you've been a good friend for quite some time, so I'd hate having to lie to you." Turning to face the half breed he continued, "I brought these troop for a reason that lies beyond being mere security for the Vytal Festival." Must be referring to the White Fang and Dark Saiyaman. "While I cannot express what that reason is, just know that it's for the betterment of the people of Vale."

"Mm," He can't really blame the General for feeling this to be the necessary course of action. With the rise of White Fang's activity as well as spikes of dust robberies and the appearance of a supervillain now on the loose. It would make anyone very concerned about the safety of the people.

"I think that's enough talking about this kind of subject. You should go and head back in, I'm pretty sure your date and Penny are waiting for you back inside." Ironwood said.

Gohan's smile returning. "Yea, you're right." Before leaving he waved at General, "It was nice talking to you again." A simple nod was all Gohan got as he headed back inside.

Back inside the ballroom, many students were having a good time, some dancing, others talking to another, and some merely enjoying the good food and drinks that were made for the dance. But as always not all the attendees were enjoying the dance and just as luck would have it two certain teens were not.

Alli who was with Ruby and Black had excused herself to tend to a message she received on her scroll leaving both teens to awkwardly stand by each other, watching the other students dance and enjoy themselves. "Ruby what are you doing. This is what you wanted. To be with Black at the Beacon Dance and tell him how you feel, so why are you just standing here like a nervous wreck!" She glanced up at him from the corner of her eye. "Just say something!"

"I like your bowtie. What?!" She internally screamed.

Black raised a brow, "Thanks…"

Hanging her head down Ruby groaned at her choice of words. Black saw this and figured that wasn't what she wanted to say, "…I didn't expect you to be the type of girl to attend an event like this."

Ruby lifted her head, "Your right, I don't really do parties or dances or any kind of event where you have to socialize with people. It's not my strong suit."

"Yet you still decided to come."

Ruby turned her head away, heart beating. This was it, the startup conversation she needed "Well, I…I thought since everyone else was going, maybe I should too. Plus…I wanted to…" Ruby's face turned in a shade of red. "Go…try that delicious punch I kept hearing about! Ahhhhhhh!"

Black blinked and stared at her oddly, "I see, maybe we-."

"Great! I'll go get us a cup!" Ruby cut him off then quickly walked off causing Black to raise a brow.

When she got near the punch bowl, she walked over to the side of the ballroom and banged her head on the wall, making nearby people jump. "What are doing Ruby? You knew what you wanted to say, so why didn't you?" Letting out a heavy sigh, she pushed herself off the wall and walked to punch bowl, completely oblivious to the large crack in the wall she left behind.

She needs to calm down. Otherwise, her chances for tonight will fly out the window.

Back with Black, the false Saiyan waited patiently for Ruby. Looking around the ballroom he saw many couples enjoying themselves. "People are often happy when they get to spend a special day with someone they care." Remembering Eby's words.

Did he feel happy now that he was here with Ruby? That nice feeling wasn't exactly there when she was here a minute ago. Maybe he needs to be closer to her. His eyes moving to Ruby. Maybe… "Not enjoying yourself?" Turning to the voice, he saw that Ozpin had walked up next to him.

"No, I was just thinking…this dance isn't all what I expected."

"Oh, and how did you expect it to be?"

"Rowdy." Black's answer earned a chuckle from the Headmaster. "Well, I do not blame you for thinking that way considering how many of the students behave despite being in a Prestigious Academy. Particular one group of friends." Ozpin said with a smile.

Black didn't need a hint as to who the Headmaster meant that towards. "You should enjoy yourself Black, it's not every day that friends come together like this. Time has a way of testing bonds; its night like these that strengthen old bonds and create new ones. It's nights like these that should be cherished with those around you." Ozpin's eyes caught sight of his fellow colleagues motioning him to come join them.

"Excuse me," Ozpin said, walking away.

Black eyed the headmaster, letting his words sink in. He was brought out from his thoughts when he heard Ruby's voice, "Hey," Looking at her he saw the cup she was handing him. He accepted the cup and took a glance at the contents in it.

"I saw you with Professor Ozpin a second ago. What was that about?" She asks, taking a sip from her cup.

"He was merely asking me if I was enjoying myself." Black answered.

"And…are you?" Ruby asked.

"I am," Black took a sip from his cup before looking down at her. "Are you?"

A light blush formed across Ruby's face. Looking down at her own cup she answered with a nervous smile. "Y-Yea."

Another moment of silence befell the two. Ruby took short glances at Black who was staring at everyone who was dancing. She wanted to say something but for some reason, the words just would not come out. What is with her?! She already had herself set to say something when she came back with the drinks but now, she's all frozen up again.

Thinking this was it, that this was how the rest of the night was going to play out, Black asked a question that sparked a new line of hope. "Would you like to dance?"

"Yes!" Ruby said far too quickly, surprising the older teen. Realizing that she had said that without thinking, a new redness fell upon her face. "I-I mean…s-sure." Placing their cups on a nearby table they made their way to the center of the ballroom, only for Ruby to stop midway.

Black quickly this and turned towards her, unsure as to why she stopped. "Are you coming?" His confusion only rose when he saw her face become slightly redder. "I…I don't know how to dance…" She stated.

Expecting Black to laugh or chuckle at her, Ruby was surprised when all he did was raise his to her and say, "That's fine, I'll teach you." For a moment or two Ruby looked between Black and his hand before hesitantly taking it. The two walked together to the center of the ballroom where Black helped her get in the proper position for the slow music that was being played.

Black could feel her muscles tense up when they began moving, "Relax,"

"S-sorry, it's just…I'm nervous about messing up." She admitted. While that was one reason why she was tensing up, the other was her body being so close to his.

"If it helps, think of this as the training we always do, just slower." With his words given to her, Ruby took exhaled and slowly relaxed. From there on out the two danced slowly to the song.

It was going well till Ruby looked up to meet Black's eyes. His handsome face so close to hers made the scythe wielder go extremely red which made her nerves get the better of her and shoot her gaze away, causing her to misstep and step on Black's foot earning a grunt from him. "Ah, I'm sorry! I-I…"

"It's fine…" Black reassured.

Ruby mentally groaned at her nerves getting the better of her. Taking a quick glance at Black, she saw how calm he looked. She wished she had the nerves of steel he had.

Unfortunately, what she did not know was that it was taking Black all his willpower to keep his face from going red and his tail from wagging like an idiot. That moment when she looked up at his face caused the nice feeling in his chest to intensify tenfold. He was surprised that Ruby couldn't hear his heart beating a mile a minute. He has to talk about something to get his mind out of thinking about this feeling otherwise it's going to out best him.

But as luck would have it, Ruby had the same idea and spoke up first. "Uh, so, w-when did you learn how to dance?" Ruby asked, keeping her gaze on his chest.

Black swallowed his nerves and relaxed, "Well, when you're sheltered for so long, you tend to learn a thing or two to help pass the time." It wasn't exactly a lie what he said, when he was the Kai of the North in his Universe he learned to dance out of curiosity and slight boredom but only to a slow song like the one playing right now, not like the people he's seen dance in a video he caught Alli watching.

"A-Ah…" She replied. As silence fell upon them again, Ruby glanced to the side seeing the smiles of the couples that were dancing around them. They all seemed so happy which made her feel a bit envious. You're only feeling that way because you haven't said what you wanted to say." Breathing in through her nose then exhaling through her mouth, Ruby pushed all her nerves away. Come on Ruby, it's all or nothing."

"H-Hey Black…" She softly spoke, "Re-remember when you asked me w-why I still came even though I don't like going to events like these, and I answered by saying I came for my team and for the punch. W-Well, that wasn't entirely true—I mean the second reason that is…" Ruby felt her heart rushing, "Th-The truth is, I…wanted to come…with you." Her heart felt like it wanted to burst out of her chest, her nerves getting to her again. But she couldn't stop there, she had to keep going. "So, when I heard that you weren't going…I was a little sad about it but…that changed when I saw you walk in. I was really…happy."

Black's eyes slightly widen Eby's words playing in his head. "People are often happy when they get to spend a special day with someone they care." Remembering the couples in the park. They were happy because they were with someone they care about. Someone they hold a deep affection for. Someone they wanted to be with. Someone they…love. Love, is that what he's been feeling this entire time?

Is that what she feels towards him?

Black's heart began to race once again. His tail while still wrapped around his waist began to wag a bit from the tip. Clam, he needs to calm himself, he might just be overthinking it. But still, is he feeling hopeful that it is true?

"…Why would my presence…make you happy?" he asked.

Ruby's body began to shake a bit, her face completely red. "We-Well because…I like you." She finally said.

Black unknowingly blinked feeling as though time had stopped. "Huh, like me? What does that mea-."

Before he could finish his sentence, Ruby gripped him by the collar. looked up at him with a red face and said, "I like like you! I like you more than a friend! I love…you." Her body slumping down as her legs felt like they were giving away. Luckily for her, Black's strong arms held kept her from falling to the floor. But her little quiet outburst was still noticed by several of the couples and pairs dancing around them.

Oh my Oum! What just happened?! Why did she say that?! She was supposed to take it slow, but something snapped in her and before she knew it, she burst out her entire confession. As she was mentally shouting at herself, Ruby noticed they weren't moving anymore or should she say, Black wasn't moving.

Gathering her courage, Ruby lifted her face up only to see him staring out with wide eyes. "B-Black?" Upon hearing his name, the ex-kaioshin snapped out of whatever trance he was in. Then, his face turned into a light shade of red while his tail wagged happily behind him.

Turning his head to the side Black avoided eye contact. "I-I'm flattered that you feel that way." Was all he managed to reply with.

From a good distance away, Weiss was dancing with Neptune who seemed distracted by something. "You know, if you don't pay attention you're going to end up either twisting your ankle or stepping on my foot which I would really appreciate that you wouldn't."

"Ah, sorry, it just, does your friend Black normally wag his tail." Raising a brow at Neptune's question Weiss looked over to where he was staring.

"What? What're talking ab-." Weiss's eyes widen, you could say she was quite surprised to see her partner in Black's arms. But what surprised her the most was the flustered look on Black's face and his tail wagging away.

What did Ruby say to get such a reaction out of the serious teen? Wait, could she had possibly…Immediately Wiess searched the ballroom for Blake. Upon finding her Faunas companion, she saw that Blake had gone up to the second floor with Sun and were both watching the pair as well. "Is everything okay?" Neptune questioned.

"Huh, yea," Weiss said back, while still maintaining visual on Black and Ruby.

Back with the two currently flustered teens, Ruby was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, her heart beating so fast it felt as if it was using her semblance. It didn't help that Black had not said anything back. "Calm down Ruby. Maybe he's trying to find the right words for his reply. But what if those words he's looking for is to reject you?! No, you can't think like that! But what if it is?! Stop it!"

As Ruby was having that inner conflict with herself, Black had finally managed to regain some control over the revelation of hers brought out more of reaction from him than he thought it would. Glancing down at the scythe wielder, he saw how nervous she was, he could practically see fumes rising from her.

The nice feeling in his chest has not let up at all. "Embrace it, huh. Very well."

Taking a deep breath, he started. "Ruby Rose," The Scythe Wielder froze upon hearing her name, slowly but very slowly, she looked up. "Do you wish to know what I think about you?" Ruby hesitantly nodded her head. "I think you're clumsy, you're quirky, you're dorky, you're too energetic, and you're childish." Ruby felt as if though she was being pierced by arrows with every fault of hers, he pointed out. "Yet, it's those faults of yours I believe that attracts me to you, just as much as your courage, determination, selflessness, and your strength."

Ruby's eyes widen, "You plague my mind every second of the day, and whenever I try to rid of you, you just come back tenfold." Embarrassment began to creep back into the false Saiyan causing him to slightly turn his head away. "What I'm trying to is…these feelings I feel are the same as yours and I wish to further explore these feelings…with you."

Glancing down at the scythe wielder, Black eyes widen. Ruby was staring at him with tears in her eyes. Panic took over the ex kaioshin. Why was she crying? Did what he say, upset her? "S-Sorry, I didn't mean to-."

"No." Ruby cut in, wiping the tears in her eyes she looked back up at older teen. "I'm not sad." Her lip curling into a smile. "I'm just really happy right now."

Black felt his heart skip a beat at seeing that smile. Realizing that he was staring with his mouth hung open, Black looked away again with an embarrassing red flush on spread across his cheeks. "I-I'm glad you are."

From the second floor, Blake and Weiss were doing a little celebration at Ruby's success. Jaune and his team also having witnessed the two teens admit their feelings to each other were also happy for them. From another spot in the ballroom, Yang saw the whole thing. She stared at the two, a smile forming on lips when she saw the happy look on her sister's face. Turning back to Gohan and his sister she rejoined the two.

For the next hour, everyone was enjoying the dance, with the music having changed from the slow kind to one of funk. Of course, when that happened, Black and Ruby stepped off the dance floor.

When they sat down by the table where Weiss, Blake, Sun, and Neptune were sitting. Ruby hissed in pain as she rubbed feet. "You alright?" Blake questioned.

"Yea, just not used to wearing heels for so long."

"Oh please, it's not that bad." Weiss said.

"Hey not all of us wear heels every single day." Ruby retorted.

"So, are you guys like a thing now?" Sun asked which caused the Scythe wielder to go red.

"Wha-what're you—wait, were you guys watching us?!" Ruby's answer was her friends avoiding eye contact. Embarrassment taking over her again Ruby tried to hide her face in her arms. A similar feeling befell the ex-kaioshin, now knowing people saw him in that flustered state. Suddenly Ruby shot up from her seat. "Wait did Yang see us?!"

Her friends all looked over to where the brawler was and saw her with Gohan and his sister talking about something. "I don't think so." Blake's reassurance wasn't all that convincing.

Black looked between Ruby and her sister. "Is there a problem if she also saw us?"

"Huh, uh, no it's just…I don't want her embarrassing me—I mean us later." Ruby replied, rubbing her arm down while looking away.

Black simply raised a brow, unable to understand what she meant by embarrass. But before he could question further all their attention was grabbed by the small gathering of people on the dance floor. "What's going on over there?" Neptune asked out loud.

Getting up from their seats, much to Ruby's dislike, they made their way to the gathering and soon found that in the middle of it all was team JNPR simultaneously dancing together to the song that was playing. "They got some pretty sick moves huh?" A new voice said.

Looking behind them, the teens saw not Alli but Allison walking up to them wobbling a bit with half-lidded eyes and a cup in her hands. They immediately realized she was drunk and sweatdrop. "How are you drunk?! There's no alcohol in the ballroom. We made sure of it!" Weiss exclaimed.

Allison rested an arm around Weiss, "Oh Ice Queen, you can never separate me and alcoholic beverages. I'll always find a way to sneak some or should I say find some help to sneak them in for me." The group looked at the direction Allison was staring at and saw several other teens pouring drinks from a very large hydro flask.

"Is that why Alli disappeared? Did she smell the alcohol?" Ruby questioned.

So, why are ya'll just standing here? Let's go have some fun!" Allison shouted, and on cue, the song to the ballroom changed. (Aron Smith – Dancin (KRONO Remix))

Lewis popped out of nowhere and pulled Allison. "Alli, Captain! I know this song! Let's go join Jaune and the others!"

"Lewis there you are! Yea, come on let's go!" Allison cheered.

Black narrowed his eyes as his two teammates approached him, "I'll pass."

"Come on Captain, you won't even in need to move your body, I'll move it for you!" A strange and unfamiliar sensation coursed through Black when Lewis placed a hand on his shoulder, and before he knew it, his body was moving on its own.

Lewis approached the half-breed next, "Gohan, hurry the beat is coming!" Placing a hand on his shoulder as well.

"Lewis, what're—hey what's going?!" Like Black, Gohan was unable to control his body and was pulled towards the center of the ballroom. "Gohan?" Yang questioned, Penny also giving a strange look at her brother's unusual behavior.

(01:03) "Dance Battle!" Lewis shouted, immediately team BAGL began dancing simultaneously together which earned cheers from everyone in the room. The gang was in awe at what they were witnessing by their dance moves. Ruby was the most surprised by the fact at how well Black was dancing with his team, she thought he didn't know how to dance to this type of music.

Soon enough team BAGL stepped back, letting JNPR have the floor. With a competitive stare, Jaune nodded to his team and they started their own dance.

Yang walked next to her friends along with Penny. "Hey, wha-what's going on?"

"I have no idea." Ruby replied.

"I thought Gohan didn't know how to dance," Weiss said, "How is he-,"

"It's Lewis semblance." A new voice said, looking back they were faced with Professor Glynda.

"His semblance?" Neptune questioned.

"Mm, Puppeteer. Lewis is able to somewhat connect his Aura to anyone he touches and make them move however he wants them to." Glynda explained.

"That, that sounds like a pretty scary semblance." Sun stated, the others hesitantly nodded their heads.

"It is, the strength of his semblance is depended on his mood." Glynda further explained. Soon after she finished talking team JNPR finished their turn, and then team BAGL went up again. The annoyed and frustrated expression on Black's face showed he was not enjoying any of this. Gohan on the other hand though a little embarrassed was having fun.

Ruby couldn't help but laugh along with her sister and friends. After team BAGL's turn was done, Jaune and Lewis both smiled and the two teams joined together and persuaded people to join in. Soon after, students gathered in the center to dance to the rest of the song. Yang walked up next to Gohan and flashed him a grin. Sun and Blake also had joined in and surprising Weiss too.

Everyone on the dance floor began dancing together, the others who stood by were all cheering on. Ruby took out her scroll to record the whole thing, but as she was about to press record someone accidentally knocked her scroll out of her hands. "Hey!" Ruby looked around the floor for her scroll, seeing it being kicked across the floor a couple of times before stopping under one of the ballroom's windows.

Picking up her scroll Ruby groaned when she saw how cracked the screen was, none of the buttons on the touch screen worked. With a sigh, she looked up and caught a glimpse of something running outside. Unsure of what she saw, Ruby walked out to the balcony to get a better view.

From there she saw it was a person running across the rooftops of the Beacon's dormitories before jumping down. Ruby narrowed her eyes, call it a gut feeling but something told her that person meant trouble. Looking back to the ballroom a then back out then back inside, a troubled expression came across her face. This was her night, to have fun with her friends and be with Black but…the feeling she was getting off that person said to pursue them.

After a short moment of internal conflict, Ruby gripped her hair and yelled, "Ahhh! Curse you Remnant!" Before jumping off the balcony and followed into the direction of where the mystery person was headed. "Sorry guys, sorry Black, but I can't ignore this."

Minutes later…

Ruby had followed the mysterious person out of Beacon grounds, it was only when they reached the city is when Ruby lost track of the person. "Ah, shoot. Where did that person go?" Ruby looked around the empty streets for any clues, but her searching was to no avail.

"Great job in losing the bad guy Ruby," She said, letting out a frustrated sigh, "Real great." Just before thinking she had lost all hope in finding that mystery person again, something happened.

A silver feather blew across from Ruby and headed down the street right of her. Ruby eyes widen with surprise, having seen that exact same feather before when she was bringing out her Ki. Ruby watched as the feather kept floating down the street before disappearing. She wasn't sure what it was, but something told her to head down the direction it was heading.

After walking a little longer Ruby reached the end of the road which put her in front of the CCTS. "The CCT tower?" She stopped in her tracks when she spotted a rifle on the ground. Walking up to it she quickly noticed that it was Atlesian rifle. "Why would there be a rif-," Ruby gasped when she saw an Atlesian soldier's body hidden behind a bush.

Ruby quickly rushed to the soldier's side. There wasn't any visible wound she could see, and he was breathing normally, so that meant he was just knocked out cold. Ruby pulled out her scroll to call for help but was soon reminded that her scroll was broken. "Great, no working scroll means no help…and no Crescent Rose either." Ruby then realized something, "Wait a minute, I know how to fight without Crescent Rose." Okay, that one issue covered, now the other is, how does she call for help. "Maybe there might be a phone inside I use." Ruby thought out loud before heading inside.

When Ruby entered the main lobby, she was met with several other unconscious soldiers. Ruby narrowed her eyes, that mystery person took down all these soldiers without much noise. This was serious.

Ruby looked around the lobby for the mystery person but found no sign of the person which meant if that person wasn't here then that means she must've, "Gone up," Ruby said looking at the elevator.

Approaching the elevator, Ruby saw that one the small screen above that elevator that the last stop was the communication room. Pressing the button to call the elevator, Ruby waited patiently.

When the elevator doors opened Ruby's eyes widen. Two more unconscious soldiers. Her eyes quickly spotted a scroll underneath one of the soldiers. "Sorry, just gonna borrow it real quick." She grabbed the scroll and placed it on the terminal before telling the terminal to take her to the communication room.

On the way up Ruby used the scroll to send a message to the first person that appeared on the scroll which was General Ironwood. She hoped the General received the message. Ruby blinked in surprise when she noticed that she was shaking a bit. This is going to be her first real fight against a complete stranger without any help and without Crescent Rose. So, it makes sense she's feeling a bit nervous and maybe a little scared right now. Breathing in and then breathing out Ruby relaxed herself. "Come on Ruby, just remember your training."

The elevator stopped; Ruby readied herself as the doors opened. She expected to be right in front of the mystery person but was surprised to see no one. Ruby looked around when she walked out the elevator, "Hello." She called out. "Is anyone the-," Having almost stumbled over Ruby growled at her heels. "Stupid little-." Having enough of the uncomfortable pair of heels, the redhead removed them from her feet.

When she looked back up, she was startled by the appearance of the mystery person standing in the middle of the room. She quickly took note that this person was a woman. She was wearing a black sleeveless jacket, long black gloves, a black tactical belt around her black pants, and black heel boots. Her hair was tied into a ponytail and a black mask on her face. Ruby also took notice of several dust containers strapped on both legs and strange outlines on several areas of her clothing.

Unknown to Ruby, the identity of the woman wasn't that all of a mystery. Behind that mask was none other than Cinder Fall. "Tch, this brat again."

Ruby narrowed her eyes, "Who are you and what're you-," Ruby's sentence was cut short when the woman pulled out one of her dust containers waved it in front of her, letting the dust spread out and somehow crystallized the dust and lunched them at her.

Ruby leaned all the way back, eyes widening at how close the dust crystals flew above her face. Having dodged the attack, Ruby flipped backwards and grabbed a chair with one hand hurled it at the woman.

Cinder smirked, her cloths lighting up as she created a glass sword made from dust and effortlessly sliced through it. But gasped when Ruby appeared in front of her with her fist out. Cinder barely had a second to shift her body away from the girl.

Ruby flew past her, quickly turning back around she shot back at her. Raising her left knee up. Cinder raised her sword to block the attack but was shocked when Ruby shattered the blade with her knee. Ruby clenched her right fist, Cinder obviously still in shock at the display of strength wasn't able to react in time and was nailed across the face.

She was sent flying back and landed on her back before quickly flipping back to her feet. She immediately was put on the defense when Ruby came at her again, dodging and blocking the fast punches and kicks of the girl. Cinder couldn't believe the strength and speed this brat had in her. Every attack she blocked damaged her Aura to a significant degree.

Cinder ducked under a kick and jumped back to create some distance. Ruby rushed back at her but immediately stopped in her tracks when the mystery lady clothes lit up again and created a glass dagger in her hand and swung it at her. Now Ruby was the one on the defense, trying to dodge every swipe, stab, and punch the woman threw at her. Some of the woman's attack managing to slice her Aura. The woman quickly switched hands to throw Ruby off but luckily the redhead was able to keep track of the blade due to all the training she's been through.

Ruby would either use her forearm to stop Cinder's own forearm that held the blade from coming close to her or slap Cinder's wrist away.

Finally, from the many attacks, Ruby saw an opening. Very quickly Ruby spun around and back kicked knife out of Cinder's hand then followed up with another kick across the face knocking older woman back.

Cinder landed on her back and quickly rolled back to her feet. Having felt the blow her Aura took from that kick Cinder gritted her teeth in anger and glared fiercely at the young Huntress who rushed at her again with her fist pulled back.

Releasing all the dust she still had on her, Cinder created a very durable pillar of glass and infused it with a bit of her Maiden power and fired it. Having been far to close this time, Ruby was hit square in the gut with the glass pillar and was lifted from the ground. Her eyes widening in a mixture of pain and shock.

Ruby's body was sent flying before hitting the wall of the communications room creating large cracks on it. Ruby pushed herself up with some effort, having felt that blow crack her Aura, the redhead felt that this mystery woman was far stronger than what she was letting on.

Suddenly, the doors the elevator opened and in came in several soldiers and General Ironwood. Glad that the General was here with support, Ruby smirked and looked back up to see the surprise face of the mystery woman, but to Ruby's shock, the woman was gone. "What? Where did she go!?"

"Search the area! I want this place locked down!" Ironwood ordered his men.

Ruby fell on her bottom, taking in a breather. Placing a hand over her chest she felt her heart pumping a lot faster than usual and her hands were still shaking a bit.

Ironwood approached the young Huntress. "Are you okay?"

Looking up, Ruby answered. "Yea, just a bit shaky. Is it normal to feel excited after a fight?"

Ironwood blinked and glanced down at Ruby's smile and her shaking hands. "I'm guessing this your first time being in a fight alone." A nod from Ruby was all he needed to answer her. "It's the adrenaline running through your system. Don't worry, it's normal. Now, I have some questions I would like to ask you." Again, Ruby nodded her head.

The Next Morning…

"They were here…Ozpin they were here!" Ironwood angrily said, slamming his fist on the table

"We're very much aware of that James, thank you." Glynda said annoyingly.

"You're aware. Fantastic. Are you also aware that they still might be here?"

"Yes, we are! We know about the mask your soldiers found by the entrance of the ballroom and we already talked about this. We are not going to interrogate every student on this campus. That will just spill mistrust between the four academies." Glynda argued.

"Then what are we going to do? Just keep ignoring what's right in front of us? Or do something." Before Glynda could respond back, the doors to the elevator opened.

Walking inside the office was Ruby, "Hi, sorry I'm late, kinda pressed the wrong button a couple of times." She apologized. Yea, she was still a bit sleepy when she missed pressed the buttons in the elevator.

Ozpin took the initiative, "Thank you for coming at such an early time Ruby, how are you feeling?"

"Okay, I guess. I would be feeling a lot better if my bad-guy record wasn't 0 for 3 right now." Ruby chuckling at the end of her joke.

When she received no reaction from the three adults, she immediately regretted her little joke. "Okay so that's the tone we're going for got it…" She meekly said.

Ironwood approached the young huntress, "Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about." Placing a hand her shoulder Ironwood explained, "You recognized a threat, you took action, and did your very best. All the while making sure you had support on the way in case things went south."

Feeling a bit embarrassed by the General's praise, Ruby scratched the back of her head and nervously smiled, "Thank you sir."

Seeing their conversation had ended, Ozpin continued with his. "Now, the General here has already informed of the events that, transpired last night. But now that you've rested we were wondering if you had anything to add."

"Was anyone with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?" Glynda questioned.

"I…" Ruby tried thinking of all the faces she's seen since entering Beacon but there were so many that she couldn't single anyone out. "I don't know. She was wearing a mask; her hair was tied up into a ponytail, but I know her hair was black. She fought with glass though I can't say for certain if that was her semblance, her clothing lit up an orange-like color whenever she went for a strong attack or changed weapons."

"Did she say anything?" Ruby shook her head.

"Hm, aside from the glass, that sounds like the same woman I fought the night I met Ruby." Glynda claimed.

"Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could be anyone." Ironwood stated.

A question then arose from Ruby, "Wait, do you think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?"

Ozpin looked to his allies before answering, "It's possible," Ozpin noticed that Ruby was in thought about something, "But we lack the required evidence to link the two." He added.

"…Actually, I-I think I remember saying something about a hideout or something…in the southeast. Just out of Vale."

Ozpin let a small smile form on his lips. "Interesting."

Glynda raised a brow, "I thought you said the intruder never-,"

"Thank you for your cooperation Ruby." Ozpin cut in. "Why don't you go and spend some time with your team and friends?"

"Glad to help." Ruby waved.

"And miss Rose," Ozpin's voice stopping her in her tracks, "Please try and be discreet about this matter." The tone in his voice showing he was serious.

"Yes sir." Ruby nodded before entering the elevator.

Upon arriving at her dorm Ruby was approached by her team and team BAGL (minus Black) "What happened?" They all asked.

"Uh, well, eheheh…"

In a different part of the Academy, Black opening the door leading into dorm Cinder's team resided in. All eyes were on him. Cinder glared at the ex-kaioshin, Black returning the glare back. "We need to talk."

And done, CHEEZTIZ CHRIST that was long. Way longer than it needed it to be, but oh wells. I'm sure you guys noticed the Song I placed in this chapter. Yea, I was listening to it when I was writing about the part where team BAGL was having a dance battle with team JNPR. I thought it would be pretty funny. Though I didn't write any dance moves team BAGL performed because I don't really know much dancing myself, so I'll leave that to your imagination.

Anyways, again I'm sorry for the late chapter I'll try to make up for the lost time since now, I got my laptop all to myself again.

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and I'll catch you all next time PEACE!
