Hey everybody. I am back and I'm happily back to work on my stories. I'm out of college and with summer, I should hopefully get more chapters out. I've also been on a big mythology kick recently since I actually took a course in it during the semester so it inspired me to write more and expand on a few things. But enough about that. Onto the disclaimer.
Disclaimer: PJO and HOO belong to the Rick Riordan. All I own is the plot of this story and some characters.
Now onto the story.
Outside the Labyrinth, Just Before Sunrise
Scaling the wall and coming crawling out of an opening between two rocks, the scouts took their first breath of fresh air in awhile. They had been trapped in the Labyrinth for at least half a day. With how the time passes in the maze, no one was sure how many days it actually had been since they had first gone in.
Hunter looked at his exhausted men and debated settling in for the evening and resting. However, they had been out of contact for far too long and they need to complete their mission. After a couple minutes of rest. the scouting group set off again. However, they soon found themselves in another spot of trouble as they were surrounded by spearmen a quick walk away from their exit. In the screaming and confusion, someone realized what had happened and their voice was heard before all the commotion.
"Wait! Wait!" Someone called out, causing everyone to quiet down. "Hunter, is that you?"
"Nobody?" Hunter said as he pushed his way to the front of the group. His men all lowered their weapons as Nobody made himself visible.
"By the gods, man!" Nobody laughed as he embraced the scoutmaster. "We thought you had returned to Hades."
"Not yet." Hunter said returning the embrace. "What brings you so far outside the camp's borders?" Nobody's smile shifted to a frown.
"You've been gone for a week, my friend. We had no way of communicating with you. Not even the goddess Iris could find you. We thought you and your men lost so Andromeda and I came out here to finish your mission." Nobody explained as Hunter dismissed his troops, many following Nobody's to receive medical treatment, leaving only Percy at his side. "I fear this battle will end the secrecy we've enjoyed so much."
"A week? I knew time passed differently but that's insane. And what do you mean? What's going on?"
"Beyond the Trojan encampment is Lady Artemis' Hunt. Both made camp for the night but they'll be up soon enough and I fear the Trojans will make a move against the Hunt while Lady Artemis is gone. The Olympians are holding a meeting and won't be done till noon." Nobody said as they walked into the Legion's camp. "Our scouts say there is a very subtle but foul presence in the air. They say it dull the senses and let them get close to the Hunt without being spotted, a feat only your men have been able to accomplish. Whatever it is, it's directed toward the Hunt and we fear the Trojans are going to take advantage of it soon." Hunter bit his tongue to keep any outburst of anger in check. While he didn't know the hunt in this time period, he knew just how important they were to Artemis and the how much it would hurt her if something was to happen to them. "Worry not, with you and your men here, we can make sure the Hunt doesn't get involved in our war." Hunter nodded in appreciation.
"If you wish to stay angry, may I recommend you direct it at the Trojans. They still have to be dealt with." A new voice said. Behind them stood Andromeda in full armor, his helmet in one hand and a box in the other. "It's good to see your alright, cousin."
"It's nice to see you out of the camp and fighting out here with the rest of us." Hunter replied with a smile. A glint of mischief could be seen in his eyes as he teased the man.
"Yes, well someone had to pick up the slack while you took a week long vacation." Andromeda said with a wide smile. Percy watched the two as they went back and forth and couldn't help smile as the two officers reminded him of the teasing between himself and Thalia, though to a less serious and violent degree. The smile quickly went away as he realized that Thalia would be in danger if the Trojans were allowed to continue. While he didn't doubt Thalia or the Hunt's ability to defend themselves and fight back, he wanted to avoid getting them involved in another war if he could help it.
"Well besides the Ninth, we've done quite a bit to fight the Trojans. I figured my men and I could use the break." Hunter joked again before getting serious again. "We would have been here sooner but we forced off course by the hordes of monsters that occupy the Labyrinth. Their numbers have grown considerably in such a short time."
"Well I'm glad you made it out of there. However, I fear we might have to the abandon using it as a way of travel if what you say is true."
"Maybe." Hunter said, trying to think of an alternative way of travel that didn't get them spotted by the gods. "By the way, what's with the box?"
"Take one. You too, Percy." Andromeda said hold out the box for them. Opening it, they saw there were a few blue pearls in the box while the rest were a pale white. Both taking a blue one, they examined it and held it up to the light. "Those ones were a gift from Lord Poseidon to Lord Hades and his wife. Your father lost a bet so this was the reward. The others were made by the children of the Hecate with their magic. They function similarly but the white ones will return you to camp while the blue ones can transport you any body of water as long as its connected to the sea." Andromeda explained. "It's impressive work on their part. However, they are only to be used in case of emergency. You'll have to give everyone in your company one as well." Andromeda took the two blue pearls back and gave both them a white one. The two children of Poseidon frowned but still accepted the pearls. The conversation halted there as one of Nobody's men ran up to them.
"Sir, the Trojans have begun their attack. They're releasing monsters toward the Hunt's camp."
"Of course they attack at dawn. Hunter, take your men and see if you can cut the Trojans off. The Hunt should be able to handle whatever monster they throw them but once the Trojan soldiers attack, it'll be a new story. Nobody, gather the troops. We're going with your plan to march on their encampment and hit their main force from behind." Andromeda ordered. With the orders given, shouts quickly spread across the camp, calling everyone to arms and to be ready to march.
Hunter and Percy quickly found the rest of their company, rather those that were still able to fight, and left ahead of Andromeda and Nobody, moving to where they were told the Hunt's camp was in order to get between the Trojans and the Hunt. Keeping to the woods, they saw the Trojan encampment in the distance and saw the Trojan army preparing to march. However, there seemed to be a group already missing.
"That's not good. Their vanguard is already gone." Hunter said and cursed under his breath. Thoughts raced through his head when a roar erupted out of the woods and a bolt of lightning crashed into the ground in response, causing him to make his decision right there and then. "Percy, I have a really big favor to ask you."

Hunters of Artemis camp, Early Morning
Thalia never liked being woken up, even on a good day. However, waking up to the sounds of panic and confusion only worsened her mood. Getting her gear on, she rushed outside to find her hunters engaged in battle with a wide variety of monsters. Some of the hunters had made it into the trees and were raining arrows down on the monsters, each arrow claiming another beast. Others were fighting with knives and other melee weapons in hand attempting to repel the monsters before they could attack the tents where hunters were still waking and preparing. Despite their efforts, there always seemed to be more monsters to replace the ones destroyed.
"What's going on? How did they get this close?" Thalia called out to one of her hunters.
"We don't know. This horde appeared as if out of nowhere and more just keep coming." The hunter yelled back before nocking another arrow and loosing it at another monster.
Joining in the fray, Thalia extended her spear and activated her shield, the face of Medusa forcing the monster to hesitate and take a step back. Using this to their advantage, the girls of the Hunt charged forward, slashing apart every monster that got in their way. Thalia became a force of nature in her own right. No monster was a match for her.
She pierced through a Empousa with her spear, slammed the rim of her shield into its face to remove it before sweeping the legs out from underneath another one. The monster meet its end as her spear pierced through its midsection. When a Dracaena attempt to slash her, she blocked it with her shield, sending enough electricity through the shield and into the monster resulting in it exploding into golden dust from holding onto the now electrified weapons. For the next couple of minutes, small arcs of electricity danced across her body as she was showered in golden dust as she continued to slay any monster around her.
Hearing the roar of Laistrygonian Giants and Cyclops, she raised her spear and felt the pulling feeling in her stomach build up as bolt of lightning crashed into her spear and she redirected it toward the monsters. The bolt ripped through several of giants and cyclops, reducing them to dust. However, there was still more monsters in that wave charging at her while she was trying to regain herself after expending such a large amount of energy.
Bracing with her shield, she let stone thrown from one of the remaining giants glance off her shield as she thrust her spear into the chest of cyclops, who began thrashing angrily at the pain. A cyclops tried to grab her while she tried to rip her spear out but its back was filled with arrows until it exploded. Once her spear was free, she quickly reinserted it into another Cyclops, this time into its eye causing it explode when she sent several thousand volts of electricity into its skull.
Backing off, Thalia got ready to charge in again despite her growing fatigue but hearing cheers of victory from some of the other hunters caused her to pause. Thalia looked around and saw monster were starting to clear out, with the hunters turning the remaining monsters into pincushions with their arrows. However, before anymore celebrations could be had, the sound of jars shattering echoed through the forest as nearby a thick purple fog began rolling into the Hunt's camp.
Those caught in it began to feel their bodies grow heavy, some even losing consciousness as they were exposed to it. Seeing this, several of the girls began to move back to avoid it until there was nowhere else to go while Thalia concentrated on pulling feeling in her stomach. She found some resistance against her command over the wind but soon, the wind picked up and the fog began to roll away from the camp and dissipated entirely.
As she opened her eyes, she could see several of the girls around her slipped into unconsciousness, noting that it was the non-demigods in the group. The demigods, like herself, however, were still standing but the exhaustion they felt made them fight to keep consciousness. Exhausted, she was about to order the ones remaining to check on the others when a war horn blew and the war cries of men filled the air.
"Girls," Thalia panted as she tiredly raised her spear, "Let's show 'em who they're messing with." The other hunters let out a tired cheer and chuckled as the first group of the soldiers charged them. They were lightly armored. Most likely scouts or skirmishers. The hunters that could still draw back a bow did so and with practiced precision, disposed of as many as they could before they got too close and were forced to draw their knives. Despite their exhausted state, the Hunt put up quite the fight, taking out multiple enemy combatants before their own numbers started to dwindle, either from exhaustion or injury.
Soon it was only Thalia left standing, breathing hard as she shoved her spear through a man before kicking him off the spear tip. She did her best not to dwell on the fact they were fighting and killing actual people. Leaning on her spear as exhaustion caught up to her, she looked at the short shield wall that had formed, the men behind it clad in bronze armor, not recognizing the armor from any of the lengthy history lesson about armor Annabeth had given her in the past. Reaching into herself, she tried to draw out more lightning only to find nothing. She had no energy left to call upon her powers.
Attempting to stand, Thalia tried to take up a defensive stance when she realized that her none of her aggressors made any move to attack her and their attention seemed to be focused on something beside her. It was then that dulled senses picked up someone approaching her. As she turned, she caught the sight of a man a few feet behind her in jeans and blue long sleeved shirt with a bronze chestpiece, greaves, and leather and bronze bracers as protection. On top of his head was a Corinthian style helmet that, even as she looked at him from the front, showed nothing of the man's face.
The man seemed to pay her no mind as he walked passed her and stood between her and her attackers. For a moment, she was confused as the man was seemingly unarmed. It didn't bother the newcomer as he just crossed his arms and shifted his weight to his back foot. Uncertain what to make of this new development, one man with slightly more ornate armor stepped forward out of the shield wall to address the man.
"You have no place here, stranger. This is between us and Artemis' cult. Turn around and walk away and we will let you live. This I swear to you on the good name of my father, Priam, the last king of Troy." The officer said with conviction and a hint of annoyance in his voice. "I will only give this one warning."
"Priam? Why is he being brought up here? Who are these people and what did we ever do to them?" Thalia thought to herself as she leaned back on her spear. Her breathing got heavier and she found it difficult to stay awake. The hoplite continued to say nothing. He just continued to stand there, unimpressed with the implication of the threat.
"If you wish you're life to be forfeit then so be it." The man said. "Know that I, Kebriones, gave you the chance to live and you ignored it." The man said as he gestured for one of his soldiers to step forward. "Kill him." One of the skirmishers stepped forward with their sword and walked over to the hoplite. The man's first swing was dodged with practiced grace as was the swing after that. After the third swing, the hoplite pulled out something that quickly became a sword. With a quick slash, the Trojan felt his throat get cut and fell over dead in seconds.
As he stood there once again in his casual stance with his sword remaining out, Thalia couldn't shake the feeling the weapon looked familiar to her. Blinking the growing blurriness from her eyes, she saw the trident in at the base of the blade and her breath left her when she realized why.
"Percy?" She tried to take a couple of steps forward but didn't get very far as she stumbled. Before she could hit the ground, she felt someone catch her and immediately knew who it was. Looking up, she looked up at the silent, faceless man and smiled. At this range, she could just see his sea green eyes peeking out from the darkness of the helm and relaxed in his grip as the familiar scent of sea washed over her. "Thanks. Mind taking off your helmet." He was remained silent but she could see the conflict in his eyes. Finally, he spoke up.
"Only if you don't shock me." Percy's voice slipped out of the shadows of the helmet and Thalia couldn't help but smile at him. "How'd you figure out it was me?"
"Your sword. The trident was a big giveaway. And I don't have the energy to shock you. If I did, those idiots in the metal armor wouldn't be standing." She could hear him chuckle and she brought a hand up to his helmet to remove it but he stopped her.
"Not yet. I still gotta fight off these guys. Can't have them harming you or the hunters anymore than they have." Percy said. He looked over to her attackers and she did the same. They were still standing there, carefully observing them with curious eyes. Kebriones had his hand out stopping the others from walking forward and attacking them.
"We could have fought them off but there was this weird fog that rolled in that started putting people to sleep." She said. The fatigue was evident in her voice and it concerned Percy slightly. "Who are they anyway?"
"Don't know. Why don't I go over there and ask?" Percy said as he lowered her to the ground to sit. Despite the joking manner he said it in, there was an subtle edge to his voice. "Rest for now. I'll deal with them." With a bit of effort, she punched him in the shoulder.
"I don't need your protection." Thalia said with half-hearted glare but she felt her eyelids getting heavier. "But that rest does sound nice right about now." Her vision started getting fuzzy as her consciousness finally began leaving her. "Give me a few to catch my breath and then I can kick their asses and yours." Percy chuckled once again as he laid her down on her back.
"I know you can." He replied. Thalia just hummed in response with a smile. "Don't worry. I won't let any of them touch you." It was the last thing she heard before her consciousness finally left her and the world faded to black.
Percy looked over Thalia a moment longer, biting back his growing anger as he reminded himself that she was only unconscious and not dead. Turning back to the Trojans, he picked Riptide back up and stepped away from Thalia. Standing tall, he looked at the Trojans and nodded slowly in appreciation for them waiting. It was a rather noble thing for them to do when many others would have just attacked him immediately. However, this would not save them from his wrath.
"You're outnumbered and have little hope of winning. It was the least we can do for someone who is about to die." Kebriones said, still sporting an uncaring look on his face, seeming to have understood the meaning behind the nod. "However, I hope you said your goodbyes. Your time and theirs has come to an end." With a wave of his hand, the shield wall marched forward ready to engage him, led by Palmys. Percy just gripped his sword tighter. As the shield wall came closer, he flipped the sword in his hand and stabbed into the ground. For a moment, nothing happened but then the ground started to shake and ground split apart.
Using his powers to control it, a fissure opened up in the middle of the Trojan shield wall, breaking their formation. It was at this moment a storm of arrows shot out of the trees, finding their mark in the unsuspecting Trojans. Adding to the confusion, a war cry accompanied the next volley and a group of soldiers ran out of the surrounding areas, slamming in the Trojan's flanks.
Kebriones gritted his teeth as he watched his men struggle to fight back. The sudden appearance of these new combatants changed everything for him. Hearing something behind him, he quickly turned just in time to block and sword strike from another hoplite. Pushing the blade to the side, he headbutted the Greek, causing a slight ring in his own helmet, before plunging his sword into their collar.
"Dolon!" Kebriones shouted as he pushed the corpse off his blade. The Trojan scout in a wolf skin and weasel-skin cap pushed back his attack and turned to illegitimate prince. "Return to rest of the army and inform them of what is happening here." Dolon nodded and disengaged from his fight as someone else distracted his opponent and took off running. "The rest of you with me!" Kebriones ordered as he drove his sword through the back of a Greek soldier fighting one of his men and tossed the body to the side. Reinvigorating his troops, he and his troops fought their ambushers.
Despite their best efforts, they were slowly getting outmatched. The ones that attack him and his men were skilled, that he could see. He watched as a few of the men around him fell to their new enemy. Even he was struggling to keep in pace with them as he was more accustomed to fighting on a chariot. As a Greek soldier knocked him to the ground with a bash from a shield, the final blow was intercepted by the one of his men, who was able to put the Greek on the defensive and push them away for the moment. Kebriones took the moment to observe the battlefield.
He witnessed the hoplite from earlier cut down several of his soldier with trained precision before engaging Palmys is battle and quickly put the Trojan officer on the defensive. The rest of his men were being pushed back as well. They weren't prepared for a counterattack by trained soldiers. Most had expected an easy victory over an exhausted Hunt. Now they were faced with an unknown enemy that was proving to be more than a match for his soldiers. Kebrones gritted his teeth as he stood up. They were being left with little options.
"Regroup with the rest of the army." Kebriones yelled as he stood up. The soldiers around him looked to him in almost disbelief. "Everyone, fall back and regr-urk!" Kebriones felt something pierce through him. It was a familiar pain and one he was hoping he won't have to experience again. Looking down, he saw a javelin pierced through him, the tip sticking a foot out of his chest. Shakily turning around, he looked at another group of Greek soldiers and the man who had thrown the weapon that would be his demise. There stood an armored knight, still in his throwing stance, and another Greek soldier with a blue plume on his helmet, an officer much like him, holding a captured Dolon at sword point. Turning back to battlefield in front of him, Kebriones watched as Percy tripped Palmys. The Trojan man fell onto Riptide, the sword piercing through his neck and the Greek demigod pushing the now lifeless corpse off his blade.
With his vision fading, Kebriones used his last breaths to curse gods one last time and wish the rest of the Trojans victory in their future battles as he collapsed and his soul was sent back to Hades.

Some time later
With both battles over, the Hunt's camp was filled with activity as female Legion personnel made sure to everything was set up and the hunters were taken care of. The males, with the exception of Hunter, Percy, Andromeda, and Nobody, were sent to hunt down and eliminate the Trojans that ran when they were routed. Now the three Legion leaders were standing over Dolon, the scout captured during the fighting.
"Well isn't this a surprise!" Nobody said with a chuckle as he walked over to Dolon. "It's been quite a long time Dolon. Tell me, did Hector ever give you those horse you wanted?"
"Who are you and how do you know who am I?" Dolon questioned back.
"Who I am is unimportant, my friend. However, the things you know are." Nobody said, his voice taking on a serious tone. "Tell us what you know of the Trojan plans here and I'll see to that you don't lose your head this time." Nobody pat Dolon's cheek twice as crouched in front of him.
"How do you kno-...you were there." Dolon looked at Nobody with wide eyes that held a spark of fear in them. "You were took part in the war. Was once not enough for you that you must take part in the destruction of our home and people again?!"
"I took no pleasure in killing your people but I swore an oath that day in Sparta along with every other man there. It was your prince that started that war when he abducted Helen. You have no one else to blame but Paris. Even Cassandra tried warning Priam and Hecuba about what would happen if they accepted him." It was a bit of hindsight now but Nobody made sure to research as much as he could about what the modern day had about the Greek myths, figuring it would prove to be useful eventually.
"You have no right to say their name. Cassandra was a fool and liar, Achaean. You know that." Dolon said with venom in his words. "Enough of this. I have nothing to say to you and you will get nothing from me so you're wasting your time and breath. " Nobody just chuckled.
"You will, Trojan. I assure you, you will." Nobody and the two guards dragged the Trojan scout into a Legion tent that was set up outside the Hunt's camp. Andromeda and Hunter just watched Nobody as he walked away with raised eye brows before following him in.
In the other side of the camp, Percy was seated next to Thalia with his head rest on his hands as she rested the medical tent alongside many of her fellow hunters. Legion medics were going over and checking over all of the members of the Hunt to make sure no adverse effects had befallen them due their exposure to the gas Percy had told them about. Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Percy looked up and saw Sarah, who just gently squeezed his shoulder.
"She's going to fine. From what we could tell, she's only suffering from severe fatigue. Nothing fatal." Percy let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"What about the rest of the Hunt?" He asked as he stood up. While his main concern was Thalia, he was worried about the rest of the Hunt.
"No fatalities thankfully. We managed to stabilize even the more seriously wounded hunters. They'll be required to take it easy for awhile but they'll live."
"That's good." Percy said.
"Now I have to make my report to the Commander. Feel free to stay here a while longer to watch over your friend but be ready to move. I'm suggesting we pack up and leave in case some of the hunters wake up or worse, Lady Artemis comes back."
"But we can't leave them like this. They're defenseless until they wake up." Percy protested despite paling slightly over the thought of Artemis coming back and find him sitting in a tent full of unconscious hunters. No amount of goodwill or reputation would save him in that situation.
"I'll bring it up with Hunter and we'll think of something so we don't leave them unprotected." Sarah said with smile before finally walking out. Percy just let out another sigh and took a his seat back to next to Thalia. As he closed his eyes again and rest his head in his hands, he heard her mumbling and unconsciously reaching out to grab something. Leaning closer, he realized what she was mumbling about was her looking for him. Taking her hand in his and giving it a gentle squeeze, he pulled his chair closer with his foot.
"Don't worry, I'm right here, Thals. Everything is okay." He said quietly to her. She stopped any kind of movement and went back to quietly resting with a slight smile. Percy just chuckled to himself and settled back into his seat, waiting for the order to move out again.
Back outside, the three officers walked out of the tent, having learned everything they could from their captive.
"He broke remarkably easily." Hunter said, unimpressed by the man in tent. Nobody had barely touched him before he told everything he knew. All he really did was lead him on with talk, reveal who he was, and the scout was spilling all his secrets. "Why was he so terrified of you?"
"Diomedes and I were responsible for his death last time. He gave up all he knew very quickly back then as well. Where the Trojans allies were, their strengths, everything we ask. Diomedes then decapitated him." Nobody explained. "Dolon was never a proper warrior. He focused on making sure he got out alive over anything else. He was the fastest runner among the Trojans but when he was caught he immediately begged for his life and tried to negotiate to be sold back to his wealthy father."
"That seems a little unnecessary to kill him if he was willing to be a captive."
"I cannot speak for Diomedes. Maybe Lady Athena had revealed something to him when she helped him catch the man but I had all intentions of letting him live. I had even given him my word that would do so."
"What about now?" Andromeda asked.
"I have given him no such word. Should he act out of line, or attempt to escape then his head will be forfeit once more." Nobody said with a shrug.
"You're not executing prisoners, are you?" Sarah asked as she walked up to the three.
"Any harm that befalls him will be his own doing. You have nothing to worry about from us." Nobody reassured.
"Find out anything useful?"
"I have. I found out that the Titan Lelantos was here prior to the battle and that it was his presence that we felt while scouting. It was because of him that the Trojans and the monsters were able to get so close to the Hunt without being seen. His presence can still be felt despite his departure before the battle began." Nobody explained.
"He also told us that the strange fog that Percy telling us about was because of some new weapon they were testing. Supposedly, it targets the mortal part of demigods and makes them fatigued while putting full mortals to sleep. Thankfully, this was the only batch they made and is non-lethal unless inhaled for extended periods of time and the ones who made it was killed in the battle." Andromeda added, remembering the demigods within the rank of Tojans using magic with a shudder.
"Indeed. A weapons like that would devastate the Legion. We draw many of our numbers from clear-sighted mortals and people who have had their eyes opened to our world. I shudder at the thought of what it would have done to us."
"Wait, how did they even make something like that? It doesn't make any sense." Sarah said trying to wrap her head around such a thing. "Was it some kind of chemical weapon? Biological?" She didn't even know where to start for coming up with a treatment for it, let alone some way to counteract it.
"I don't know but we found the remnants of it vases they were in and my men said it reeked of magic." Hunter said. Sarah gave him a pointed look of disbelief. "Jacen was the one who told me and he is more knowledgeable than I in that regard. We collected the remains to be examined by the children of Hecate at camp." Sarah could only sigh in frustration. "So on to you, what do you got for us?"
"All the hunters are taken care of. Despite our own causalities, the Hunt will suffer none." Sarah explained.
"That's good." Hunter said, releasing a breath he didn't know he was holding. Noticing the look on her face, he spoke up again. "Is anything else the matter? You look concerned."
"It's just Percy brought up a good point when I talked to him in the medical tent. He was concerned about leaving the Hunt undefended when we moved out. I told him I'd bring it up with you when I reported in." Sarah explained. "Truthfully, I think he's really just worried about the daughter of Zeus. He hasn't left her side since the battle ended."
"I'm not surprised. I've never seen someone push themselves so hard to get somewhere until I told him to go on ahead to help the Hunt. He cares very much for her and his loyalty toward her only helps drive him forward." Hunter chuckled. "As for the Hunt, he's right. We can't leave them the way they are unprotected."
"Any ideas?" Andromeda asked with his arms crossed.
"I have one but its a bit risky."
"I'll leave it in your hands. In the mean time, Nobody, get the men ready to move. We've overstayed our welcome. Artemis will be back soon now that Lelantos' power is wearing off." Andromeda said, feeling the uncomfortable feeling of before fading. Nobody and Sarah nodded and following along.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thalia awoke with a groan as she attempted to sit up only to be gently pushed back down. Trying to look through blurriness, she saw a head of messy black hair standing over her.
"Percy?" She managed to get out.
"Try again, ma'am. I don't know what was going on in your head while you were unconscious but there are no boys here, not even your boyfriend." A clearly female voice responded in a teasing manner. Blinking the blurriness out of her eyes, she looked up at the girl in a hunter's uniform above her. Along with her black hair were Asian features that fit the girl well but Thalia didn't notice as she attempted to sit up again. This was met with her once again being pushed down with a much more firm tone. "Take it easy, lieutenant. It's only been a few hours. You shouldn't even be awake right now. Your body still need time to recover."
"What happened?" Thalia asked, ignoring the girl and pushing her hand off her shoulder as she forced herself to sit up once more. Taking a look around the room, she saw the hunters in the tent either still unconscious while others were awake and being treated by their sisters.
"We're not sure. I remember a fighting the monsters back but then a weird fog rolled in and then I blacked out. After that, I just remember waking up in a tent with everyone patched up and the camp fixed." the girl explained. "By the time I woke up, some of the other girls were already awake but they said that no one was here when they woke up." Thalia thought over the information given to her and ran her thumb on the beaded necklace that was in her hand. Stopping suddenly, she looked at the object in her hand she knew she didn't have before. To her surprise, it was a camper's necklace. "That's a cute necklace. Kinda like the ones from Camp Half-Blood."
"That's cause it is." Thalia said. "But this isn't mine. Mine didn't have this many beads on it."
"I figured it wasn't your when I saw the trident. Did you know one of Poseidon's children?" The hunter pointed to a bead. True to her word, there was a trident marked on it. Looking through the rest of them, she saw ones for adventures that she had heard about when talking visiting the camp and some she got to experience. She let out a relieved sigh knowing that Percy had actually been there and it wasn't her mind making up what she wanted to see. The questions in her mind now were where did he go and why did he leave. The rest of her thoughts were interrupted when another hunter ran in.
"Thalia, Lady Artemis has returned and is looking for you." The girl said.
"Tell milady that the lieutenant is in here recovering." The hunter said before Thalia could respond. The girl looked a bit taken back and looked to Thalia for confirmation, who just nodded before looking back at the hunter next to her. "What? I know you're gonna push yourself to make sure all the girls are okay and not everything got ruined. As a daughter of Athena and aspiring medic, I have a certain authority when it comes to the well-being of other people." Thalia looked at her questioningly and raised an eyebrow. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to run away before Lady Artemis smites me for thinking I can tell her what to do." That got a chuckle out of Thalia as the girl threw up her hood and walked out.
As she got to the tent flap, it was pushed opened as Artemis walked in. The Goddess' eyes landed on the hunter and girl paled considerably as she bow low and quickly made her away around the goddess before escaping the tent. With the girl gone, Artemis turned to her lieutenant and Thalia knew that she had a great deal to explain to the goddess. However, the goddess' first question confused her more than anything else that happened that morning.
"Thalia, who was that?"

And that's a wrap. Thank you so much for being here and reading. I do apologize for the wait. I realized I started this chapter while during the summer and finally finished it 7 weeks into semester. Being a junior in college sucks and I also started work so that not fun either but I'm still alive. Slow and steady I guess.
Something to note for this chapter, I went with the design for Riptide from the second Percy Jackson movie. Despite it being an sorta okay movie (I personally enjoyed it) I like some of the designs they did in that movie, especially the one for Percy's sword. Seriously look it up. Its a nice looking sword I would be willing to drop a couple hundred on to own.
Anyways, what did you think of this chapter? Like it? Hate it? Somewhere in between? Let me know with a comment/review or shoot me a PM if that's more your style.
Thanks again and as always, have a great day.
