His life has changed in the last eight months. He moved from shared student accommodation, into a swanky penthouse suite. He lost his mum. He met the most annoying arsehole, who was rude and cold - yet through some miracle, Eren, had discovered that this wasn't the case - okay, maybe Levi was still rude and could be a bit of an arsehole, but cold? No. He was very tender, thoughtful and caring. Maybe, only to him, but Eren rather liked it that way. Eight months ago he was single, now; now he was in a relationship with a guy who he already admitted to, that he loved him.

Eight months may not seem like long, however, in that time Levi had done so much for him, been there through some very difficult times. Had helped him through, grief, anxiety and panic attacks. Tolerated his wild mood swings, his clingy-ness and even stopped driving for a while to help Eren. Levi was...he was...everything. So yeah, he didn't think saying I love you after eight months was too soon. Besides Eren couldn't help remind himself, Levi had said it too.

He felt Levi roll over next to him, "What the hell have you got to smile about at this time in the morning?" Levi asked, his voice gruff.

Eren took in Levi, soaking up this happy feeling of waking up next to him, having him so close.

"Stop it, it's fucking creepy," Levi mumbled as he shifted closer to Eren, to rest his head on Eren's shoulder.

This caused Eren to chuckle, "I can't stop, I'm so lucky." He admits.

Levi nips Eren's shoulder, "Shut up, you fucking sap'"

"Make me," Eren challenges.

Levi grunts, "It's stupid o'clock, go back to sleep, Brat."

"Night," Eren returns, kissing Levi's temple.

When he wakes again, Levi is awake, he's sat on the edge of the bed putting his shoes on. He turns to look at Eren, "Hey, sleeping beauty," he greets, "I have to meet Erwin, he wants to have a business meeting before the signing."

Eren screws up his face, "I thought we'd have all morning together,"

The bed dips as Levi climbs closer to Eren, "Sorry," Levi apologises looking genuinely so. "I'll make it up to you."

Eren is grinning now, "Oh yeah?"

"Get your mind out of the gutter," he chastised.

"I'm holding you to your promise," Eren states as he accepts a kiss from Levi.

"I didn't promise," Levi points out, but adds, "Fine, I promise to make it up to you," after seeing Eren pulling his hurt puppy expression.

They kiss again, then Levi gets off the bed, grabs his briefcase and heads out.

Eren sulks in bed for a bit, before giving in and getting up and getting dressed. He wonders what he can do today. He doesn't fancy sitting through another book signing, and staying inside the hotel room all day seems boring too. He decides to go window shopping.

An hour into his shopping and he's stumbled across a tea shop, he enters and decides he'll pick something nice up for Levi. Levi adored his tea, maybe something special and new would be good. He had no idea how many types of tea there were in the world. Each one sounded amazing but fucked if he knew which was the best for Levi. He sought help from the shop assistant, giving them a description of Levi, how he barely slept, the current tea he drank and his general tastes in foods etc Half an hour later and his bank account was nearly empty and he had a batch of Tienchi Flower Tea. Apparently, according to the assistant, it is one of the healthiest teas, known for its medicinal uses. It can be used to cure several ailments including allergies and insomnia, other than displaying strong detoxifying properties.

He's sure Levi had probably tried all sorts for his insomnia but hey, it's worth a shot and it was nice to repay him after their expensive meal last night, he never did buy a bottle to take back with them, so he was making it up to Levi.

It was strange to think in a few months time Hanji would return and he would...well, he didn't know what he would do. University would be over, he would technically be homeless and fuck knows what he wanted to do for a career. He strolled back to the hotel, placing the gift for Levi on the sideboard. Glancing around the room he could tell that the maid had been.

Knowing he would not be disturbed, Eren kicked off his shoes and climbed into bed for a nap. He did not wake when Levi returned, or when Levi carefully climbed onto the bed to curl himself around him. Eren stirred in his sleep but soon drifted back into a deep sleep.

About an hour later, he woke and was surprised to find that Levi was back, he hadn't heard him come in. He loved watching Levi when he was sleeping, it was a rare thing considering Levi rarely slept, and Eren was usually the last to wake.

Levi woke slowly, he glanced up at Eren and sent him a small warm smile, "Dealing with people takes it out of me. I couldn't resist napping when I came in and saw that you were sleeping." He explains as he moves to sit up next to Eren.

Eren glances across the room and hops off the bed, "Oh, yeah," he proclaims, "I got you a gift whilst I was out," he snatches the bad off of the sideboard and walks over to Levi, handing him the paper bag that held the tea.

Levi frowns at the bag, taking it with caution, the last 'gift', was handcuffs, not like he was complaining, he rather liked that gift.

He was taken aback to realise it was tea inside. He held it in his hand, staring down at the tea.

Seeing Levi stare blankly at the tea made Eren nervous, he began reiterating what the guy in the shop had said, "It's Tienchi Flower tea...er..." he starts pulling at the cuff of his hoodie, "It's meant..." he doesn't get to try and explain his choice, as Levi had wrapped his arms around Eren's waist from where he was sat on the bed. His forehead resting against Eren's stomach.

"Uh...so...do you like it?" Eren asks.

He feels Levi hug him tighter, maybe he couldn't quite express how he was feeling so he chose to show Eren instead.

"You're welcome," Eren states around a grin.

They stay like that for a short while, Eren rubbing his hand over the nape of Levi's neck. Levi moves and grabs onto Eren's hoodie to pull him down for a kiss.

It's slow and sensual, Levi lays down and Eren climbs on top. They kiss for a ridiculous amount of time, Eren is feeling giddy and completely smitten with Levi.

"What do you say we get room service and stay holed up in this room for the remainder of the night?" Levi asks as he trails his fingers softly down Eren's arm.

"Sounds great," Eren admits, "Maybe, we can order strawberries and whipped cream for dessert." He adds on with a smirk, thinking of feeding Levi strawberries and licking whipped cream off of his body.

Levi arches an eyebrow, lifting Eren by his hips and moving off of him and onto the bed next to him. He reaches for the phone and places the order, strawberries and cream included.

The whole book tour had been mentally draining, and Levi was glad he had insisted on taking his car instead of being chauffeured around. He glanced across to Eren who was asleep, his head resting against the window. That brat, he could sleep anywhere, Levi thought. To be fair Levi had kept Eren awake last night, they were having far too much fun with the cream and strawberries.

He grins as he remembers one particular instance, and is lost to his memory that he jumps when Eren sleepily asks, "Why are you smiling? Who are you going to kill?"

"Tch," Levi responds, "You for making me jump, you prat."

"How long until we're home?" Eren asks, sitting up straighter and rubbing his eyes.

It left Levi feeling warm inside (not like he would ever admit that) to hear Eren call the penthouse home in such a way that indicated he felt comfortable, secure and settled with Levi and their apartment.

"Impatient, Brat!" He teases, "About half an hour," he cannot wait to get home and brew the specialist tea Eren had gotten him. He had done some research and was shocked when he found out how expensive it was.

Eren had a small holdall and Levi a suitcase, they stood in the elevator waiting to reach the top floor, both exhausted and dying to just be back to normality.

As Levi turns the key in the lock he halts, causing Eren to walk into his back, "Huh?" Eren asks.

"Someone has been here," he grits out in a hushed tone.

They leave their luggage in the hall, Levi slowly opens the door and steps inside, Eren following closely behind. They glance around and Eren can see why Levi knew someone had been here.

The place looks as if it has been ransacked. However, once Eren takes a closer look he is baffled, "What kind of burglar would eat and leave their dirty dishes as they robbed the place?"

Levi shoots a glare at the offending dirty dishes, "Shitty glasses," he seethes.

"Shitty glasses?" Eren asks bewildered by that response.

Levi does not explain and stomps off towards the bathroom and bedrooms, in search of whoever shitty glasses was. Eren follows him, ready to stop him from killing someone. Levi looks furious and anger is rolling off of him, reminiscent of those first days when Eren first moved in.

He opens the bathroom and his bedroom door, no one, he goes to Eren's old room as he now shares with Levi, nothing. Although there is a dirty looking rucksack on his bed and clothes everywhere scattered across the floor. There are dirty cups and plates, that look like they' ve been in the room for days.

Eren cringes, he had guessed by the backpack that it must be Hanji and he winces just thinking about the bollocking they will get when Levi finds them.

They turn around to stare once they hear, "Oh, hello boys," from behind them. Eren grabs hold of the back of Levi's trousers stopping him from stepping forward.

"I didn't expect you home so soon, maybe I got my days mixed up, still trying to adjust to the time zones," They said casually as if Levi wasn't giving them the deadliest of looks.

"I could say the same about you. What are you doing home so early?" He manages to say.

Hanji puts down their bag of groceries and smiles sheepishly, "Would you believe me if I said I missed you too much?"

"No," Levi coolly says.

Hanji shrugs, "Well I did." They look around, "Sorry about the miss, I honestly thought you wouldn't be home until tomorrow."

When Levi does nothing but glare at them, Hanji turns their gaze to Eren and they squeal, "You must be, Eren," Hanji announces full of excitement. They dash across the living room, side-stepping Levi and pulling Eren into a bone-crushing hug.

They take a step back and smile widely, "Oh my, look at you. My, my, my." They say with glee.

Levi grabs the back of their top and dargs Hanji away from Eren, "No touching, four eyes." He warns. He hugs Hanji briefly, he may hate the mess but he was pleased to see them.

"Now clean this mess before I kick you out and make you homeless," he warns. He walks away to fetch their luggage, opening the suitcase sorting out any laundry that needs doing.

Eren feels a bit awkward, so starts collecting all the dirty glasses and cups, taking them over to the kitchen counter.

"You've trained him well," Hanji jokes.

Eren snorts, "I know from first-hand experience that leaving dirty cups out is one sure way to be potentially murdered in your sleep," he explains.

Levi ignores them, shitty brat and shitty glasses bonding over their joint experiences with him.

It may have taken a few hours, but between the three of them the apartment is looking like it should - clean, organised and not like it had been ransacked.

Levi is at the counter finally brewing a batch of his flower tea. Hanji and Eren on the sofa, completely exhausted from their speed cleaning.

"I guess you want your room back?" Eren asks, rolling his head to turn to face Hanji.

Hanji was starfished on the sofa, "Yeah, if that's okay?" they ask, feeling guilty for coming home four months early. Travelling was nice and all, but they had run out of money, was homesick, and needed to come back.

Eren bites his bottom lip, technically he hadn't been in his/Hanji's room for a long time, he had been living and sleeping in Levi's room. Yet, it was nice to know it was there as an option. However, he couldn't exactly say no.

"Of curse, it's okay." He replies smiling at them.

"Good, because I've been back for a couple of days now and I've already left some of my stuff in there," they point towards their room.

"Hey, at least you won't have to pay rent anymore," they joke trying to ease the situation.

Eren frowns, "Erm...yeah I guess," he looks at Levi as Levi places a tray on the coffee table, loaded with a teapot and enough cups for all of them.

"Just because Eren, isn't renting a room anymore, he will still be using the commodities and eating the food, so he'll have to pay some form of housekeeping." Levi casually remarks, feeling a lot calmer now the place is clean.

Stupidly Eren blurts, "So I can stay?"

He regrets it when both Levi and Hanji stare at him. Hanji declares Eren to be the cutest fucking thing ever, to which Levi barks at her to not even think about it. Whatever it was, they stop, and they cross their arms and pout.

Levi hands Eren a cup of tea, "Of course you can stay, there is no way I'll let you move out. You can continue to stay in my room with me." He states, then for to Eren's astonishment Levi's cool demeanour drops for a split second, concern etched on his features, "That is if you want to?"

Eren closes the gap between them, kissing Levi firmly, "Yeah, I want to." He grins as they break apart, his eyes never leaving Levi's.

"OMG!" Hanji bellows and Levi throws a cushion at her, "Fuck off,"

Hanji stands and takes their tea, "I have some calls to make, getting my stuff out of storage and all," they say as they head to their room.

Eren suspects Hanji is simply giving them some space to be alone together, and he's thankful.

"I like, Hanji," Eren announces, sipping his tea and humming, "this is good," he calls as he lifts his cup slightly.

"The novelty will wear off, Hanji is a pain," Levi retorts, "and yes this tea is perfect, thank you," he genuinely says as it's his turn to close the gap and kiss Eren.

He had always wondered what it would be like when Hanji returned, but the reality was nothing like he had imagined. Hanji was brilliant, weird, lacked the concept of personal space, but brilliant. Watching how they and Levi interacted was hilarious, also reading between the lines and seeing how much they cared for one another was heartwarming.

Levi had arranged an official welcome back party for Hanji and had invited everyone, same people that had attended the very first party that Levi hosted, the one where Eren drank too much and was insanely jealous of Petra.

Eren looked around the room, seeing all the happy smiling people, feeling like he belonged here, by Levi's side was enough for now. He had a few months left of university, then his exam results, after that he would worry about a career and his future, for now, he will live in the moment. Enjoy being surrounded by amazing people, but most of all thankful he had responded to that ad for a room to let all those months ago, as he now has Levi.

He pulled Levi in for an embrace, not caring that Levi disliked public displays of affection, "I love you," he announced.

Levi tutted, "You always get emotionally honest when drunk," he tells Eren, but kisses him and adds in a whisper, "I love you too,"
