AN: So first off I want to apologize for how long I've been gone. It wasn't my intention to be gone this long, but things kept happening and writing kept getting further and further pushed back. Suffice to say it's been a heck of a year for me. I'm sorry to anyone I let down.

However, I'm back but will mostly be focusing on this story and maybe a few one-shots for now. I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 8: Bar Meet Ups.

Jaune had been scared after getting that note to the point of almost leaving his dorm and getting a hotel. However, in the end, he slept in his dorm as usual and thankfully nothing bad had happened since then.

He hadn't talked with Ruby about it ether. Although she attempted to talk with him about Pyrrha in general to try and find out if she had done anything else to him in the past, he did his best to dodge the conversation. Thankfully, Ruby eventually picked up on the hint and hadn't bugged him about any details since.

Other than the note incident, things went pretty smoothly the rest of the week and soon enough the weekend was upon him. He had planned to meet Cinder at Junior's along with Ruby, but unfortunately, he wasn't sure if Emerald and Mercury were going to make it, while Adam apparently had a date with Blake that night. The thought made Jaune shiver, but there wasn't much he could do regarding that.

Part of him thought about maybe even inviting Weiss after her change in attitude seemed genuine, but he still felt awkward about the idea and decided against it. Now if Ruby, on the other hand, were to invite her, he wouldn't be against it, but that was on her and he wasn't going to say anything.

So far, however, he hadn't heard anything of Ruby bringing Weiss along.

Ultimately, they decided to take the airship into town rather than have one of them drive, as they all planned on drinking anyway. (That and the fact that Jaune didn't have a car.)

"Been a long time since I actually took an airship into town." Cinder remarked as they got off of the airship.

"Really? I use it all the time! I'm too lazy to drive." Ruby grinned.

"I'm just without a car." Jaune said somewhat dejectedly.

The city was bustling with people: every weekend the amount of people downtown would seemingly double, as people scurried from their working lives to the escapism offered there. Thankfully, they didn't have far to go so they wouldn't have to dodge the vast swathes of people mingling downtown and going into clubs or bars. This was almost the equivalent of an entertainment district.

"Oh, yeah! Is Weiss coming Ruby?" Cinder asked as they neared Junior's.

"Nope, she has plans with my friends Ren and Nora tonight, so it's just us and the twins... Unless Emerald and Mercury can make it."

Jaune smiled a bit at that. At least he wouldn't have to feel as awkward hanging out with her outside of class. As conflicted as he felt about seeing her still. He suspected that he would be needing Weiss's help to pass his math class for the rest of the semester. It was an awkward feeling, to need help from her, but what was he supposed to do? Fail?

"Gotcha. I still haven't heard from those two, so it's just as and the twins tonight." Cinder said, rolling her shoulders.

The trio made their way into the club and as expected of a weekend it was damn busy. All kinds of people were dancing, drinking, and having a raucous good time. Preoccupied as they were a few male eyes did look in their direction as they walked in. Not all that unexpected since the two girls with Jaune we gorgeous.

Ruby wore a black strapped almost steampunk- like corset, along with a red mini skirt with matching black leggings and heels also sporting a cute black choker. She was basically the hottest alternative girl Jaune really knew.

Cinder herself was more plainly dressed, wearing matching black short shorts with a black crop top and heels.

Fuck's sake he felt like he stood out like a sore thumb next to these hotties with his black hoodie and blue jeans. It showed they had more experience going out to party compared to Jaune. Even Ruby, who had always seemed to be an awkward dork clearly had time to perfect her gothic looks. She pulled it off far better now than she did as a freshman.

Guess she really did break out of her shell… He was sure it wouldn't have been a stretch to say that Yang probably helped her a lot with that.

"Heh, with all these guys looking at you Ruby I hope we don't lose you too early." Cinder teased.

"What the hell does that mean? I bet most of them are looking at you." The rose retorted.

"I'm pretty sure they are looking at both of you and wondering why you're with a dork like me." Jaune chuckled.

"Aww, don't worry Jaune. I'm not going anywhere. Besides, you owe me some drinks if I recall correctly." Cinder said with a smirk. Her wallet would emerge just fine after tonight.

"As if I would ditch my best bud." Ruby said, frowning. "Besides, none of the guys we've seen so far appeal to me anyway."

Jaune nodded as the three took a seat at the bar. It didn't really matter to him anyway, and he was pretty sure Militia would probably have her fill of teasing him anyways tonight. It's what she seemed to live for, after all.

With the club being as busy as this he doubted, they would see much of them on most nights, but it was their night off and the club had hired some new people who could take their shifts tonight anyway.

As the three got their first set of drinks, Jaune felt himself immediately start to zone out. His mind went back to that creepy letter: Ruby was the only person who knew about it at the moment. He felt a tinge of fear for his unattended dorm. It seemed like it could be pretty easy for Pyrrha to come back and do something else, and that had been a constant fear in the back of his mind since he saw Pyrrha at the university a few weeks ago.

"Ruby you better move that cute booty of yours cause I want to sit next to Jaune!"

"Militia stop being so selfish."

Ah, the twins were here. Jaune should have known they would make an entrance like that.

"Yeah, I'm not moving shit." Ruby remarked sticking her tongue out playfully.

Militia shrugged. "Fine then. I'll just take an even better seat." She grinned as she approached Jaune and sat on his lap.

Jaune of course, felt as flustered as could be. Of course, her ass in his lap was a nice feeling, but that did not stop the awkwardness he felt.

"Dammit Melanie, can't you ever control your sister?" Cinder said, part playful part actually curious.

"Nope. The bitch's ovaries are in overdrive nonstop." The twin in white said, sighing and taking a seat next to Cinder.

The twin in red stuck out her tongue. "Ah, fuck off. Besides, that's funny coming from you Melanie. I'm pretty sure you spread 'em just as often as I do."

"Yeah? Well, when aren't you are spreading em? No wonder Jaune doesn't want you to be his first he's scared he might catch something nasty."

The shorter-haired twin flipped off her sister. "Bitch I got tested the other day and I'm clean. At least I use protection, unlike miss raw dog over here."

The longer-haired twin rolled her eyes. "Now you're just getting desperate by lying. I make guys use protection every time too and I'm on birth control just like you."

"Enough you two." Cinder scolded.

"As fun as it is hearing about your apparent rampant sex lives, can you please get off my lap? Jaune requested embarrassed.

"Lame…" Militia made a dramatic sigh before obeying his wishes and taking a seat next to Ruby. "At least I get to sit next to this other cutie."

Ruby winked at her as she downed her drink and soon ordered another one.

This was going to be a long night.

At least Cinder seemed to be enjoying herself: despite the twins' behavior, she had an ever-present small smile on her face. She was probably used to this and dealt with far worse by now.

He smiled as he continued with his drink. He figured having just one wouldn't hurt anyway.

Ruby couldn't help but feel a bit down. The twins and Cinder were normally awesome, but Milita was really starting to get on her nerves. At least, in terms with her always flirting with Jaune. Like, what the hell? She didn't even know him that long compared to her.

Still, what right did she have to complain though? It's not like she had made a move or confessed. Jaune hardly even wanted to talk to her until recently, compared to Militia who he seemed far more visibly comfortable with.

Best bud her ass. She didn't have a right to call herself that anyway when she had been so blind as to what Pyrrha had been doing. No wonder Jaune probably hated her.

She felt a wave of jealousy hit as she watched Militia once again flirt with Jaune. This time she was trying to get him to dance with her, but Jaune wasn't having it.

Ruby was now content to drown her sorrow in her drink when she heard a voice, she hadn't expected call her name. Turning around, her heart sank even further.

"Son of a bitch…" She muttered.

It was Oscar.

The others turned around and seemed a bit confused.

"Ruby, do you know this guy?" Jaune asked.

"Yeah, sort of…" She muttered, not really wanting to fully acknowledge it in front of her crush.

Oscar made his way through a small group of people before approaching their group at the bar. "Hey, Ruby. Didn't expect to see you here."

"Same."

His eyes locked with Jaune's for a moment before he turned back to her. "So…Um, you're not with the blond guy, are you?"

She wanted to so desperately say that she was. But instead of saying anything she just glanced at Jaune. Much to her dismay, Jaune quickly answered him.

"No, we're just friends."

Well, tonight officially sucked.

"Oh, okay... Just wanted to make sure." Oscar smiled, tilting his head and looking at her. "Did you want to dance, Ruby?"

Ruby glanced up at him. "Sorry, I'm not much of a dancer."

In reality she would have loved to tear up the dance floor… Only issue being that the only person she'd want to tear up the dance floor with was Jaune. Even if he didn't know how to dance, it still would have been a ton of fun.

"Oh, gotcha." He smiled and, much to her annoyance, took a seat next to her where Militia had been sitting before she went to tease Jaune again.

Jaune, not wanting Militia to sit on his lap again, quickly got off his seat. "I gotta go to the boy's room, I'll be right back."

"Oh, fun. I'll come help you with that." Militia said with a sultry smile.

"Why the fuck would I need help with that!?" Jaune asked before quickly leaving the group. However, Ruby did catch a bit of amusement in his eyes, despite how annoyed he'd sounded.

She should be the one teasing Jaune like that. Laughing and going out with him. That's all she'd wanted to do since she had met him all those years ago. He had been her support through so much, and he probably didn't even have the slightest clue. Now, she was stuck with some guy who couldn't take a hint just because she made the mistake of making out with him while some slut continued to hit on her crush. Of course, part of this was still her fault for not taking the initiative as well as making this clean to Oscar yet.

Oscar snorted and whispered into her ear. "He seems a bit out of place here, and that's before factoring in how attractive you all are. I bet he wouldn't know a good time if it hit him in the face."

Ruby was about ready to show Oscar's face a fist after that comment.

"Jaune's fine just the way he is. Please don't talk badly about him like that." She responded as politely as possible despite how bad she wanted to knock his lights out.

Oscar just shrugged and muttered a soft apology, but the look on his face said he still thought otherwise.

Fucker is about to get a heel up his ass…

Jaune attempted to make his way to the men's room as quickly as possible. He had to go like a mother fucker. Seemed that drink hit him hard in that area. Sadly, the restroom was on the other side of the club. Thankfully, he made it just in time.

His mind wandered to how Ruby seemed a bit tense when that guy showed up, but it wasn't really any of his concern. Who she talked to besides him was her business. Plus, the girls were there if anyone was dumb enough to try anything, so he wasn't worried about anything bad happening to Ruby.

Jaune soon finished up in the restroom and exited back into the hallway, when a familiar blonde caught his eye. One he really hoped he wouldn't have to see each other again.

"Yang…"

He had never felt such an angry emotional response before. Even with Pyrrha., Yet now, he was pretty sure now he was seeing red.

Yang had just finished dancing on the floor. She hadn't come with anyone tonight and just decided to dance with who caught her interest. She didn't do that often, but once in a while it was a fun time. She did see plenty of hot guys but wasn't really in the mood to respond to their advances.

Still, it had made her hot and she was ready for a cold drink now. Just as she passed the restrooms out came a familiar blond. Without thinking she spoke.

"Holy shit, is that you Jaune?"

Jaune froze and just looked at her.

She turned to the bar and saw Ruby was there talking to some guy and a few other girls she didn't know. "Oh, Ruby's here too? Looks like she made some friends." She smiled.

Turning back to face Jaune, she realized how awkward this actually was. This was the guy she had tormented in high school, yet now she approached and talked with him like it was something normal.

"Yang…" He muttered.

"Jaune…Oh my God, Jaune I'm so sorry. I know this is a weird place to say this, but I'm so sorry about everything. I…" She trailed off.

He walked up to her and to her surprise he grabbed her hand. "Jaune, what are you doing?"

"Shut up and come with me."

Yang allowed him to direct her but was speechless. He had been such a pushover in high school, but now he was giving her orders. It was so shocking she didn't even think of disobeying. Plus, she was curious.

They made their way over to a corner of the club that wasn't populated with anyone before she leaned against the wall and he leaned in close to whisper into her ear. It actually made her blush and to anyone viewing this it would just look like they were a couple and he might be going to leave a mark on her neck or something.

"Did you know?" Was all he asked.

"D-did I know what?"

"That day you left me in my locker. Did you know how late I was?"

She felt a mix of guilt and regret enter her body along with a ting of fear. She noticed the pure calm anger in his eyes when he leaned in.

"Late…Late for what?" Late for coming home. She had probably made his parents worry for sure.

"Late for my sisters funeral." The words came out like poison.

"Oh my God…" She had heard about his sister's death of course and at the time thought nothing of it. She didn't know…

"I missed a good part of my sister funeral…My parents couldn't get ahold of me because I couldn't get to my phone with the way I was crammed into my locker." His hand grabbed around her shoulder softly. "My parents…They were actually worried something had happened to me just like something had happened to my sister on the day of her funeral."

The shock of it all setting it made her body shake. "J-Jaune…I'm-"

"Shut up." He replied softly but firmly. "I don't give a shit how sorry you think you are. All the stuff that happened. I could even forgive Pyrrha raping me before I could forgive you. Do you know why?"

She was too scared to speak.

He continued. "Because that was just fucking with me. But you affected my family and my dead sister." She felt his hand tighten a bit. "At the time I could have easily killed you for it."

She still didn't say anything. Too shocked to even move.

His hand left her shoulder. He hadn't really applied that much pressure at all, but it was still a relief. "But I can't." He finished. "It's not worth it, and Alice wouldn't want me to do this. Unlike you, I have a family to take care of." He looked again dead in the eye. "Listen, I don't know what weird fucked up shit you and Blake and Pyrrha have been planned or are planning, but you stay the fuck away from me and tell them to do the same." He took a breath. "I'm not your bitch anymore, and I'm done with all your shit. I still have proof of Blakes past, so unless you want her expelled and doing some jail time… You. Keep. The. Fuck. Away.

She nodded. She felt tears roll down her cheek. "Jaune…Even before you told me all that I-I felt so bad about the shit I pulled on you. I don't know why I acted like that. I'm so sorry. I know you won't forgive me, but I hope you know I wasn't following you or anything. I ran into you here purely on accident."

He studied her for a moment before nodding.

"You won't tell anyone about Blake, will you?" She asked.

"No, as long as she and you stop bugging me."

Yang nodded. "Jaune…I'm so sorry."

He turned around and walked away without saying another word, slipping back into the crowd.

As she watched him go, she decided to leave the club, and wipe away the tears as she did so. Her body was still shaking, and she felt nothing, but the guilt eating away at her. She wanted to make this right, but what could she do? All she could do was try to honor his wish of solitude.

Looking back and seeing such hatred. She knew everything had been really fucked.

Clenching her fist, she knew she was going to have a serious talk with Blake in the morning.

They'd done shit that was wrong, and they needed to leave Jaune alone.

Jaune had felt himself shaking after what he had just done. He had just snapped after everything. He had originally agreed not to drink much, but now he didn't care. He just wanted to forget about his stupid fucked up past. He needed at least a break from all the bullshit.

He just wanted to forget…Even if it was just for a night.

Militia smiled as her favorite blond came back.

"Took you long enough. I hope you weren't just jerking off to the thought of me in there." She teased.

To her surprise, he didn't seem flustered and just ignored her as he sat down…And ordered the strongest drink she knew of.

"Um, what happened to not drinking too much?" Cinder asked with a smirk.

"I'll explain tomorrow. Tonight, I don't care." Was all he said in return.

There was an awkward silence for a moment.

Ruby looked away from her other guy friend and turned to Jaune. "Jaune? Are you okay?"

"No." Came the short and blunt reply.

Militia was starting to feel worried now. "Wait Jaune, what happened?"

"I'll talk about it later. Just let me drink in peace." He said in a way that was so unlike himself it was almost rude. Noting their expressions, he clenched his teeth and took a breath. "Sorry, I'm just not in the mood to be getting into it."

Ruby turned to Oscar. "Hey, sorry, but my friend is going through something. Can you leave us?"

He nodded and walked away, although the disappointment was clear on his face.

Militia nodded worried. "If that's what you want Jaune…"

He said he'd drink and drink he did. It had been a few hours and Jaune knew he was pretty drunk. He had been shrugging off most attempts at conversation. He felt bad since he wanted to make Cinder feel better, but he was too angry and now too drunk to think straight.

"Jaune we' are heading back to campus. Me and Ruby will walk you back." Cinder offered.

Jaune was pretty sure he didn't want to stop drinking. He didn't even feel safe in his own dorm anymore and in all honesty, he had little faith that Yang would get Blake to stop bugging him. He was pretty sure Pyrrha wouldn't stop until she was in jail, but that would never happen, meaning he'd never feel safe.

"I think I'll just stay here. You all can go back without me. I'll just find a motel or something."

The two were obviously hesitant to leave before Melanie spoke up. "You two can go, me and Miltia got this covered."

The two still seemed uncertain. "Are you sure?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah. We will let you know everything. Don't worry though, we won't let Jaune get into any trouble." Militia smiled.

Cinder and Ruby looked at one another before nodding. "Okay... Jaune, you owe us an explanation tomorrow." Cinder replied sternly.

"Yeah…You better feel better soon." Ruby muttered before she and Cinder left.

Jaune sighed, feeling even worse. He had just made things difficult for most of his few friends. Emerald and Mercury ended up not being able to make it, so he was glad he didn't embarrass himself in front of them or Adam too.

The twins waited for him to finish his drink before they both locked arms with him. "Huh?"

"We're leaving." Melanie stated as she left some lien on the table.

"At least let me pay for myself…"

"You can pay us back later." Militia stated. "Something has clearly got you seriously down and we are taking you back to our apartment."

"But-"

"No buts! This is final." The red twin stated as she and her sister helped him to his feet.

Thankfully it didn't take long for the twins to get Jaune to their apartment. It was a small but neat two-bedroom apartment that they had gotten recently. Which was expensive, but with their salary now and how long they had been saving and working wasn't that bad.

"Sorry for being such a burden… I just want…I don't even know what I want right now." Jaune sighed.

"You're not a burden, but what the fuck is going on all of a sudden? What do you mean forget everything?" The twin in red asked.

"I'll tell you in the morning…I just don't want to talk about it while I'm drunk."

"Promise?" Melanie asked.

He nodded. "Promise."

Their expressions softened.

"So, where am I sleeping?" He asked.

"My room." Militia immediately explained.

"Militia…" Her older sister warned.

"No, I don't mind. It's better than the couch." Jaune smiled.

"Wait? Seriously?" Both twins asked.

"Yeah…Or do you not actually want me to?"

"No, I would love it if you did." The red twin smiled. "I just wasn't expecting you to actually say yes."

Melanie rolled her eyes. "Alright then if that's settled. I'm going to bed so have a good night you two." Without another word she went into her room and shut the door behind her.

Jaune turned to Militia as she smiled.

"Don't worry. I won't try anything. We can just sleep together without sleeping together." She explained.

The blond thought for a moment. "Actually…Can I take you up on that?"

"Huh?"

"Did you actually want to fuck or were you just fucking with me?" He asked ignoring the pun.

Militia was silent for a moment before nodding. "Sure, I mean I wasn't really expecting you to accept. Especially like this…"

Her hand slid down his side onto his leg. "I mean are you really okay with this?" She continued.

"Well...I think so. You're someone I actually like and being drunk doesn't hurt." He muttered. She got on top of him and sat on his lap before pressing her soft lips onto his. Her breath was warm, and he could tell she had been drinking too, but this kiss…It actually felt good.

Sure, it smelled of alcohol as well, but it didn't bother him in the slightest. This was someone who had never wronged him in the slightest, who would easily stay up all night or day and talk with him. She wasn't malicious or crazy, at least not crazy in a bad way it seemed like. Just a really hot friend who seemed to have a fetish for blondes. Even a nobody like him.

"I really like you too. And I don't have to be drunk for that." She chuckled.

He blushed. "Sorry, I think what I said came out wrong."

"No, you're good. I get it Jaune, so just relax okay?"

"Sure...But..." He hesitated. "I honestly don't know how I feel about you. I mean in the way of an an actual relationship. It's a long story and part of what I'll tell you tomorrow, but I'm not sure I can even handle being in a relationship."

She smiled and bit his neck. "Jaune if you think this is how I start all my relationships we need to have a talk."

"What do you mean?" He muttered as he cringed a bit at her bite.

"Sure, I like you. But I wanna fuck cause I'm horny. I'm not expecting you to become my boyfriend after only a month or so of knowing you. You're a good guy and I don't mind not rushing into things. That said, I like to have fun too. Does that make sense?" She asked as she bit his neck again but softer this time.

"Yeah...I just wanted to make sure. I didn't want it to seem like I was taking advantage of you or anything."

"You aren't. If anything I might be taking advantage of you...Are you sure you're okay with this?"

"Yeah, I am." This time he was the one doing the biting as she moaned a bit.

"Good... I like it when you're rough Jaune. Let's just enjoy tonight, okay?"

He nodded as she started kissing him again. He ignored the memories of his only other sexually encounter, where Pyrrha had raped him the best he could. This was different he told himself. This was something he wanted and had asked for willingly and with someone he'd wanted to be with… And it felt so good.

Her beautiful soft body pressed against him more as they made out. He wasn't sure how long they had, but eventually she got off him and took his hand before leading him to her room.

"Don't worry Jaune…I'll be gentle." She teased as she shut the door.

AN: Thanks for reading! I really hope I didn't get too much worse after the long period of being gone.
