here ill give you a snippet of my writing now. im a legend of zelda fan now. enjoy

Wild froze, his stomach dropped, his eyes grew wide, he felt sick. Everything suddenly faded away into silence, he wasn't registering it anymore. There, on the other side of the broken and halfway-destroyed library, her favorite room in their castle, was Zelda, with Urbosa by her side, towering above her. The clouds above them rumbled with thunder, and the sky flashed, momentarily lighting up the angry faces staring at him. Wild swallowed. Zelda wasn't taken. But she was angry.

He was shaking as he took small steps toward the two, flinching at another loud rumble from the heavens. It was as if even the gods had turned on him. He wouldn't be surprised. He had failed every oath he took, every promise he made. Urbosa's own words from long ago echoed in his head: *You be sure to protect her with your life.* Of all of the promises he broke, that had to be the worst.

This was his true punishment. Facing those he had betrayed. Being crushed by the weight of their gazes. Every step he took felt heavy, every breath he took felt shallow. Shame was suffocating him, Guilt was a blade in his side. Seeking forgiveness was out of the question, all that pushed him forward was the desire to stop making mistakes. And running away would be another mistake.

He stopped ten feet away, he didn't dare go closer. The combined fury of Zelda and Urbosa radiated outward, he felt as though he'd be electrocuted if he took another step. He tried to swallow the lump in his throat and prayed that he wouldn't fall apart. He couldn't afford that. Not now. He squeezed his eyes shut and hung his head; he couldn't even look at them. His voice quaked as he spoke slowly only loud enough to hear over the rain.

"Words can't describe how ashamed I feel. I broke so many promises, and I have no excuse for myself. I hurt you. I failed you. I don't deserve forgiveness, but I want to stop making mistakes. I want to fix what I broke. I have no right to ask this of you, but I hope you'll let me try." His voice finally broke on his last words. He fell silent and waited for his due berating; he couldn't talk anymore anyway.
