It was a known fact that Kageyama Shigeo never admitted to being too exhausted to continue working. Every time they ran, he would keep going until he dropped, not wanting to burden any of his friends.
He knew that Kageyama tended to hide what he felt sometimes, and that was okay. Even after what happened, Musashi Gouda didn't question Kageyama.
It was after the blonde kid had beaten them. They had only been out for a few minutes, no more than an hour, but when they came to, there was an eerie silence hanging about. Musashi looked around, noticing the dust settling.
He stopped when he laid his eyes on the scene before him.
Kageyama, eyes red-rimmed.
Kageyama, facing a naked and bald Teruki.
Kageyama, bruised and tired.
Kageyama, with hand shaped bruises around his neck, purple explosions blossoming in ugly patterns on the soft skin of a child.
He worried, however no amount of worry would make anyone want to force Kageyama to be dissected, to display his weakest parts.
So he acted like nothing about what had happened was wrong.
"Kageyama-kun!"
Musashi headed towards the two, the body improvement club with him, also hiding their prominent worry for their other member.
"Ah, guys…."
Kageyama glanced towards them, a hint of sorrow in his eyes.
"Hey, Kageyama, are you hurt…?"
"I'm fine."
And Musashi knew that this was all he needed to know.
"Alright then, good. We're gonna go back and do more squats."
And no more questions were asked.
