They didn't know exactly what would happen when they drank the sleeping curse. One by one walking up to the front of the office to take a sip. By the time all had drank from the goblet Emma was starting to feel sleepy. She looked over to her fiancé to find him fighting off sleep as hard as she was. One look into his eyes confirmed they were in fact about to enter into another bloody curse.

"Here love let's lie down, wouldn't want another bang to the head would we?" Slowly everyone sank to the floor with the exception of Regina who took refuge in the office chair.

Emma settled herself beside Killian on the floor, lifting her head to make eye contact with her son before they were all swept under. The look of hope and faith in his eyes quelled any anxiety about making it through another curse. As she lay there waiting for the curse to take hold she looked once again at Killian. He looked so peaceful like this. The moment before sleep took hold. She could watch him sleep for hours. When he was asleep, all the years of revenge and torment was washed away from his face. She remembered the tiny laugh and the genuine smile that was all too rare on his face from earlier in the day. He would be her husband.

Killian felt her gaze on him as he waited for the curse to take hold. He turned his head to look right back at her. He smiled as she scooted closer. "Come love if we are gonna be sleeping for a while I want you to be comfortable."

He opened his arms a little wider and she snuggled up to his side hiking her left leg over his. He grasped her hand and brought it to his chest just above his heart holding it tight. It felt like home. Perfection in each other's arms. The curse didn't matter, it would be broken. At that moment nothing mattered except the fact that Killian had already kept his promise to always be by her side. She rested her head on his chest just as she had every night since he had moved in with her. Home. It felt like home.

She glanced up once more to see his eyes barely open watching her. "Go to sleep Emma, I'll be right behind you." She thought she heard him whisper, I love you, before the curse finally took hold.

She awoke with a start, heat surrounding her. There he was looking at her with all the love in the world. Who gave a shit if they were in the burning red room? He was there with her. He slowly walked her way reaching out his arms to hold her with a smile on his face.

"I told you, I will always be by your side." He bent down to kiss her softly. She wasn't surprised that it never actually happened . From what she had heard they were supposed to just be ghosts of themselves. She could feel him though. Not as solid as he normally felt but something about the air where he stood was different, thicker. She could feel a hand on her shoulder from the other side of the curse.

"I'm waking up." She said. He just smiled looking at her with all the love in the world. She smiled back as he faded into the room and the office slowly came back into view.

"Dad?" She asked as hands slowly lifted her other feet and into her mother's arms.

"You woke us up? How?" David said as he looked around to check on everyone else. "Easy." She replied " We all just shared a tiny bit of the curse."

She broke the hug off with her mother to see her father lift Killian to his feet. She couldn't fully hear the conversation, but knew what it was about. She smiled as she watched her father reassure Killian that he was forgiven and the look of relief on his face almost brought tears to her eyes. He turned her way and grabbed hold of her once again. "I love you." He whispered into her ear. "So bloody much."

"I love you too." Emma replied with a smile. "Let's go home."

He squeezed her a little tighter burying his face in her hair she felt him mumble "I am home."
