Really only doing this because its Star Wars day. This wasn't planned and it wasn't written ahead of time. I'm actually typing it out in the copy-n-paste option in doc manager. Let's see how this goes.

"This future must be very... unpleasant." Obi-Wan noted, "If merely the identity of young Leia's parents is considered so dangerous."

"Unpleasant? I'm pretty sure I'm dead, Padme's is definitely dead, my son is on the worst planet in the galaxy, and there is a chance that my grandkid is going to be from Ahsoka!" Anakin yelled at his former master. "We have gone way beyond unpleasant Obi-Wan! This is firmly in the worst-case scenario region of things!"

Ahsoka ignored the two older Jedi and the slight feeling of being insulted at being called a 'worst-case' scenario, too busy trying to escape the gaze of the Senator of Naboo who was once again glaring at her thanks to the reminder of what she with her son in this version of the future. She got the feeling she was never going to be let off the hook for that.

"Seeing as you won't be a Jedi after today I doubt you are still going to get killed before knowing your children Skywalker." Mace Windu said calmly, giving his comrade a side eyed look. "For now however I suggest you quite down and turn your focus back to the visions. The next one is starting."

Luke stood across from his sister with his arms at his side, seemingly uncaring of the fact that the two were in the middle of a large sparing ring and that Leia had her blue lightsaber drawn and ignited ready to attack him. "If you plan on going on the offense I suggest using a different form." The Jedi told her, "The third form is about defense and counters. It is by far at its weakest when used to attack."

"Luke is correct. Form three is best for reacting not acting." Obi-Wan stroked his chin in contemplation. "From what we've seen young Leia doesn't seem the type to use such a style. I wonder why she has set herself up to use it in this match."

Anakin shrugged, his earlier outburst seeming to have faded away. "I'm just glad the two are together, to be honest. I was afraid they'd never have the chance to be a family."

Leia didn't respond or move to change her stance. This wasn't the first time the twins had sparred together, nor was it the second or even tenth time. And yet she had yet to even come close to winning even once. She had tried all the other forms, from her and Luke's preferred Form five, what she thought was the thematically appropriate Form six, and when she had been having a particularly bad week Form seven, but no matter how much she felt herself improve on the movements and her use of the Force or even how much physical strength and speed she gained she still wasn't able to even put up a real fight against her brother. So she decided to branch out a little further. Form one was too wide for fighting a single opponent, Form two required the user to have either an insane amount of skill with the style or great speed or a finely tuned Force perception ability to be useful at all, and Form four was way too physically demanding to be viable against someone she didn't think would go down quickly. If she had more stamina than Luke she might have tried it, but as it was she would just tire herself out trying to batter down his superior defenses before succumbing to exhaustion. Which left Form three.

Form three was perfect for this situation in her mind. It was meant to turn great offensive forces back against the attacker making it a good choice for those who were drastically outmatched in firepower of most kinds, doubly so if the user didn't want to expend too much energy too quickly. It was a form designed for those who had little or no advantages in a fight and if she was right it was her only hope of tagging her brother in this fight.

The problem was that Luke was right about the weakness of the style. It was a defensive form through and through so attacking with it was not only dumb, it also left the user at a very precarious point at the beginning of the fight until a rhythm could be established. That was a good two or three strikes that she'd have to 'survive' before she could utilize the advantages of Form three in any meaningful way. 'I should have started with a Form five stance and opened things up with that, switching over when he fended off the initial assault. Now I've given away my plan for nothing and the fight hasn't even really started yet.' The Last Princess of Alderaan growled mentally. 'Screw it. Plan B.'

Leia leaped forward with the aid of both Force Speed and Force Leap, blurring across the room with the speed of a blaster bold and stabbed her saber forward in a Form two style movement, aiming for the hip across from where her brother's lightsaber rested.

Luke simply moved one foot to twist his body, avoiding the incoming blade completely and shoulder checking his sister away when she all but rammed into his side.

"She committed herself far too much to that attack." Windu observed, "She put a respectable amount of power and speed into that thrust but she had no way of redirecting herself or pulling back when Luke reacted. She couldn't even shift her saber into a basic defense."

"Unpracticed her movements are, of desperation such use was." Yoda agreed with his fellow council member.

"She must really want to beat her brother. Either that or she is an idiot when it comes to combat." Ahsoka remarked with squinted eyes. She knew the feeling of desperately wanting to win a spar, particularly when it was against someone who had beaten you several times in the past, but she liked to believe she never did anything quite like what Leia had done.

"If you plan on trying that on someone else someday, you should open up with a Force Push to make sure they can't dodge. Nine times out of ten they will either brace themselves and be unable to move quickly enough or they will be knocked off balance and will only be able to back paddle or fall over." Luke advised his twin with a small amount of mirf.

Leia scoffed. "Since when have I ever been able to move you with the Force when we spar? I can't overcome your barrier." She grumbled, climbing back to her feet.

"You would if you compressed your power more." He told her, "You don't focus it enough right now, half of the power you express doesn't even hit your target, it just dissipates back into the air."

"What barrier is he talking about?" Bail asked Obi-Wan curiously, not quite understanding what the twins meant beyond something Luke was doing to prevent being telekinetically moved.

"Force users can create a thin shield around themselves that acts as a buffer between their own bodies and the Force abilities of others. Those that are particularly skilled in it can use the shield to aid in their enhanced movements and even make themselves immune to low and medium grade blaster fire." Obi-Wan explained, the brief summary being broadcasted to the entire galaxy and answering the question many had about why the Jedi didn't use the Force more often when fighting what they called dark Jedi and Sith.

"If I took the time to condense it you would see it coming and it wouldn't be worth it!" Leia groaned to the ceiling. She could summon the Force easily enough, and could use it in a lot of ways once she got some basic instructions on what needed to be done to get the desired effects, her problem had always been being too 'wasteful' with the power she utilized. Luke always told her it was like she was using half again the needed fuel to move a freighter. It still worked, and in some instances it was even better, but more often than not it was just wasteful.

"Try meditating on it then. Speed will come in time."

"No. I am not increasing my meditation again, you already have me doing it for an hour every day before we even start training. And it doesn't even do anything anymore. I can already use the Force whenever I want and I already know how to use precognition and far sight!"

"... I mean, she's not exactly wrong." Anakin agreed with his daughter, "After you have a solid connection with the Force meditation is only really good for going into deep trances to look for specific things around the Galaxy."

"Wait, you can see stuff from anywhere in the galaxy from your temple?" Padme asked agust at the potential for invasion of privacy.

"Huh? Oh no. It's more like being able to picture the general location of something and its general state of being. Its pretty rare to actually 'see' anything." The knight assured his wife.

"And half the time its not even really accurate," Ahsoka grumbled, remembering the time she was kidnapped and used as part of a hunting game. All her master had been able to tell was that she was 'with allies and alive'. It wasn't until she had debriefed him that he learned about her almost dying and the torture.

"Its either meditate or practicing the same powers repeatedly until you can train your mind and body to better shape the Force you project." Luke chuckled again. He understood why his sister hated meditation, it was dull and often pointless work. The only reason Luke liked it was because he would sometimes get visions of old lectures on techniques or history about the Jedi of old. It didn't really help him with anything else, least of which his 'emotional control' that master Yoda had claimed needed work. He just put his anger into working out and occasionally screaming in a sound proof room. Much easier if you asked him. Not that anyone did. For some reason most people thought he was really 'zen' ever since he got his hand cut off. Weird.

"In that case, I'm going to go through a bunch of metaphysical punches at a wall until it breaks. If nothing else it'll be entertaining seeing the paint spiderweb."

The vision faded.

"...Leia is totally a daddy's girl." Ahsoka smirked.
