"John. Get over here." Sherlock commanded from across the room.

"Why Sherlock?" John's back and shoulder were hurting him, he hoped that there wasn't a case.

"Because you are in pain and I can help that so you can sleep later." Sherlock said matter of factly. At this point, John was wondering what Sherlock was going on about but he obeyed the command and stood in front of a Sherlock lying on the couch.

"Now turn around and get on your knees."

"Sherlock, what are you going to do to me?" John said annoyingly.

"Actually, switch places with me and lay on your stomach."

"Ok…"

"Relax John. I'm not going to hurt you." Sherlock said in a comforting voice.

"That's not very reassuring Sherlock." John shot back as he laid down on the couch.

"Breathe John." Sherlock said as he began to massage John's back, using his knuckles to get out the knots in the upper back and using his palm to sooth the sore muscles in his lower back. John became more and more relaxed the longer Sherlock moved, he also made involuntary noises because it felt nice.

After 10 minutes, John fell asleep. Sherlock continued massaging until all the knots were out and he knew John was asleep. He then put a blanket on John and Sherlock laid down on his bed to continue what he was doing before he helped John.

Sherlock didn't mind helping his friend out when he was in pain, despite what everyone thinks, he does have a heart. Plus, it was distracting when John paced around the apartment or moaned in his sleep in pain. It was a win win situation for them both.

When John moved out of the apartment, Sherlock continued to come over and massage his back when John asked.
