Seated over in the Universe Six zone, Champa focused in on Eighteen. She didn't seem like much to him, which led the destroyer to let a smile creep across his lips.

"Heh. I can already see how pissed Beerus is after losing his first two fighters."

The destroyer let out a peaceful sigh, tapping his foot against the tile as Vados cleared her throat, turning Champa's attention toward her.

"I'd say it's far too early to celebrate, my lord. Let's wait to see what the other matches bring," Vados cautioned.

Vegito glanced over at the deity before looking over to Universe Seven's zone, a chuckle escaping for a moment as a wave of nostalgia hit looking over at the others.

"It's been a while since I last saw them, but they both improved quite a bit," Vegito noted softly.

"Well, they better have! I want to go all out here with my new powers, ya know!" Caulifla said, smiling as the wait to fight had her endorphins going crazy.

"Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way," Vegito replied as the Saiyan duo continued to talk strategy.

"Still, Krillin and Tien did do some damage to Botamo. I'm not sure how powerful Eighteen is now, but this won't be easy," Vegito thought as he stole a glance over to the ring for a moment.

"C'mon Eighteen! You've got this!" Krillin yelled out as she nodded silently and moved her blonde hair bang out of the way of her ice-blue eyes.

Botamo looked more amused and arrogant when he saw the android appear to face him, licking his lips sadistically.

"Just so you know, I won't hold back against a lady," he snickered.

"That's fine," Eighteen shot back. "You won't last another five minutes in the arena against me."

"Is that so?" Botamo sneered. "I'd like to see you try."

With both of them ready, the announcer shook his head and raised his mic.

"Time to keep this rolling! Let the next match begin!"

Botamo and Eighteen didn't move, locked in a staredown. Botamo wasn't as care-free as he was with the first two matches and quickly surmised that Eighteen was indeed another human from what he could tell.

"I'm not going to make the same mistakes I made against the other two!" Botamo roared as he began to charge Eighteen with ki blasts readied in his palm, swinging his upper limbs forward and launching a chain of attacks.

For Eighteen, this was no problem. She danced out of the way and ended up behind Botamo effortlessly.

The big beefy warrior was not letting his guard down, quickly spinning on his left foot and launched a big blast from his right palm, which she dodged like his other attacks. It was effortless.

"I can't believe she can outrun my attacks!" Botamo thought as he switched back to a chain of ki blasts.

"I told you, you wouldn't last another five minutes in the ring," Eighteen called out while skirting around the arena.

Suddenly, Botamo went in with a left hook, but Eighteen countered the punch. Their blows connected, sending air pressure out from the force of impact and cracking the arena tiles.

"I'm won't go down to the likes of you!" Botamo screamed when he went to swipe at her with his right hand, but the android quickly dodged and grabbed onto his right arm, locking her grip on the beefy yellow warrior.

"Oh, you will! You got hit by Krillin's attack, leaving an open wound on you. Then, Tien constantly launched energy attacks non-stop that kept hitting that wound. As a result, your durability actually weakened from Tien's assault."

Eighteen let out a yell as she lifted Botama into the air and smashed him down into the arena floor, his back hitting the tile hard.

"I know I can't damage you because of your powers, but Krillin and Tien made it easier for me by wearing you down," Eighteenth stated as she locked one arm around each foot and began to drag the behemoth toward the edge.

"Hey! Cut that out!" Botamo wailed as he threw energy attacks all over the place, not being able to aim properly as his level of panic shot up.

Eighteen only had to seriously dodge a couple off his volleys before getting close enough to pull off the finisher. She locked her arms around his ankles and squeezed them tight.

"Out of the ring you go!" Eighteen grunted out as she heaved her opponent into the air and flying out of the ring, landing so hard that it formed a crater on the surface below!

The announcer quickly ran up to Eighteen's side and raised his arm.

"That's all she wrote, folks! The winner of this match is Eighteen!" the announcer announced excitedly, jazzing up the Universe Seven onlookers.

"And I still had a minute to spare," Eighteen mused softly as she brushed her hair away from her eyes, walking back toward the center of the arena.

"Dammit!" Botamo growled through his teeth, hitting the ground with his right hand and covering his wound with his left. Without saying another word, he flew up to the Universe Six waiting area to be chastised by an incensed Champa.

"You're lucky we still have seven fighters! Otherwise, I'd destroy you on the spot!" Champa muttered as Vados looked on, surprised she didn't need to intervene as Beerus closed his eyes and heaved a sigh of relief.

"Who's next?" Caulifla asked Vegito, not fazed by what happened.

"Magetta," Vegito replied with a nod over to the metal man.

Before the announcer could say anything more, Champa shouted across the way to Beerus. He wanted to put up a barrier around the ring, and touching it also meant the fighter would be eliminated via ring out.

"And why should I agree to that?" A skeptical Beerus asked, trying to see what kind of plan Champa had.

"If you didn't see, the attacks in the last match came close to the spectators. And honestly, I'm not wanting to waste the wish to bring them back."

"Hm. I never thought you'd care about that. Very well," Beerus obliged.

"Whis, Vados, please create the barrier so we can keep going," Beerus yawned as Magetta landed on the ring with a resonating thud, cracking and destroying several tiles that were already severely damaged as the barrier was erected around the arena.

"Now! Without further ado, let the next match begin!" The referee signaled. Eighteen quickly got into a fighting stance, trying to analyze what she should do.

"Being all-metal, I doubt he can move fast at the start. He's probably pretty slo-."

The warrioress didn't have time to finish her thought as Magetta had launched himself forward and went for a jab, but Eighteen dodged. Rather, she barely moved out of the way in time.

"Tch. I was wrong. He's way faster than I thought. I need to be on my toes!" Eighteen mumbled aloud as she continued dodging and bouncing around like a ballerina.

Even as she dodged, his attacking speed increased and each punch was getting closer and closer to connecting as she jumped in the air but stopped short off touching the barrier.

"You're quick, but let's see how you handle this!"

Eighteen blitzed in and landed several punches to his metallic head. She was doing something, but it was hurting her hands. With one last blow, she threw some extra heat onto it and caused the metal giant's head to get stuck down into its body.

"Whoa! Nice one Eighteen!" Krillin shouted out, somewhat scared at the brutality of that hit.

"You must have done a good job convincing Eighteen to fight or us," Goku applauded Vegeta, who scoffed in reply.

"Money talks, Kakarot. And Bulma has lots of it for her and Seventeen," the Saiyan prince remarked, as Goku raised an eyebrow and shrugged, turning his gaze back to the fight as he and the others continued to observe the battle from the Universe Seven zone, with Goku mightly impressed.

"Hehe. That's nothing for Magetta," Champa snickered.

As Eighteen stood back, the metal man started pounding on his head and having it move back up before pulling the top of his head back into normal position, surprising the warrioress. With no time to rest, Magetta went in for another assault on Eighteen even faster than before.

Then it happened: Magetta landed a direct hit to Eighteen's Abdomen! She went flying back and fell back-first on some of the cracked tiles hard, coughing up blood. Krillin, Tien and the other onlookers for Universe Seven looked on in shock.

"It's not just his attacks being powerful," Eighteen huffed as several sweat bullets cascaded down her face and continued to pool back up, her vision turning hazy.

"It's way too hot!"

"That's it, Magetta! Win this!" Champa screamed in delight.

Vegito was impressed with Magetta, but something bugged him.

"Caulifla, can you tell me more about this guy's race? Does he even have a weakness?" Vegito turned to his head to ask her.

"Mmm. I never fought them before, but I heard a few rumors," Caulifla replied, beckoning him to come closer as she whispered some intel into his ear.

"Wait… that's his weakness?!" Vegito shouted out incredulously.

"That's what I heard," Caulifla said with a shrug.

Vegito's initial shock wore off as he turned back to the battle at hand, as Eighteen continued to look more and more drained.

"If that's true, then I hope he ends this match quickly," Vegito stated, knowing from Vegeta's experience that Eighteen would stumble upon the metal giant's Achilles heel sooner or later.

Over on the Universe Seven side, Krillin furrowed his brow as he and Seventeen stood to watch Eighteen.

"Something's wrong down there. With how Dr. Gero programmed us, she shouldn't be getting tired like this," Seventeen noted.

"Yeah," Krillin agreed solemnly. I've never seen Eighteen like this."

"She's tiring from the sweltering heat inside the barrier, as the warm air rises and doesn't escape much from the opening at the bottom," Whis said, causing Beerus' ears to perk up and his anger began to swell.

"Magetta is producing that heat and is unaffected by it, unlike Eighteen."

"CHAMPA YOU DIRTY CHEATER!" Beerus shouted, his blood boiling. "You were just looking to give your fighter an advantage!"

"You agreed to this, did you not?" Champa shot back with a smirk. Beerus was indeed smoking hot now.

"So that's what's going on, huh," Eighteen muttered. "I better end this fast...but I need to do something about this barrier around the ring."

Eighteen flexed her arms outward on a horizontal plane, charging up ki blasts but not firing them at Magetta. The orbs of light floated around her, akin to a shield, about 50 energy balls total, with more of them forming by the dozen.

"What's she doing?" Gohan asked his father, who didn't seem to hear his son's inquiry.

The number of orbs passed over 100, puzzling Magetta and forcing the referee to take cover. Eighteen smirked, suddenly flicking her wrist upward, and the projectiles hit the top of the barrier in the same spot, cracks beginning to form around the site of impact.

Magetta lunged in but quickly found himself looking ahead with nothing in front of him. Eighteen had jumped up, her fist charged with energy as she swung her arm upward and sent a concentrated blast into the encasing, breaking a hole through the top!

Within mere moments of the top being punctured, the rest of the protective shield crumbled away as the warm air moved around the enclosed dome, but Eighteen was finally able to get a breather. The cool breeze on her skin felt refreshing, but there was little time to rest.

"Time to finish you off," Eighteen said from high above the ring, unzipping her pink sweatsuit jacket and tossing it aside.

Underneath the jacket, Eighteen wore a black compression workout top with straps starting at the shoulder and the material covering down to her midriff. She proceeded to untuck the bottom of the compression top from her pink sweatsuit pants, the black fabric hanging over the pink hemming to let her skin breathe more, but now it was go time!

With a furious roar, Eighteen rushed in and landed a punch straight to Magetta's center, with seemingly little effect as he returned the favor by landing a haymaker to her abdomen.

Eighteen didn't go flying this time. Instead, she launched an energy blast right into his face before retreating a few feet and charging right back in.

"Go mommy!" Marron cried out from the stands, with Krillin watching on silently, praying the warrioress could pull this off. However, the husband just couldn't take it anymore.

"C'mon Eighteen! Get this guy!" Krillin yelled out.

Magetta wound up a right hook and went for the finishing blow, but the android suddenly stopped short, and the metal arm of Magetta missed. The force behind his missed attack acted more like a cooling breeze for Eighteen, as the android raised her left arm out in front of her. Eighteen's right hand then clasped around her left elbow for reinforcement.

"Take this! MOON CRASHER!"

The sudden burst of energy sent Magetta hurtling right to the edge of the ring, but he didn't fall out. The only reason he was this close to being knocked out was that he was still dazed somewhat from the surprise blast to the face he tanked moments ago.

Without warning, Eighteen emerged from a cloud of debris in front of the metal man. The moment had arrived and Eighteen went from a deadly right hook, but Magetta threw his arms up in an X-pattern to try and hold back.

"I'm going to send you out of this ring!" Eighteen grunted as she was exerting a lot of force, but slowly getting pushed back.

"GET OUT OF HERE YOU PILE OF JUNK!" Eighteen yelled through gritted teeth.

Suddenly, Magetta's eyes widened with shock and the ring's edge he was standing on cracked and broke away as he began falling to the surface. There was nothing to cling onto, and he landed with a metallic thud on the ground beneath him.

"What an incredible comeback! Eighteen is the winner! We're all tied up!" The announcer called out with a happy Universe Seven crowd sent into a frenzy after the first two matches ended with losses.

"Phew! That was close," Eighteen said, wiping sweat away from her brow as Krillin brought Marron down to the arena floor to see Eighteen with a water bottle and cold towel in his free hand.

"I guess the rumors were right then. They are weak after being insulted," Caulifla sighed as Piccolo's ears perked, a little shocked at the revelation but taking note of the information.

"Well, he did have her working harder than I expected," Vegito said casually as he put his right ankle to rest on his left knee while Magetta had just gotten back to their platform.

Eighteen looked up at Universe Six's zone to see Magetta crying as the realization suddenly hit her: Her own strength wasn't what sent him flying out, but instead her insult shocked him so much he lost the will to fight.

"He was acting so confident at the start that I never thought words could hurt him," Eighteen thought as Magetta continued to cry and Champa just leaving him alone, much to Vegito's surprise.

Kale got up from her seat to stand next to Magetta, trying to comfort the suddenly shaken metal man.

"There, there! Don't cry. It'll be okay. You did great!" Kale consoled him, patting him gently on the head as he sniffled.

"Yo, Frost! You're up!" Champa called out, looking toward the end of the bench as the Freeza-like doppelganger stood up at last.

"Well, well, well. She seems to be an interesting foe for me here," Frost said with a warm smile.

Chapter 42 - Frost's Emergence

Editor's Note

Covid-19 upended my life, and I had very little time to write this these last few months, even when I was free since those free moments involved having to do other tasks as life threw several curveballs my way. I wish this was finished sooner, but the circumstances I was dealing with prevented me from doing so.

This isn't me apologozing (again), and I'm glad this chapter is finally out. However, I will explain some behind the scenes stuff here that may be interesting for you to know that will not give away anything too important.

I read the reviews every few weeks and I know how frustrating it can be to wait for these chapters, but I want to make sure I do a great job and not rush these so you have the best content possible that represents the author's vision.

Each chapter contains two fights. The second fight in chapter 43 has been finished since February. We had an idea in a chain of dialogue and we didn't want to lose the thought, knowing people would love how we wrote that second fight.

But with the pandemic being a thing, I never got around to finishing this chapter and the next so I could quickly wrap up 43. I needed to make sure there was consistency from a storytelling perspective.

If there is anything I am apologizing for, it's related to any typos where the letter f, n, or k should be in certain words. My keyboard needs a repair and I will need to replace those keys sooner rather than latter. It took extra time editing this because the f key in particular is only half-working .

Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. I hope the next two chapters come out relatively soon.
