CHAPTER 6

One week! It had been once week since he had last seen Bella and Paul was about to explode. The more he stayed away from her, the more his wolf tried to took over and he couldn't let that happen, since the only thought that run towards the wolf's mind was kidnapping his little imprint and claiming her so she could never leave them again.

In five days, Paul almost feel into temptation three times. For three times he almost risked to become a criminal. But it would have been worth it.

Without her it was like he couldn't properly function. He had to see her or he would lose it completely. It didn't even help that Sam had ordered him to stay away from her house after founding him trying to climb the tree in front of her window.

How could Sam manage being without her? They were in the same situation, then why was he reacting better than him? Was it because he was an alpha?

Well, alpha or not, his orders didn't work when an imprint was involved.

And that explained what Paul was doing outside Bella's house on a Friday night, sitting on his new favourite three. He had already a plan ready. Once she was asleep, he would have climbed her window and silently entered her room. Five minutes, maybe ten in her presence and then he would have left before one of the boys passed by her house to check on her and rat him to Sam.

Everything was planned to perfection. Paul even found a way to ignore the voice inside his head that kept screaming 'psyco'. It was not as if he was going to hurt her or kidnap her. He just wanted to look at her face and take into her delicious scent to calm his wolf down.

What he hadn't expected, however, was seeing his little mate sneaking out from the back door as soon as Charlie had started snoring.

Paul almost smirked at the sight of his feisty little mate sneaking out on a Friday evening.

However, his amusement faded once he took her in. Where the fuck was she going wearing that tight mini-skirt? He didn't know if he was more aroused or angry. The skirt showed off her amazing ass, an ass that he wanted to bite and lick and…, NO. He wasn't going to let lust control him. He had to stay lucid and follow her. Because there was no way that he would have allowed her to walk around alone during the night. Especially while looking so delicious.

He was only doing that to check on her, to make sure she was okay. Not to spy on her. At least that was what he kept repeating into his head, while he followed her car in wolf form. He was pretty sure that she was going to a party had he couldn't help but wonder if it was her first party or she was a party girl, but hide it from anyone.

His supposition was proved right when she parked outside a familiar house. He had been there once for an Halloween party.

Still in wolf form, he watched his girl entering the house with little hesitancy. Clearly her first party. He couldn't help but smile at her adorableness. His little imprint discovering the teenager world was his new favourite show.

Ten minutes. Ten minutes and then he would have left, he only had to be sure that she was okay and that no one bothered her.

Bella followed Jessica though the house. There were already a lot of people there and she recognised only few of them from school.

When Jessica passed her a cup of something that smelled like alcohol, Bella shocked her head. Her father had always told her to never drink anything that she had not seen be open in front of her, even when it was a friend to hand it over. For this reason she settled on trying a beer.

At first she didn't like it, but the more shot she take, the more she liked the taste of it and the more she enjoyed the party.

She had come to the party only because she had never been to one before and she never realized before how sad that was. She had expected that it would have been boring, but she was actually having fun. For once she felt like a teenager.

Surprising herself, she started dancing with a boy. Bella was sure that it was the alcohol that was making her act that way, but at the moment she didn't care. She was having fun and there was nothing wrong with that.

Bella didn't put any resistance when the boy, John she remember him saying, had put his hands on her hip, making their body dance closer. She felt his breath on her skin and something pocking her behind while they danced. Bella smirked when she realized what was pressing against her back. She had never provoked such a reaction from a male and she actually liked it. It was nice to be appreciated for something other than her scent.

However, her good mood faded when John released her grip and took few steps back from her. She turned around to see what was wrong, but she found him staring at something behind her. He looked almost afraid.

She turned and almost let the now empty bottle fell on the carpet.

Paul and Sam were standing by the door, glaring daggers at her.

3

A few minutes earlier

Ten minutes turned into thirty without him notice it. After seeing Bella drinking the first beer, he knew that he had to stay.

One beer turned into three and as soon as the little shit with blonde hair had approached her, Paul knew that he had to call for her. Help before he ripped the boy's head off in front of the whole student boy of Fork's high school.

Phasing back, he quickly unlaced the phone from his feet and called the only person he knew would have come faster than lightning.

Sam had just returned home when the phone buzzed. A tiny part of him got a little excited, hoping that it was Bella. However, he knew it couldn't be her. Why would she call him anyway? Especially at that time.

Paul's name lit up the screen. Sam sighed, but he answered in case it was an emergency. Paul was frustrating, but was still part of the family. Especially now.

"Tell me you haven't done something stupid." Sam answered.

"You need to come here." Paul said immediately, none of them took the time for a proper greeting.

Sam raised an eyebrow, but didn't answer at first. "Sam?"

"I heard you. What I didn't hear, however, was where I should go and why." Sam stated, already annoyed with his beta.

"I'm currently watching Bella pushing her delectable, tight ass against another boy's pants and it looks like he is enjoying it too much for my liking. Come here before I do something I won't regret, but will put the pack in danger." Paul said the last part completely serious.

Sam, however, didn't hear him. The rational part of his brain had turned off as soon as an image of a boy with his hand on his little, innocent mate had appeared into his head. Probably everyone in La Push heard his growl.

How dare someone taint his girl.

"Where are you?" he growled into the phone.

"At some girl's house. I think her name is Jessica. It's not too far from Bella's house. Go there and then follow her scent or ask Jared if he remembers the address from the Halloween party."

"Sam," Paul called for him, before he could run towards the future crime scene. "Bring me some clothes."

Quickly, Sam put some clean clothes and shoes on a bag and turned into his wolf form.

It took him few minutes to reach Paul, who was waiting for him completely naked. That answered Sam's question about why his beta hadn't intervened earlier.

He phased back and the now two naked men dressed up rapidly. They hadn't even laced their shoes, before they stormed into the house.

They ignored the lustful glance the girls sent their way and followed Bella's scent.

Sam and Paul stopped in their track when they spotted her. Paul had already seen her, but Sam hadn't and the sight of her bare legs made Sam's cock gain life.

She was still dancing, but now at least the boy had removed his dirty hands from her. The boy had noticed them and Sam enjoyed the fear in his eyes. Good, they all needed to know that Bella Swan was unviable. She was his, she only hadn't realize it yet.

When Bella turned to question the little blonde dick, Sam had a perfect view of her ass. It was surprisingly round and Sam couldn't wait the day he would have seen it bare and in a more intimate situation, but now it was not the time to let lust took over.

His control didn't last long the second she turned her head and finally noticed their presence.

Sam growled. How could he be angry at her when she looked that? With her face flashed, probably due to the alcohol she had consumed, and messy hair that made her look like a sexy little kitten, she looked like the most exciting nymph that has ever walked on hearth.

Before Bella, Sam never thought that it was possible to come at the mere sight of someone. Luckily, Bella had no idea of the power she had over them, nevertheless, his little kitten had drown him mad for a week and now Sam wanted to slash her away and show her what happened to kittens when they poked the big, bad wolf.

Bella's eyes were wide, but when she recollected the few lucidity she had left, she finally found managed to put together two words. "Oh, shit."

Sam was aware of the attention, they had been caught, but before he could say or do anything, both him and Paul caught a familiar sound getting closer to the house.

They exchanged a quick glance and walked towards Bella with such a fast speed that someone who saw them could have suspected that they were not human. Bella didn't have the time to move that Sam had her in his arms and was walking fast away from the house, ignoring the shocked faces of the people present.

Paul had already turned on Bella's car, when Sam helped her sat in the back before joining Paul in the front seat. He needed to maintain a certain distance from her or the wolf would have taken over.

The last thing Bella remembered before losing consciousness were the shouts from the police officers when they stormed into the house and the sounds of the engine pick off.

"What did you do to her?" Paul asked angry when he saw Bella passed out in the back of her car.

"She's fine. It's just the alcohol and the quick way I took her out the house." Sam explained, glancing at Bella to see if she was alright. She was lying down on the back seats, completely passed out.

"Are we taking her home?" Paul asked when Sam told him to turn to the right, where Bella's house was.

"We're just leaving the car. Hopefully her dad was too sleepy when he l to notice it gone." Sam explained.

"And Bella?"

"We're taking Bella to her bed." Looking at the uncertain look his beta was giving him, Sam continued. "I know she won't like any of this situation and tomorrow she'll probably be pissed, but I'm not risking her life. She so clumsy that she could choke on herself or fell down the stairs. No, I'm not taking any risk. We'll put her in bed and then we'll leave once we're sure that she is fine."

Paul nodded, completely understanding Sam's felling of protectiveness.

"She's going to yell at us once she's awake." Paul growled, parking Bella's truck in her yard.

They quickly climbed off and reached the car door at the same time. Both of their eyes flashed yellow, neither of them wanted to let the other carry their mate. However, as the alpha, Sam was stronger and in a shift move, pushed Paul away and grabbed the sleepy girl, trying to be as gentle as possible.

Paul would have jumped on him if it hadn't be for the tiny girl in his arm. Bella had never looked tinier than while being in Sam's arm. Paul got closer to her to check if she was fine, ignoring Sam's warning growl. The wolf's need to check on its mate was stronger than anything.

Bella was resting her head on Sam's chest, her heart beat was a little faster, but Paul knew that it was for the alcohol, and her breathing was regular. Once he was sure that she was fine, he stepped to the side and let Sam pass.

They walked in silence, neither of them wanted to disturb the sleepy girl. When they reached Sam's house, Sam lied her on the bed, making sure that she was sleeping on her side. He took off her shoes, trying not to let his eyes wander too long on her slender, smooth legs and quickly put her under the cover, before her body could tempt him further. Sam brushed few locks of her curly, short hair away from her face, marvelling at how beautiful she locked even with her mascara running down her soft cheeks.

He could have spent the rest of the night watching her sleep, but Paul had to ruin the moment, as his usual, when he stormed into the room with a glass of water in his hand.

"She'll need it when she'll wake up. Which his now, apparently." Paul commented when Bella started shifting in the bed.

Everything was spinning around her.

It took Bella few minutes to finally be able to open her eyes without having the urge to hide her head under the pillow.

"Bella" she heard someone call for her. She was still having problem with her sight and since the light was off she couldn't see who was the owner of that masculine voice.

"You need to take this." The man put a pill in her hand and passed her a glass of water.

Since her head was hurting a lot, she took the pill and water without opening her eyes, wanting nothing more than to lye back on the bed. How did she get in bed?

"We can't leave her like this, what if she choke on her split or something." One of the man whispered, but Bella's sensible hearing cough that.

"It's choking on her vomit, not split." She sleepy corrected him.

Sam chuckled amused at his feisty little mate. She was perfect. However, when she groaned and put her head under the pillow Sam felt anger resurface.

He told Paul to refill her glass, as she would have been thirty once she woken up, and as his beta left the room, Sam reached her bed and kneed next to the girl's body. He caressed her head, smirking when she moaned and pressed her head further in his hand. Apparently his little kitten liked having her hair played with. He sure would have remembered it for the future.

Still caressing her, Sam whispered in her hear. "Sleep tightly, kitten, because tomorrow we'll talk about this behaviour of yours."

After that Paul walked into the room, leaving the filled glass near her bed. He had heard what Sam had said and completely aggraded with the alpha. They both were done waiting. Seeing her dance with another man had completely crushed any patient they had.

She was their imprint, their other half, no one was allowed to put their hands on her just as she was not allowed to put her delicate hands on someone else beside them. They already had to share with one another, there was no way they would have let her be with someone else.

Hearing the sound of the main door opening, Sam and Paul quickly kissed her head and left by the window before Charlie could cough them. Being found shirtless in a dark room next to the sheriff sleeping daughter was not how they wanted to be seen by their future in law.

Bella woke up the next day with a huge headache. She sat on the bed, massaging her temples, waiting for the room to stop spinning so she could open her eyes. The first thing she noticed once she did that, was that she still had on the clothes she had chosen to wear at the party.

The party. She tried to remember what had happened at the party and how she had got home. She remembered dancing with a cute boy and how their dance had been interrupted by two very handsome and very angry men. Then everything came back at her. Sam and Paul taking her home before the police could see them, putting her in the bed after giving her a pill for the sickness.

They had been extremely caring, but where they doing at the party and why were they glaring at her while she was dancing and having fun?

Knowing that only one of them could have answered her questions, she slowly got up and walked towards the bathroom, hoping that her father didn't see her in that state. Uhf, she felt awful. Why no one had ever tell her that drinking made people feel like that?

The cold water from the shower made her feel slightly better. She put on a green shirt dress over her black underwear and a pair of black boots. With her hair still wet she walked downstairs and made for herself a cup of coffee.

Feeling more awake than earlier, she decided that it was time to have some answers, so she left a note for her dad where she inform him that she was going to La Push.

The drive was the reserve was slow and only once she got near Jacob's house she realised that she had no idea where Sam or Paul lived.

Groaning in a very unlady-like way, she stopped the car at the side of the road, thinking about what to do. She could ask Jake, but then he would have wanted to know why she wanted to talk to them and she was not ready to be lectured by her younger ex best friend.

Luckily she didn't have to think of anything else, because her car door quickly was opened and a huge, shirtless man pulled her out of the car.

Bella was ready to yell at the shapeshifter, but as soon as her eyes met Sam's face, the words got cough in her throat. She had never seen him that angry. Even his eyes were shifting form yellow to black.

"What the hell do you think you're doing driving after drinking last night?" his voice was lower than usual, almost animalistic.

"First of all, I'm fine. And second, I wanted to talk to you." Bella replied, trying not to show how agitated he was making her feel.

"You're still hangover. Once again you put your life in danger." He yelled and Bella took a step back, which only seemed to make him get angrier.

"Do you have any idea how worried I was yesterday when Paul told me that you had sneak out to go to a party?" he took a step forwards, never looking away from her. Bella felt like a pray. "Do you know how irresponsible that was from you? The redhead is still out there waiting for an opportunity to sink her teeth into your neck!"

As usual, Bella shivered at the mention of Victoria. Her back was pressed against the trunk and Sam was only a feet away from her and it seemed he wasn't finished yet.

"Add to all that, you drank and let a boy put his hands on you. Are you really that desperate for male attention?"

That was the last drawl for Bella. He had no right to be angry with her. For the first time after a really long time she was having fun and he and that idiot of his friend had interrupted it.

"What I do does not involve you." She yelled at him, trying to push him away but he didn't move of a centimetre, "If Victoria wants to kill me she will do it regardless of where I am."

Sam eyes flash once more yellow and Bella realized that he was shaking. Bella pressed herself closer to the truck and closed her eyes, waiting to hear him shift, but nothing happened. When she looked at him again, he still had glowing yellow eyes, but was no longer shaking.

He closed the distance between them and put his hands on either side of her, caging her. She could feel his breath on her face as he bent down to look at her eyes to eyes.

"What you do involves me more that you can imagine." His voice was no longer Sam's. It was as if something had taken over him.

"Why?" she whispered asked.

He smirked down at her, lying his forehead on hers. Yellow eyes devouring brown ones.

"Because you are mine."

She looked up at him with those big brown eyes, before her swooped further down and claimed her mouth with his own. He couldn't stop himself from moaning into her lips even if he wanted to. She tasted better than he had ever imagined. Thanks god she was imprint and meant for him, because he didn't think how he would be able to kiss another girl without comparing her to the perfection that was Bella.

He didn't know how long they stood there, wrapped in each other arm, but as soon as he heard her moan, and not in pleasure, Sam took a step back and looked down at the small girl. She was looking down and his eyes widened when he followed her gaze and spotted the red finger-marks on her wrist from when he had gripped her. He had hurt her. He had hurt his mate. Taking few steps back he didn't dare look at Bella's face, too ashamed and angry with himself from letting his wolf take over.

However, the only thing Bella saw was the pure disgust look on his face while he backed away from her. Trying to fight back the tears at the way he was avoiding looking at her, Bella jumped into the car and quickly drove away. She didn't ask herself why he had kissed her, the only thing she could focus on was the disgust displayed on his usual stoic face. Was there really something wrong with her?
