Here's the promised next chapter... I thought I updated this already. If any of you read my rants before coming here, thanks! I feel tired just ranting that. Somehow, those who are in this fanficiton site agrees while Reddit is a major Adrinette shipper. The concept is cute, but the love story is not. At this rate, Imma just watch out for Season 4.
Imma probably drop it or completely rearrange the whole thing to fit to the proper standards instead of frustration. Well, with Kiernan/Naruto here, she'll probably beat up Chat Noir/Adrien and talk about all the concepts on identity to everyone including Alya (As she totally needs it to. Srsly, even if they just read DC or Marvel, they would know the dangers of it. BnHA is also another good example). Sasuke/ Jianyu would definitely, most definitely beat up Chat Noir/Adrien and protect his sis!
Chapter 8
Her mother and father had changed a lot. Both of them had left for a short trip for their wedding anniversary to whachamacallit place that was hard to pronounce even if this language she speaks is already hard enough to learn.
Kiernan was with her brother and Natalie babysitting them. With that secured, they had a tearful goodbye before leaving for their vacation.
But the short week turned into another week, and then another week.
It was a month later that they returned, all rushed and frazzled. Kiernan looked towards her brother in confusion, who in turn looked at her with the same expression. This wedding anniversary of theirs was supposed to be a time of relaxation. What made them so spooked? It was almost as if they were being hunted down or something.
Kiernan wanted answers, so she took her brother's hands and they headed to where their parents are.
"Your parents told me not to let you inside at all." Natalie blocked them from their route.
"But! They hadn't even told us how their trip was!" Adrien protested.
"I'm sorry, Adrien, but both of you need to head back to your room." Natalie led both of them back to their rooms and personally shut the door.
Kiernan soon heard the door lock shut from outside, making her head towards the door in a flurry of panic.
"Natalie! Since when was my lock changed!?" She banged on the door, demanding answers. At this rate, she couldn't even talk with her brother, who had his own room!
"I'm sorry, Kiernan. But this is for your own good." Kiernan heard the clicking of heels slowly getting farther and farther away from her door. It made Kiernan suspicious of this behaviour.
So she went towards her dresser to open up a drawer full of her accessories. She rifled through it before reaching the one she wanted.
"Aha!" She exclaimed with a cry of triumph before putting it on her hair, so she doesn't lose it. Kiernan made a familiar hand sign, something she thought she never needed anymore.
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" Kiernan summoned a clone to do the spying for her as the clone could immediately dismiss themselves upon being caught.
Both the clone and Kiernan knew what to do. They nodded at each other before heading to do their respective job.
While the original Kiernan wallows and wails in protest to be stuck inside, the clone Kiernan took a mirror and used it to peek through the gap of the door, no matter how small it may be.
Once she saw that nobody was outside or anywhere near the vicinity, the clone immediately picked the lock. Sticking her tongue out in concentration, she fiddled with it until she heard a loud click.
She slowly opened the door and looked both ways before jumping onto the ceiling, immediately latching onto it with her chakra.
Seeing the world upside down once more was another thing to unravel. The feeling of doing this was better than just practising with leaves every time! Which made it- The clone shook her head. She couldn't afford to get distracted lest she gets caught.
She snuck onto the rooftop, before crawling to where the window was. There, she could see her mother and father huddling together, their gazes on a book while furiously whispering. She wanted to know what they were talking about, so she opened a window without a sound and snuck into the room, avoiding the security camera her father had shown her once or twice.
As a child that loves pranks even if she didn't do much in this life, she took heed and observed the blind spots.
The book her parents held was something she had never seen before. The language was even more difficult to comprehend. Both of them held accessories in their hands, furiously gesturing towards the book and at the accessories.
She observed more closely, only to realise that they were Peacock and Butterfly brooches. She wondered if they were going to use it in their fashion show or something because this wasn't the first time her parents had random bouts of inspiration and would lock themselves up to do the designs.
She decided to leave them alone before her eyes spotted something.
Eh? She realised that besides those brooches, there were two floating creatures near it, similar to the brooches.
Curious as always, she stayed longer.
Those creatures called Kwami were some beings like a god of some sorts. Kwamis grant some magical power, as the purple thing said. It made Kiernan wonder if it was like those magical girl animes that Adrien often liked to watch as a guilty pleasure.
So the clone left, wondering if her parents are going to be some sort of heroes. She giggled into her hands excitedly before dismissing herself.
As soon as Kiernan got her clone's memories, she squealed. Heroes! Her parents are going to help save the world! Save princesses! Fight some bad guys!
Wow, she wanted to be one too! But she knew after watching a lot of anime, that heroes need to be a mystery, a secret. So she promised that she'll keep that secret to the grave. The bad guys would never get any word out of her mouth!
She hummed in excitement as she thought of how awesome and cool her parents would be.
END!
This chapter actually made me a bit sad. Parent worship and the fact that you would never expect your parents(dad) to be a future villain instead. Naruto had his/her parents who died as a hero. And now Kiernan has to live with the fact that her obliviousness and parent worship made everything this way in the future.
And I think that Adrien knows memes, cause he's practically a meme generator as Chat Noir.
