Chapter 12: Revenge

Yoruichi was pissed. She knew exactly whose spirit energy this was and memorized it for three years. The former squad two captain looked off in the distance as three figures made their presence known from high into the air.

The first was a man with blue hair and a savage grin on his face. He stood there with his hands in his pockets and stared at the couple with a lustful eye. He had a large scar on his chest that stretched from his left shoulder and ended to his right hip. The scar looked relatively fresh from what Yoruichi could tell.

The other one standing not too far away from the savage man was a paled skinned arrancar with black hair and green eyes. He also had his hands in his pockets as he watched the two with a stoic stare. He didn't make a move nor did he even try to as he saw the two staring up at him.

The last one to appear was the one the couple dreaded seeing for different reasons. Halibel appeared in front of the two arrancar and looked down towards the two with a hard glare in her eyes. She was in her standard outfit with her blade attached to her back as it usually would, but Ichigo could still tell where the scars were from the last attack she did to her lover. It saddened the strawberry to know that Halibel was hurt by an attack she had taught her. The teen couldn't take her sorrowful eyes away from the heated glare of Halibel's, but she knew the glare wasn't for her.

Yoruichi scowled as she saw the woman responsible for taking Ichigo away from her. She hated this woman no matter how hard Ichigo tried to convince her otherwise. It angered her to no extent how this woman could do such a thing and she had spent many nights thinking of nothing but causing the arrancar to suffer. Yoruichi met Halibel's glare with her own as she popped a mod soul pill and was immediately ready for a fight.

Ichigo tried to stop her but saw the scowl from Yoruichi from behind and couldn't help but remember the same scowl Halibel had the last time they were together. She stopped herself before Yoruichi flashed up to the three arrancar.

Both Halibel and Yoruichi stared each other down as if they were analyzing each other. Halibel's glare heated once Yoruichi stood across from her in the air, same with Yoruichi's glare as well. The tension between the two was high as they continued to glare at one another. The other two arrancar kept their distance as they have felt Halibel's anger before after one particular training day involving hurting Ichigo.

"I've waited a long time for this." Yoruichi spoke with an edge to her voice. Her spirit energy was slowly rising by the second.

"Oh?" Halibel started as she folded her arms. "I know quite a bit about you Yoruichi."

This caught the Flash Goddess by surprise for a second before narrowing her golden eyes. "Really now."

Yoruichi couldn't see it, but she felt the arrancar smirking towards her. "Ichigo told me about her life before coming to us."

"Stolen by you." Yoruichi interrupted, emphasizing herself with a hard edge.

"Be that as it may, she's told me about you." Halibel began, seeing that the woman in front of her was slowly getting angry. "She told me how strong you are. How she admired and looked up to you for guidance in dark times. That you were her friend." She paused and looked down towards Ichigo for a brief moment, seeing her strawberry shake her head worriedly, before looking back to her opponent. "And every time she mentioned her friends and family, I was happy for her for being strong, but whenever she mentioned you, it always angered me."

Yoruichi smirked. "Why? Because I got to her long before you abducted him?"

"No." She answered as she reached for her blade, her power seeping out of her pores. "It's because I knew if she ever saw you again, you would steal her FROM ME!"

Her power exploded, catching Yoruichi by surprise as she sped towards her. Yoruichi dodged a slash, barely, and went for a kick to her stomach. The attack landed but had no effect as Halibel turned her hollowed out blade into a reverse grip and went for a stab. Yoruichi back-flipped away, delivering another, harder kick to Halibel's jaw. The attack sent her back a few feet but nothing damaging this far. Yoruichi went on the attack this time as she rushed over towards the blonde and threw a few punches and kicks, trying to find an opening of sorts. Halibel was either dodging or blocking with her blade as Yoruichi continued pressing the attack.

As this went on, Ichigo stood down below, frozen. All she could do was watch as the two she loved were fighting each other over her. She knew why Yoruichi was fighting for her, mainly revenge and to protect Ichigo despite there being no need for that. Halibel was also easy to figure out. To Ichigo, she always knew the espada was rather possessive of her even to Aizen to an extent, but never a serious one. If she had been able to, Halibel would have left Hueco Mundo immediately after Ichigo left instead of wait. Aizen must've ordered her not to pursue yet.

The battle was starting to get intense as Halibel had now started to use her energy to fire yellow beams towards Yoruichi. The former soul reaper was able to dodge incoming attacks using Shunpo, but even she could tell that the arrancar was still holding back. Not wanting to see her at full strength, and still being very wary of the other two, Yoruichi sped forward to her opponent, intent on ending this quickly. Halibel stood her ground as she watched the woman she actually hated from hearing her Ichigo speak about rushing towards her.

Just as Yoruichi pulled her fist back for a punch and Halibel drew her sword back for a stab, they felt Ichigo's energy flare up, stopping them both in their tracks out of concern. They turned to see Ichigo pushing back Grimmjow as he was holding some sort of device in hand. The device was circular and looked like some sort of collar. Whatever it was caused Ichigo to freak out and raise her energy.

The two dark skinned beauties quickly rushed to Ichigo, hoping that she was alright.

For Yoruichi, she had seen it when Ichigo panicked, but this was different than before. Back then it was controlled. Ichigo didn't let her energy come out unless she was sparring with someone, and even then it was never like this.

For Halibel though, she was mentally cursing at herself and at Grimmjow for how incredibly stupid he was. The very last person Ichigo would want to be in contact with was him for damn good reason too. All Halibel could hope for was that her strawberry would forgive her for what she was about to do now.

Gonna end this chapter here. The next one will have a proper fight scene in it as I really just wanted to get this one out as soon as possible. Hope that doesn't make me sound like a dick or anything of the sort.

Anyway, hope everyone is doing fine and safe in this weird time of ours. Be smart, clean, and above all else, don't do nuthin' stupid. Lol.
