Now, we are heading straight for the final chapter, and afterwards, a sneak peek into the next story that's coming up on the 'Complete One Incomplete Story A Month' project! What'll happen? You'll see! Anyway, enjoy!

Milo and Melissa stared as Zack grabbed the hood of the mysterious figure's jacket as he lowered it down... revealing a familiar blonde haired girl's face, clover hair clip and all. She grinned nervously as she waved nervously.

"Sara?" Milo said in shock.

"Uh, hi." Sara said, still holding a sheepish grin.

"You've been following us all day?" Zack said, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, you see-" Sara started to say as she looked down. "Yeah, I've pretty much been following you."

The three friends looked shocked as Milo asked, "Why were you following us?"

"Well, when I heard you and Melissa were going to give dating a try. I couldn't help it, I'm a bit of a shipper." Sara looked down. "Of course I wanted to see if you guys were going to get together."

"That's what I was-" Zack started to say... before blinking. "Wait, why were you curious about it?"

"Well..." Sara paused as she looked away nervously.

Milo paused... as his eyes widened. "Wait a minute... Shipper? Wanting to keep an eye on us, eager to see me and Melissa together? Sara, were you the girl who..."

"Did that mysterious etching on the wall?" Melissa asked, catching on as the three friends stared at the blushing Sara.

The blonde haired girl groaned as she shook her head. "Well, I can't very much deny that now, can I? Yeah, I was the one made the etching."

Milo, Melissa and Zack paused... as all three relaxed with Zack saying, "Oh, okay. That theory actually makes sense."

"Yeah, that does explain a lot." Milo nodded.

"Yeah, I guess it wasn't that much of a mystery when you think about it." Melissa pointed out.

Sara shook her head in shock as she looked at each individual friend. "Wait, what do you mean it makes sense?"

"Well, we did see you try covering up that etching when we were coming out of the room..." Zack said.

"...and now that I think about it, when I was talking to you about the etching, you did panic a little bit." Milo pointed out.

"Not to mention, yesterday when I visited Milo, when we agreed to see if the etching was right, you let out a girlish scream in excitement." Melissa nodded, remembering that fact.

Sara blushed furiously as she looked down. "I guess I left too many clues that pointed to me, huh?"

"Only a little bit." Milo nodded before looking curious. "But why and how, Sara? Do you really ship us?"

Sara looked down as she tried to explain what she could. "I wrote that when you two were just friends. There was a loose awning on it and I secretly wrote a little heart and combined both your names because... I couldn't help it. You two just looked SOOOOOO CUTE together when you were young."

Milo and Melissa jumped in surprise as Zack paused. "How long ago did you make that etching?"

Sara sighed. "Since their Christmas together. Melissa snuck a little kiss on the cheek to Milo under the mistletoe when he was young. I saw it and thought it looked adorable."

Melissa's eyes widened as she put a hand over her mouth. "Oh right, I remember now!"

Milo paused in confusion, before his eyes widened, knowing what she was talking about.

Two six-year-olds Milo and Melissa were in Milo's home, eating Christmas cookies together as Milo looked over to his best friend. "Thanks for coming over, Melissa. I'm happy to have you over to the family Christmas party."

"Hey, it's okay, Milo. I'm just happy to be here." The six-year-old Melissa grinned happily. "Though, who'd have thought we'd run into a yeti on the way to your house?"

"Murphy's Law tends to be like that..." The six-year-old Milo shrugged as the two of them got off the chair. "But hey, it's great to have you here, especially on Christmas!"

"I can't wait to see what types of activities can interrupt you on your Christmas traditions!" Melissa said in excitement as the two of them began to walk out of the kitchen... before Milo stopped in his tracks and held out his arm to stop the young Melissa. "Milo, what are you-"

Milo pointed up as the young girl looked up to see mistletoe hanging on the wall. Milo blushed nervously as he whispered, "They say if you get caught standing under mistletoe, you might get kissed a lot."

"I heard Nargles infest them just as much." Melissa responded with a huge grin on her face.

Milo looked over in confusion before Melissa leaned over and kissed the surprised boy on the cheek. Milo blushed heavily as Melissa giggled. "How does it feel, getting your first kiss from a girl?"

"That was on the cheek, that doesn't count." Milo blushed furiously, before giving a smirk. "Come here, Melissa, I'm going to catch you!"

"Milo, you get away from me, you cheeky boy!" Melissa laughed as the two started to run around the house. Nearby, Sara was watching, sitting near a fallen wall edge corner with wide eyes as she held her heart.

"Awwww... that's so cute!" Sara grinned to herself as she paused, looking at the side of the wall. Then, getting an idea, she grabbed a marker and started to make a little heart, followed by writing the words 'MiLissa' on it. Giving a small grin, she paused as she looked around... before putting the panel back, covering the heart. After all, nobody needed to know about the small vandalism she caused...

"Nargles?" Zack said as Milo and Melissa finished explaining that Christmas to them, before turning to Melissa. "You've been reading Harry Potter, haven't you?"

"Only the parts that weren't intense." Melissa blushed. "But my point was that well, we were just constantly teasing each other back then, like kids normally do. It was all in good, harmless fun, right Milo?"

"Of course." Milo grinned. "Honestly, I can't believe I forgot about that Christmas..."

Sara looked down as she nodded. "Yeah, you two were very cute together... but as you guys grew up, you never acted on anything beyond friends, so I just figured that maybe you two weren't meant to be... I'm sorry if my etching I hid got you all confused..."

Milo and Melissa looked over towards the guilty Sara, as they looked at each other... before both smiled as Milo said, "Nonsense, Sara. You haven't done any harm at all. If anything, I think you opened our eyes."

Sara looked up in confusion as Zack raised a knowing eyebrow, with Melissa nodding.

"Even before Zack came along and became the third friend, Milo and I... we really clicked together. I just... never realized that possibility before." Melissa smiled. "Considering we get into tons of trouble together thanks to Murphy's Law... I guess we just never thought deep into it."

"Or... maybe we have, but we cast it all aside..." Milo said as he looked over to Melissa. "And I realize that me and Melissa, I think we've always been..."

"...a thing!" Melissa smiled. "We just... didn't know if it was official."

Milo smiled as he turned to the ginger girl with a grin. "Then what say we make it official? Melissa Chase, would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"

Sara gasped in delight as Zack put a thumbs-up. Melissa grinned as she pulled Milo closer. "Like you even need to ask, my Cyclone of Calamity? Of course I want to be your girlfriend!"

As the two shared a loving kiss, Sara let out a large squeal of delight as she jumped up and down. Zack gave a smile as he said to himself, "Somehow, I knew those two were going to end up together."

Sara barely paid any attention as she felt so happy to see the two share a kiss and declare their love for one another...

A little while later, outside the Murphy home, as Zack had just left and Sara was going inside the house, presumably to write in her diary about how her etching got her little brother and his best friend hooked up together, Milo and Melissa were sitting together, all alone, on the edge of the porch as they watched the sunset.

"Wow..." Melissa smiled as she looked over at the boy. "You know, despite everything that happened today, I think this was one of the best... first dates I've ever had in my life."

"Even if they were more than... mundane activities interrupted by Murphy's Law?" Milo raised an eyebrow.

Melissa paused as she looked over at Milo with a sheepish grin. "Er, something along the lines. Still, it's pretty crazy, isn't it? You and I end up together as boyfriend and girlfriend."

"Heh, not every day that happens." Milo laughed. "But still, this is going to be an interesting week at school. I wonder what everyone's reactions will be."

Melissa chuckled. "I know Bradley's going to flip when he sees us together... Amanda probably suspects... Chad and Mort would probably support us..."

"I guess so." Milo nodded in understanding. "Still, I can't wait to see where Murphy's Law takes us next... as a couple."

"Hey, I'm sure things will go right for us from here on in." Melissa happily smiled. "And even if I DO have to face Murphy's Law... screw what Murphy's Law tries to do. You and I are a team, Milo... a romantic couple! We're going to see this through to the end, no matter what obstacles we face!"

Milo looked over to the girl with a quizzing look on his face. "Better not taunt Murphy's Law too much. Who knows what might happen...?"

"Oh, what am I going to do, incur its wrath?" Melissa smiled as she got up. "Well, I guess I better get back home. I'll see you at school tomorrow."

"You sure you don't want me to walk you home?" Milo asked as he started to get up, but found himself being pushed down by his girlfriend.

Melissa gave a smile as she looked towards the boy. "I'll be fine, Milo. You've seen me before. See you tomorrow."

Milo nodded as Melissa kissed him on the cheek and started to go off. As soon as she was walking alone on the quiet streets of Danville, she felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. She gave a small, but satisfied grin as she kept walking, occasionally skipping on occasion. At the current moment, she was thinking about all the times she was going to have with her new boyfriend, and a perfect future to look forward to.

All of a sudden, she bumped into somebody as she stumbled. "Oh, uh, sorr-"

Melissa opened her eyes as she stopped in her tracks. She stood in fear for a moment when she came face to face with... a strange character. A character wearing a huge black trenchcoat and a gas mask, holding what seemed to be a... a grenade as he tossed it to Melissa. Melissa looked in confusion as gas emitted from the grenade. Melissa, once she sniffed the gas, started to become... dizzy. Her eyes started to go down heavily as she fell to the ground.

The figure in the gas mask nodded as he pulled out a list. "Four down... eight more to go..."

The person then took Melissa and dragged her over to a nearby truck, where three captured individuals of different worlds resided...

A green skinned girl with a heavy look to her with purple hair and wearing a pink dress.

A large Hawaiian man in Hawaiian clothes and a cook's uniform.

An green-haired alien with elf ears, wearing a black uniform with brown vest, black baggy shorts, red wrappings around his wrists, a brown loincloth and brown boots.

And an orange haired teenage girl with a white jacket, black shirt combo, and a pink skirt.

What could this figure want with these four figures? And what of the other eight?

Orange Ratchet Story

"That's All, Folks!"

An Orange-Ratchet Fanfiction

And with that, this story has reached its conclusion! We find out who has done the etching, and we see Melissa get kidnapped by some strange figure! How did you guys like it? I know you guys probably want some explanation... but before we get to that... Time for final thoughts!

This was one of the Milolissa stories I made a long time ago, back when I was trying to get myself into the groove due to the many hiatuses the show has taken. However, some of you guys figured out the twist of the story, and well... yeah, it was pretty obvious from the start, I will admit that. Then again, the only mystery fandoms I LOVE are the Hank the Cowdog series and the Scooby-Doo series, so that may have played into the mystery quite a bit. Still, when I got back to this story after this won, I realized that... hey, maybe I can play it up like a Hank the Cowdog or Scooby-Doo mystery, while having it focus on the Milolissa romance at the same time. I don't know if I succeeded or not, but I still enjoyed the story as much as I could...

With that all said and done, though... if you guys have been following the pattern of my 'Complete One Incomplete Story A Month' thing I've been doing lately, this is all culminating down to NEXT year's big project... if you're a fan of the Zero Escape games, you probably know who the man in the gas mask is, but if you don't, play those games! They are really challenging and fun at the same time!

With that said, next month's story is going to focus on 'The Proud Family', but I guess you already knew that from the To Be Continued at the end. It was between this and the Gummi Bears fanfic, and... I just wanted to write for The Proud Family a little more. Besides, I'm already five chapters in and I have a plot going for that too, so... let's see where it takes us... next month. For now though, I'm going to focus on the stories that were voted on, but didn't make it to the winner's circle in the 'Complete One Incomplete Story A Month' section, starting with 'Partial Amnesia', another Hey Arnold story and an Arnda one I have been going back to on occasion. I think I'll be able to wrap THAT one up quickly!

Anyway, thank you all for reading, and have a very wonderful day!
