Tamora didn't know mornings could be peaceful. Sitting outside on a back porch and gazing out at a crystal clear lake was an alien concept in Hero's Duty. But not here in Fix-It Felix Jr.

Clad in a black tank top and shorts, she moseyed out the sliding glass door, the pleasantly warm air feeling fine on her skin. The lake sat still like an elongated mirror stretching across the pixelated landscape. Quacking filtered in from a distance, signaling the ducks were awake and ready to start their day.

Tamora took a seat on the cozy, wicker patio chair, swiveling her legs to hang over the chair's arms. Bringing the hot cup of coffee to her lips, she breathed in the warm steam, condensation forming on her upper lip. She sipped the black coffee savoring the robustuous taste.

Sometimes she wondered if this life had made her soft. Felix made it his personal mission to give her a comfortable life outside of her home violent game. He spoiled her, really, and even though Tamora protested that he shouldn't, she secretly enjoyed it.

The sliding glass door opened, and a moment later, her little husband popped up beside her with his own mug. Felix had never tried coffee until they were married. Tamora smirked at the thought of all the small influences she'd made on the handyman – some completely innocent; others not so much.

Felix leaned over to peck her cheek before scooting onto the chair beside her, careful not to spill his hot beverage. He smiled her way, and she returned the gesture with a small curl of her lips. Monday mornings was their time. The arcade didn't open until the afternoon, and they took advantage of the time off to just relax before a new week's adventure began.

"How about after work we head over to Sonic's?" Felix broke the quiet, and wagged his finger at her, "he's still askin' for a rematch."

Tamora snorted into her mug. "He'll get one when I'm good and ready." She stretched out her leg, tickling Felix with her toes. He giggled, shrinking away from her playful attack. "We can figure out all that later. Right now, I'm savoring the lack of noise surrounding us."

Her coffee went flying as a blast shook the landscape. Felix jumped out of the chair, the contents of his cup splashing onto the ground as he stuck the landing. Tamora got to her feet and dashed around their house with Felix right behind her.

"What in blazes?" she hissed, hurrying to where the blast had occurred.

The rest of the residence of Niceland poured out of the townhouses and apartment building, crying in panic as they passed them. Felix was trying his best to reassure them as he and Tamora made their way through.

They stopped at the station, shocked at the situation that met them. The entire entrance into Fix-It Felix Jr. was blocked, pixelated debris scattered all the way to the apartment building.

Felix touched her leg. "Tamora, what did this?"

Tamora shook her head, eyes combing over the entrance any sign of how it happened. "I don't know, but I have a damn bad feeling about this."
