"Willem, thank you"

A single tear fell from the beautiful girl's eyes, dispersing in the wind in a small sparkle. It took no longer than a second for Willem to realize that the woman he had come to love so much over the past few months, had passed on from the world. She had died on her feet with a simple happy smile after saving him and Nephren.

He wanted so much to scream at the world and break down and sob, but he merely gasped, and choked out, "You goddamn fool."

He had lost so, so much over his short life, it just wasn't fair. Almaria, Lillia, and now Kutori. Why did the world have to be so cruel and take everything he had ever cared about from him? Why couldn't the world let him keep his promises? Why? Why?! Why?!

Truly nobody had lived a more tragic life than he had. Nobody had ever lost as much as he had. What was even the point of living if everything you come to treasure is ripped away from your grasp?

A tear trickled down his cheek as he laid in the sand. A few more followed, and soon they were streaming down his face.

"Kutori, please, don't go. Come back, Kutori, please. Don't leave me..." he whispered. He choked back a sob, "I care about you so much, so please, just stay here," a few sobs escaped his lips as he looked to the sky, "Why? Why?! You've already taken so much, why her too?"

He would never again be able to see the brilliant, blue locks of hair waving across her back. No more would he hear her sweet, cute laugh. Nor would he be able to hear her beautiful voice again. He would never see her amazing, cute smile, nor would he be able to see her wear the slightly too large hat he had bought for her.

Kutori was gone, and all he wanted to do was to cease existing. He had no purpose without her, she had defined who he was and gave him a path in life. Now that was gone, and he was a lost soul once more.

The wind howled, and whipped away, sending sand to cover his back. He paid it no mind, though. His thoughts were locked solely on Kutori.

"I miss you, Almaria."

"I miss you, Lillia."

"I miss you, Kutori."

"Please… come back."
