(Alex's House)

It was morning reaching afternoon. The kids had already left for school, leaving the man by himself. With nothing to do, Alex laid down on the sofa. Remote in hand, he watched the news channel. It was currently discussing about the 'mysterious murders' in Rome. The news woman reported that the 'killer' had been found. No doubt it was some criminal that the Church was using to cover up the Turok-Hans. It was the best solution in order to avoid normal humans learning about the supernatural. According to Sentinel agents inside the Vatican, the Church was also increasing its defenses around the city, and messages were being prepared to be sent to the Illuminati regarding to the Sentinels' presence on that night. There had also been recent incursions against facilities that housed the Excalibur shards, but nothing solid yet. The Sephirots and William believed that the Turok-Hans' attacks might be related to that but were doing a wait and see.

In the meantime, a message had been sent. Nathan and Natalie had been summoned for a promotion exam. Like the Devil rankings, Sentinels also had their rankings for operatives, going from Rank 1 to Rank Thirteen. Presently, the twins were Rank 6, and would be taken their exam to be Rank 7. Most of those exams resolve around taking on supernatural beings or other threats towards humanity. The exam would be happening tomorrow night, which was fortunately a weekend. Meaning when the twins came back from school, they would have to quickly finish their homework and prepare beforehand.

As they were about to reach commercial, Alex sensed a powerful presence nearby, getting closer. Alex decided to get something to eat. As he about was about to reach into the fridge, the doorbell rang. It was then Alex felt a strong demonic power on the other side, easily surpassing any other Devil that he had killed over the years. However, he did not feel any hostility coming from the person, so whoever it was, was not here for a fight. Still, Alex didn't want to start anything so close to civilians. With that thought in mind, Alex teleported to the outskirts of Kuoh, deep in the woods that surrounded the town. As he suspected, the entity had followed him. Raising his left hand, his personal magic circle appeared and soon a five-mile radius of the land was covered inside a spatial dome, sending that area Alex was in into another dimension. "I know you're there, might as well come out." Alex said.

A second later, a man walked from behind a tree. Now standing before Alex was what could be best described an older male version of Rias Gremory. The man was quite handsome, with long red hair, fair skin and blue-green eyes. He wore armor and a cape befitting a man of nobility. Alex didn't need to even guess who this was: Sirzechs Lucifer, formerly Gremory and one of the four current demon lords who ruled Devil Society.

Sirzechs took a moment to study the man. He had felt the barrier around them the moment Alex put it up. It was quite impressive, could probably give Ajuka a run for his money. And the aura he was giving off made Sirzechs realize that there was more to this human than it seems. Plus, he had no idea what kind of Sacred Gear Alex wielded, nor the full extent of his magic and combat prowess. The Super Devil would have to approach this carefully.

"Greetings, my name is Sirzechs Lucifer. I trust you heard about me." Sirzechs said, being polite. He didn't seem the least bit bothered by the barrier around them.

"Well, this is a surprise." Alex said with a bored tone. "Or it would be, if I didn't already figure out that the redhead went and told someone. I'm guessing your sister filled you in." As he spoke, he could feel Sirzechs exerting power, obviously trying to intimidate him. Unfortunately for the Devil, it had no effect on Alex.

Realizing this as well, Sirzechs cleared his throat. "Yes, she did inform me. As her old brother you can understand that I'm concern for her safety as well as that of her peerage and that of the Sitri heiress." He then added, "Also I am grateful that you decided to move out here, though I am curious how you did it. I did not sense teleportation magic, was it some kind of new magic?"

"If you must know, I am here on behalf of a request from a friend of mine." Alex said, ignoring Sirzechs' question. "Kuoh has been labeled as a place where one or several people might be targeting for future use. As for my two charges, they are members of the Sentinels."

Sirzechs stiffened at the name 'Sentinels'. The Sentinel Brotherhood, an organization connected to the Illuminati Order, both focused on the welfare of humanity and pre-dated the formation of the Church. The Lucifer himself had several run in with members of the order in the past. A lot of them did not end on friendly terms. There were also a good number of Devils who had been killed in the past by the Sentinels, increasing more when the Evil Pieces were made. Many of their kind who had set up territories in the human world had been assassinated, though attempt to locate the killers were unsuccessful.

"If what you say is true, do you have any proof?" Sirzechs asked. "Better yet, what is the mission you have been assigned? I cannot allow you to enter this place which is under Devil control, rented or not."

Alex frowned, not liking how the Devil was assuming he was lying. "I am not actually a member, though I am affiliated with them. I cannot give you any proof I am afraid. Because of that, I cannot reveal the contents of our mission here. Besides, you lot have no authority in this town, seeing how you're renting it." He spotted the surprise look on Sirzechs' face. "Yes, I am aware that you and the Sitri worked out a deal with the Shinto Faction to occupy Kuoh. In return you ensure no harm comes to the humans here. Those girls and their servants aren't doing a very good job at that by the way. Still, I do not mean to harm them unless it is under self-defense."

Sirzechs frowned at the statement. True, there had been some deaths caused by Stray Devils, the young Devils here couldn't be everywhere. "I'll admit, there could be room for improvement. However, that does not excuse the fact that you and your students came here without permission." A red aura began to surround the Satan as he said his words. His right hand activated a binding spell that immobilized Alex, while in his left hand was a sphere of destructive demonic energy. "If you will not tell me your purpose here, I will have to take you back for interrogation." While this may have seemed to be unnecessary, Sirzechs wasn't going to take any risks. He had heard the rumors of this man, known as the Hunter. If even half of them were true, then the Lucifer would have to guess that Alex was around the same level as the famous Vasco Strada. Sirzechs could not risk in holding back.

Those thoughts had barely left his mind when Alex suddenly appeared in front of him, having broken his spell. The Devil's eyes widened. He hadn't felt the human make any movements at all. Teleportation magic perhaps, no this was more like space magic. But what really stunned Sirzechs was that Alex calmly gripped his orb of destruction without any problems. Five rings then appeared on Alex's left hand, the same hand touching the orb. Multi-colored lines ran across the orb as Nexus Breaker caused the power to become unstable.

Before he jumped back before the orb exploded, Sirzechs heard Alex say, "I do not take orders from you."

His attack exploded and consumed Alex. Sirzechs managed to get back a good distance, but even then his face and clothes were a little dirty. Even for someone like him, the Crimson-Haired Satan would think twice then taking an attack at point blank range, especially his own attack. And he doubted that Alex would've been taken down by something like that, though probably a bit hurt.

Suddenly, Sirzechs found himself being pulled forward by an invisible force. He tried to stop himself by unveiling his wings, but it did little good for Sirzechs as he was pulled towards the smoke. When said smoke cleared, it revealed a perfectly fine Alex, his right arm stretched out. His left hand was in a fist and heading towards the Devil's face. Sirzechs couldn't even defend himself as Alex delivered a powerful uppercut. The impact created a shockwave that sent Sirzechs flying into the sky.

The blow itself nearly made the Super Devil lose consciousness, an impressive feat for a human. Fortunately, Sirzechs was able to stop himself mid-air, his wings keeping him afloat. Spitting out some blood, the Devil gazed at Alex with a calculating look. It was clear that this human was far stronger than even Vasco in his prime. The Satan could not afford to hold back. With that in mind, Sirzechs conjured multiple orbs of destruction around him before firing them off in rapid succession.

Slamming his left hand on the ground, Alex raised a large wall of earth in front of him. Then with his right hand, Alex reinforced the wall with multiple layers. Sirzechs' barrage struck the wall, tearing away bits of it slowly, yet the stone wall stood firm. The Devil continued his attack however, hoping to wear Alex down.

But, the 'Alex' he was attacking was not the real one. As he was heading towards the outer edge of Kuoh, Alex used the reality aspect of Quantum Astro to create a solid illusion, or clone, of himself, to distract Sirzechs. The real Alex teleported behind Sizechs and then solidified the air around them to create multiple air bombs that homed in on the Satan. By the time Sirzechs realized this, Alex launched his bombs, releasing powerful shockwaves that blew the Lucifer towards the ground.

For extra measure, Alex released compressed space into his fist. The punch released a pressure burst of distorted space around Sirzechs, crushing him against the ground as it shattered upon impact. The result left a deep breathing Satan lying on the ground, trying to catch his breath. As Alex's feet were about to touch the ground, Sirzechs snapped right back up and raised a hand. Multiple reddish black spheres appeared around the human. They all detonated simultaneously and shook the barrier. Despite that, they failed their task as Alex flew out of the smoke. Gripping his left hand, which then began to glow, Alex fired multiple energy beams right at Sirzechs.

The Demon King formed a magic barrier to protect himself. In response, Alex waved his right hand. The ground beneath Sirzechs' feet became liquid, causing the red Devil to lose his footing just as the attack hit. The barrier deflected most of the beams, but a few struck him, mainly piercing his right leg and left shoulder.

He lunged at the human. His body was now coated in a red aura, his Power of Destruction. He launched a powerful punch at Alex, using his power to augment the attack.

Alex covered his own body in a multi-colored layer of magic and stopped Sirzechs' punch with a single finger. The impact released a huge burst of wind, signifying just how strong the Satan's punch would have been. "Interesting, this is the first time I have seen such control over the Power of Destruction. None of the Bael members I've faced in the past displayed such prowess." Mused Alex as he looked at Sirzechs' shocked face. "Unfortunately, having seen it so many times I've already developed a counter against this."

What Alex did was that he used his Sacred Gear's abilities to control the efficiency of Sirzechs' Power of Destruction, reducing its strength upon contact. After all, even though it was a powerful ability, in the end the Power of Destruction was just a more unstable and destructive form of energy. So long as Alex was touching it, he could reduce its power into a more stabilize form. To prove it, Sirzechs' aura began to cool down and eventually disappeared.

With that said, Alex had no problem with delivering a strong punch to Sirzechs' face. The blow cause blood to fly out of Sirzechs' nose and mouth. Alex followed it up with a powerful kick to the stomach, causing the Devil to fly backwards, hitting the ground hard. By now Sirzechs had a broken nose, missing a few teeth from the uppercut, several burns and cuts on his body and bits of his clothes were torn too. This was the first time that Sirzechs has been overwhelmed in such a manner. Alex had a total understanding of his magic and Sacred Gear, utilizing both with extreme precision and tactical planning against the Lucifer. He left no openings for Sirzechs to take advantage of.

"Now then, let us have a proper talk, shall we Sirzechs." Alex said as he approached the downed Satan. However, when Alex was just a few feet away from Sirzechs, the Super Devil shot up and raised his right arm. A large sphere of destructive energy was formed, ready to fire. Alex had a surprise look on his face, making Sirzechs smirked…only for Alex to sigh.

"You mind giving that up." Alex said as he activated his personal golden magic circle, with another forming under Sirzechs, along with Nexus Breaker. The multi-colored lines covered Sirzechs's right arm, making the sphere become distorted. Seeing the Devil's surprise and confused eyes, Alex explained. "When I touched you when manipulating the stability of your first attack, I attached some markers on your body. Now for the next minute I can make your energy either become stable or unstable."

Alex didn't tell that this special skill of Nexus Breaker had various degrees of effect on people. It mainly depended on Alex's focus as well as the strength of the target. Individuals of Sirzechs' level and above could shake it off if focused. But by using the power effect of his Quantum Astro, Alex could augment the effects of Nexus Breaker so that the human could overcome the target's own strength, if for a short time.

Alex just watched as the sphere became even more unstable then the last one, consuming Sirzechs in a massive explosion.

(Around the same time, Occult Research Club)

Inside the old school building that served as Rias's base of operations, several other people were present. One was a beautiful gray-haired woman wearing a French maid uniform. This was Grayfia Lucifudge, Sirzechs' Queen and wife. She was to serve as a witness for the topic currently at hand. Said topic was between Rias and her fiancé, Riser Phenex, third son of the Phenex house. He was a tall and handsome young man in his early 20's with short blond hair and dark blue eyes. Right now he wore a burgundy blazer with gold embroidery on the right with matching pants and black dress shoes. Under his open blazer was a white dress shirt that was not fully buttoned and gave a slight view to his chest.

The reason for the argument was that Rias refused to marry Riser, who was well known for his playboy like behavior, seeing how his peerage consisted fully of girls. The engagement was made between the current heads of both houses, another reason why the Gremory heiress opposed the idea of marrying Riser.

Naturally foreseeing his sister's disagreement, Sirzechs had managed to convince the heads for the two sides to compete in a Rating Game to decide on the fate of the engagement. Grayfia was about to announce this when suddenly…

THWOOM!

As if a bubble popped, the entire room felt a surge of power overcoming them. The younger Devils gasped in surprise, with a few falling to their hands and knees. Even Grayfia was startled, momentarily losing her usual stoic feature as she felt the power, or rather powers. Two of them, incredibly large had appeared out of nowhere. One was unfamiliar to her, but the other was no doubt her husband's. And by the feeling of his demonic power gradually becoming smaller, something had happened.

Grayfia briefly looked at Rias, who also appeared to recognize her brother's power. "All of you. Remain here and do nothing until I return." The maid said in an icy tone that left no room for argument. She then disappeared into a teleportation circle.

Seconds later, Grayfia reappeared at the site where the two auras were coming from. What greeted her was something the woman would've never thought she would see.

The entire area looked like a warzone. Upheaved pieces of earth, smoke and dust rising and burnt trees were everywhere. But what caught Grayfia's attention were the two people in the middle of it all. One was Alex, who looked completely fine save for a few bits of dust on his clothes, and light scratches, barely noticeable. In his right hand was Sirzechs, being held by the throat and dangling him above the ground. The Devil's attire was in disarray. Only bits of armor remained, and his cape was completely gone. He had bruises covering his entire body, with some already bleeding. Sirzechs' eyes had gone white, indicating he had lost consciousness.

"So, this is the strongest Devil in history, huh?" Alex asked no one. "How weak"

"SIRZECHS!" Grayfia cried as she rushed forward. Gone was the stoic face of the maid of the Gremory Family, replaced by an enraged and horrified wife who was off to save her husband and attack the man responsible for hurting him.

But before she could reach Alex, Grayfia's senses kicked in and managed stopped herself just as two blasts, one of darkness and one of light, struck the ground between her and Alex, followed by their conjurers. Standing before the maid were Nathan and Natalie. They had their eight wings out with four being white feathered and the other four black leather.

"Nephalem…" Murmured Grayfia once she saw the wings and sensed the divine-demonic power coming from the twins. She could tell that individually, each was around Ultimate-Class, but together they might be able to match the Satan-class Devil. It would be a rough fight.

"I did not start this fight." Alex said as he tossed aside Sirzechs' unconscious body. Grayfia gritted her teeth at the action but still did nothing. "I merely revealed what I was allowed to reveal of us being here, yet your husband refused to accept that and was willing to use force. I merely defended myself in a manner that would ensure no harm came to the town and its inhabitants. That's why I had to brutalize him a bit, so to end the conflict quickly. Even someone like me can't hold back, too much, against a Super Devil."

He made a gesture to Nathan and Natalie and the two stand down, retracting their wings. Alex then looked back at Grayfia. "You may take Lucifer back to the Underworld. Be aware that I've already informed the leaders of the Illuminati and Sentinels about this so they will likely make contact with your leaders soon. Goodbye."

With those words, Alex opened a portal behind him. The twins entered first followed by the hunter, neither of them paying the maid any attention. Nor did she to them, as Grayfia immediately ran to her unconscious husband. Without waiting, Grayfia teleported to the Underworld, to the Gremory Manor. She would inform the houses of Sitri and Gremory about this before calling the other three Demon Lords.

Meanwhile, Alex knew that he was going to get a lot of shit from the Sentinels, Illuminati…and Terra Empire.

(Gremory Mansion, Day After Incident)

When news that Sirzechs had been defeated was received, it sent his family and friends into a panic. Sirzechs had been the first Devil to ever reach a level of power exceeding that of the original Demon Lords. He was even listed among the 'Top 10 Strongest Beings in the World' and there were very few who would wish to incur his wrath. So, the fact that Sirzechs was beaten so easily, and by a human for that matter, was quite the shocker.

The other Satans, Serafall Leviathan, Ajuka Beelzebub, Falbium Asmodeus, along with the Pillar Heads, were doing everything they could to suppress the information. Though it was only a matter of time before the news spread. Presently, Serafall and Ajuka were at the Gremory Mansion, meeting with Sirzechs and Rias' parents, Zeoticus Gremory, the current Head, and his wife Venelana Gremory. Rias wasn't there, as her parents wanted her to remain in Kuoh Town to avoid the political strife happening in the Underworld. Grayfia was with her, to ensure that Alex didn't bring any harm to her, Sona or their peerages. However, if it became necessary, they were ready to head back home if things got worse.

"How is Sirzechs?" Ajuka asked.

"Fortunately, he woke up a while ago. But the doctor still say it will be a while until he can move, even with the Phoenix Tears." Zeoticus answered.

"Well, as long as he's alive, that's all that matters." Venelana added.

"I still can't believe that Zech-tan actually got defeated." Serafall murmured. She had seen the condition that the redhead was in and was shocked of how badly injured he was.

"Have we heard anything from the Illuminati?" Venelana asked the Satan in charge of foreign affairs.

Serafall nodded. "According to them, the man named Alexander Zackery and his subordinates were sent to Kuoh due to recent activities happening there. This request also came from the Shinto Pantheon and Youkai Faction, who have become dissatisfied with our actions in the territory that was rented to the Gremory and Sitri families. Apparently, they have deep ties with the Illuminati and Sentinels. I've tried talking to their leaders, but they said unless events directly effect our faction, we're are to be kept out of the loop." She said.

"And we can't use this attack as an excuse. According to their evidence, Sirzechs was the one who initiated hostilities with Alex, who merely defended himself. If we try to push forward than we risk losing our hold on Kuoh." Ajuka added. It didn't help that Sirzechs confirmed it as well, though he probably knew that it was better trying to stir up trouble.

The Gremory patriarch and his wife sighed in irritation. As much as they would like to get their hands on the one who beaten their son, they knew their hands were tied. That didn't stop Venelana from asking, "Is there anything we know about this Alexander Zackery person?"

"According to the information Falbium managed to acquire, he's a famous mercenary and hunter of the supernatural. He accepts any job within his code of conduct, such as not killing women and children. Among his achievements he has defeated many vampires, werewolves, Stray Devils, Fall Angels and other threats. The Church has made attempts in the past to recruit him, but Zackery has always refused them. I guess now we know why seeing how he is affiliated with the Sentinels." Ajuka explained. "However, we have no idea what his abilities are. From what Sirzechs explained, his magic is both unique and versatile and he seems to have a Sacred Gear that can alter certain objects and people, such as demonic energy. Other than that, he is a skill tactician having been able to overwhelm Sirzechs easily."

They could not deny that. Alex had shown both power and technique during his fight with Sirzechs. That in the hands of a strong and capable person made for a dangerous combination. There was little they could do however, as Alex refused to leave Kuoh until his task was complete. He himself assured that so long as hostilities were not directed towards him or his students, there would be no more fighting. It was hard to accept the word of someone who put their friend/son/leader into such a state, but for the sake of peace, they had no choice.

(Continent of Mu, Few Days After Incident)

The supernatural world believes that the Sentinels are a sub-branch of the Illuminati. However, that is far from the truth, a lie made to deceive those beings. In truth, they are two separate organizations. The Illuminati Order oversees and influences the affairs and progress of humanity, guiding it to a better future, while also dealing with the supernatural that try to manipulate humans. The Sentinel Brotherhood's purpose is to protect humanity from the supernatural, slaying monsters or dealing with entities that wish to harm humans, ensuring that mankind is not treated as fodder or slaves. In order to properly explain, one would have to go back several million years into the past, back during the Great Flood.

When God had lost faith in humanity, he sent the flood. Only Noah, his wife, three sons and their wives were spared, boarding the Ark as the Earth was flooded. However, what God did not know was that Seth, the third son of Adam and Eve, direct ancestor of Noah and first Sacred Gear wielder, was still alive. Unable to agree with God's plan, Seth secretly took many survivors to the one place where God could not see: the eighth continent, Mu. Between the flood consuming everything and humanity rebuilding their numbers, Seth began to teach the survivors, and lead them on their new life in Mu. The supernatural properties of the continent began to change those humans, making them stronger than before. And with Seth's help, the people constructed a civilization more advanced than there their time. By the time of the 21st century, their civilization had reached the point they could conduct space travel safely, combining science and magic in perfect unity. This new nation that engulfed an entire continent was promptly called the Terra Empire.

The relationship between the Empire, Illuminati and Sentinels focuses on Seth. After humanity had restored its numbers on Earth, and the civilization of Mu was advancing well without him, Seth returned to the seven continents. From there he gathered unique individuals, Sacred Gear wielders, Holy Sword and/or Demon Sword users and magicians to his side and formed the Sentinels, a brotherhood dedicated to protecting humanity from the machinations of the supernatural, both the divine and the demonic.

As for the Illuminati, their membership consisted of people with political, military and economic influence, who would help guide the fledging civilizations of man to a state where they would be equal to the Empire. Another form of membership were humans who were born with what is called the Trinity Gene. This unique gene was formed by the three sons of Noah, descendants of Seth. From this, humans would gain three important aspects that would be increased to their full potential, mind, body and spirit. This would make these humans even stronger than the ones from Mu and even on par with supernatural beings. Those selected would become leaders of Illuminati as well as agents, tasked with dealing with human affairs and those of the supernatural should they try to influence humans.

Presently inside the Pangea Tower, the heart of the Terra Empire, a meeting was taking place at the highest peak of the tower. Inside a large room with three red couches, four red chairs and two coffee tables were ten individuals, all of them wearing black clothing. These people were the highest ranked authority of the Empire, the Sephirot Ten. Since the Empire's founding, Seth gathered ten of the brightest and strongest people and named them as the leaders, giving them each a codename, one of the ten Sephirot of the Kabbalah. This title was passed down from generation to generation.

Across from them was a holographic projection of William "Gillian" Gilgamesh. William was a handsome man in his early twenties. He had short spiky blonde hair, light tanned skin and red eyes. He wore a blue suit with a white dress shirt and yellow tie. This was the Supreme Grandmaster of the Sentinels.

Keter, a middle age man with short brown hair, a trimmed beard and a scar running across his forehead said, "So, Alexander has made contact with Sirzechs Lucifer…and promptly trounced the Devil."

A young woman between her twenties and thirties, with blonde hair tied into a ponytail and wearing black skirt with her suit that had golden buttons, Binah, spoke next. "This will no doubt give the Sentinels a lot of attention. It might also cause certain parties to act now that one of the Top 10 has been defeated so easily." She stated.

"That could have serious consequences for us and the stability for the human world should the other pantheons act. Especially Hades, he might try targeting the Devils if it were not for Ajuka Beelzebub still being active." Said Yesod, a black hair man dressed in a tuxedo, a red tie and monocle over his right eye.

"Though a conflict between them is of no concern to us, we need to keep a close eye on their movements." Chokmah, the tallest member with long white hair and a mustache and beard, said. "We cannot take risks should an unforeseen event occur."

"Agreed, we cannot take anything to chance. What are the Sentinels doing to prepare?" A man with grey hair in the shape of dreadlocks and earrings and a yellow and magenta Hawaiian shirt under his suit, named Netzach, asked.

"I've issued orders to all higher ranked Sentinels to be on alert, including the Masters, and Grandmasters. Lower ranked members have been recalled to their respective city-states." William replied. "However, we will not be prepared for a full-scale attack given our few numbers. That is why I wish to request for aid from the Terra Army."

"We shall inform the High Marshal of this and have several divisions on standby should the need arise." Hod, a middle-age man with black hair that was graying on the sides, said. The white collared shirt under the suit was half un-buttoned as he leaned back in his chair. "Has there been any news from the spies in the Church regarding the Turok-Hans?"

"According to our spies, they are calling a number of exorcists to help reinforce the Vatican until the situation has calmed down. However, it seems like there have been multiple attacks in several locations." William replied. "Normally we wouldn't be concern, but these locations are where the Excalibur shards are being held."

That made the Sephirots uneasy. Geburah, the most muscular member, with tan skin, baldhead and wore a blue dress shirt and white tie under his black suit, frowned. "It is most likely the shards are the target of these attacks. The timing is too perfect to call this a coincidence. Did we dig any information on the perpetrator on the Turok-Hans?"

"We have" William said as he summoned a screen showing Emmerich's face. "Emmerich Richtung, a vampire noble and member of the Tepes Faction. Apparently, he was conducting experiments using captured vampires from Carmilla Faction to try and find a means to enhance vampires and make them immune to their natural weaknesses. However, the results were either the victims died or were turn into Turok-Hans when Emmerich fed them vampire blood. Once the latter happened, Emmerich changed his focus to growing more of the beasts, to tame them as a weapon. Since a vampire feasting on another vampire is not only dangerous, but heretical, the Tepes Faction killed him, with the reason also including to avoid a war between the Carmilla Faction." Explained William. "But, as we learned, they were unsuccessful and Emmerich managed to escape. During our investigation of the catacombs, we discovered a large laboratory deep underground. There we found numerous pods that were growing Turok-Hans. Our scientists believe that these creatures were created artificially, not from transformed vampires."

Malkuth, a bald man with a blonde mustache who was wearing black shades and had golden earrings and bracelets said, "Creating Turok-Hans from scratch is no easy task. Even skilled alchemists would find the task nigh impossible. This Emmerich must've been receiving backing from a considerable source. Perhaps by the ones who stole the Excalibur shards?"

"I think that is Alex's guess too." William added. "The theft of the shards is a major blow to the Heaven Faction. We've already received reports that the church's forces are mobilizing. And according to Mrs. Ambrosius, she has reason to believe that the thief is from the Grigori and has plans for Kuoh, a place being rented by two Devil families. We've narrow down the suspects and we have reason believe that Kokabiel is the mastermind. He has been a staunch supporter of restarting the conflict."

Tiferet, a middle-age black haired woman who wore a male suit with yellow thin stripes going down it, let out a sigh. "It appears as if there are some among the Biblical Faction cannot stand the status quo. Depending on what happens, this could erupt into a Second Great War."

A clean-shaven elderly man, wearing glasses over his brown eyes, his black hair swept to the left and wore a black blazer with white vest and yellow shirt under, slammed his cane against the floor. Chesed stated firmly, "We cannot allow that to happen! If another war should arise from this, it could lead to the total destruction of Earth and humanity. We must be prepared to handle the situation. Have all Sentinels with Rank Master and above prepared to for combat. Terra Troopers and Illuminati agents should also be prepared too."

The other Sephirots nodded in agreement. William bowed his head in acknowledgment before his image disappeared, ending the meeting.

(Nighttime, Unknown Location)

Inside a large mansion there was a single light room at the very top of a tower. Inside was a room that had shelves filled with books. Also present were a fireplace, a small round coffee table, a lamp resting on another table and a red Vatican chair. Sitting on the chair, his feet on a matching leg rest, was a man currently reading a book. He had an oblong head with a sharp chin and defined jawlines, a pair of pointed ears on either side, pale lavender hair and red eyes. His eyebrows were so thin that it almost looked like the yellow markings on his forehead were his eyebrows instead. The attire the man wore involved a three-layered tuxedo, having an overall white color scheme.

"Lord Sargon" Another man said. He was standing a respectful distance from the first man. This one wore a blue butler suit, with a white dress shirt and red tie underneath and had black gloves over his hands. His short black hair was combed back and had green eyes and fair skin. "Forgive my interruption, but we've received news that Sirzechs has been defeated…by a human."

"A human you say?" Sargon asked. "Do we know who it was? I doubt just any ordinary human could've defeated a 'Super Devil'."

"We've already confirmed the person, my lord. It was the man known as Alexander Zackery, also known as the Hunter." The butler replied.

The name made Sargon pause from his reading. Putting his book down a sinister smile formed on the man's lips. "Alexander, huh? So, that man has decided to step out into the spotlight, has he?" Sargon asked no one in particular. "This could be a good opportunity for us. What is Kokabiel doing right now?"

"He has already stolen three of the Excalibur shards." Answered the butler. "I believe he is preparing to infiltrate Kuoh Town."

"I see. In that case let's give him a little help. If Alex really is in that town, he won't stand a chance, and I do wish to make this interesting. Send little Rachel and Choronzon to assist him and his merry band. That ought to liven things up." Sargon ordered.

"Understood, my lord." The butler bowed and headed off to carry out Sargon's orders. All the while, Keiji still had the same evil smile on his face.

There you go! Hoped you enjoyed this chapter. I tried to do my best with Alex and Sirzechs' fight, so I hoped you liked it. Be sure to leave a review! Information on the engagement will also be revealed next chapter!
