I OWN NOTHING!

David opened his car door and firmly stepped out and onto the paved parking lot for his first year teaching at BOREDERMENS BOARDING SCHOOL. While it wasn't Camp Campbell, it would have to do until next summer! With his Camp Scarf folding on the pocket of his Teachers uniform for good luck, he took in a deep breath, put on a big smile, and was now ready to begin the school year teaching spoiled kids the wonders of nature in his Natural Science Class!

Also his Art class!

His gym class

His creative writing class…

David had also signed up to Co-Teach a bunch of other classes as well. The busy schedule made him feel more at home, more like he was counseling the chaotic camp that he held so dear to his heart. Oh, now if he had his campers to show the joy of state mandatory education too.

"WHAT THE-!" David froze in the middle of the side walk he was now walking on; Kids being dropped off with big bags every which way. Parents and children all screaming, arguing, and wishing tearful good byes were all drowned out, because he recognized that cynical voice like he recognized the Camp Campbell theme song.

David turned around so fast that he almost lost balance, a smile so wide on his face that it almost looked physically impossible.

"-FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" Max all but screamed at his ex-camp Counselor, while the small 10-year-old struggled to drag large duffle bag behind him.

It was! His little camper was at the same school he was teaching at! The red head let out a squeal and at the speed of David, was already ruffling he grumpy boy's hair, who quickly swatted his hand away.

Max reverted back to who we had back at camp, a grumpy cynic, who was either bored or angry with everything. He wouldn't admit it; the three days he had spent at home were hell. Not quite Camp Camp hell, but up there. He secretly missed Camp, missed the trees, missed the fire, missed his friend, missed setting things on fire with his friends, and he missed David.

David had snatched Maxes class schedule out of his hand and nearly squealed again when it turned out, Max had all but one class with his as the teacher, lunch. Max whined about how his life was now over, and how he was never going to get a break from his new teachers overly optimistic attitude. Though, it didn't have the same bite that it did back at camp, it even sounded a bit playful. Max had been dreading going to some stuck up boarding school, but now that David would be his teacher all year long, it didn't look as threatening. Like some obnoxiously bright light at the end of a tunnel.

Little does the pair now, that in the others head they were both thinking the same thing. "Maybe this year wont so bad after all" Besides, what's a Camper without a Counselor, or a Counselor without a Camper.
