Disclaimer: Don't own and never will. Okay?
AN: This is a continuation of my plans to write a story for every member of Marinette's class. This time, it's Max.
"I don't understand why you are asking me for help. I am not a romantic like Rose and statistically I do not have a very high level of success or experience with members of the opposite sex."
"Come on Max, you're my best friend!" Kim said waving his hands almost despairingly. "You're the smartest person I know!"
"Well…"
"And you won't laugh at me either! Come on Max, help me out here!"
"Very well," Max said as he pushed his glasses up his nose. "I will start doing the necessary research and present to you my findings as soon as they are ready," he paused and looked at his friend. "I hope that my assistance will be sufficient to turn the odds in your favour."
"Thanks Max, I knew I could count on you buddy!" Kim said excitedly and Max sighed.
"I must warn you however that I cannot guarantee success in this endeavour," he warned, but Kim didn't appear to hear him. With a sigh, he pulled out his smart phone and began to search for the perfect Valentine's Day gift.
He just wished that his friend had picked someone easier to woo than Chloe Bourgeois.
AN: Yes, this IS leading up to Dark Cupid. I think I'll have to visit Max again sometime, the muse is not keen on writing this.
