Hello, and I finally here with the last chapter! This is nothing more than an epilogue and it's really short, so I'm really sorry about that! College has got me beat down and stress always arise at the worst possible moments, but at least I'm here to bring this story to an end! I'm surprised I even made it this far. I honestly thought I'd just drop this and be dead with it, but heeeeey I'm here to finish this off!

Prince PokePersona: "Omg you're having a celebration XD Haha good job for getting it right, and oop to that part! I cry for Minori everyday, that damn hoe. Fumio is a good boy, we must love and protect him for as long as possible. Sagiso is a major character haha, probably makes her suspicious on the getgo, that silly girl. Overpopulation is an issue I like tackling, and apparently Sagiso likes to tackle that as well, oops. Kaniza is a sad girl. Asami suffered for being a good and righteous girl, that poor girl XD Haha, thanks! Aww, nice! Thanks so much haha. I'm just glad I was able to finish this story despite all the clutter that comes with it, oops."

Ziggymia123: "OMG LMAO GOOD JOB. Haha, good job, Ziggy XD Happy endings? What's a happy ending? Hehe, maybe, maybe not, I don't even know, I think. Aww, thanks so much! You're the best!"

mayurie: "Hey there wifey! Aww, thanks! Poor Sagiso, she's a wonderful babey and I will still protect her. Yeah, poor kids. I do not know happy endings, I only know pain and suffering. Happy endings are a myth! Aww, thanks so much! You're the best and good luck with your things too!"

Sagiso Hazuki sighed as she looked through the piles of paper stacked on her desk. Even though it's been a few months since she had recently been appointed to her job as the head manager to a project deemed essential to the overall work of Libertas itself, she found it nonetheless tiring. It is a job built to secure the future of this world, and yet the woman found herself sighing out of pure exhaustion and exasperation. Those stacks of paper… they were overwhelming.

The woman frowned, looking over to the side. There, she found herself looking at her partner: Minori Watanabe himself. The man seemed to be busy at the moment, though Sagiso wasn't sure he was exactly busy- while the man was busy entertaining a guest of theirs, the woman knew his mind held nothing but blank thoughts. Did he even have any thoughts? … she had still refused to answer herself.

"Minori," she softly called out, hoping to catch his attention. The man merely ignored her, though his dull eyes slightly twitched. "Is there any update on the news?"

A few seconds of silence. Minori was staring down at a young child, holding a toy train for him to play with. The pseudologist pursed his lips. "Nothing that will catch your interest. Mr. Kaijin's been on interviews to mediate certain areas of chaos."

"Like Tokyo and Osaka." Sagiso nodded. "Yeah, I know that." She went silent for a few seconds. It was as if she was waiting for a response, but yet, like always, nothing. She always had to initiate it. "... Have you been talking to Nyein and the other two?"

"Only when I see them. I am not obliged to talk to them." Minori's face softened as he noticed the kid grinning at him. "They are doing something that is separate from what I'm doing, after all."

"I mean, it's still better to keep tabs on everything." Sagiso let out a soft laugh, yet Minori never reciprocated her feelings. She bit into her lips and slowly moved over to her papers. She took a look at them, then frowned. "Have you looked through the pool of candidates yet?"

"For the upcoming experiment?" Minori blinked. He glanced back at the kid who threw him a curious look. His expression immediately softened as he picked up the kid and allowed him on his back. "I have, but it is of no concern to me. That is the others' job. They are in charge of it."

"I mean, true, but…" She lost her voice again. She had nothing to say. Sagiso coughed. "How about we go take a walk? You've been cooped up here for a while now, same with me."

Minori frowned. "... The kid."

Sagiso's eyes looked over to the child. She eyed the tiny boy who was playing with Minori's hair, twirling it around and around in his tiny fingers. A sigh escaped her lips. "He can come with us. You can carry him."

The pseudologist only threw her another look. He seemed hesitant, his dull green eyes staring her down. "I rather not."

Sagiso's face fell. "Minori."

"I just want to stay here with this kid." Minori glanced over at the kid who was nuzzling his nose against his hair now. The pseudologist brought a hand over to touch the little boy, comforting him. "He's an orphan, right?"

"I mean…" The woman pursed her lips. "The kid's only here because Mr. Kaijin found him off the streets. I don't know why he kept him."

Minori nodded slowly. "I see." He turned back to the kid and brought him to the floor. "Is it fine if I ask Mr. Kaijin to keep him?"

Sagiso was beyond shocked. She was looking down at the pseudologist, now standing in front of him. "You want to take care of him? You just met him."

"The only person I have is you." Minori threw her an indifferent stare, a look of pure death. "I want to be with someone else. You already cost me everything else, so… I just want to have someone I can trust."

The psychogeographer instantly knew what he was talking about. Her expression soured, and she put her hands forward, trying to reach Minori to comfort him. He only stepped back in response, and her heart sank. "You're only acting like that because of what happened during the simulation."

Minori only averted his gaze. The kid was painfully unaware of what was happening, now playing with his toy car again. "I'll stay here."

"Minori." Sagiso threw him a look. "Seriously."

The pseudologist continued to avoid her gaze, staring at the kid. "You know I never wanted to be with you," he murmured, sighing. "You always drug me whenever I disobey. I am practically hopeless now. I live no life."

"Ugh, Minori, you know that's not true." Sagiso quickly walked forward and grabbed his shoulder, forcing him to still. "I care about you and everyone else."

Minori grimaced. "That's obviously a lie." His lips were pursed. "You don't care about me. You don't care about anyone. You didn't even care during that time with-!"

"Shut up!" Sagiso threw out her gun- the same goddamn gun she would always use to drug the man. She was panting, heaving deeply. Her face was flushed, eyes wide as she looked at the man who went silent. "Y-you know that's not true. I cared about them, Minori, but they were not on our side. They were just… subjects."

"Oh, so apparently anyone who's not on our side doesn't matter." Minori laughed. The drug had worn off on him- it was either that, or he was acting on his own accord. "God, I'm so sick of this! I hate it, I hate it so much. I can't be free, I just have to be- what?- a fucking bitch to you? If I try to argue with you, you immediately drug me! You even have that stupid gun out right now!"

Sagiso shook her head. No, she refused to believe it, to hear how cold his voice sounded. She refused to even look at the kid who was confused, only staring at the duo with bafflement struck on his face. "The drug's giving you side effects. You need to rest, Minori, please just rest."

The pseudologist's eyes began to tear up. "I'm not experiencing any side effects or anything. The drugs aren't working on me anymore. I'm just telling you what I think, and what I think is…" He shakily breathed. "I just want to be done with everything."

Sagiso shivered. A chill ran down her spine. "W-what do you mean by that?"

"Exactly what I said. I hate this so much." Minori bit into his lips. "Everytime I think I'm doing something right, it comes crashing down on me. Killing my father led me to this shithole, trying to help…" He sobbed. "Fumio and Kaniza and Kakuma and Asami and- god, I couldn't even save them all, everyone except for us fucking died and… worst of all, I fell in love with you."

"That's- no, no, no…" Sagiso shook her head, hot and salty tears began to fill her eyes. Memories of the killing game circled around and around in her head… Kaniza began to fill her head. Her grip on the gun tightened and she choked out a soft laugh. "Y-you're lying as always. M-maybe if I just shoot more doses into you… you'll love me… I'll be accepted…"

"That's all you wanted, right? To be seen as an influencer and become a godlike figure." Minori glared at the woman even when he gestured the kid to the corner. "So what? You're going to drug me again and again until I'm completely under your trance? That's sick."

"It's for the sake of Libertas and the world." Sagiso was shaking horribly, her heart jumping and pounding at her. "The drugs already wore off, so I need to inject you… again and again and again and…"

"You're on drugs yourself. That fucking drug is called naivety." Minori smirked dryly at her. "Why don't you understand? Libertas is-"

"Libertas is what saves us from fucking society!"

Minori's eyes widened. He fell into silence, eyes staring at Sagiso who was wheezing, teary-eyed. He stayed like this for a while, eyes slowly averting to the ground. "... I'm not from a higher position like you. Do you know what the higher ups do when you're not looking?"

Sagiso just stared at him.

"Everything that is done is for the sole purpose that Libertas is liberating you, saving us." The pseudologist's face soured. "Drugs always wear off on people, and the higher ups used that goddamn excuse of 'it's to make sure they don't disobey' in order to mentally and physically abuse us. You do know I can still think while brainwashed? Do you even know how much being abused fucking traumatizes me? I'm fucking trapped no matter what you do."

"I-if I just asked Mr. Kaijin to improve the effects of the drugs then…"

"Then what? You'll command me to get on my knees and treat you like some queen?" Minori's expression turned even darker than before. "No matter what, you know this isn't true love. I will never love you and I never wanted to be in this shithole of a place!"

"Shut up!"

And the drug was immediately shot into Minori, knocking him out. Sagiso's ears rung, her lips quivering as she looked down at her unconscious friend. Tears filled her eyes as she dropped it, running over to his side and grabbing him, holding him closely to her.

"Oh, Minori…" She cradled him in her arms, nuzzling her head against his. "I'm so sorry."

"Mm…" The pseudologist only groaned in response, head turning. "Sagiso…"

I need to make him understand. Sagiso hugged him tighter, running her fingers down his hair. She watched the man shiver underneath her, breathing ragged. "... I love you."

Silence.

"Miss?" The kid was worriedly staring at Sagiso. His eyes were sparkling in tears. "Is Mr. Minori okay? I want to play with him more."

Right. It's this kid's goddamn fault for making Minori turn on me. Sagiso glared at the kid and scoffed. "You should leave. He's busy right now."

The kid only blinked innocently, confusingly. A pout escaped his lips as he walked over to Minori, hugging him with his tiny hands. "Mm, I want him to come back."

"No." Sagiso frowned. "Just leave him alone."

The gun was right near her very body.

"... Just leave."

The kid only stared at Sagiso and made a huff. His hands tightened around Minori's body. "Mm, don't wanna."

Sagiso gritted her teeth. "Please."

And yet the kid never left, even when the gun was pointed at his head.

Blood.

"... Minori." Sagiso nervously looked at the pseudologist. He eyed her with a dull smile, watching her in her summer dress. Her cheeks were slightly pink as she approached him. "Is it nice?"

"Of course it is." He nodded his head. "You look nice in anything."

"Minnie." Sagiso immediately ran over and threw her arms around him. "I love you so much."

And the pseudologist would only nod in return, his cold hands wrapping themselves around her. "I love you too."

Of course he loved her. He couldn't say anything less. He couldn't disagree. He had no voice.
