And here's a second chapter!

Now, for most of you people, this is the only chapter you got informed of today, BUT, I already replaced the notice with a new, actual chapter.

I did it the subtle way though, by simply updating it.

Yeah, I only thought of the delete option after it was done.

But, hey, any real fans will bother to read the first words right at the top, and will be like 'wait, second? did I miss something?' so... yeah, I'm not worried, the people who don't bother to read these are the ones who's opinion are really worthless to me.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy this chapter, because it's got something big in it!

Devil's Revenge! Come, Priestess and her Knights!

Ilia sighed as the remains of a Goliath faded away. The Grimm had been rather active as of late, and while she had a pretty good idea as to the cause, she wasn't really sure WHY exactly Salem would be more actively attacking Vale.

"It seems that's the last of them for now," Knightmon sighed, sheathing her sword before reverting to Kotemon. "Honestly, the only reason the Grimm would be so active is if things were bad, but they're not any worse than normal more or less…" Kotemon sighed.

"Think Salem is trying to get to Beacon while Ozpin is in Oscar's body?" Ilia frowned.

"Could be, but the Brothers said they didn't find the Relic in Vale when they trashed the place, so she's gonna find a whole lot of nothing...or at least hasn't found the real location yet," Kotemon mused.

"And until then we're the ones stuck having to deal with her aiming for an empty vault," Ilia sighed.

"Well… that or the vault just needs a REALLY big key… or, you know, something like that." Kotemon added, throwing out that possibility as well.

Ilia paused at that "A big key… like all four Maiden Powers you think?"

"Could be." Kotemon nodded.

"Something to tell the others then, see if the twins had considered it a possibility." Ilia said after a moment.

"First thing we'll do when we get back to more...secure...areas. I don't think texting or calling now is a good idea," Kotemon said, earning a nod of agreement.

However, before they could start to do that idea, they heard sounds from the trees...and soon enough more Grimm were coming out of the woodwork. "Again?" Ilia groaned.

"No choice then. Guess we'll have to clear them out again," Kotemon gulped. However, right as the Grimm were about to attack...they suddenly seemed to lose focus...and promptly started turning on each other.

"...that's new," Ilia blinked.

"I thought you might appreciate a break." she heard a voice say, turning around to see Azure walking up to her, Mystimon next to him, his crystal ball shining in his hand.

"I made them see illusions of humans over themselves… so they're all attacking each other." Mystimon explained with a chuckle.

"Grimm may sense fear… but when you're not afraid, or not feeling any other negative emotion really, they just have their other senses to go off of." Azure grinned.

"Not being afraid of Grimm...it's honestly almost like a dream how that's a feeling we've been getting a lot more lately," Ilia couldn't help but chuckle. "Ever since the Digimon appeared and became our friends...the Grimm really haven't felt so scary anymore have they?"

"As long as we're together, the Grimm aren't an enemy we can't beat!" Kotemon cheered.

"Just don't get over confident," Mystimon said with a light chuckle. "Even an Ultimate could fall if they let it go to their head."

"Speaking of head, we had an interesting thought about 'the Vault'," Ilia said.

"The one even we don't know about?" Azure checked.

"That one yeah. It might need a different or bigger key. Like all four of the Seasons to open it," Ilia said.

"Huh…" Azure blinked, before looking thoughtful "I… don't think we'd actually considered that one." he said, before shrugging "Well, if that's the case, just need to keep the Maiden Powers away from Salem and Cinder and we're good."

"We should tell the others this as soon as we can, so since the Grimm are more or less cleared out here…" Ilia frowned.

"Right, let's go back into the city. We'll be able to send the message once we're in a secure location," Azure nodded. "Mystimon?"

"Let's finish up here," Mystimon chuckled. "Blast Fire."

The remaining Grimm were soon burnt to a crisp and faded away, leaving the group to freely return to Vale proper.

"Hm…that's strange…" Azure frowned as they had made the message and were trying to send it.

"The message isn't getting sent for some reason…" Kotemon frowned.

"The CCT should be running just fine...and yet why are there fluctuations in the system?" Azure mused as he tapped into the system to try and figure out what was wrong.

"Has it ever acted like this before?" Ilia asked with a frown.

"Well… it's similar to the kind of interference that happens in the air when a Digimon comes through… but, why would it happen in the network?" Azure wondered.

"Perhaps some new Digimon are finding their way into Vale and its causing interference with the CCT," Wizardmon mused.

"It's...possible. I'll run a check on the CCT itself a bit later. For now though it seems things in Vale have stabilized," Azure sighed. "It's still strange why Salem would ramp up attacks on Vale...especially after the attack on Beacon was mostly a failure…"

"Well, she DOES have her Fall Maiden, so that's as good a reason as any I guess," Ilia shrugged.

"I'm just glad it's not just us protecting Vale," Azure sighed again, glad aside from the Huntsmen that were still in Vale, they had the help from the Digimon of Junk Town as well. Overall while Vale wasn't exactly at its peak, it was in a much better place than it would have been in one timeline.

At that moment his Scroll gave off an alert. "Hm...looks like more Grimm are causing problems," Azure frowned.

"Where are they?" Kotemon asked.

"They're in the section of the wall that team CFVY is patrolling. It SHOULDN'T be a problem," Azure said simply.

True enough…

"That the last of them?" Coco asked as she lowered her weapon, several Nevermores hitting the ground.

"Not quite but getting there!" came the voice of her partner...now a CannonBeemon as he opened fire on several more large Grimm, soon blowing them to pieces.

"They've been REALLY persistent, haven't they?" Velvet frowned.

"That's the reason we all came back," came an amused voice as two Ursas were destroyed by something fast flying into them as the owner of the attack landed next to her. It was a tall Digimon, roughly the same height as Yatsu, and could best be described as an anthropomorphic cat with a feminine build and light orange fur covering most of her body, two long scarf-like appendages coming out of the tuft of white fur on her neck, and the tip of her large, fluffy tail became thinner and actually ended in a stinger. All in all, the Digimon looked like it should very much be the evolution of Meicoomon… which it was, as this was Meicrackmon.

Digimon Analyzer: Meicrackmon

Meicrackmon. Vaccine type. A Perfect Level Beast Man Digimon. A Digimon that enjoys relaxing alone in the sunlight, all curled up like a cat as it basks in the warmth provided. Though should an enemy approach, she will hide in her surroundings to observe the situation, before striking with deadly precision. Her special attacks are Modestly Stun, paralyzing an opponent with her stinger after capturing them with her scarf, and Felt Made, creating copies of herself using small lures made from her fur.

"I'd say they should realize this is pointless for them, but then...Grimm," Fox sighed as he made another Grimm explode.

"Well, look at it this way. Nobody can say we're not Hunters after this," came another amused voice as a few Grimm died in a fire. Literally. The source being a black armored canine Digimon with large claws and a black helmet on his head, similar helmets attached to his shoulders and a long whip-like tail. This, was Cerberumon.

Digimon Analyzer: Cerberumon

Cerberumon. Virus Type. A Perfect Level Demon Beast Digimon. Known as the Watchdog of Hell, legends say it guards the doors to the Dark Area. Its claws are actually able to cut through low purity Chrome Digizoid, while the armor on its shoulders are sentient to a degree. Its special attacks are Hellfire, firing a stream of green flames from its mouth, and Inferno Gate, opening the "Gates of Hell" to cast its enemies into the Dark Area.

"For now let's just focus on beating them back as they come!" Yatsu said as he cleaved a Grimm in half.

"No arguments here!" came another voice as a large Deathstalker had its midsection caved in by a spiked club, killing it instantly. The owner of the club revealed to be a large Digimon that was at least a head taller than Yatsu with green skin, a wild mane of white hair behind its head with a single horn on its forehead, wearing a sleeveless tiger skin jacket with spiked pauldrons on the shoulders, leather pants on its legs with heavy boots that had spikes underneath.

"How are you liking that Perfect form Onimon?" Yatsu chuckled at his partner.

"Honestly? Never thought it'd be so awesome." Onimon laughed, resting his club on his shoulder.

Digimon Analyzer: Onimon

Onimon. Virus Type. A Perfect Level Oni Digimon. An Ogremon that after countless battles and constant perseverance gained greater power, evolving into a far more powerful form. Although more disciplined than his previous form, he still sometimes lets the power go to his head. His special attacks are Death Gavel, a powerful strike with his club, and Curb Stomp, stomping on the enemy with his spiked boots.

"Alright everyone, looks like we're almost done with this wave. All out attack?" CannonBeemon suggested.

"I like the way you think, partner!" Coco laughed as the group as a whole charged forward, and hit the Grimm like a wrecking ball. As such, it wasn't long before the last of the Grimm were decimated and the area cleared...for now.

"That's the last of them," Onimon said, looking around just to be safe.

"Think they'll stay away this time?" Velvet asked.

"...not likely no," Cerberumon sighed. "But hey, at least all the extra experience got us something good," he chuckled.

"These ARE quite useful," Fox agreed, holding up his new D-Ark and Blue Card, something they all had now too.

"Anyway, since the area's clear for now let's head back first," Coco chuckled, to which they soon did, though not before their partners reverted to a lower form...and ended up in their Child forms, not quite used to the powers of going Perfect yet.

"Well, that's a bit annoying." Onimon, now a Goburimon, said with a sigh,

"Can't be helped, the Chosen Children had this same problem too, and we only JUST got these forms." Meicrackmon, now a Salamon that lacked a Holy Ring said with a shrug.

"At the very least we only go back down to Child level." CannonBeemon, now back to FanBeemon said as he adjusted his scarf.

"Personally I would prefer to stay in Adult at least." Cerberumon, now a Labramon, muttered.

"Don't worry I'm sure you'll all be back to normal soon," Velvet said encouragingly, earning a grateful nod from the Digimon.

Summer frowned as she and Renamon walked through the streets of Vale, her hood pulled over her head. The cold fall winds blew through the empty city streets, carrying any pieces of litter they picked up.

"Salem is annoyingly insistent in attacking the city." Summer frowned.

"She must really want to secure herself a path to the Relic in Beacon." Renamon added.

"Well… that's gonna be difficult since the school was made into a bunker for the people of Vale. It's got the best defenses possible, and the Digimon of Junk Town are always ready to defend it, especially Guardromon once he partnered with Bartholomew." Summer said with a chuckle.

Renamon smirked "So many partnerships that pop up from where you least expect them. It's nice honestly."

"Yeah, and at least the kids came up with a better term for our kind as a whole, Digidestined is more fitting for us grown ups than Chosen Children, that's for sure." Summer snorted in amusement.

"To be fair, that term was originally intended for the ones who'd hold the Crest, but it ended up being used for everyone since a better term hadn't been thought up until now," Renamon laughed a bit.

"At any rate, for now all we can do is hold down the fort. Vale still needs time to rebuild, but once we manage that Salem should back off for now, since she'd have lost her chance to secure a path," Summer said.

"Fortunately at this point Grimm are arguably the least of our concerns," Renamon nodded. However, right as she said that, she suddenly tensed, looking around.

"What's wrong?" Summer asked, immediately on guard.

"Something's nearby. I don't know what, but it's definitely a Digimon and definitely dangerous," Renamon said, eyes narrowing.

Summer frowned at that, before she pulled out her D-Ark, her other hand going to her card holder.

Renamon kept looking around, back to back with her partner… before her head snapped down an alley "There!"

Quickly, Summer drew a card depicting Greymon on it, and Renamon threw a large fireball down the alley… only for whatever Digimon had been down it to just jump through the attack, and finally reveal itself to them.

The moment they did, their eyes widened in shock. "It can't be!" Renamon gasped.

"And yet somehow it is," Summer frowned as before the two of them stood something that should be gone, a Diablomon. "Did the kids miss one?"

"If they did then I think we should finish what they started," Renamon frowned. "Perhaps now would finally be a good time to make use of our new weapon."

"I agree. Let's show them our full power," Summer said as she drew out her Blue Card, which turned a bright Red as she brought it up.

(Play 'Slash')

The Red Card spun in the air for a moment, before Summer caught it, and soon brought it to her D-Ark, before she scanned it. "Card Slash!" she called out as the card started to glow brightly, while the image on the screen showed the Card opening and releasing a flood of data as the scan was complete. "Biomerge Evolution!"

(Change song to 'One Vision, Sakuyamon version')

"Biomerge Evolution," came the voice from her D-Ark as it glowed brightly, Summer holding it to her chest as her body took on a Silver color and floated towards Renamon.

"Renamon, Biomerge Evolution…!" Renamon called out as the two made contact and a flash of light occurred, before suddenly revealing the scene of a moon with the shadows covering it to make a crescent moon, a shadow moving quickly across it, before it was revealed to be a reflection as renamon's feet descended and broke the surface, taking on a new form through the reflection, followed by her arms going through the reflection of cherry blossoms, transforming as well, before her image was reflected on a watery surface that rippled and revealed what appeared to be a woman with long white hair wearing skin tight black armor, before she held out her hand and several colorful orbs emerged and soon enveloped her, forming yellow armor over the first layer of black armor, the scene shifting to show an image of Renamon followed by Kyubimon, then Taomon, before an image of Summer was seen with a small smile as her eyes glowed slightly, followed by the new Digimon removing their hand from their face, revealing a yellow fox mask as they back flipped, the moon in the backdrop and landed once more on the water surface in full view, a staff in hand. "Sakuyamon!" she declared as the evolution was complete.

Digimon Analyzer: Sakuyamon

Sakuyamon. Data Type. An Ultimate Level God Man Digimon. A Digimon that holds the role of a priestess, acting in the Great Server's will within the tales of the ancient Digital World. She carries four pipes on her belts, which each contain a single kuda-gitsune that act only at her command. Her special attacks are Izuna, sending her four kuda-gitsune to attack, each wielding one of the four elements of water, fire, wind and thunder, and Kongoukai Mandala, striking the ground with her shakujo to spread a purifying barrier that repels evil.

Diablomon tried to lunge for them, but was stopped short when a barrier appeared in his face, and he slammed into it face first. The effect was like a shock, knocking him back, but he soon was up again, ready for more.

"Stubborn aren't you?" Sakuyamon chuckled slightly as Diablomon tried to strike her again, but she easily evaded the attacks, barely breaking a sweat.

"Is it just me, or does this Diablomon seem...dumber than the one that caused so much trouble?" Summer mused inside of Sakuyamon.

"Not just you. There is no way something like this could have given the Children trouble," Renamon agreed.

"Well then, let's deal with it quickly," Summer nodded, as both of them focused, having Sakuyamon evade and weave through the attacks, before slamming their staff into Diablomon's chest, pushing him back.

"Izuna!" Sakuyamon declared, sending her pipe foxes flying towards Diablomon, but she wasn't done. "Kongoukai Mandala!" she added, only this time the barrier appeared around Diablomon...right as the pipe foxes entered the barrier, impacting Diablomon, before rebounding off the barrier and well...Diablomon was soon the target of a very PAINFUL game of pinball, ending with the foxes doing one last rebound and blew a hole through his chest, deleting him instantly. "And that's that," Sakuyamon said as she soon reverted back to Summer...who was holding what could only be called a yellow puffball with four short stubby legs and a fox tail and ears.

"This...is going to need some getting used to," Viximon, the Baby form of Renamon, said with a sigh.

"Just be glad that this is something that we can work around in time," Summer chuckled slightly.

"Fair point," Viximon agreed. "Still though...how and why did Diablomon return?" she frowned.

"Something we will certainly get to the bottom of in time," Summer agreed as the two continued on their way, neither of them noticing the data fragments that seemed to be gathering for a moment.

"You encountered Diablomon?!" Azure gasped in alarm after Summer recounted what happened.

"We did yes," Renamon said, having quickly returned to her usual form. "However, this one seems much less...intelligent...than the one that the Chosen Children fought before. Not that it really matters since we deleted it quickly enough."

Azure let out a sigh of relief at that "Well, I guess it's a good thing it went down easy. Wouldn't want it to start replicating like the original did."

Summer shivered in fear at that "Vale overrun by Diablomon… yeah, we wouldn't survive that."

"Grimm we can handle. An endlessly replicating army of Ultimates...we're toast...as is all of Remnant…" Renamon gulped thickly, her fur actually going a bit paler at the thought.

"Let's just hope it was a one time deal and not the prelude to something else," Ilia sighed. "Speaking of which, what are you working on?" she asked Azure who was working on something on his Scroll.

"Just something I've had in the works for a while now," Azure shrugged, holding up his Scroll so they could see. "Say hello to Grani," he said. "It's supposed to be a Support Vehicle that I'm planning to give to Gyro and the others, basically it's supposed to be a 'steed' for Ultimates who can't actually fly in the event they ever need to go through a battle that requires being in the air. Not much I know, but I think we can all agree aerial superiority can make or break some battles," he explained.

"Grani is just about done, but there are a few finishing touches that need to be taken care of first," Wizardmon added.

"Like what?" Kotemon asked.

"Well, for starters I need to upgrade the rider registration system. It only locks onto a single person at this point and won't accept anybody else after." Azure explained with a frown. "Whenever I DO try to fix it though… an even BIGGER issue pops up somewhere in the programs, and the only way to patch it is to put Grani back into single rider mode."

"Wow...talk about a major programming issue," Summer blinked. "I'm assuming making more isn't going to work?"

"No it isn't. The data I used which I got from connecting to the Digital World here and there, can't be replicated for some reason, so yeah, Grani is for better or worse, one of a kind," Azure nodded. "So either I'll have to keep working on it till I get the program right, or Grani is going to be for someone's exclusive use...preferably not someone who'd abuse it."

However, before any further conversation could happen, they got a call from team CFVY. "Something wrong everyone?" Azure asked, picking up the call.

"Something DEFINITELY wrong. Several electronic stores that sell Scrolls down on 11th Avenue are going haywire if the fact we can see LIGHTNING coming out of the shops is any sign," Coco said urgently. "We're standing by in case something happens, but I think this might be your area of expertise."

"Right, just keep us posted on the situation. We'll be there soon," Azure nodded as the call was ended. "You all heard her, let's go."

"Right," the other nodded as they got their weapons and soon made their way into Vale.

Coco and the rest of her team stood near the corner of the street, watching as electricity kept flying out of the windows, actually cracking them sometimes, and she could almost feel a wind blowing through the street.

"They better get here quick." she muttered, adjusting her scarf.

Yatsu kept an eye out on the sky, before he patted Fox's shoulder, and the blind boy telepathed to the rest of his team 'They're arriving. They took a VTOL if the sound is right.'

Coco nodded, turning to the source of the sound right as the VTOL landed, with Summer, Azure and Ilia stepping out with their partners.

"How is the situation?" Azure asked.

"It's been getting worse," Yatsu frowned. "But other than acting up...so far nothing. Still...you can see why we're worried."

"I definitely can yes," Azure nodded...right as some more lightning shot out. "...Wizardmon, got any lightning rod spells or something?"

"I can make a simple barrier to ward off the electricity yes," Wizardmon nodded, casting said spell to make a barrier around him and Azure. However, right as they were going to try and take a closer look, the electric storm got worse, to the point it reached a critical point and...everything exploded.

"That...escalated quickly," Velvet blinked, as Azure and Wizardmon were blown back, the explosion thankfully happening BEFORE they could get too close.

"I...don't think it's escalated enough yet," Ilia gulped as through the smoke, portals opened...and from them a swarm of Diablomon burst through into Vale.

"...Isn't that the thing that Gyro and Pyrrha had trouble fighting until their partners fused into a giant knight?" Coco asked slowly.

"Yes… yes it is." Summer said, before quickly scanning her red card, merging with Renamon back into Sakuyamon.

"The good news is, they're not NEARLY as many as what Omegamon defeated. The bad news...it's still a hell of a large amount," Azure gulped as using his scroll he could estimate there were 'only' about 50 of them.

"50 Ultimates." Kotemon whimpered a bit as she clung to Ilia's leg.

"I'll try my best to handle them." Sakuyamon said, though it was clear she was worried.

Right after that though, another explosion of light came from one of the stores, and the group was worried about a BIG one showing up… only for relief to flood them once they saw a familiar red cape.

"Finally! I've been chasing them all day!" Dukemon said in exasperation.

Ilia just stared at the knight for a long moment "Takato… how the heck?"

"I don't know, ok? Guilmon just keeps sniffing out danger and dragging me along." the boy's voice spoke from inside Dukemon.

"Well, it sure helps us out," Wizardmon said. "Let's focus on these things first before anything else."

"No arguments here," Dukemon said, readying his weapons.

"Let's go all out now!" Azure said, as everyone present quickly scanned their Blue Cards, their Digimon going straight to Perfect level.

"Take them out as fast as you can!" Sakuyamon said as she trapped several Diablomon inside a barrier and well...squeezed.

"Don't have to tell us twice!" Coco said as she and CannonBeemon opened fire on as many of the Diablomon as they could, even if their attacks weren't doing as much damage as they'd like.

At the same time their teammates were doing what they could to whittle down the Diablomon around but as it was, the ones who were mainly doing the damage were Sakuyamon and Dukemon, being at the same level as the swarm. Even then, it was a large number of them against only 2 Ultimates. So like it or not...they were at a major disadvantage.

"This isn't looking too good," Ilia frowned, as while they were doing their best, slowly but surely the Diablomon were pushing them back.

"We don't have a choice!" Dukemons aid as a Diablomon was destroyed by his Final Elysion. "We have to stop them here!"

"Even if it's just one at a time, focus on deleting as many as you can!" Sakuyamon added as her Izuna blew a hole through another Diablomon.

"Is it just me or are these things getting...coordinated?" Onimon asked after several minutes of fighting.

"...I'm afraid it might not be just you," Yatsu gulped as true enough, the swarm WAS becoming more coordinated. They were attacking in tandem, not just mindlessly attacking whoever was close...and the bulk of the Diablomon were CLEARLY going after Sakuyamon and Dukemon, while a smaller but still sizable group were going after the Perfect Levels.

"They're becoming smarter as the seconds tick by… what's going on?" Velvet asked in worry.

"If I remember right, the original one grew at an insanely fast rate too," Mystimon frowned. "Perhaps the same is happening for these things…"

"That's terrifying beyond words…" Knightmon gulped. "What CAN we do then?"

"...we keep fighting," Azure said grimly.

"Can't let Vale get overrun with these bastards" Cerberumon growled as he managed to make a few fall into his personal dark area before closing it up.

And then it seemed the universe felt like surprising them more.

"Where…" one of the Diablomon uttered.

"Did… did it just…?" Meicrackmon blinked in surprise, before the rest of the hoard started repeating that same word.

"Where… are… they…?" a Diablomon that Dukemon had pinned to a wall with his shield spoke.

"Who are you talking about?" Dukemon asked with narrowed eyes.

"Where are… the… Chosen… Children…?" another, trapped in Sakuyamon's barrier, answered.

"Wait… he's looking for the kids?" Azure asked in shock.

"What do you want with them?" Sakuyamon asked with a hard frown.

… and all at once, every single Diablomon stilled and became focused, speaking at the same time.

"Revenge."

"...shit. These things aren't just new Diablomon, they're remnants of the one that was defeated!" Azure gasped.

"Well we're not letting you get to them!" Sakuyamon growled. She was not letting her girls get caught by this thing!

"Then...DIE!" the Diablomon roared before they opened fire on the group.

"Take cover!" Fox shouted, as the group did that, Sakuyamon creating a barrier and Dukemon holding up his shield to try and stop as many shots as they could. Despite that, a good chunk of the shots were still getting through, forcing the group to defend as best as they could.

Unfortunately Azure and Ilia were the ones in a...less than defended area, forcing their partners to help protect them, and while they managed to survive the onslaught...they took quite a bit of damage in the process, forcing them to revert.

"Damn it!" Azure growled as he pulled Wizardmon behind him, while Ilia held Kotemon protectively.

"These things just won't stop." the chameleon faunus scowled.

"Resistance… futile… you shall die… the Chosen Children... Shall SUFFER!" one of the Diablomon said.

"Like you're gonna do that!" Azure growled, shooting at one of the Diablomon as he helped Wizardmon up. "They've got enough on their plate as is, and I'll be damned before I let a sore loser like you add to that plate!"

"The Chosen Children have done more than enough for our kind! If stopping you makes their journey even a little easier then we will do everything in our power to stop you!" Wizardmon agreed.

"And do you really think we'll just stand aside and die for you to let you run off after our friends and family like that?" Ilia asked with a deadly glare, one that Kotemon mimicked.

"Yeah! You got another thing coming, you jerks!" she said.

At that moment, there was a bright glow from their card holders as the cases opened by themselves, and their Blue Cards flew out of them as time seemed to freeze around them and their partners. "This is…!" Wizardmon gasped as the Blue Cards stopped before them, a light coming from them and creating an image of Yggdrasil.

"A good resolve," Yggdrasil said with a small nod. "Your desire to protect them is truly admirable, but without your full potential, I am afraid it won't be enough."

"Well if you're here to give us this full potential, then we'll take it." Azure said "I'm not about to let this bastard hurt my little brothers if I have anything to say about it."

"Same here. He's not getting to Blake on my watch." Ilia added with a scowl towards the frozen Diablomon.

Yggdrasil nodded again. "But still I must ask, are you sure you fully understand this path? To walk this path is to walk alongside each other even to the bitter end."

"You say that like we weren't already ready to fight and die together," Wizardmon said.

"We won't run. Not when we know there's something we can do," Kotemon agreed.

"What they said," Azure and Ilia said. At that Yggdrasil's image faded away, before the cards flew towards them and made a small gash on their hands which healed quickly enough, the cards gaining some of their blood before they turned fully red.

"Then go forward and claim your full potential. Live and walk alongside your partners forever," Yggdrasil's voice declared as they both grabbed the Red Cards, looked at each other and nodded.

(Play 'Slash')

The Red Cards spun in the air for a moment, before the two caught their respective cards, and soon brought them to her D-Ark, before scanning them. "Card Slash!" they called out as the card started to glow brightly, while the image on the screen showed the Card opening and releasing a flood of data as the scan was complete. "Biomerge Evolution!"

(Change song to 'One Vision, Dukemon Version')

"Biomerge Evolution," came the voice from their D-Arks which glowed brightly as they held them close to them, their bodies gaining the colorations of their respective D-Arks before floating towards their partners.

"Wizardmon, Biomerge Evolution!" Wizardmon called out as he and Azure made contact and overlapped, before a flash of light occurred, revealing a mountain peak which soon burst open as an aura in the shape of a Wyvern emerged and flew down onto Wizardmon, encircling him. The aura covered his limbs which soon changed into something larger and more armored, his body shifted into a larger stronger form, followed by the wyvern roaring as an image of Wizardmon is seen followed by Mystimon, followed by a shot of Azure with a determined smile on his face before the wyvern bites down, solidifying into a helmet of sorts as the new Digimon was formed, his wings outstretched as he soared through the air revealing a white armored humanoid, his armor bearing lavender highlights and golden edges, with large dragonic wings on his back and the white armored head of a dragon as he let out a roar, the gems in the palm of his hands shining "Dynasmon!"

"Kotemon, Biomerge Evolution!" Kotemon called out as she and Ilia made contact and overlapped. A light flashed before the scene showed a jungle as something was running through it revealing to be an aura shaped like a leopard, before it leaped forward, right into Kotemon who was free falling through the scene, her limbs covered in the energy and becoming longer and larger, with her body taking on the appearance of a armor that was designed almost like formal wear, before the focus was on Kotemon, before her faceguard burst open to reveal Gladimon who in turn burst open to reveal Knightmon, followed by one last burst to reveal Ilia's smiling face as the scene shifted out to reveal her image reflected in the eye of the new Digimon as they soared through the air and came to a stop upon a cliff revealing a brown and white armored knight, with a thin body that had a light feminine figure, a long red sash attached to her waist and trailing back, white wings coming out of her shoulders, a long rapier in her hand, a brown helmet that had feline ears on the top and a pair of red eyes below them, though below the top jaw was a blue iron mask that hide her real face, her eyes visible through them, as long blonde hair trailed behind her, though it curved slightly at the end, almost like a chameleon tail "Duftmon!"

The Diablomon swarm was forced to cover their eyes from the bright light that suddenly appeared, and when it subsided, two blurs tore through their ranks, deleting several as the two new Ultimates were revealed for all to see. "You two picked a perfect time to reach Ultimate," Sakuyamon couldn't help but chuckle.

Digimon Analyzer: Dynasmon

Dynasmon. Data Type. An Ultimate Level Holy Knight Digimon. One of thirteen Royal Knights said to uphold order in the Digital World, Dynasmon holds the powers of the legendary Wyvern. Despite appearing as a beast, Dynasmon is noted to be chivalrous, and honors devotion, fidelity and courtesy. His special attacks are Breath of Wyvern, releasing the energy within his body into the form of a large, draconic aura to attack the enemy, and Dragon's Roar, firing energy blasts of all 10 elements from the gems in his hands.

Digimon Analyzer: Duftmon

Duftmon. Data Type. An Ultimate Level Holy Knight Digimon. One of thirteen Royal Knights said to uphold order in the Digital World, and their best strategist, capable of always finding a path to victory. A Knight who strives to fight with grace and precision, she is the most calm and collected member of the Royal Knights, never letting her emotions get the best of her. Her special attacks are Aussterben, her rapier becoming alight with energy before sending out a blade towards the enemy, and Ernste Welle, stabbing her sword into the ground to cause an explosion of energy beneath her foes.

"This...changes...nothing!" the Diablomon said, charging forward...only for the ones who were closest to them to promptly get deleted.

"On the contrary, this changes everything," Dynasmon said, claws glowing with power.

"Your revenge ends before it even begins! Aussterben!" Duftmon said, sending the shockwave of energy which cleaved through several of the Diablomon, deleting them.

"Don't let them have all the fun. Return fire!" Coco ordered, as she and her team opened fire, dividing the Diablomons' attentions...to which the Ultimates took full advantage of.

"Final Elysion!"

"Breath of Wyvern!"

The two attacks tore through the ranks of the Diablomon, destroying several more of them, and effectively cutting their forces in half by now. The Diablomons didn't sit still though and tried to fight back, but right before some of them fired, they were encased in a barrier...which ended in their own destruction when their shots rebounded off the barrier and destroyed themselves.

The Diablomon were soon wising up that clustering together wasn't working so they spread out, and started peppering the area with shots, causing damage to the city...and forcing the Ultimates to intercept and try to minimize the damage. Seeing that this could work, the Diablomon began keeping their distance while firing more or less wildly to try and keep the Ultimates from going after them.

"Tch! Dirty little...jerks...aren't they?" Dynasmon said, having caught himself a bit. He had to remind himself that there was a kid with them so easy on the language.

"We need to stop them from moving, but how?" Dukemon frowned.

"They know to focus their shots on us too," Duftmon frowned, seeing as whenever she or Dynasmon tried going after them, they'd get peppered by shots, these things apparently figuring out suppression fire.

"We need something that can hit fast while attacking at the same time," Dynasmon frowned.

"Got any suggestions then?" Sakuyamon asked.

Dynasmon hummed in thought, before snapping his fingers "I think I have one yes. Grani can fly at sonic speeds. With someone riding it, they would be fast enough to run circles around them."

"That works… how are you gonna fetch it though? Isn't it just data at the moment?" Duftmon asked, making Dynasmon pause.

He just stayed still like that for several moments, before slumping forward "I got nothing…"

The others groaned at that… before the electrical disturbances caused by the Diablomon acted up further, and an errant spark lashed out at Dynasmon, who barely felt a tingle… before he realised something was glowing inside his armor "Huh?" he said, carefully pulling out whatever was glowing, to reveal his Scroll "... please let this be good." he muttered, angling it away from him, before tapping the screen hesitantly.

The moment he did, a portal all but burst out of his Scroll, and a form started to materialize before emerging into the real world...going so fast that it shot at the Diablomons, and knocked several back before flying a couple of circles around them before finally stopping so everyone could see what it was.

It's shape was roughly like a pterodactyl, covered in pure white armor with light blue highlights, with glowing blue eyes.

"Looks like Grani is working properly," Dynasmon nodded. "Now to register it to a rider…" he started, as he came closer, but Grani suddenly flew away from him, before flying around the four Ultimates...and stopping in front of Dukemon.

"Huh?" Dukemon blinked, as Grani's eyes seemed to flash for a bit. "You want me to be your Rider?" he asked, and Grani seemed to nod, before its eyes glowed and projected what appeared to be an interface with what looked like a palm scanner of all things on it.

"This...wasn't part of the program," Dynasmon blinked in surprise.

"Well if it wants him to be its rider, I don't think we have any room to complain," Duftmon said, right as Dukemon placed his hand against the scanner, and the interface scanned him, registering him to Grani, who glowed and suddenly turned from pure white into a predominantly red coloration with bits of gold mixed into the armor, though the eyes remained the same.

With the registration done, Grani's eyes flashed again, Dukemon nodding and was soon riding on Grani's back, his feet securing onto it, before they were soon moving at high speeds towards the Diablomon who were trying to stop them, but Grani's speed was too much for them as none of the shots hit. At the same time, Dukemon took full advantage of their current position. "Royal Saber!" he called out, Gram igniting as they slammed into the Diablomons like a comet, destroying several of them on contact, and slowly but surely boxing them all in.

By now the Diablomon were soon losing some of the confidence they had before, as between the four Ultimates, all of which were very powerful in their own right, they were the ones being beaten back. "You...will not...stop us…!"

"Tough luck. We're stopping you right here, right now," Dynasmon declared.

"Give the word and let's end this," Dukemon said as he and Grani regrouped with the others.

"It's time for all of you to go back to where you came from!" Duftmon said as they all charged their attacks.

"Dragon's Roar!"

"Aussterben!"

"Final Elysion!"

"Izuna!"

The Diablomon tried to counter with their attacks, but the combined attacks broke right through and smashed right into them, followed by more attacks just for good measure, and before long they were deleted one by one, with the last one seeming like it was trying to push through the attacks. "Not...again…!" he roared before he was soon overtaken and destroyed.

(Song end)

"Is that all of them?" Velvet asked once the lights from the attacks finally died down.

"I sure hope it is," Onimon sighed. "And I thought fighting Piedmon's army was scary…"

"To be fair, that time the only Ultimate was Piedmon himself and the Chosen Children were the ones fighting him," Meicrackmon sighed.

"Well to answer your questions, yes that's all of them as far as we can tell," Sakuyamon said.

"But just to be safe I'll be sure to run some extra checks on the network," Dynasmon added...right before all the Ultimates glowed and soon reverted back to normal...with their partners all one level lower than normal.

"...still annoying," Viximon sighed, referring to that side effect of going into a form they're not quite used to yet.

"Well, it could be worse." Candmon said with a snicker as he sat on Azure's shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up." Kotemon's Baby form, Capurimon, said with a roll of her eyes.

"I'm just glad we beat them," Gigimon sighed tiredly.

"Though...how are we supposed to get home?" Takato asked, seeing as the portal they came from closed. As if in response, he and Gigimon were suddenly lifted up and ended up on Grani's back...before it soon zoomed off, taking them with it.

"Hey wait!" Azure gasped, but too late.

"...they're...gonna be okay, right?" Ilia couldn't help but ask, as Azure took out his scroll and started up a program.

"...I think they should be okay. If I'm reading this right, Grani is headed for Vacuo," Azure sighed. "This...REALLY wasn't in its programming."

"Guess it must have grown while you were developing it," Summer chuckled slightly.

"Either way it really helped us out," Yatsu sighed. "So I'd call it a success."

"I guess…" Azure sighed.

"For now we should all go back. I think we all earned a break," Candmon chuckled. "Just hope Lisa doesn't see the footage right before we Biomerged."

Azure blinked...then groaned. "She's gonna chew me out for attacking an Ultimate, isn't she?"

"Pretty much yeah," Candmon said, earning a few chuckles of amusement from the gathered group.

And NONE of you saw this coming!

Yeahp, Wizardmon's Ultimate is Dynasmon, while Kotemon's is Duftmon.

Two more Royal Knights have appeared in the cast now, with still quite a few to go.

And, of course, Renamon hit Ultimate, and we had the temporary return of Diablomon.

Persistent, isn't he?

But he's gone for good now, I swear.

Also, Takato has now obtained Grani.

Yeah, we've been planning this for a bit on HOW to give it to him, but then we got the idea to have him appear in this chapter, and then to bring Grani in, and that worked out well.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed, because...
