"The CCPD there they got a 911 call about a hostage situation, but when the SWAT team got there, there were no hostages. It was a trap. Zoom set a trap in order to show the police that they could not stop him. And he killed fourteen officers. Men and women. Slaughtered them. Left one alive to tell what happened."

Harrison Wells

Murder by Numbers

Fifteen stooges,

Thought they'd hunt him down,

Could take them with a single sweep,

But first he'd play around.

Took half of them out instantly,

So now there was but eight.

The policemen opened fire,

But it already was too late.

One of them his neck he broke,

Left the world for Hell or Heaven.

Wove in and out of gunshots,

Fired now in bursts of seven.

Two more he took out with lightning,

As he ducked and weaved.

Looked at their faces through his mask,

Could tell they were aggrieved.

The policemen, they now looked to flee,

This mangy group of five.

Decided that for three seconds,

He'd leave them all alive.

Those seconds, they soon expired,

Dashed forward with a zoom.

And in a fraction of that time,

Four blueshirts met their doom.

So that left just one officer,

Tried to scramble clear.

Could see the terror in his eyes,

Could smell the stench of fear.

He decided to let the fish go,

The best kills were made to last.

It was true today as it ever was,

As it had been in the past.

So with a hiss he did speed off,

He'd had enough of this dull lark.

But soon enough, this world would know,

None could outrun the dark.
