The screen flickers for a bit before the author reappears, looking a little morose.

*Hey guys Hakuorofan7 here and welcome to another chapter of From No One to Someone.*

*I'll keep this short, I had to cut out a few things that I promised as several days ago I was hit with some heavy news. So in order to make sure this comes out before July I had to cut out something I promised.*

*Thankfully it wasn't anything important, bit I will have to save it for another chapter.*

*Anyway this chapter will cover the ball and Vanitas beginning his next move, so I hope you all enjoy this chapter.*

*Now before we move on, I do not own Kingdom Hearts.*

*So just sit back, relax, maybe put some music on, and enjoy.*

The author snapped his fingers and the screen flickered for a bit as the chapter began.

Stroke of Midnight

"So you are telling me that the Unversed are being controlled by a rouge Keyblade wielder named Vanitas who is the same one who dragged Roxas away?" Aqua asked, getting both Keyblade wielders to nod.

"And that you nearly took the advice of an evil queen to rip out a heart of pure light for information on Master Xehanort until you came to your senses." Aqua said flatly, getting Terra to sigh.

"I will admit that, it was foolish of me and Roxas had already made it clear on that." Terra said, getting Aqua to sigh.

"I figured those dwarves were stubborn when I tried to defend you and apparently they did the same with Ven. You are lucky that you didn't go through with it. The queen was dealt with while I was on that world and Snow White has nothing to worry about anymore. But Terra please be careful on the next world, I can sense that your heart is still in an imbalance bit it is much better then we last saw each other. Just another incident like this one and I am afraid what will happen." Aqua said worriedly, getting Terra to nod in agreement before hugging her.

"It's alright Aqua, I am trying to be careful by making sure I do not make the same mistake again. I managed not to make a mistake with Cinderella, and the next time I encounter another heart of pure light I will hopefully not make the same mistake again." Terra said, getting Aqua to nod as they separated from their hug with a smile.

"I believe that you will Terra, but that will not stop me from worrying." Aqua said, getting Terra to sigh.

He knew she was going to say that.

"As for you Roxas, you had stolen some scrolls from your former master and never told us, why?" Aqua asked the Nobody.

"I wasn't ready for them and despite getting to know you guys this is still all new to me. That and we had more pressing issues with the Unversed." Roxas said, getting Aqua to nod as the reason s were fair enough before balling her fists in anger at the thought of Roxas's former master.

Her thoughts were mirroring the same ones Terra had once he learned about Roxas remembering his friend Xion.

While Aqua was happy for Roxas to be remembering his friend Xion, she was also glad Xemnas was dead.

She would have eradicated him herself for having such a heart so vile in order to erase and manipulate her friends memories.

"Aqua if you are thinking about Xemnas I do not blame you for being angry, but you might want to clam yourself down. Your starting to emit light." Terra said as Roxas looked in wonder as Aqua snapped out of her thoughts and noticing that she was covered in a glittering, searing light.

Aqua took a deep breath to calm herself and the light faded from around her.

"Sorry about that." Aqua said continuing to calm herself.

That had never happened before. She had seen if happen to Master Eraqus a few times, but this was her first time experiencing it.

"Now finally Roxas, Terra said you were capable of using a Keyforge and sensing Zohar Steel. All without ever having done do before?" Aqua said with a hint of disbelief.

She could believe him using a Keyforge, but detecting Zohar Steel or creating a Keyblade without flaw on the first try. That was less believable.

"You mean like the one in your bag, one right next to something metallic?" Roxas said surprising Aqua as she looked into her bag and found that he was right.

"I guess you can sense them." Aqua sighed out. "So that means what Terra said about your Keyblade is true. May I see it this Destiny Rewritten Roxas?"

"Sure." Roxas said, seeing no problem with it. He summoned the Keyblade and handed it to her.

Aqua examined the Keyblade for a few moments before taking a few practice swings before summoning the barrier.

"No flaws, though it is a little heavy for me. I have never seen a Keyblade do something like that before, but if this is off any indication then there could be more in the future. " Aqua said as she continued to examine it for a few more moments before handing it to Roxas who shrugged his shoulders.

"So we are going to do the same thing before we left the Land of Departure?" Roxas asked, getting Terra and Aqua to nod.

"Of course, but Aqua I have to ask that you at least stay here at this world until this morning, hopefully I am wrong but considering how many Unversed including the Symphony Master came after Cinderella it might be best to keep eye out for her for a while. Also with how dark Lady Tremaine's heart is it might be for the best." Terra said, getting both him and Aqua to shiver.

He had only encountered her once and she could sense her heart from outside the ballroom, but both had never encountered so much darkness within a human heart before.

It was a little unnerving to say the least.

"It was our mission in the first place, but I will make sure to do so." Aqua said before giving Terra a flat look. "After I train him a bit. But did you have to teach him Firaza?"

"It was mentioned in the scroll that he was ready to learn it and he has a surprisingly good grasp on it already." Terra said, getting Roxas to look at him flatly as well.

"That might be true, but one use and I am nearly out of magic and I still have some problems controlling it as well." Roxas said, getting Aqua to sigh.

"We will work on that once we find an area where you can not set everything on fire Roxas, otherwise Terra was right to teach you it. As much as I believe that you could have waited a bit to learn it." Aqua sighed out, mentally making a note to find a Moggle on this world to stock up on some more supplies just in case.

Terra let out a sigh of relief after he heard that that.

"Other then that you have been an excellent job at training Roxas with what time you had." Aqua said with a smile before her expression turned serious. "Now with Ven you said that Cinderella saw him earlier today and must have left a few hours ago. Meaning that we are close to him. And considering that he has been on both Dwarf Woodlands and Castle of Dreams there is only one other world that he could be on right now."

"Enchanted Domain, it is the last world of this cluster. If he isn't there he could be anywhere else in the worlds. I will head there after midnight and hopefully find Ven there." Terra sighed out getting Aqua to nod.

"And if you do, keep him with you at all costs until either of us can find Master. He might have survived two worlds so far on his own, but I am not sure how much longer he could last with Unversed as powerful as the one you two faced out there." Aqua said seriously.

"Until then how about we just enjoy the ball, there is only an hour left for us." Terra said, getting the other Keyblade wielders to nod at that.

Before an idea came to him.

A wonderful idea that would confirm or break his suspicions about Roxas.

"Speaking of which, Aqua how about you teach Roxas how to waltz? You are the better on of us at hit and Roxas has never learned to dance before so I figured that you should be the one to do so." Terra said with a smile.

"Are you sure?" Aqua asked, getting Terra to nod.

"Positive." Terra said.

"If you believe so." Aqua said with a shrug.

Both here and Terra had been drilled by Eraqus in order to get the waltz down to an art in order to incorporate into fighting with a Keyblade.

Aqua believed that they were both as equally skilled in the area, but if Terra believed she was the better suited to teach Roxas who was she to argue.

The only grievance the new Keyblade Master had was that he was not as bad as Ven was when he started to learn.

Her feet were sore for days afterwards.

With that in mind Aqua grabbed Roxas and proceeded to drag him into the ballroom.

"Aqua I do not think this is a good idea." Roxas said as as he tried to resist, but Aqua proved to be too strong.

"You have nothing to worry about Roxas, you will be able to get it done in no time." Aqua said with her mind set and walking through the doors to the ballroom.

Terra chuckled as he watched the two of them before following to see the results.

And hoping they had some more of those crab legs left.

Aqua's fears were unfounded.

Roxas wasn't like Ven at all.

Granted he was still bad at it for his first time, but he had never stepped on her feet even once and he was actually kept up with her movements.

Once they had gotten to the ballroom Aqua had done the same thing their Master had done and had both Terra and herself waltz with him in order to gauge what they needed to work on first.

So for the past 10 minutes she had been doing so with Roxas, not saying a single thing no matter what questions he asked in order to gauge how well before correcting him.

He was horrid in the beginning, but as the longer the waltz continued he was improving as time went all. Granted he was still having trouble, but it was to be expected.

So while she was silently judging Roxas, she was also keeping an eye on the biggest threat in this world besides the Unversed.

Lady Tremaine.

How such a person hadn't succumbed to the darkness in their heart the Keyblade Master didn't know.

But what she did know was that when she got the chance, it would be for the best to cleanse her darkness from this world.

It would be the best for everyone in this world if she did so. Before such a horrid woman could get any kind of control of Unversed it would be a disaster.

"Aqua are you alright?" Roxas asked breaking Aqua out of her musings.

It had been long enough.

"I'm fine, but you still need to work on your form. You are doing alright for your first time and have improved greatly since we started, but your form could still use work. So now it is time to correct that." Aqua said, getting Roxas to nod.

Honestly the Nobody was trying to copy how others were doing it, which was a little difficult since most of the people who they waltz besides chose to stare at the two for various reasons.

Roxas figured the main reasons were either for him, his bad form, or for Aqua.

"Now Roxas there is one thing you should know about waltzing." Aqua said.

"And that is?" He asked.

"Keep your eyes on me." Aqua said before giving guiding his arms into the correct positioning.

"I saw that you kept looking out of the corners of your eyes. That is a given, but if you wish to learn to waltz make sure to keep your eyes on me and only on me until it ends." Aqua said, getting Roxas to nod.

"I will." Roxas said, getting Aqua to nod before making sure Roxas was in proper form.

"Then follow my lead, when I move with my left foot you move with your right. Wherever I move you will follow. And all of this is done in intervals of three, got it?" Aqua asked getting Roxas to nod. "Alright then let's just cover the basics and start with the box step."

Aqua began with the box step, making sure to correct his steps every now and then but that was to be expected.

But a few minutes he had got it down and was now moving in sync to Aqua's movements.

"You have gotten the box step new, so learning the rest of the steps should come easily." Aqua said, getting Roxas to nod while looking relieved. "You okay Roxas?"

"I'm fine, this is going better then I thought I would." Roxas said as he and Aqua continued to waltz, with him incorporating progressive into box step as she was showing him.

"And how did you think it would go?" Aqua asked.

Roxas was in thought for a second as he mastered progressive before Aqua began to guide him into closed twinkle.

"Honestly I was worried that I had a feeling I was going to step all over on someone's feet." Roxas said, getting Aqua to shiver for a bit.

"Thankfully your are the complete opposite of Ven when he first learned. Everyone's feet was sore for days afterwards." Aqua said with a wince.

"That bad?" Roxas asked a little surprised, getting Aqua to nod.

"You would think that someone who is quick on their feet would have better coordination. But Ven proved everyone wrong that day." She sighed out.

With that they began again. First box step, the progressive, and finally closed twinkle. Rinse and repeat.

They continued like this for a few minutes as the moves began to blend together seamlessly and Roxas and Aqua moved in sync.

While this was going Roxas noticed that strangely, he actually kind of enjoyed this.

Just moving to a rythum with someone you could trust, not caring about what would happen except for just moving in sync. Add in the setting and the choice of music it was actually kind of nice.

No wonder Cinderella wanted to come here, besides from having a chance to be free for a night.

It was actually kind of fun.

Until he messed up a turn and accidentally cashed both him of them to trip.

Aqua managed to stop herself from fall and immediately got back to her feet before catching Roxas midfall.

"You alright Roxas?" Aqua asked as she set the Nobody back up onto his feet.

"I'm fine, sorry about that Aqua." Roxas said.

"It was an just an accident. You were doing so well until then." Aqua sighed out.

"Agreed, and I was just enjoying myself. What about you?" Roxas asked, getting Aqua to nod and sigh

"The same here. It seems like it has been so long since I was able to when it was days ago." Aqua sighed out mournfully. "Between the Mark of Mastery, the Unversed, your abduction, and Ven running away I never had a chance to do so."

Roxas sighed out as he put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"I know the feeling, haven't really had anytime to do the same thing since I left Xemnas until I ended up with you guys before everything else happened." Roxas sighed out, getting Aqua to nod before smiling.

"I guess then this will be the last time we could truly enjoy ourselves for awhile. So how about we start over and waltz until the stroke of midnight." Aqua said with a smile as she outstretched one of her hands.

Roxas smiled as he took her hand and the two of them got back into position.

"Hopefully I don't mess up this time." Roxas said, getting Aqua to shake her head as they started to waltz once again.

"Don't worry, you will be just fine Roxas." Aqua said with a reassuring smile. "Now remember, keep your eyes on me and everything will be alright."

"I honestly didn't think they could go together that." Terra said as he watched from the other end of the ballroom, which was covered by a curtain.

The prince and Cinderella had left through there to the castle's gardens to dance. The curtain being closed by himself as Lady Tremaine tried to follow them, most likely to try and learn of her identity.

There was no way that was going to happen.

Lady Tremaine tried to express her content with a cold, murderous glance that would have sent a chill on many a man's spine.

But Terra had seen scarier expressions on the rare chance Master truly got furious.

A state down with an indifferent glare sent her off without any change of her demeanor and she seemed not to be coming to intrude upon them for now.

Much to the relief of both himself and the Grand Duke, who thanked him for preventing her from preventing Lady Tremaine from passing.

Considering his orders from the king and the unconfirmed rumors surrounding her, I would be bad if she got to the mystery woman.

With Terra agreeing, but believe a good portions of these supposed rumors would actually be true.

Still he was not going to have her or anyone else ruin what was left of Cinderella's time to enjoy her dream.

If he was correct she didn't have very long left.

Soon it will all end for her, as well for Roxas and Aqua who were still waltzing.

They had been going at it for quite some time.

It was going better then he expected to be honest, and he had set this up just to see what would happen after he learned Roxas had gotten a red tulip.

After all one of the reasons he figured Roxas would have gotten the flower was because he was planning on giving it to Aqua.

Or a hidden hobby he didn't want anyone to find out like flower pressing.

But this confirmed the former, but he was surprised to see how much the two were enjoying this and Roxas learning how to waltz.

Minus that one trip up earlier.

A moment later the sound of a clock's bell going off, signaling that it was midnight.

"I probably should have gotten Cinderella by now." Terra said as he pulled back to curtain in order to make sure that she was alright.

Terra figured that part of the reasons was that this was their first chance to truly relax in a while, but he believe d that there might have been something else going on.

Still he would not interfere, at least not yet and just see how far this goes first.

He was broken from his thought by the sound of a bell ringing in the distance.

It was midnight already.

Terra opened the curtain to get to Cinderella, but she rushed up and hugged him to his surprise.

"Thank you for everything Terra." She said before breaking the hug and running off, ducking through the crowd on the way out before the spell wore off.

Terra soon rushed after her into the crowd, soon joined by Roxas and Aqua.

"I take it that Cinderella had left just now?" Aqua asked as they ran out of the ballroom.

"She did, I supposed that she could have left earlier. And I probably should have told her when I had the chance...but I guess we all just got caught up in the experience." Terra said, sounding somewhat sheepish at the end. Getting both Aqua and Roxas to nod at that.

The three Keyblade wielders soon caught up to Cinderella at the main stairway where one of her glass slippers slipped off of her feet.

She went back to retrieve it but the Grand Duke was hot on her trail, causing her to leave it behind.

"Mademoiselle!" He cried out as he picked up the slipper as Cinderella ran out the front door. "SeƱorita! Wait just a moment!"

"Do you think Cinderella will make out in time?" Roxas asked as the three of them rushed towards the entrance to see her just enter her coach as it speed off.

"Guards! Guard! Stop her, close the gates!" The Grand Duke shouted out, the guards at the castle's gatehouse immediately closing it, but Cinderella's coach proved to be too fast as it had already exited by the time the gates had slammed shut behind it

"I believe she will be just fine Roxas." Aqua said as the Grand Duke ordered guards on horseback to chase after her as the gates opened back up.

However all three of them knew they wouldn't catch up to her as her coach vanished into the horizon.

While all three of them were relieved and happy for Cinderella, Terra had the biggest smile of them all.

This time, he did not mess up.

He had kept his promise to Cinderella and besides the Unversed attack was sure this was the happiest night of her life as her dream come true.

Just to see it come true after the condition he found her in now, it was truly something to behold

And he hoped that things would change for the better for Cinderella soon.

Terra was broken from this feeling when he sensed something for a split second, only to notice nothing behind him.

The older Keyblade wielder shrugged it off before going back to watching the guard fruitlessly chase down Cinderella.

Unaware that behind a nearby column, a Corridor of Darkness had closed itself and vanished into nothing.

Cinderella and her friends had hidden themselves in the underbrush as the guards started to close in one them.

Just a minute ago on the last Bell's toll, the spell had worn off and everything had returned to normal.

Soon afterwards they hid themselves in underbrush at the sounds of hooves trampling against the ground came closer and closer. Despite the distance they put between the guards and themselves, they were quickly closing up, too them. So Cinderella and her friends had to make sure they were well hidden and had to leave the pumpkin behind, much to her dismay.

Cinderella had been hoping to have bring it home with them as it was once such a beautiful coach and a cornerstone of her dream come true.

But now though, that would never happen as she saw the first guard come into view.

He rode past them followed by another, and another soon after. Each rode with a sense of ferocity and purpose in order to complete their task and bring Cinderella back to the castle.

By the time the fifth guard rode by, he had smashed the pumpkin into pieces much to her horror. With the guards following after him doing the same and continuing to smash it into the dirt.

By the time over a dozen guards had passed and no more filled them, Cinderella and her friends remained hidden for a few more minutes. Just in case anymore guards came after the others.

As soon as she was sure no one else was coming, she came out of the underbrush along with her friends.

"I'm sorry everyone, I forgot about everything. Even the time, but it was so wonderful." Cinderella said dreamily, getting her friends to smile for her as she remeniced about the ball and her dance partner during the ball.

"He was so handsome and when we danced..." Cinderella sighed out happily. "Oh I am sure that the prince himself couldn't have been more, more..."

While Cinderella trailed off, unaware too herself her dress started to glow with sparkles around some of the areas that were torn up to the shock of her friends.

"Oh well it's over and-" Cinderella said, but was cut off by one of her friends, Jaq.

"Cinderelly! Look! Look! Your dress and slipper!" Jaq cried out, getting Cinderella to look down and gasp at what she saw.

Most of the areas that were torn by her stepsisters mended themselves up with lose thread before the sparkles lifted themselves off of her dress before gathering together into an envelope that landed at her feet.

"Incredible." Cinderella said in wonder as she took off her remaining slipper and picked up the envelope.

She opened it up to reveal that it was empty, until it floated from her hands and unfolded into a piece of paper.

"Dear Cinderella." The letter read out to Cinderella in Fairy Godmother's voice. "I hoped that you enjoyed the ball my dear. If you are reading this then it is past midnight and the spell had end. But it doesn't mean that I can not leave you empty handed. The glass slippers are a gift from me, please be careful with them my dear. As for your dress, the dreams of your mother and father still linger on in it long after they have left this world. I used them to mend the dress as best I could, enough that if your horrid stepmother and stepsisters find out you could say that you spent all night fixing it. The rest I leave up to you my dear to finish. Now remember, never stop believing in your dreams Cinderella and they will come true like they did tonight. Sincerely, your Fairy Godmother."

With that the letter dissipated into sparkles, getting Cinderella to start to cry tears of joy as she sunk to her knees, clutching the glass slipper to her chest.

"Thank you, thank you all for everything." Cinderella said as she looked heavenwards and smiling, thinking about everything that her new friends and the Fairy Godmother had done for her.

As she let her tears flow out and her friends went to comfort her, they were unaware that were being watched.

For in the underbrush was a Flood keeping an eye on them, as another pair of them stealthily dug through the trampled ground for chunks of the pumpkin before vanishing into the ground and disappearing.out of sight.

"Well that was a fun ball, though it's time to get back on track." Vanitas said as he changed out of the suit and sat on tree stump in a clearing not far from where Cinderella was.

Currently he was writing in his book, as he had the large insectoid Unverse was preparing the clearing for Roxas's test tomorrow. Everything was falling into place and soon he could knock off a few things off of his to do list.

Punishing Tremaine, getting combat data on how well the Husk preforms, and maybe get this book done so he could figure out Roxas's secret.

But first their was one little thing he needed to test out first.

"There you are." He said as the two Floods slunk around the ground towards him. "So how much did you bring me?"

Both Unversed presented a few fragments of the pumpkin in their hands.

Vanitas raised his hand and unleashed a wave of darkness over the remains, burning them to cinders.

Except for one fragment of the pumpkin, surrounded by sparkling light.

"Good there is still some magic left, bring me all that you can find." Vanitas ordered, getting the Floods to nod before they sunk into the ground and went back to their mission.

The ancient Keybalde wielder placed the pumpkin fragment next to him as he went back to writing.

That little fragment and the magic that it held within will help shape the weapon of Tremaine's downfall.

After all, he knew the story well enough that when she will react to Cinderella's freedom with silent hostility, callousness, and an increased lack in the value of human life.

So much so, she would welcome something that would make all her problems go away without question.

And in the end that would seal her fate.

After Cinderella had long vanished into the distance and the three Keyblade wielders slipped past a distraught looking Grand Duke, they walked through the town before making it to entrance.

"This is it I suppose, the next time we are to see each other hopefully either one of us have found Ven." Terra said as he and Aqua hugged each other.

"I hope so, and Terra please take care of yourself. I don't want to worry about making another mistake like in the last world." Aqua said as they broke off from their hug.

"Don't worry I won't." Terra said, before bringing Roxas into a one armed hug. "As for you, it has been fun Roxas. Despite our first encounter that is. Hopefully you won't an encounter Vanitas again anytime soon."

"Hopefully." Roxas said, as he knew that sooner or later the ancient Keyblade wielder would turn up once again like in Radiant Garden.

Terra let go of the Nobody before summoning Earthshaker and opened up the gateway before summoning his armor and throwing his Keyblade into the air.

"Until next time and good luck you two. Hopefully the next time we see each other, we will all be reunited." Terra said with a wave before he jumped onto his Keyblade glider and rode into the gateway.

As it was sealed shut Aqua threw up Rainfall and turned into it's Keyblade glider form, a floating ballista platform.

"Come on Roxas, let's find a place to camp out for the night." Aqua said as she hoped onto the glider. "And make sure to hold on tight, this glider can't handle two people like Terra's glider."

"Alright." Roxas said as climbed on and grabbed a hold of Aqua as the Keyblade glider took off into the night.

.

The next morning Roxas woke up in their camp in a small clearing near the Tremaine manor just as the sun started to climb higher and higher into the sky

The Nobody got up and stretched with a groan, before noticing that there was a wall of ice right next to him.

"Good to see that you are up Roxas. I was just about to wake you up for some light training." Aqua said as she finished with another ice wall next to her.

"And what would that be?" Roxas asked as he walked over to the new Keyblade Master.

"We are going to focus on Water as one of the scrolls is the second tier of it and to be honest I need to work on it a little myself." Aqua said, before looking a little sheepish. "Though seeing it in action, I guess I really should have figured the exact machinations of the spell sooner after seeing you use it. It was simple enough to recreate."

"Wait are you telling me that you figured out the spell after seeing it just once?" Roxas asked in surprise.

It had taken him and Sora a few tries of a spell just to learn one...maybe a few more tries for the later due to his multiple accounts of memory loss.

"Just a few of them, Water was easier to figure out due to one of my Shotlocks." Aqua said before shaking her head. "Anyway the walls are where we are going to be train, hitting each other with the spell. This will also help with your reflexes as the objective is not to be hit by the spell as much as possible. After there will be breakfast before we begin our walk to the Tremaine manor, which you will use practice the control over your light. There we will check on Cinderella...and maybe have to keep a virgil on her for a little while if last night was of any indication. After that we will depart to the Enchanted Domain and depending on how much time we have either train, set up camp, or begin our search for Ben and Terra there. So how does that sound Roxas?"

"I think that is perhaps a pretty good plan Aqua." Roxas said with a nod.

He honestly meant it, she must have put a lot of thought into it and it showed. It was actually pretty sound and if the brief humming sensation thought his body was of any indication Ava thought so as well.

Still he would see how well it will last though.

After all a good plan could fall apart as soon as it makes contact with the Heartless, but in this case the Unversed or Vanitas.

"Why thank you Roxas, though I got the idea after thinking about what Master would have done in this situation. It hasn't even been that long since I became a Keyblade Master before being thrown into the situation with the Unversed." Aqua sighed out, getting Roxas to nod in agreement.

"Hopefully that we will all reunited and get through this situation soon." Roxas said.

"Same here, but for now we will have to focus on finding Ven soon and use this problem to sharpen our skills. The more we improve, the sooner we can all deal with the Unversed." Aqua sighed out before she hardened her features and trained Rainfall at the Nobody. "Speaking of which, let's begin today's training Roxas. Are you ready?"

"Ready as I will ever be." Roxas said while summoning Oathkeeper and training it at her.

Aqua just nodded at that and launched a stream of water at Roxas, beginning their training.

An hour later the two of them were walking on the trail to the Tremaine manor, Roxas practicing with the light sphere once again.

It had gone exactly as Aqua had planned so far. Minus himself getting soaked one to many times from Aqua. But there was no telling how long it would last.

Especially it was too quiet, if this had been yesterday they would have been attacked by a group of Unversed by now.

So all along the wall the two of them were keeping their senses at the ready, at the slightest hint of the Unversed prepared to summon their Keyblades at a moment's notice.

Luckily they never had to do so as they arrived to the Tremaine manor, however when they reached the manor it was to something that made Aqua's heart wretch.

"Let me out! You can't keep me locked up here! Please let me out!" Cinderella's desperate cries ran out from an open window where Lady Tremaine stopped by.

"Guard her and make sure Cinderella doesn't try to escape. And if she does make sure she is alive and out of sight of the Grand Duke along with yourselves. That girl is no use to me dead." Tremaine said as two Blue Sea Salt and four Red Hot Chili appears in a puff darkness and nodded at her before disappearing once again as Tremaine slammed the window shut.

This was bad, Lady Tremaine could control the Unversed and might have figured out that Cinderella was at the ball last night.

And it might have opened up the possibility that she unleashed the Symphony Master onto the ball last night.

Two Red Hot Chili appeared before the two, but were quickly wiped out by a ball of light and Aqua's Keyblade.

With that Roxas took a breathe to calm himself.

They needed to deal with Tremaine now.

If she truly had unleashed the Unversed at the ball, then she had no trouble on using them on human life. Even on one of her own daughters. He and Sora had seen what such like minded individuals could use Heartless for, so he could imagine the damage Tremaine could do if she had a swarm of Unversed under her.

The Nobody turned towards Aqua to talk what they were going to do about Tremaine, only to see her walk to their front door with light bristling off of her and Rainfall in hand.

Looking quite ready to bust in their door.

"Aqua what do you think your doing?" Roxas asked as he ran towards her.

"Doing what I should have done last night, culling Tremaine's darkness from this world permanently. Her and every other shred of darkness in this household." Aqua said coldly as she continued to walk towards the door.

"Aqua don't do this, remember what we talked back in the Land of Departure?" Roxas asked, getting her to stop and turn to face him. Getting the Nobody to flinch a little at how intense her gaze was.

"I do, but what does that have to do with Lady Tremaine?" Aqua asked coolly.

"Everything, if you are going to burst that door down and confront her like this I am worried what could happen. Besides there are other ways to deal with Lady Tremaine." Roxas said, getting Aqua to frown.

Personally she would have gone in and purged the Tremaine household of their darkness...but it would have gone against what her Master had taught her and her own beliefs.

Despite wishing to cull Lady Tremaine of her darkness, of their is another way she would hear Roxas out.

But if the method was unsatisfactory, then Tremaine's heart would still be purged and rejoin Kingdom Hearts soon enough.

"Then what is your idea Roxas?" Aqua asked, getting Roxas to let out a sigh of relief.

He was worried, he had never seen an imbalance towards the light like this nor had Sora. While she could be reasoned with, he needed to figure out what would happen if someone was consumed by their light could do and soon.

The Nobody knew well enough what someone would do when their heart was corrupted by the darkness, but by the light was a complete mystery. But considering he believed that Aqua was possibly going to straight up murder Lady Tremaine and anyone else with a great imbalance of darkness it could not be good.

"Lady Tremaine ordered the Unversed to hide themselves from the Grand Duke, then that means he is looking for Cinderella." Roxas said, getting Aqua nod before her eyes widened in realization.

"Then if we were to free Cinderella and expose Lady Tremaine in front of him everything would end in our favor. Cinderella would be taken away and Lady Tremaine would be held in judgement for her involvement with the Unversed, especially after last night." Aqua said as the light began to fade around her. "We would still have to deal with the Unversed though, but otherwise a good idea."

Roxas let out a sigh of relief and nodded as the light faded around Aqua.

"Sorry about that Roxas, I guess what Tremaine just got under my skin. More then I would care to admit." Aqua sighed out before she gained a determined look. "Now let's find a way inside that she would not be expecting anyone to use and free Cinderella."

"Then I might be able to help my dear." A voice rang out around them before sparkling light began to gather around them into one place to form someone who the Keyblade Master knew of through Terra's and Roxas's description.

"So you are Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, it is an honor to meet you." Aqua said honestly, getting the old fairy to smile.

"Why thank you my dear, but now is not the time. Cinderella's friends are doing their best to make sure her light doesn't fade. They can handle Lucifer, but not the monsters." The Fairy Godmother sighed out.

"So you wish for us to deal with the Unversed, that we can do. But how do you plan on getting us inside?" Aqua asked, with Roxas having a feeling what it might be.

It was going to be just like Wonderland all over again, isn't it?

Unknown to him his thoughts were being mirrored by someone else.

'Kier right before that fairy casts her spell, jump off Roxas or else you will be caught up in it.' Vanitas told the sentient Unversed through their connection.

'I understand my liege' Kier responded, ready to spring from Roxas's back at a moment's notice.

"I will use my magic to get you two close to Cinderella. But I will only do so once you are both ready to do so." The Fairy Godmother said, getting both Keyblade wielders to look at each other before nodding.

"We are both ready then." Aqua said, getting the Fairy Godmother to nod as she brought out her wand.

"Excellent...now what were those words again." The Fairy Godmother mumbled out as she tapped her wand against her hand.

"You might want to brace yourself." Roxas advised the Keyblade Master, getting Aqua to look at him in confusion.

Before she could ask him, the Fairy Godmother remembered the spell.

"Bibbidi bobbidi boo!" She casted a stream of sparkling light coming from the want and wrapping around Aqua and Roxas.

Kier jumped off of Roxas's back as the two of them were wrapped in a sphere of light before it got smaller and flew through the window that Tremaine had shut before.

The Fairy Godmother waved them goodbye before vanishing once more, getting Kier to decloak itself.

"So they are now mouse sized like the weakling was. Should I unleash the other Unversed on them now my liege?' Kier asked.

'Negative, in fact call off all the Unversed until both Roxas's and your test start.' Vanitas said, surprising the Unversed.

"My test?" Kier asked while tilting it's head in confusion.

It never heard anything about a test for itself before from its king.

'You said that you wished to fight, well this is your chance. You have a pint sized Keyblade Master to go wild on. Just remember to flee if your are going to die Kier. I don't know if I can ever recreate whatever happened to grant you sentience. But you are to important to risk your destruction, so do not be afraid run away. Alright Kier?' Vanitas ordered, getting Kier to nod happily and excitedly.

"Of course my king!" Kier said happily, getting the chance to prove it could be more use to Vanitas.

'Good now follow them and get into position, I will be there soon.' Vanitas said before cutting off the connection.

Kier nodded as it began to bounce around happily before sinking into the ground.

Ready for when it came time to in its king's words, go wild.

"Here we are, and still no sign of any Unversed." Aqua said as she surveyed their surroundings.

It had been a few minutes since they had entered the manor and their current size was still a strange experience for Aqua. Though Roxas was handling it much better then she had due to his experience.

With his help had mostly adapted to their current predicament and we're now ready to help Cinderella.

However they were both on edge, as contrary to what the Fairy Godmother had said there was no Unversed patrolling.

The only explanation was either she was wrong or they were walking into an ambush.

It was most likely the later.

Still both Keyblade wielders were not going to let that stop them from rescuing Cinderella.

"Roxas cover me while I unlock the door. If the Unversed where going to attack us, now is the time." Aqua said while summoning Rainfall and Roxas summoned Destiny Rewritten.

"Alright." He said while onguard and ready for any Unversed.

What he wasn't ready for was something wet to land next to him as his nose was filled with the smell of blood and his lungs to fill with black smoke.

"Roxas what happened?" Aqua asked with concern as the Nobody started to cough before she took a couple steps back.

Roxas coughed for a few more moments before his vision cleared to see that he was back to his normal size and towering over Aqua.

"I don't know but it could be anything." Roxas said as he summoned his Keyblade's barrier in an attempt to defend themselves.

"Actually that was my blood, guess I was right. It carries over my immunity to transformation magic." A all too familiar voice rang out as Vanitas stepped out of a Corridor nod Darkness. "Still it is time for your next test Roxas."

"Vanitas." Roxas snapped as he got in front of Aqua and Cinderella's door.

Before he knew it he was dragged into a Corridor of Darkness right below him that closed as soon as he crossed through.

Aqua tried to reach out to him, but it was too late. Just like in the Land of Departure.

"Don't worry little mouse he is still on this world. You will get Roxas back once he makes out of my test, hopefully alive. As for you, I have a test for-" Vanitas said, but was cut off when a massive bolt of lightning crashed into him. "Okay what the hell!"

Vanitas widened his eyes in shock as he saw Aqua jumping on magic generated platforms to reach him. He swung Void Gear at her, but the Keyblade Master simply jumped on to his Keyblade and launched off of it.

Aqua reached his helmet and imbedded Rainfall halfway through it, getting Vanitas to recoil in shock.

"This is the second time you spirited Roxas away right in front of me and you probably started all of this. So you are going to pay dearly for everything you have done." Aqua said coldly as her Keyblade charged up with magic. "Thunderstorm!"

Aqua launched the Shotlock as multiple bolts of lightning were launched into Vanitas's eyes.

He screamed in pain as he was rendered blind by the attack and settled to ram his helmet against a wall to squash her.

But Aqua jumped out of the way before Vanitas slammed into the wall with a groan.

Suddenly a pair of Floods flocked to his sides and focused their attention squarely on her.

Vanitas steadied himself and trained Void Gear on the miniature Keyblade Master before launching a massive gale of wind from its tip.

Aqua summoned a barrier around her, but it proved fruitless as it simply blew her into an empty room.

Once she was in there a third Floor closed the door before Vanitas locked it shut with his Keyblade.

"Kier please make sure to make her suffer." Vanitas said with a groan as he inspected the damage Aqua did to him. "Kingdom Heart damn it , she seared one of my eyes shut. That is going to take a while to heal."

He knew that on his own both Aqua and Terra where threats he couldn't easily deal with, but he didn't think even while reduced in size Aqua was even more dangerous.

"Suppose that is the price to pay for underestimating a pint sized Keyblade Master. Still come on, we can't be late for Roxas's test." Vanitas said as he opened a Corridor of Darkness that he and the Floods walked through and closed behind him.

Roxas picked himself off the ground with a groan and surveyed his surrounds.

He was still in the Castle of Dreams as he could see the towers of the castle over the tree tops. Though the area looked like it could have been in Halloween Town.

It was covered in spider webs and upturned trees to form a makeshift wall in this clearing, turning it into an arena for whatever test Vanitas had for him.

Not that he was going to stick around to find out.

Roxas summoned a Corridor of Darkness and was about to walk through it when he sensed Vanitas appear on the other side of the arena.

"Magic Seal!" Vanitas casted and suddenly the Corridor vanished right before his eyes.

"How do you like that Roxas a little trick I learned, shuts off the use in magic of humans and some objects over a wide area. Of course it also affects myself as well, so in all honestly it's a double-edged sword." Vanitas said as Roxas turned to see him on a overturned tree with his helmet cracked, a book in his hand, and surrounded by three Floods. "Still you are not going anywhere until my test is over."

Not the most combat worthy of the spells he pilvered from Xehanort's study, but it was still quite useful for when the situation calls for it.

"And I see Aqua had gotten to you as well." Roxas said, putting away Destiny Rewritten and switching it out for Oathkeeper and Oblivion.

"That she did, I underestimated her and it will not happen again. I have a little something set up for the mouse and if that fails I am going to squash her myself. That is if you can beat my test that is." Vanitas said before snapping his fingers.

Roxas heard something rustling from the nearby treetops before something leaped towards the Nobody with a polearm.

He raised his Keyblades to block it and to his surprise his attacker looked almost exactly like Vanitas, but from the feel of its heart that it was an Unversed.

"Meet the Husk...which might need a new name. Still this your test, you better pass for both your's and Aqua's sake." Vanitas said his tone full of malice as the Husk pulled back and twirled it's polearm as Roxas braced himself.

The Keyblade wielder almost wanted to laugh at the irony. A Nobody facing a Husk.

Still this is no laughing matter and if the name was of any indication, then he would hate to see what could be lurking underneath it's Vanitas like shell.

"I need to get out of here." Aqua groaned out as she picked herself out from the wall on the far side of the room.

She needed to get out of here and find Roxas as soon as possible.

Unaware to the Keyblade Master Kier uncloaked itself and silently raised one of it's arms to attack as it emerged from the ground. A sadistic gleam in the Unversed's eyes.

This was going to be fun.

The screen flickers for a bit before the author reappears.

*Hey guys Hakuorofan7 here and I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter.*

*As you can see a few things have happened including the surprise the Fairy Godmother promised Cinderella. Roxas and Aqua got a bit closer, Terra believing the former has a crush, Vanitas making his moves, and now Roxas and Aqua are separated on different sides of the world. With Roxas facing the Husk and what lurks inside it and Aqua facing against Kier.*

*Both are in for quite a nasty surprise next chapter from their respective opponents. What they will be...well you know one of their abilities but the other one is bound to pack quite the punch.*

*Speaking of which, a quick question. Should I split the next chapter into to two for each fight or to keep it just one chapter? I am divided on the issue so if anyone has any feedback I would appreciate it.*

*Anyway guys that is all for now. If you have any questions leave a review or PM me and I will get back to you while I can. So until next time, ciao!*

The author waves goodbye as the screen fades to black.
