She was bleeding and she was weak. Very, very weak. It hurt to move, it hurt to breathe. And on top of everything, she had no idea where she was, which, at the moment, was probably a good thing. She slid down the dark of a nearby tree and took a deep breathe. She didn't sense no signs of life, maybe she'd die in peace, leaning against this tree away from that traitor.

"No Kagome! You have to stay alive. For Souta, mom, and Grandpa." Slowly, she undid the Kimono she was wearing to get a better look at the wound. She bit her lip as she peeled away the fabric that was resting against the wound. She sucked in a breathe as she got a good look at it.

Luckily, the gash hadn't hit any vital organs, however it oozed with blood. The sword that had once protected her, had turned on her, well, more like the wielder of the sword had. Some how she had managed to escape and jump down the well. The adrenaline had quickly faded away once she had climbed out of the well and now she was in immense pain. She began to tear long strips from her kimono. Taking a deep breathe, and with shaky hands, she managed to wrap several long strips of her kimono around her.

With a relived sigh, Kagome allowed her head to rest against the tree. The next few days were going to be difficult. She had no idea where she was nor where she could search for food. Rest was defiantly going to play a huge factor if she wanted to get back on her feet. For now, she'd rest. She looked up through the canopy of the tree's and closed her eyes.

It had taken her a full week before she was able to get on her feet and walk without feeling too much pain. While she rested, she had taken to eating the bark of the tree, which wasn't all that bad. She wouldn't make it a habit to randomly eat tree's. She could walk, but at a slow pace, what was enough for her. She hadn't traveled very far, but it was nothing but big ass tree's and she was getting tired of seeing them quite honestly. She had spent her fair share of time in forests.

Was there any end to it? Probably. Usually she'd come across at least one traveler by this time and she beginning to feel rather lonely. Not only that, but she was running low on fabric and needed to change her bandages soon. If she tore off anymore clothing, she'd be showing more skin than she wanted to.

Another week had passed. She was supposed to get better, but was beginning to feel weaker. Kagome stripped the top part of her kimono off and slowly undid the bandages. She felt tears form in her eyes as she looked at it. The wound was beginning to show signs of infection. It need to be properly cleaned and bandaged or she would die.

She let out a bitter laugh. "There's nothing I can do. There's no one around. No water, no people, no nothing!" She slid down the bark of a tree. "It's okay. I've lived a fulfilling life, even if the end sucked. I didn't want to die by his hand..." Angrily she stood back to her feet, staggering as she did so. "You hear that you bastard?" she screamed into the sky. "You're going to get you wish!" She cried out. She didn't want to die, but it seemed fate had other plans for the priestess. She fell to her knees and buried her face into her hands and cried. "I don't want to die..."

"Then don't."
