Here we go, another Miraculous occurrence! Also an update, but that's good to. And, as a bonus, after the chapter, I'm going to be outlining some of the possible song options I was considering, and how they would have been incorporated. Till then, business as usual. If a bit bloodier. Enjoy!

Ialso own none of the properties I write about here. I don't claim to, nor do I ever. What I do own is the time I use to write, and any bits thrown towards me help me write for longer, as well as eat while doing so. Available here, is a link to my P A Treon. And if you're looking for something not once a month try here, which is a link to a pool, for those of you looking to commission or just some incentive for me. Chapter 14: Oooh, So Close

OR

Lights, Camera, Disappointment Part 7

There he was, standing as the only guard between awestruck civilians and a person who should have never been a villain. It was almost enough to make Deku laugh, if he didn't think he'd throw up instead.

It wasn't the time for that right now though. Izuku could cry and panic and shake to his knees when this was over and everyone was safe. Until then, Deku would swallow it all, bear the biggest smile possible, even if they couldn't see it, and Save. Everybody.

If anybody noticed Deku tense up a bit more as Sir Justice finally shook himself from his own surprise, then that was only expected, after all.

His response though...was not what was expected.

"Oooh, cool! A new hero appeared! Hey, hey, are you here to beat up that Villain with me? Is my first adventure gonna be a team-up episode!? This is Aawwwwesome!" Sir Justice gushed like, well, the kid he was, doing a great job of ruining the tense atmosphere Izuku had come in expecting.

After another moment following this revelation, seeing him continue to babble about all the cool possible 'adventures' that could happen from there, Deku spared a glance back at his former captive of interest.

Chloé, feeling new eyes on here, stopped readjusting her clothes and make-up to settle a bright smile completely at ends with how she usually acted from Deku's experience and gatherings.

It was lucky Sir Justice was too busy fantasizing to stop him from getting close enough to talk, but gift-horses weren't to be trifled with.

"Are you okay? And is he serious right now?" Deku whispered as calmly as he could, focusing more on both the threat in front of him, and his own words so nothing odd was said.

To Chloé , they were as cool and smooth as a rich chocolate mousse. The fact that she could still feel the phantom sensation of such strong~, arms around her, was it any surprise Chloé merely sighed contently and lost herself in a fantasy for a moment?

After another few attempts at getting her attention failed, Deku turned to the next person he could see, noticeably startled a bit, and it wasn't really helped when the man visibly shrugged, not really sure why she wasn't reacting. He, at least, answered.

"We're alright, a little startled, but not too bad. For all he was moving us, we really are mostly his 'audience'." The man said back in a quiet tone, catching not of where Sir Justice apparently was now miming fighting someone and muttering quips under his breath, even as Deku gave a small nod of his own, focusing attention fully back to Sir Justice with no one injured to worry about.

'Okay. This is already better than with Raging Muscle. No-one has been injured yet, only some light property damage has occurred, and Sir Justice seems, not quite non-violent, but much less bloodthirsty...with one seeming exception.' Deku thought, bringing up the memory of said exception before discounting it for the time being.

'Okay, he's a kid, and wants to be a hero. There's literally no-one I can sympathize with more. Let's give this a try.' Deku decided, a semblance of a plan now forming beyond the shock and awe entrance to allow for hostages to escape.

"All that sounds like a lot of fun, Sir Justice. I'd be glad to call you my friend, and a hero." Deku spoke completely truthfully. He really would love both of those things.

Not just because of the familiar site of a child wanting to be a hero, but for for the sheer fact that having more heroes around always made a difference.

Evidently, his feelings were heard, as Sir Justice froze in the middle of his posing, the cheesy dialogue he was practicing dying on his lips.

With movements stiff as the statues Sir Justice's weapons generally came from, the boy stared at Deku, trying to see if there was a trick or trap to be had.

There wasn't. Just an earnest gaze and a hand being reached out in friendship.

Sir Justice gulped, blinked away tears, and reached for the hand...

Only to gasp and tear away from the outstretched hand as a butterfly shaped sigil grew over Sir Justice's face, instantly throwing up warning signals for Deku.

He was proven right, as a voice began to speak in time with the sigal's pulsing.

"Oh, Sir Justice, are you truly so easily swayed? What happened to that Go-Getter attitude you had that drew me to you. What about that getting back at that Wretched Villain, Captain Crusader? Or Finding the Miraculous for Me?" The voice seemed to almost resonate in the air, more so than be spoken, words being emphasized in different places and tones.

It made Deku's teeth itch and clench behind his steel faceguard, even as Sir Justice flinched and drew in on himself, seemingly involuntarily.

"W-well, I mean, I can still do those things...I-I WILL do those things! In fact, it'll be bigger and better and besterest than ever before with my new super buddy! We'll beat all the bad guys and be REAL Hero's! RIGHT...uh, Green-Guy?" Sir Justice stuttered in defense, before growing louder and bombastic again, even as he turned himself around abruptly, making Deku flinch as he felt the sigil align a presence onto him.

It wasn't like Killing Intent, as he felt with Stain. This...this felt like being a specimen under a microscope, observed for study but ready to be discarded with a moment's thought.

Deku decided he didn't like the feeling. Before he could speak again, or share his name, the voice started talking again.

"Ah, yes. Deku. How interesting. But he's no Hero, not like you." The voice emanated casually, as if reading an article from the paper.

The smile Sir Justice was bearing disappeared in an instant, replaced by a heartbroken expression made even worse by the indigo light baring down on his face.

"W-wha? He's...Deku's...not a Hero?"

"No, anything but. In fact, he was even running from the police not too long ago. Did you nearly fall for his tricks as well? For shame, Sir Justice. I thought you'd be past that by now." The voice seemed to chuckle, even as the sigil broke into flakes of light and disappear.

Still, Deku finally managed to speak through the strange haze the presence had cast on him, trying to think of the words and a way to explain how that wasn't the full story, how he was a hero, but the moment of hesitation was enough to seal whatever doubts Sir Justice seemed to have.

"Again. Again! I almost fell for a Fake Hero AGAIN! No more! I'll beat all you fakers trying to trick me, and everyone else! So come on!" Sir roared as he threw his sword in the air, pulling the second from the small of his back into his left hand. With a wave of the smaller sword, the now airborne metal seemed to split down the middle, before doing it again and again, resulting in seven swords now floating around the seething child, the original now having fallen comfortably back into his hands.

"Today, you fight a REAL HERO, SIR JUSTICE!" Though the tone was somewhat ruined by his near voice-cracking screech, the intent was nothing less than deadly, as the blades positioned themselves as if to fire.

All Deku was able to think as the swords did exactly as he thought they would, was 'God damn my language skills.'

END OF CHAPTER

BONUS

And here we have the possible music and scene corner, the main reason why this and the last chapter updates for this story have taken what amounts to near three months time! Fun.

First off, we have the previous frontrunner for a while, Pride, by Divide Music. It had the energy I was looking for to suit a good fight, spoke a good bit about our favorite sparking Hero-To-Be, and would fit in very nicely to play in this easily destructible studio-lot. It was, however, discarded for a myriad of reasons, most importantly) it didn't really feel right for such a song to be played while fighting a kid, and not someone worse, it mentions One For All pretty heavily and handily, and the line 'She will Smile Again when This Is Through' felt a little too targeted towards Chloé to really fit with the general feel for my liking.

Next, we get Just Another Hero, by Steven Mcnair. It's a brilliant song with a nice message, and actually what inspired the Sir Justice scene itself! Or, at least, my Akuma At The Theater storyline, which evolved into what you read today. And I thought this up...near a year and a half ago? Damn it took a while to put into action. Hell, the original line that got me so excited with the concept involved was Deku stumbling upon Ladybug already fighting an Akuma, and deciding to distract it with the song while he got a surprise shot in. The only warning of a break in the fight would have been 'Wait, why do I hear Spanish guitar?' And it would have been great. Sadly, the Broke and a Coward line kind of ruined it for my purposes, as well as the fact that it just doesn't work as well in this context, I felt.

And, as the last option I was considering, we have One For All, also by Divide Music. It's an incredible piece of music that immediately brings to mind everything All Might stands for, but was also dismissed almost as soon as it was thought up, for a myriad of reasons. The scale doesn't fit, no-one really KNOWS Deku yet, One For All blatant mentions galore, so on and so for. Still a wonderful song.

Next up, we have the suggestions, which came intermittently and during the last chapter! Most of which...weren't that great.

The highest one, with a bullet, was Hero Too, which...no. Just no. Its a nice song, very catchy and a wonderful display of animation for those who've watched it, but a fight song it is not, especially for an introductory fight.

Following this, was every iteration of the My Hero Openings. As in, 1 through 7. Which would have either been too easy, too loud, or just not quite fit what I was looking for.

And there we have it! Hope you enjoyed the chapter, and the little peak into my creative process! The next chapter...will be coming soon.

Until then, I have a new Bare Bones Beyond game to get ready for tomorrow! Cheers ya'll, and don't forget to share your thoughts and or Omakes! I love both of those!
