Are you all happy now?

Some of you were REALLY annoying in asking me for this chapter, and its actually been ready for a while.

But I'm a petty bastard, so I waited until you all realised that whining wasn't going to give you what you wanted.

So stop asking me to work on something specific, and just enjoy what I do.

'Really confused about what happened with everyone's voices.' Raditz mentally mused as he adjusted his new outfit, which consisted of a black saiyan torso armor, similar to what Vegeta would eventually wear, black gauntlets, and red pants with black boots on his feet. 'Seriously, I wake up one day and everyone has their original japanese voices. Did something happen back in the original world or something? This is really weird, especially since I've heard some of them utter some TFS jokes.'

'Also, pretty fucking sure my memories are getting erased.' he thought with a frown on a more serious problem he had 'I remember Vegeta and Nappa's faces, same for Frieza, but… further details are eluding me. I can't recall exact details about Cell, nor about Buu. I know about Beerus, but I can't remember the name of his attendant. I'm straight up FORGETTING several things that I'm positive I knew! Is the Universe clipping my claws so to speak? Making sure I don't change too much?'

There was one thing he was very glad to remember though. Super Saiyan, and all of it's levels, INCLUDING Super Saiyan 4, which he had a theory about how it could be attained.

At any rate, he had to work with what he got for now, and among other things, he'd have to make sure everyone had an idea of what Vegeta and Nappa would bring to the table more or less… that and find a way to gain extra power FAST.

'Gohan's growing quick, everyone is preparing as best as they can, but it won't be enough…' he frowned, thinking about what he could do to… Then he slapped his forehead. "Not going to like this plan, but it's the best I have."

"You want me to what?" Piccolo asked incredulously as he actually paused Gohan's training, the young boy having started taking it seriously right off the bat, thus the hands on training came faster.

"Kick my ass till I'm within an inch of my life. I'm about to abuse the living hell out of the Zenkai Boosts us Saiyans have. I even visited Korin and he had a stash of Senzu Beans for emergencies he gave me. Kami recommended them to me when I went to him for advice." Raditz explained. "Besides, it's not like I'm going to be holding still the whole way. You get some practice too."

"Well...if you're sure," Piccolo shrugged. If he wanted to have near death experiences for power, then that was fine by him.

"What are you doing?" Gohan asked, curious as to why they seemed so serious about their talk.

"Honestly? Something REALLY stupid...and painful...and something you DEFINITELY shouldn't try for yourself...unless we're in 'desperate measures' territory...which we are right now," Raditz sighed. "You...might not want to watch come to think of it."

Gohan gulped and nodded, going away to train on his own.

Once Gohan was far away enough. "Okay, let's get started. This is gonna suck…" Raditz sighed.

Later...

"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" came 21's voice in one of the many labs inside the Capsule Corp building as she paced around the room angrily while Raditz was lying down on a table, a scanner going over him showing his muscle tissue, which according to the machine, had gotten tougher, same for his skin, his bones, and, of course, his overall power level.

His plan had worked, and had been working for the last month… until 21 SOMEHOW caught wind of what he was doing and had actually bodily dragged him to Capsule Corp to run a check-up on him.

He suspected Gohan having tattled, since while the boy was still wonky on flight, he could run FAST.

"Look, it's a stupid plan, even I can admit that." Raditz said with a sigh.

"Oh good, you can admit it! That doesn't help!" she told him angrily.

"I NEEDED those Zenkai Boosts! They were my best chance to catch up to Nappa's level at least. By now I'd say I'm roughly half as strong as him rather than just 1/5th of his power." he reasoned.

She groaned loudly at that, unable to deny the logic, despite how angry she was "Alright, fine, so the result is good. But don't ever do that kind of stunt again! Do you hear me? I'll try to make something less risky." she told him.

"Good luck with that, if you manage it I'll be the first to use it." he shot back with a smirk. "But yes, I'll stop with the Zenkai Boost abuse since I'm pretty sure I can cover the remaining power level needed with normal training."

"Glad to hear that," 21 nodded curtly.

"Kid's definitely gone a long way," Raditz nodded as he and Piccolo were once again watching over Gohan's training, and the boy was fighting a T-Rex… and throwing it around by its tail, much to the T-Rex's surprise and discomfort. The large dinosaur roared and tried to bite him, but a powerful punch knocked its teeth out, to which it soon ran away in pain, realizing it had bit off more than it could chew.

"I'll say. He grows in leaps and bounds." Piccolo smirked rather proudly. "If things keep going like that we may not even need Goku."

"You say that, but, first, a plan never survives first contact with the enemy, and second, trust me when I say something's going to go wrong." Raditz said with a sigh.

"Fair enough. Still, we'll continue the course," Piccolo said. "I assume you have some idea how to deal with both of them."

"Somewhat," Raditz sighed. "There's no nice way to put it, we're likely going to be in for the fight of our lives...and probably going to have some casualties in the process. Vegeta and Nappa are no joke. Doesn't help by default they're of a 'higher class' than me and Kakarot, so they have the natural born talent advantage, but thankfully that CAN be overcome with hard work."

"Good to know that at least," Piccolo frowned. "Though that doesn't answer the question of how we can beat them."

"Eh...I'll save that for when everyone is gathered. It'd be best if everyone knows," Raditz sighed.

"Fair point. We should call a war meeting sometime soon," Piccolo nodded.

A few days later…

"Okay, so everyone is here," Raditz nodded as gathered before him were all of the other Z-Fighters...and Piccolo who was sitting a bit away from them for...obvious reasons. "I'm sure you all know why we're here, yes?"

"Killer aliens coming to destroy the planet, yeah? And they used to be your co-workers?" Yamcha asked a bit nervously.

"Good, Kami filled you in." Raditz nodded "So, yeah, Nappa and Vegeta are probably only a few months away, and we still don't know if my brother's training is going to be complete in time, nor if the Dragon Balls will get their power fast enough to revive him before they land."

"At least gathering the things should only take a few hours. Flying makes that easy as heck." Krillin noted with a sigh.

"Thank goodness for small mercies," Raditz sighed. "Anyway, let's go over a few basic things you need to know about Saiyans," he started. "As you probably know, physically we're basically indistinguishable from humans minus the tail," he wagged said tail for emphasis. "However, by nature Saiyans are warriors and thus grow strong at a more or less faster rate than most other species. This however comes at the cost of most Saiyans being what you Earthlings would call...meat heads...with some exceptions here and there."

"Like you huh?" Tien smirked.

"Yeah, I'm probably one of the only ones that actually uses his head. Nappa's kind of a moron, and Vegeta… well, he's a walking, talking… I believe the term was 'napoleon complex'." Raditz explained.

"Ha! That oughta be good for a laugh." Krillin chuckled in amusement "Basically too much ego for his own good huh?"

"Oh yeah. The guy believes in his own hype so much, he thinks he's basically the second coming of the Legendary Super Saiyan." Raditz chuckled.

"Legendary Super Saiyan?" everyone present blinked, Krillin somewhat remembering those words, but he'd forgotten.

"It's a legend among the Saiyans. Basically a level of power that Saiyans can theoretically reach, but nobody has ever reached it in centuries or more. Heard that was literally the reason Frieza tried to basically kill us all off. He's afraid one of us might be able to reach it and then go and kill him," Raditz said simply, inwardly smirking at the knowledge that one WOULD appear and it's all because of Frieza's own actions. He just couldn't remember what the trigger was going to be.

"...and just to make sure I understand right, NEITHER of them can go that far up, right?" Krillin gulped.

"Of course not. If they could, I'd have already went and dug graves ahead of time," Raditz deadpanned. "If they could go Super Saiyan their theoretical power levels would go so high that we'd probably need a decade of non-stop training just to get a chance to touch them."

"...glad they can't then," Yamcha said dryly.

"Okay, now how to beat a Saiyan. There's...no easy way, I admit," Raditz frowned. "But if there is one, its grabbing the tail. These are very sensitive, so grabbing or damaging them can essentially immobilize the Saiyan in question...but that's assuming they haven't done endurance training to remove that weakness," he sighed. "Also, the 'turning into a Great Ape' thing is tied to the tails too. If we lose our tails we lose the ability to turn into Great Apes when we see a full moon.

"Well, what if we get rid of the moon?" Yamcha asked… to resounding silence.

"Ok, seriously man? You KNOW what the moon does for the earth, right?" Tien asked him in deadpan.

"Uh…" Yamcha failed to answer.

"Jesus christ Yamcha- It controls the tides!" Krillin reminded him "No moon means the water levels are going to go to shit!"

"Didn't Master Roshi blow it up years ago though when Goku was a kid?!" Yamcha asked.

"Yes, and the water levels went to shit, just like Krillin said." Tien added.

"Seriously, it took years for all of those issues to get fixed. Thank everything Kami put the moon back." Krillin sighed.

"Besides, blowing it up is pointless. Some Saiyans know how to make an artificial moon at the cost of a sizable portion of their energy," Raditz added. "One of them being Vegeta. Sure it would weaken him in his humanoid form, but once he goes Great Ape, we're back to square one."

"Right, so blowing up the moon is gonna hurt us more than them," Krillin nodded. "Any other weaknesses?"

"Honestly? The only one I can think of is a swelled head," Raditz sighed. "Those two are on average the, as you'd say, 'cream of the crop' by Saiyan standards, and they know it. That makes them rather arrogant, but it can also make them REALLY lose it if they're proven wrong, something that can either help us...or be utterly disastrous…"

"How so?" Tien asked.

"Either they'll go into a rage that makes them sloppy and we can use that, or they'll go into a super focused state of mind with them hell bent on killing us to prove their superiority," Raditz said dryly.

Yamcha swallowed nervously at that "Right… that's worrying…"

"Anything else we should watch out for?" Piccolo finally spoke up.

"Well… they have these things called Saibamen, little plant soldiers basically, you put them in the ground and they come up battle ready seconds later. They aren't that powerful, rather weak really, and are mostly used as training dummies for the weaker soldiers… and the young saiyans. Also, they like to self destruct as a last resort, so don't let one of them grab you." Raditz explained. "Rip them apart, crush the head, or blow a hole through them, whatever you want, make sure it's dead before turning your back, or it might be the last thing you do...until someone wishes you back to life with those Balls apparently...yeah that's still weird."

"Noted," everyone in the room nodded. Dying because they let their guard down was a dumb way to die.

"Other than that, train like your life depends on it, which it does, and pray we don't die," Raditz sighed. And with that, the 'war meeting' was over. Back to preparing to fight or die.

A couple weeks later…

"So, what was that about me being an idiot?" Raditz smirked as he looked down at 21, currently covered head to toe in bandages and lying down in a hospital bed.

"Shut up." she muttered with an embarrassed blush, earning a laugh out of him.

"That's what you get when you decide to make yourself your own guinea pig." he chided her.

"You know I'm going to be nearly as strong as you once I get out of these at least, right?" she told him.

"I hope you are." he grinned "We'll have to spar once we're both in fighting shape." he chuckled.

21 smirked a bit at that before frowning "Still… part of me wishes my machine hadn't broken down from just a single use."

"It's probably best that it did." Raditz said as he thought back to the pod-like machine that 21 had built in hopes it could help make him even stronger, which she had tested on herself…

And it had essentially been constantly bringing her to the brink of death while healing her at the same time.

Incredibly stupid, dangerous, and pigheaded when you thought about it.

Which was probably the Saiyan blood running in her veins.

Bulma had thankfully found her in time and got her out of the machine before it essentially blew itself up.

And now she was stuck in the hospital to recover, and it would likely take a few months for her to be back in shape.

Because Raditz was NOT going to give her a Senzu, as it wouldn't help her learn her lesson, and he needed to make sure to have enough leftover senzu beans, just to be safe.

Time continued on and while most of the world went by blissfully unaware, the group kept note of the time with grim determination, doing their best to be ready for the fight of their lives, and to what remained of the additional knowledge Raditz had, the first of MANY to come.

The group was gathered in one of the many wastelands of the world, waiting for the Saiyans to arrive, having felt their energy enter Earth's atmosphere just a short amount of time ago.

They'd thankfully gotten the Dragon Balls yesterday, and had used them immediately to revive Goku, it was now a matter of waiting for him to arrive.

Hopefully he would be quick enough.

Raditz had also done a bit of extra preparation, though it was minor really.

One of the biggest rules of combat, don't have long hair, or it'll be grabbed. As such, he had cut most of it off, leaving what was left to reach his shoulders.

The first major sign that the two Saiyans had landed was the… city blowing up. "...yeah, that seems about right for how they enter," Raditz sighed. "Everyone ready?"

"Not really no," Krillin sighed. "But not like we have a choice. Let's go."

"Let's try to give them some of the worst soil for the Saibamen." Raditz grinned as they flew ahead to meet Vegeta and Nappa halfway, flaring their power levels just enough for the scouters to pick them up.

The group soon flew towards a desert rather than the valley they would have in the original story. With the location they were going, Raditz hoped they would lessen if not flat out cancel out the Saibamen seeds with the bad soil.

The group eventually settled on a relatively flat area, a few rock formations not far away, but in general there wouldn't be anyone for miles, so they could fight without involving anyone else. It wasn't long before Vegeta and Nappa's energy signals approached, and two figures could be seen flying towards them.

"Everyone be careful." Raditz reminded the group one last time, before their enemies landed in front of them, letting everyone get a good look at them. The tall, muscular and bald form of Nappa, and the quite short (compared to him) spiky haired form of Vegeta.

"Well, well, if isn't Raditz. And you brought friends. So these are the people Kakarot failed to kill huh? Do you really think they can stand up to us?" Vegeta asked with a laugh.

"I doubt they can Vegeta. Their power levels are all so weak." Nappa added as he used his scouter.

BOTH Vegeta and Raditz sighed at that "Wow, not quick on the uptake huh?" Raditz said.

"No he is not." Vegeta said in annoyance "They can mask their power level Nappa. Any idiot could tell that."

Nappa grit his teeth at that, before scoffing "They're still no match for us."

"You'd think that, but I made sure they would all be properly ready against you two, and anything you could end up pulling. Plus, I didn't just sit on my laurels you know? I've been training as hard as I can to catch up to you two." Raditz smirked.

Vegeta looked around at that "Yes, I can see that. Meeting us in a desert like this… you want to be sure we don't have that many Saibamen to use."

"Basic rule of battle. If you can lessen the opponents, why not?" Raditz smirked.

"It was a clever move, I'll give you that. But you'd be mistaken if you think it's going to help," Vegeta chuckled. "But since you've gone through the trouble, I think we'll humor you."

"Heh, you really want to have fun with this, huh?" Nappa smirked, taking out the Saibamen pills, before making a few holes in the sand and dropping the pills into them, but rather than 6 of them like there should have been...there were 7 pills. Nappa quickly buried them and dripped the formula on them, triggering their rapid growth. A moment later, three holes appeared, the creatures quickly growing out of the ground, revealing the two hideous forms of Saibamen. However, for the third hole, it revealed what looked like a Saibamen, but instead it was grey in color with blue eyes. The appearance of that one caused Raditz's eyes to widen in surprise and some worry.

"When did you two get your hands on a Jinkouman?!" he couldn't help but ask.

"We've had it for quite some time now. It's the last of the ones we used here and there," Vegeta said. "Either way, these will play with you first."

"Ok, gonna assume the grey one is trouble?" Yamcha asked.

"The green ones are roughly as strong as I was when I first landed here a year ago. The grey one is closer to my current level. So, yeah, it's trouble." Raditz frowned.

"Ok, so… should we just… rush them all?" Krillin asked in worry.

"Avoid Nappa and Vegeta if that's what you mean. At least for now, focus on the Saibamen and the Jinkouman." Raditz told them.

"Good enough for now," Yamcha said.

"Remember, we're mainly trying to by time," Tien reminded. "If what Raditz said is true, then we'll want to avoid having to fight those two for as long as we can."

"Like it or not, Kakarot is our best bet with Vegeta." Raditz said with a nod, having no delusions about his own strength.

Yes, he was stronger than his brother when he first landed, but he knew by instinct that once he returned, said brother would have surpassed him, and would be quite capable of fighting the Saiyan Prince.

"Let's deal with these plants for now then," Tien said.

"Now now, let's not be too hasty," Raditz spoke up. "Even in a fight for our lives it's not too much fun if it's over too quickly. How about a little one on one, see how far we can go?" he suggested, giving a discreet look to his allies.

Nappa laughed. "You actually think these weaklings stand a chance? Fine then, I've got no issues having the Saibamen fight you one on one. Any objections, Vegeta?"

"None whatsoever," Vegeta smirked. "We might as well enjoy what little entertainment this planet is likely to offer us anyway."

With that confirmation, Raditz went over back to the group and spoke in a more hushed voice. "Okay, this should buy us some time. By my estimate, none of us are in any real danger from the Saibamen, beyond the self-destruct, so draw it out as long as you can," he said.

"I'll go first," Yamcha said, stepping forward, to which (at the command of Nappa) one of the Saibamen did the same, the other and the Jinkouman looking raring to go already.

The two stared at each other, before they suddenly surged forward in blurs, clashing on the ground at one moment then mid-air in another. It was honestly quite impressive for the average onlooker.

"I thought you said Saibamen weren't that strong," Krillin couldn't help but say as they watched the fight.

"They aren't, but then strong or weak is relative," Raditz said. "The fact Yamcha is fighting this one well is proof he's leagues above the average Earthling."

"Besides, it's better this way. Every second counts," Tien frowned as they continued to watch the fight.

The battle was nothing short of seesaw, much to Yamcha's annoyance. He knew he could end this fight with just an opening, but the thing was, the idea was to try and buy as much time as they could. He wanted to believe he was strong enough to take on the two Saiyans, but Raditz had made it a point to emphasize how high on the power scale they were, ESPECIALLY Vegeta. In short, he wasn't about to put everyone in jeopardy faster than needed just for his own ego. With that in mind, he continued to maintain the stalemate for a good 20 more minutes, but eventually he could feel himself starting to get tired. With that in mind, when the Saibaman he was fighting tried to grab him, he blurred and appeared behind it, followed by a powerful Ki Blast at near point blank, blasting it into the ground...followed by another shot that hit it square in the chest, drilling a hole right through its torso, leaving a gaping hole as its body went limp, very much dead.

Yamcha let out a small sigh, before giving his friends a thumbs up at his win, and turning to Vegeta and Nappa. "These things aren't bad, but they're not good enough to beat us," he said.

Vegeta scoffed "Well then, that at least makes you stronger than our training dummies." he said condescendingly, making Yamcha scowl at the words before he floated back to his friends.

"Freaking troll doll looking ass." he muttered lowly while crossing his arms.

Raditz chuckled at that, before looking at the others "Who wants a turn?"

"These things aren't all that," Piccolo snorted. "Gohan, you fight the next one," he said simply.

"Huh?!" Gohan said in alarm.

"You've trained this entire year to get stronger. Show us that it wasn't a waste of time," Piccolo smirked.

"Not quite the way I'd have put it, but he's right," Raditz nodded. "Go on Gohan, I know you can beat a simple Saibaman."

"That runt beat a Saibaman? Let's see about that," Nappa laughed as the remaining Saibaman stepped forward with a feral grin.

Gohan gulped but stepped forward as instructed.

"Are you sure about this?" Tien asked with a frown.

"Yeah, I mean this is his first battle…" Krilin frowned.

"It's BECAUSE it's his first battle I'd rather he start with something 'easy'," Raditz sighed, while discreetly handing Yamcha one of the Senzu's he had on hand.

The fight soon started as the Saibaman didn't wait for any prompting and lunged at Gohan. The boy seemed surprised, but quickly went into action, blocking the punches and countering with a few kicks and punches, pushing the Saibaman back, before the two began clashing, but mainly on the ground. Gohan did well holding his ground, fighting the Saibaman head on, but like it or not, there was an edge of experience Gohan was lacking, and one the Saibaman seemed to instinctively have even if not much, evident by how every now and then the Saibaman managed to get through his guard and land a hit or two, but Gohan kept hitting right back without missing a beat. However, after one such clash, the Saibaman grinned...and opened its head, releasing some kind of fluid aimed right at Gohan.

"Gyah!" Gohan gasped in surprise, and on instinct went for an attack. "Masenko!" he shouted, firing a powerful blast of energy from his hands, evaporating the liquid and hitting the Saibaman dead on, destroying it.

"Huh… well, not gonna lie, didn't expect that." Nappa admitted.

Vegeta hummed "That boy… he isn't human is he? Did you somehow have a brat that grew up quickly, Raditz?"

Raditz scoffed at the silly thought "Close, but no. He's my nephew if you must know."

"Ah, the half-saiyan brat you and Kakarot went to save a year ago." Vegeta noted in remembrance, reminding them again that he had overheard all those events a year back.

Gohan went back to the group after that, looking a bit embarrassed "Um… sorry about that everyone. I panicked."

Raditz smiled, before putting a hand on his nephew's head "Don't worry about it Gohan. The important part is that you won anyway. I'm sure if my brother were here he'd tell you how proud he is of you winning your first fight."

Gohan smiled gratefully at the words, nodding "Thanks Uncle Raditz." before he accepted a Senzu as well, to make sure he would be at full strength.

Raditz chuckled a bit before his expression went serious. "Okay, the last one is the Jinkouman, and that one MIGHT be a bit of a problem for some of us here, so just to be safe...you or me, Piccolo?"

"I'll do it," Piccolo smirked. "I was getting bored from just watching anyway," he said and with that he stepped forward, facing off against the Jinkouman who seemed raring to go even despite what happened to its fellow Saibamen.

"Well, this should be an interesting enough fight," Vegeta smirked as he and Nappa continued to watch the battle unfold.

And that's the chapter.

Hope you're all satisfied with this now, because we're properly in the Saiyan Saga, and already thing have changed.

Look forward to the rest in... who knows how long?
