Review:
I stayed at Hogwarts seven months ago and should have left a review then, but better late than never. This is an amazing place and it's changed my life.
I can't fault anything about it. It's a wonderful boutique hotel, with a certain aged charm. Walking in, you feel as though you're going back in time. I visited as I'm a writer and was looking to clear my head, a change of scenery to help me work.
Minerva McGonagall was there at reception and was extremely helpful, as were all the staff.
In all honesty, Hogwarts didn't do a single thing wrong, except… when I opened the door to my room which an old-fashioned key (a lovely touch), there was someone else in there. His name was Ron and he was the most beautiful man I'd ever seen in my life.
Of course, we were both a little embarrassed but once we started talking we really hit it off. Whilst I managed to get a different room, Hogwarts offered a free meal for the inconvenience which I shared with Ron. The room service was fantastic. As it turns out, Ron was on a similar getaway having been forced to take time off after working a lot of overtime with the police.
After two days we decided that we did wish to share a room after all and again, Hogwarts was very accommodating in this regard and Albus bumped us up to a suite. My two-day getaway has ended up being a lifelong commitment as I proposed to Ron three days ago and he said yes.
Thank you to all the staff, to everyone involved and a particular thanks to whoever made the mistake and double booked the room for Ron and I. We would have never met otherwise and I wouldn't have found the man that makes me feel whole.
Do you have any additional comments to make?:
We're going to spend our honeymoon there so I'll be back to review that then. Thanks again.
A/N: Prompts and Challenges -
- Day Twenty of the Meet Cute Marathon: A checks into a cosy inn while on a cross-country road trip, beyond tired and ready to collapse. When A gets to the assigned room, he or she is in for a surprise! Someone else, B, is already in the room. Uh-oh.
