Armageddon's Child
With thought its own, it takes to wing,
To leave the voice of God behind.
It soars over an endless sea,
Ever eastward, flying blind.
…
Once it had a different form,
Once called a high entia.
But new form was forced upon it,
Now bears name "telethia."
…
So from Bionis it escapes,
Armageddon's child flees.
No salvation on the land,
But what is here upon the sea?
…
No birds to share the joy of flight,
No fish it spies within the deeps.
Day turns to night then night to day,
But over ocean it can't sleep.
…
Still it flies, without a word,
Only speech from breeze and waves.
To Bionis can't return,
But a headstone, its choice has paved.
…
The horizon, ever distant,
Nothing out here but ocean wide.
No life is found beyond the titans,
It falters, falls, now time to die.
…
Its body sinks into the depths,
But here it's free from God reviled.
Live as a slave or die in freedom?
Choice made by Armageddon's child.
