Best Day Ever... Driver & Blade Style

AN: Whelp. Here it is at last. The first Chapter of what could be a long running XBC2 and RWBY crossover... Honestly... I'm not sure if you guys are gonna like it, but here it is anyway.

In the down town Vale a certain book store was about to get some special customers.

"Is this the place," asked a gray haired teen smugly. This is Mercury Black, son of the late assassing, Marcus Black.

"Looks like it," said a dark skinned, green haired girl with red eyes. This is Emerald Sustral, a street thief. The two had arrived in front of Tukson's Booktrade, home to every book under the sun. As the slogan says. "Now, let's get this over with fast," Emerald said as they entered the store. Only... "The door's locked," Emerald said as the handle wouldn't budge.

"The lights are out, and the sign says closed," Mercury pointed out. It was around twelve o'clock and the shop is supposed to be open at this time of day.

"Did he find out," Emerald wondered in worry as she began to try picking the lock, with Mercury looking around to make sure no one would see. Thankfully the streets were nearly empty.

For now. "Open it fast, we're not exactly inconspicious right now," Mercury hissed, not expecting their prey to have locked the door.

"I'm working as fast as I-ACK!" Emerald was interrupted by the door being suddenly opened from the inside and being pulled in by someone.

"Em," Mercury exclaimed as he rushed in, aiming a kick at whoever had grabbed his partner in crime.

Only to loose his footing as someone tripped him before kicking the guy further into the darkened store while the door was shut with a click of the lock. "What're you two doing here," asked the mystery assailant in an even tone.

Emerald took out her weapons, with the idea of shooting the attacker until... "You! What're YOU doing here." Emerald demanded from Perceval who had pulled the two in, before anyone on the streets could've seen them.

"...Disposing of a rat," Perceval responded, while pointing at a particular spot on the clerk's desk. Right there, in the corner, a motionless hand was peeking from around the corner. "What about you?" Emerald's attention was snapped back from the motionless target she and Mercury had come to kill.

"Same thing you did," Mercury replied in annoyance as he got back up, "Speaking of which, what gives you the right to steal our target?"

Perceval gave Mercury a disinterested look. "...As I recall, your boss has told you to keep your hands clean while in Vale," the assassin Blade spoke while giving the two a pointed look, "I wonder what she would say if she heard you being disobedient."

Mercury glared at the guy that threatened them so blatantly, "What makes you think you're gonna walk out of here alive?" The arrogant boy said while taking a fighting stance.

"Mercury, don't," Emerald shouted, "Remember what he did last time?"

"He just got lucky," Mercury shouted in anger at the memory of Perceval taking him down so easily. Seriously, the guy looks so lax that it's impossible to think he couldn't be taken by surprise.

"...I believe it is more likely that you underestimated me... Just like you do with everything else," Perceval replied simply, earning an annoyed growl from Mercury. "Now... I need to dispose of this body, so I would like it if you two left," the red helmeted Blade said as he pointed towards the door.

"Let's just go," Emerald said as she moved to Mercury's side and grabbed his arm, "He saved us the trouble of dirtying our hands anyway, so we no longer need to be here."

As much as Mercury would like to kick Perceval's stupid face in, he decided to suck it up and leave with Emerald. But just before they exited, Mercury turned to Perceval one more time, "Mark my words, one day, I will make you beg for death." With that empty threat, the door was closed, leaving Perceval to dispose of the body.

Perceval took a sip from his gourd before glancing at the motionless hand. "They're gone Tukson," the assassin said after a moment, and no sooner had he spoken, did the hand retreat behind the desk and the "body" stood up.

"...Thank you," Tukson, the owner of the store and a White Fang member who had planned to flee to Vacuo, said. "But why did you help me," Tukson asked, knowing that Perceval was Adam's "living weapon". The man thought he was about to be killed, until Perceval told him he was going to let him go and tell Adam he had finished the job.

"...Because I could," Perceval said as he stood in place for a few moments, "...I don't need another reason." The two associates of that woman complicated things, but if things had gone south... Perceval would've made those two disappear.

"...Thank you so much," Tukson thanked again as he moved to the back of the store to finish his packing.

"Just make sure you get out of here before anyone finds out the truth," Perceval called after Tukson, before deciding that he had stayed long enough for his story to be convincing.

Meanwhile at Beacon, Blake had a notebook open. The hidden cat faunus was staring at a page where she had a hand drawn picture of Adam.

Just then, Yang decided to lean against Blake. "What'cha doing," Yang asked, cheerfully.

Blake quickly shut the notebook before Yang could get any ideas, "Nothing, just going over notes from the last semester." However, what Blake had forgotten for the moment, was that Nox was standing right next to her, and he saw what she was looking at. Not that he was going to talk about it.

Yang caught a grape with her mouth, before replying to Blake, "Blaame."

"Nice one," Dragunov commented from his seat next to Yang. A stone slab he had taken from outside.

On the other table across from theirs, Nora giggled alongside a little blonde girl. Well, I say little, but judging by her developing bust she's already a preteen at minimum.

This little girl had her hair done in two puffy buns. There was a pair of tiny red horns poking out of her forehead, just before her hairline. Her cute face is topped off with tiny pointy ears and large bronze eyes. The girl wears a sleeveless gray outfit that ends in a skirt. On the shoulders of her outfit, there's a red scarf that floats behind her head in an act of defiance against gravity. Strangely, at the back of her skirt, theres a blonde tuft of hair, like the two buns on her head. On her feet she wears thigh high boots. On her arms she has blue markings up to the middle of her forearms. On her wrists, she has thick metal cuffs. But the two most interesting features she has is the large glowing blue halo floating behind her that has large glowing orbs in it, as well as the Core Crystal on her chest. The Crystal is embedded into a metal base, which in turn was attached to the little girl's chest. This little girl is Electra, Nora's Blade.

Electra also launched a strawberry, just like Nora had taught her. The small fruit landing into Yang's mouth, with the blonde bomb-shell giving the little blonde Blade a thumbs up.

At that moment, Ruby had arrived, slamming an enormous binder into the table before clearing her throat, "Sisters, friends, Blades... Weiss." That last one earned an offended "Hey!" from Weiss, but Ruby ignored it,"Four score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream."

"This ought to be good," Yang told Dragunov before catching another grape... Except Dragunov decided to be a jerk and smacked the fruit into his own mouth mid-flight with his tail. Giving his miffed Driver a shit eating grin afterwards.

"I dreamt that today, the eight of us would come together as a team and have the most fun anyone has ever had. EVER!" Ruby's cheer didn't exactly give the reaction she wanted.

"Did you steal my binder!?" Especially when Weiss realized that the binder in question had "Vytal Festival Activities Property of Weiss Schnee" scribbled over with a marker pen. And beneath it was "BEST DAY EVER ACTIVITIES!" written beneath it.

Ruby opened her mouth to speak... "Ruby, I thought you said that I'm not allowed to take what isn't mine. So why are you allowed to," Roze asked, giving the most accusing look his white eyes could muster. Or that's how Ruby saw it.

"I... I am not a crook," Ruby said nervously, feeling very awkward about her Blade calling out on her little blunder. Sadly it looked like, Roze wasn't convinced.

"Ruby, what're you talking about," Blake then asked, getting more curious about Ruby's plans.

And just like that, Ruby got back on track, "I'm talking about kicking off this semester with a bang." The words were emphasized with a finger gun motion.

"I always kick my semesters off with a yang," Yang punned, earning various noises of discomfort from anyone that wasn't a chuckling Dragunov. "Ehh? Guys? Am I right," Yang said, before getting hit by an apple on the head.

"Boo," Nora and Electra jeered in unison.

Ignoring what happened to Yang, Ruby continued, "Look guys, it's been a great two weeks and with the tournament at the end of the year. Our second semester's gonna be great, but classes start back up tomorrow." At the last part, Ruby had a bit of a sad look, which was instantly replaced by happiness,"Which is why I have deviced a series of wonderful events for us today!"

Weiss was not excited for some reason, "I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store."

"If Ruby says it's gonna be fun, then it's gonna be fun," Roze countered, having utmost faith in Ruby.

"That's debatable." Nox showed on his scroll, earning a white hot glare from the rose reaper.

Ignoring, Nox's opinion, Blake spoke up, "I don't know... I think I'll sit this thing out."

This earned Weiss' attention,"Sit out or not. I think whatever we decide, we should do it as a team." Those words made Dahlia smile at her Driver with almost motherly pride. Then Weiss got off her seat to say her next piece, "I for one think that-" "I got it!"

That shout from Nora was the only warning anyone got before a pie hit Weiss right in the face. During this conversation, Yang had thrown an apple back at Nora in an act of vengeance, but had instead hit the guy behind the orange head. From there it started escalating, until Weiss became the latest victim.

Now, as the white haired, creampied girl glared at team JNPR, both Nora and Electra pointed at a black haired woman in a dark blue yukata.

The woman in question was tall, with straight black hair. There were two long red tendrils coming out of her hair, neatly curving over her head, down to the tips of her hair that extended all the way to her bottom. The tips of the tendrils had three spines with webbing around them. Despite the woman's hair being long enough to reach her rear, a portion of it was gathered into the back of her head, with several hair pins that had actual lotus flowers on them, making it look like the back of her head was covered in them. Interestingly enoug, where ears are supposed to be, there are instead spiked fins. Her face was oriental, with finely sculpted features, which were sadly marred by a shocked look at Nora and Electra trying to shift the blame on her. Anyway, she was clad in a mostly dark blue Yukata, with a magenta sash tied around her waist, to keep the ensemble together. Around the arms, there are patterns of various water flowers at the end of her sleeves. With the bottom of her yukata having white patterns that against the dark blue, looked like tidal waves. Finally, on her forehead, was the Core Crystal, in the shape of a lotus flower. This is Otohime, Ren's Blade.

Behind Pyrrha, there was a large man. Not as big as Dragunov, but still. He was covered from head to toe in metal. Like some kind of... armored carapace. The helmet had Y-shaped hole with glowing blue eyes staring through it. His left arm has some extra-armor in the form of a shield, similar to Pyrrha's Akouo in shape. Along his armored body, there are glowing blue veins that all end into the middle of his chest, where the circular Core Crystal lied, slightly dented inside as if hammered in place. This is Talos, Pyrrha's Blade

Finally, we get to the woman sitting next to Jaune. She wore a skin tight mecha armor... Well maybe not skin tight, but it certainly shows off her figure. The armor consists of multiple silver plates that cover the woman's entire body in segments. The largest plates covering her upper torso and back. Actually, without what looks to be the neckhole of a skintight black undersuit, she would be mistaken for a robot, or a cyborg. Though the latter is still debatable. On her head, there is a silver fore head protector. She has blonde hair which is tied into one long braid that extends to her lower back. And as with most Blades, her diamond shaped Core Crystal was on her chest, right above her modest bust. This is Joana, Jaune's Blade.

Ren had his palm covering his face, while Pyrrha and Jaune looked worried at what happens now that Weiss had been sullied.

Around that time, outside the cafeteria. Sun Wukong, a monkey faunus from Mistral was walking with his blue haired friend, Neptune. All the while the monkey faunus told the guy about how he met Blake and by extension team RWBY.

"Man, that's harsh," Neptune commented on something Sun said.

"So then we were fighting side by side, and she was super fast, and I threw a banana at a guy. Which sounds gross but it was awesome," Sun re-told about how he and Blake fought Roman Torchwick at Vale docks not too long ago.

"Nice," Neptune commented about the humiliation the "guy" had to have felt.

"Yeah. And the best part is, she's a faunus," Sun said, before remembering that he wasn't supposed to say that. "But that's a secret," the guy tried to correct his mistake.

"Got it," Neptune said simply.

"And I don't mean, 'I'm gonna tell Scarlet the moment Sun turns his back' secret. I mean 'secret' secret-" "Whoa, whoa, chill out man. I got it," Neptune interrupted Sun, "I got it."

"You better," Sun warned half-jokingly, "I just don't wanna screw this up you know. The people here are the coolest! No offense to you guys." That last one was almost added as an after thought.

"None taken." But considering everything Neptune has had to put up with Sun, that's the least of it.

"Okay, just be cool when I introduce you to them. You'll be cool, right," Sun partly implored his friend.

"Dude," Neptune said as he took a cool stance.

"...Good point," Sun said as he and Neptune were about to enter the cafeteria. Only, if they had been paying attention, they would've seen foodstuff flying around the cafeteria from the windows. Or occasionally a person who got thrown against a window.

As soon as they entered, the cafeteria, a lot of students ran past them shouting something about food fight. And then they saw it.

Nora was standing on a stack of tables that form a very crude castle, with her hands on her hips. "I'm queen of the castle! I'm queen of the castle," Nora sang alongside Electra who was mimicking her Driver. The rest of team JNPR was also ready for war alongside their Blades. Although, Otohime was missing.

On team RWBY's side, Ruby was pointing at her enemies," Justice will be swift!"

"Justice will be painful," Roze added in, mimicking his Driver.

"It will be DELICIOUS!" The rose Driver and Blade shouted in unison, with the rest of team RWBY joining the battle cry along with their Blades. Except Dahlia and Dragunov, who were missing. And Nox, who doesn't talk, but he did raise his fist alongside Blake.

As the chaos begun to unfold, Dragunov, Otohime and Dahlia had used some of the tables to make a makeshift barricade to protect what little food they managed to save from the fight. And themselves.

"Aren't you going to join them," Dahlia asked Dragunov who was cleaning a fried turkey from it's meat.

"Nah. If I joined them, the fight would be over in an instant," Dragunov said after swallowing a mouthful before returning to his food. Say what they say about him, but Dragunov has proven to have better table manners than Yang. Although that doesn't take much effort as far as Otohime was concerned.

The woman in question shook her head at this. "Such savagery," the water Blade sighed, feeling mild disappointment at her Driver letting himself be coaxed by that rabid animal that pretends to be a girl into this non-sense.

"Now, now. Don't be too harsh on them," Dahlia said, as she returned to her own food as if there wasn't an overly intense food fight a couple metres away.

Speaking of which, team JNPR's initial watermelon bombardment was countered by Yang equipping turkeys before punching the fruit's out of the air. Which was soon followed by Blake picking up two bagels and start swordfighting with Pyrrha who had her own bagel. The two engaged in a deadlock, which was soon broken by Pyrrha having to get away from a barrage of plates thrown by Nox.

"Get behind me," Talos shouted in his partially metallic voice as he raised his shield arm for the projectiles to break against. All the while Pyrrha did as told and took cover behind her Blade.

As this was happening, Dahlia took a peek from behind their barricade to see the chaos. "It's moments like these that I wish we had aura," the ice bunny commented as she lowered herself back into relative safety.

"To use food as weapons," Dragunov asked, emptying one of many soda cans they had gathered into his gullet. During some of the classes, the Blades had learned that normal weapons and equipment are conduits for aura. Which is why Blake and Pyrrha were able to use bread as weapons.

Judging by the look on Otohime's face, she did not share their enthusiasm, "Using food as a weapon is not only wasteful, but also an insult to the cooks that put their heart and soul into making it."

Dahlia looked thoughtful at that speech, "That's true, I suppose."

During this debate, Pyrrha had come out of her cover to throw her bagel at Blake, who dodged it. But the baked food still found it's target in Yang. Fortunately, the blonde was able to punch it out of air, and another. But a third one got the blonde.

Then Ruby used one of the trays as a makeshift board to surf on a table towards their quarry. Jumping with the tray in an attempt to hit Pyrrha, but Talos moved in to block Ruby with both arms. Unfortunately, his attempts were in vain, because Roze had gotten the same idea and with Pyrrha momentarily distracted, she was an easy target.

"Why you little," Talos growled at the reaper Blade, who knocked his Driver away, as he deflected Ruby off of him, before throwing a punch at him. Thankfully, Roze was able to duck under it before taking some distance, because Joana was charging in to assist with another tray as a makeshift shield.

As Talos and Joana engaged Roze, Jaune and Ren were charging at lone Ruby. But Weiss appeared to spray ketchup on the floor, which made the boys slip and slide into a cluster of tables, like bowling balls against pins.

Nora didn't like the treatment given to Ren, so she jumped up, grabbing a pole from the ceiling. Stabbed it into a watermelon on her way down, and started using it as a makeshift hammer. She started by smacking Ruby away, with Weiss barely avoiding it. The heiress picked up a swordfish before launching a counter attack, pushing Nora back. But the carrot top refused to go down, returning to fight Weiss.

The two exchanged blows for a while, before Nora finally got a hit on Weiss, smashing her against a pillar in the back. The pillar actually broke from the impact. Ruby had gotten back up just in time to see her partner falling down. With a burst of her semblance, Ruby caught now motionless Weiss out of the air.

"Weiss! Weiss! Don't leave me! NOOOO!" As Ruby cried melodramatically, the pillar had collapsed into the ground harmlessly... Harmlessly, because no one was under it.

"...You do not seem very worried about your charge," Otohime commented on Dahlia's non-chalant nibbling of her food as the ice bunny's Driver was possibly injured at the very least.

"If Weiss was in a life threatening danger, I wouldn't be sitting here," Dahlia pointed out as she felt that Weiss was perfectly fine physically.

"...I'll take your word for it," Dragunov commented simply as he reveled in the sounds of chaos, now done with eating.

Back in the fight, Yang was dashing at team JNPR with her turkey gauntlets. Ready to smash her quarry.

Ren had also gotten back up, using a pair of leeks to block a kick from Yang... Which also gave him an eyeful of what was under Yang's uniform skirt. This was one of the reasons Yang preferred shorts and pants.

And then the actual fight started, Yang punching at Ren, while the black haired boy slashed at Yang with the leeks. The two put up a good fight, but Yang finally got a good uppercut on Ren, sending the boy into the air. Ren responded by throwing the leeks in midair towards Yang. However, Yang dodged them, jumped into the air, and smashed Ren back down.

As Ren tried to struggle back up, but was ultimately unable to, Nora was furious at her childhood friend being pummeled. But then an evil smile graced her face as she got a very naughty idea. "Electra! Piggyback ride time," Nora shouted to her Blade who was sruggling to keep up with her.

"Yay!" Electra cheered as she latched herself onto Nora's back. You see, Electra is an electric Blade. One who cannot control her enormous power over lightning very well. She accidentally zaps anyone who so much as touches her. But for Nora with her semblance... well... let's just say that the orange head's strength might be infinite now.

"NORA SMASH!" The power was already getting to her head, as she dashed in to give a well placed strike on Yang

But the blonde brawler avoided it. Knowing that she can't match Nora in strength right now, Yang tried to outmaneuver the carrot top. Unfortunately, even with her extra baggage, Nora finally managed to get Yang with her superior reach. Smashing the blonde through the roof, which broke her melon hammer in the process

Even Dragunov winced at the hit Yang received.

"...Should I be worried," Dahlia asked the fire Blade, worrying about Yang's safety.

"...I don't think so," Dragunov said, not sure if even he believed it.

"...You do realize that what goes up, must eventually come down," Otohime pointed out as she glanced at the hole Yang had made upon her exit.

"I'll worry about that when-" *Pshh* Dragunov was interrupted by a hissing sound that came from surprisingly close, "What was that?" The draconic Blade turned his head every whichway to locate the source of the hissing sound... That is, until his head started to feel wet. Dragunov brought his hand to feel up his hair, which had some kind of sticky liquid on it. Wondering where it came from, Dragunov felt up the rest of his head. Feeling nothing, he tried his horns. And there it was... ripping the offending thing off, causing a burst of liquid on himself and almost on Otohime's beautiful yukata, Dragunov inspected a broken soda can that somehow found itself punctured on his horn.

Dahlia's eyes widened. "Otohime, I suggest you take some distance," the ice Blade said, following her own advice.

The water Blade was about to question, but then she saw the hair cracks in Dragunov's stone body glowing with heat. Which prompted the black haired woman to take her distance from the dragon.

The said dragon rose to his feet. "WHO THREW THIS!?" Dragunov roared, startling every food fighter in the room. Scanning the room, Dragunov's eyes fell on Nora, who had lost her weapon and was holding a soda can that she was about to throw. "YOU'RE DEAD CARROT TOP!" With that, Dragunov jumped over the makeshift barricade and charged at a very terrified Nora.

Blake and Nox considered themselves lucky that Dragunov had directed his wrath at Nora and not them. Because the can that found itself pierced was actually deflected by Nox and he didn't check where it flew to.

"PROTECT LADY NORA!" Joana shouted as she summoned her Blade weapon. A mecha sword with straight blue, single edged hardlight blade. A Catalyst Scimitar. Because against Dragunov, nothing else would be enough.

Having the same idea, Talos summoned his own weapon. A dark spear with a huge leaf-shaped blade with bronze decorations. A Megalance. With their weapons out, the two forgot about Roze, who had been dual-wielding two trays as makeshift shields.

"Out of my way," Dragunov roared as he smacked Joana away, while using his talons to block Talos' attacks. However, while the draconic Blade was focused on Talos, Electra had detached herself from Nora and took her chance to smash Dragunov away with her Blade weapon. A giant hammer that was about half her length, but at least twice her width... The hammer head, not the pole. Anyway, the hammer was red and gold with blue lines on the surface. But the weird part about the hammer was that it's shape reminded everyone of a drum.

Anyway, Dragunov reeled away at that strike for more than just the strength behind it. "Don't be mean to Nora," Electra said, as she prepared her Shield Hammer against Dragunov's literally burning rage.

As much as Dragunov was angry at Nora, he couldn't hate Electra for wanting to defend her Driver. Besides, Electra was so damn cute. And Dragunov likes cute things. "Come now, little one. I just want to burn the carrot top to crisp," Dragunov tried to sound kind, but his still burning rage and his words betrayed him.

"You're not laying a finger on Nora," Electra declared as her halo crackled with electricity, as if to prove a point.

"...I'm sorry then," Dragunov said as he raised his fist to strike. Only for Electra to bring the hammer in front of her, creating a large shield made of electricity, repelling the dragon. "Urghhh... Shieldhammerers," Dragunov growled in increasing annoyance, before being pushed back by bolts of energy.

Joana had gotten back up and shot sword beams at Dragunov. "Get back, you foul beast," Joana said in a metallic voice as her headpiece had turned into a helmet with a glowing blue visor. Now she really looked like a robot, despite her blonde braid coming from behind the helmet.

"Ladies, get down," Talos shouted, following his own words. Not deciding to question the metallic Blade, Joana and Electra hit the deck. Just in time to avoid a barrage of flying soda cans, which Pyrrha had raised to pummel at Dragunov.

The cans barraged at Dragunov's still glowing hot body, but the dragon didn't budge. "If you think this can-RAAAGGHHH!" Only for Pyrrha to switch the angle in a way that raised the fire Blade off the floor to be swept away. While a portion of the cans swept Blake and Nox away. Both Blake and the two Blades were slammed against the back wall before falling down.

With that, Ruby decided to end this. She used her semblance to dash past the slowly recovering team JNPR, turning into red missile as she did. But with the speed she was going, she created a slipstream that pulled cans, foodstuffs and any other thing that was light enought to be swept away. Such as members of team JNPR along with their Blades... Except Talos, who was too heavy to be swept away, but even he was struggling a little. When Ruby reached the other end of the now ruined cafeteria, she jumped into the air, avoiding team, JNPR that were stuck into the wall... with everything ranging from soda cans, to foodstuffs to errant utensils being slammed against them and their Blades who shared their fate.

After the barrage ended, Ruby dropped back down... with the rest of team JNPR and two of their Blades falling off the now colourful patch of wall. Leaving blank spots in their own shape behind.

With that, the food fight had ended in team RWBY's victory.

"I love these guys," Sun said to Neptune. The two had been watching the exchange.

Neptune didn't agree as he had gone purple from, whatever had hit him.

And then the doors slammed open at a very irate Glynda's arrival. With a flick of her crop, the disciplinarian professor fixed the cafeteria. Tables and chairs were put back in their place. Plates, and utensils were returned on the tables, with all the broken once being repaired as if they were never broken. Even Otohime and Dahlia lost their barricade, not that they needed it anymore.

When the cafeteria had been fixed, Glynda glared at the students, "Children... please. Do not... play with your food." It seemed like Glynda wanted to say a lot more than that, but the students in question didn't even look guilty. Evidenced by the loud belch that came out of Nora.

And then... Yang returned with a loud crash... Or she would've if Dragunov hadn't sensed her arrival and moved to catch her. However, before Yang could even think about thanking her Blade, he dropped her unceremoniously. And that's when all the Drivers started laughing, with some of the Blades joining them. Although Otohime and Joana were glaring at the dragon in disapproval of his actions.

Before Glynda could snap at the students and their Blades, Ozpin placed his hand on her shoulder. "Let it go," Ozpin said gently.

"They're supposed to be the defenders of the world," the professor said, clearly frustrated.

"And they will be," Ozpin said reassuringly, "But right now, they're still children. So why not let them play the part." After those words, Ozpin let go, seeing that Glynda visibly relaxed. "After all, it isn't a role they will have forever," Ozpin said as he walked out of the now fixed cafeteria.

Well, Ozpin may have told Glynda not to scold them, but it looks like the same doesn't apply to Otohime. The water Blade was in the middle of lecturing the two teams and the Blades who took part in the food fight about respect for the food.

AN: So here it is... As you can tell, I started from Vol 2. Because the trailers take place after Vol 1.

Now, about the Blades of team JNPR: I had planned to give Electra to Nora from the start, because Duh. Besides, have you ever seen a duo that causes unspeakable destruction simply by hugging each other.

Now for Jaune's Blade, Joana. She's a mecha-style armor wearing knightess. While this chapter didn't show much of her character, I can tell you that she didn't call Nora a "Lady" by accident. I understand that people would've wanted me to give him Godfrey, but I wanted to give Jaune a weapon similar to what he already has. And... well the Catalyst Saber was the only one that fit in my opinion. As for his current relationship with Joana... let's just say that a certain someone feels threatened :).

Now for Talos... Anyone who has studied Greek mythology should know what I used as a base. Anyway, some of you might wonder why I didn't give Pyrrha Wulfric. I admit, in terms of character, the beastial Blade would've been a good match. But considering my plans for this fic, Wulfric was on the list of Blades I can't use for RWBY cast.

As for Otohime... I wanted to give Ren a water Blade. But sadly, none of the existing water Blades... fit him. Except for Gorg perhaps, but I can't come up with interesting dynamic for them. And Sheba... *LMAO*. Now, you may have gotten the impression that Otohime doesn't like Nora... it's because she doesn't. As for why... take a guess :).
